Matt and his team have done two different roofing repairs for me over the past few years. I am delighted with their work and the professionalism of their staff. Pricing was good. I recommend the DeShazo team without reservation!

A limb was dropped on the roof by tree trimmers and 2 weeks later I noticed water dripping from the kitchen ceiling. Called DeShazo for a temporary covering on the roof to stop the leaking until a permanent repair could be made. On this rainy day they made a house call within a few hours to temporarily stop the leak. Their subsequent repair completely repaired the roof. This company had replaced my roof 7 years ago.

The DeShazo team did a great job from the very first phone call all the way to the completion of work and ease of their payment system. I'm glad that I was able to support a small business with a long history in the RVA. Installed bathroom exhaust vents.

Great business to work with. I've had 3 experiences with DeShazo in the past couple of years. An urgent repair and they were there for me when I really needed the help. And then an over-all inspection a few months later. And now because of their ease to work with, I chose them for a whole new roof installation. DeShazo and Son Roofing just completed an outstanding complete roof replacement on our home.

We received a no-cost estimate from Matt Corker (who was excellent to work with) and compared his estimate to two high-rated alternative companies.

One thing I liked most about Matt was that he uses Certain-Teed's highly rated Landmark Pro shingles (which I saw highly recommended on a U-Tube video). These shingles are more heavy-duty than the shingles used by other companies and are likely to last closer to 30 years.

DeShazo and Son is a family owned and operated local business on Route 1, within a block of Parham Road. The 8-man crew that did the job was also outstanding, starting at 7:30 AM and finishing the job, including excellent clean-up, by 7 PM on the same day.

I was very pleased with the work and level of service provided. What really stood out was the extra attention given to the protection of the surrounding area while the work was being complete as well as the thorough clean up. Would highly recommended.

I asked three roofing companies to give me quotes on re-roofing my 2-story home, workshop building, and flat-roof add-on room. One of the two companies failed to respond. Of the two that did, DeShazo provided a quote that was notably less. So, was their product, workmanship and professionalism less than I expected? NO! I chose from a wide selection of Certainteed (Saint Gobain) Landmark PRO shingles. The work was then scheduled, and on that date, they came in-force. The shingle replacement on the house and workshop took the best part of one day, and was professionally done. The work was non-stop, and thorough, down to the craftsmanship in placing and sealing flashing around the chimney and vent pipes, to aesthetically painting those vents. How about protecting plants and cleanup? Excellent. They covered the ground around the house and workshop with tarps to protect from any falling materials. When the roofing was done, they meticulously dragged rolling magnets around the house and workshop, and removed any roofing nails that may have fallen to the ground. After all scraps of debris was removed, they took out a leaf blower for a thorough clean-up. The grounds looked better after they finished that before they started. As for the flat-roof add-on room, they sent a specialized crew of two technicians the next day to rip-up the old flat-roof, and replace it with thick rigid insulation, followed by topping it off with a layer of TPO material. Then, new flashing and fascia was placed, followed by the same meticulous clean-up. I was more that pleased with their work from start to finish. I was ELATED! I highly recommend DeShazo and Son Roofing for any roofing application.

Needed to have some gutter work done. On 4/8/25 I filled out the contact form on the website and Matt contacted me within 24 hrs. to set up a time to come see what I needed to be done.. Within another 24 hrs.a quote was received and contract accepted and on 4/18/25 the work was completed. This was a small job but Matt and his technicians were very prompt and professional. This was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend DeShazo and Son for any gutter or roofing work.

We had a great experience with DeShazo and Son Roofing. We had used them previously at our old house. Based on our great experience then, we called them about replacing the aging roof on our new place. Jonathan came out promptly to give us a quote, was infinitely patient as I worked through HOA issues, he was communicative through the whole process, and his crew did a great job installing the new roof. They also were thorough with the site clean-up at the end. They finished up yesterday and I've already recommended them to a colleague.

Matthew and crew are amazing. Deshazo has done multiple jobs for our rental properties as well as my mother's, my brother's and my personal homes.

Excellent roofing repair job. Day 1 - got free estimate. Day - 2 called to schedule job. (They had a cancellation, so job was scheduled that PM). Roof repaired and gutter replaced within 90 minutes. No muss, no fuss. Also the lowest of 3 estimates. Couldn't be happier.

