I for one, am very much pleased with work he has done in and on my home. So glad I was his referred client.

He is a great handyman but he doesn’t finish his job .
I love the work that he done but I need him to finish it .
I paid him and tip him please just finish my daughter want you to do something in her house but we need you to finish my house first before start another job ..

Dan came out to reset my pavers I also had a few more projects I needed done I paid him a deposit two weeks before he able to come out because I work long hours which wasn’t a problem Dan can out he reset the pavers was supposed to come back out to put the sand in between the pavers before he could come back out it rained hard I noticed the pavers were flooding I reached out he admitted that was his mistake he’s supposed to come back out to fix the pavers and clean my gutters I still owe him 100.00 bucks but I haven’t heard anything it’s been another week now I’ve got to find somebody to redo the entire walkway to fix his mistake I have proof pictures and videos I even tried to push the pavers back so I could get my gutters cleaned out because I knew he’d had to take up all those bricks to fix the problem so I’m definitely not gone recommend him now I get a message with a subliminal threat I’m assuming lol so I just called Dan twice after he sent me this bogus message he won’t even answer the phone for me. He’s calling me a liar, but I have cameras all around the residence. I have pictures text messages. Definitely somebody I wouldn’t recommend nobody to deal with. Here is the proof Dan please stop the lies I told you I had a few projects I wanted done the floods were not around the pavers you forgot that ? I showed you the other side of the house where I wanted a French drain installed don’t try to lie yes I gave you a deposit weeks before and I didn’t even know you to prove I’m straight up I can show my picture proof that my pavers has nothing to do with other jobs we discussed so stop trying to change up the story it’s in the messages you admitted you messed up I even got pictures and videos of the very first day you came out and I showed all the projects I wanted to get done and it also shows me paying you I even said I still owed you 100.00 bucks but talk about how you didn’t really want to come back because you knew you’d have to pull all those bricks back up and reset them I waited a whole week for you to respond to my last message and nothing and even gave the option to wait on the job and get the gutters FACTS ironically soon as I post on social media you respond lol I’ll upload pics to prove before your work my walkway was not flooding since you wanna make yourself look good on social media don’t worry about fixing my pavers I hired a real professional company that’s licensed and insured and certified and you have the audacity to lie saying I was hovering over you I offered you water and ask did you need anything else are you serious ok here we go proof I’m definitely not hovering over this dude proof he’s a liar because he doesn’t want other people to see he’s dishonest now I’ll expose you more and you never quoted me nothing about no wood being dry rotted either now he’s pretending like I was being cheap lol anybody who reads this review can obviously see that he’s a bad business man and a liar almost everything I’ve said he tried to contradict but cameras don’t lie why would I hover over this man if I didn’t have some kinda trust in him do you think I would’ve put a deposit in his hand the pictures prove he’s a liar I even offered him water told him if he needed to take a break he could got those pictures too I’ll even add the pictures of his work up close Dan if you didn’t like the post you could’ve contacted me like a man and we could’ve cleaned this mess up but you called me a liar called me jealous lol it took days to respond on social media but you sent me that message a hour after I posted on social media

I've had Dan to my house 2x now and he's always respectful and a hard worker. Nothing to worry about give him a call!

Dan repaired my bbq grill and he did a very good job. He's a nice person and very skillful. Good price to.

I bought the things they need the next day they came out very professionalism. Basically came to work the job correctly and go. Great service

He came out for an estimate and was very polite. Set an appointment. After an hour or so of him not calling or showing at the time set I sent a txt asking if we like to reschedule and he sent txt saying yes. Since then I've called, sent txt and left voicemails with no response. I refuse to hound anyone, I just wanted to support this business. If you can't do the work or is too busy I would've preferred that response upfront. It's very unprofessional to ignore someone especially after you missed an appointment.

In response to the comment. I was very excited to get started. My step was already damaged. During the consultation the step was damaged more, I literally said it's ok as long as u back. You never did. Yes my steps were horrid which is why I reached out but as u were checking, the repair I made to get us by until it was repaired was damaged more that what is was initially. This is why u received the rating. I'm not try to hinder ur business, however it was more than just ignoring me, once your schedule was clear I feel you still could've reached out to me.
I still a think u are an awesome individual just disappointed in my service personally.

Awesome! I texted the # listed and he came by very quickly to help with my garage door. Small fix and he was fast, professional, and priced very fair! I’m definitely going to be calling him for help with the things around my home I can’t do myself. Highly recommend!

DetroitHandyDan is a black owned service that is great and they do many things. I actually called Dan and because he thought the job was simple he gave me step by step instructions to save me money.

Hired through Angie's list and I was very impressed with Daniels professionalisman ,however my paint job of garage is very blotchy and needs touched up.Daniel is not returning text messages and phone is full . He lies and says he's coming an d never shows up.
So my next step I will take you to court. And I thought you were honest about your work. Miss S Hill

Used him for a concrete step in the summer. Overpriced but I paid anyway, wanted to support. Told him of several odd jobs he quoted but never returned phone call. Good thing though because the concrete step he did do isn’t holding up. I assume it wasn’t sealed it’s currently crumbling in this cold weather and will have to pay someone else to come do it.

2023 Update
Attempted to redeem himself via a response on google which was entirely a lie. Step was not crumbling at all it was fine just short. Bottom line just get somebody else to do it.

The work surpassed our expectations. He did a phenomenal job! It was refreshing to have somebody who actually values the work that they do. It's not easy to find great work nowadays. We were quite impressed by this gentlemen. We will continue to work with him. He will be our go to whenever we need something done. He is proof that great work is not dead.

Daniel is incredibly competent and professional. He is efficient with his time and does quality work! He helped me get my house ready for sale doing lots of odd jobs all over the house. I highly recommend him for a big jobs and small.