I had a roof leak. I called DeShazo and Son Roofing. Jonathan Corker showed up the next day and surveyed the issue. He saw some flashing that wasn't installed correctly etc. He also did a quick fix with some sealant until they could replace the flashing. The DeShazo team did a great job repairing slate on the front of our building. It was a difficult area to reach but the repaired broken slate and replaced some rotted wood. We have used them several times are always impressed with the quality of the work.

Excellent work by DeShazo roofing. I have a large, steep, and complicated roof. Their team showed up on time, worked from dawn to dusk, and did the entire job in less than 2 days. They left the property cleaner than when they showed up and the new roof looks great. I would highly recommend them.

From estimate to completion, everything was done extremely professionally and well. Only nails or debris we've found was just a couple of nails and one small scrap of shingle underneath two of our things. Cleanest roofing job I've ever had!

Great Company! We had a issue on the roof that wasn't actually the roof. Our old attic fan cap blew off. Our roofer we used wanted to replace the entire fan and have. me wire it myself. The cost would have been twice as much as this great company charged us. I know in this day you MUST turn a huge profit to be a business but not gouge people. We have alot of roofs on our properties and these guys will be our new roofers. Thanks so much

I just had my roof repaired by DeShazo and Son Roofing after it started leaking during a heavy storm. The technician pinpointed exactly what was wrong and gave a quote on the spot. He was on time for the estimate and for the day of service. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. Even-though I hope not to see them for a very very long time, I will definitely be using the company again as well as referring them to family and friends.

We had a hole in our garage roof due to a racoon and DeShazo were quick to respond, come out and inspect the problem and come back with a solution. They were quick and professional at fixing the roof, and gave us other advice and adapted their services (an price) in order for us to have the racoons humanely removed. Highly recommend!!

DeShazo and Son roofing just finished a complete new roof on my commercial building. Their quote was very fair and their crew arrived shortly after I signed the contract. They worked diligently every day until the project was completed. The site was left cleaner than they found it.

I had a roof leak and Deshazo scheduled an inspection within a couple of days. When the representative came out he talked with me, listened to what I had done, inspected inside and outside the home and not only quoted me on the repair but made a few unpressured suggestions as to how I could prevent the possibility of future leaks. In addition to this a big rain was expected the next day and he made some calls and got his repair folks out the same day to make the necessary repairs. The techs were quick and efficient. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of roofing and/or repairs.

I had called multiple roofers before I was told about them by a co-worker. Not only did they come to my house quickly with an estimate that was much more reasonable than a few others, they were able to perform the fix very quickly after I approved the contract.

This company did an excellent job putting a new roof on a shed for us and for a very reasonable price. They promptly provided an estimate. They promptly scheduled the work about 10 days or so out. On the scheduled day, two nice workmen showed up right on time. They worked all day and did a very nice job taking off the old shingled roof and putting on a new one. They replaced several sheets of the plywood under the shingles. The rest of them were in good shape. They were very responsive to any comments. They cleaned up very well. The bill was exactly as quoted. We were very happy with DeShazo and recommend them.

Joseph Deshazo was able to come by the evenibg of the day I called the office to check out the roof. He was able to have his men come by the next day to repair the three roof columns. I was very grateful, as it was going to rain the next day. The estimate was very reasonable, which included the service fee. He is a very nice man and has a wonderful personality. I am glad that James Jackson of Cottage Construction recommended Deshazo and Son Roofing. I definitely recommend them.

We had Deshazo's put a new roof on our house about 10 yrs ago and all was great so I called again for another job. The guys did a nice job on the roof. My only issue was they did NOT clean up anything after the job was done. Obviously we had to spend time cleaning up and fortunately we had a magnet to get up the nails. The contract stated they would clean up the site after completed. I would remind them to clean up if you choose to have them do your project. I texted Jonathan about the clean up but he did not respond. Thank you

They were able to look at and actually fix a leak in a matter of days when every other company called said it'd be multiple weeks. Fantastic service.

I called multiple roofers to check out some leaks I discovered in the recent rainstorm. DeShazo had by far the best front office staff who were well-informed and very helpful. They set up an inspection and once I approved the work to be done the crew came out and did a great job - Quality workmanship, good coordination on scheduling, and very clear explanation about what they would be doing. No up-selling, just a focus on fixing the problems. I will definitely go back to them when it is time to replace the roof.

Great experience! Lowest bid for the roof of a new barn and 2 sheds, so a smaller project. They were attentive and extremely mindful of the nails as to not hurt my horses. Very appreciative!

Deshazo is the best roofing company in Henrico County. They are the only company I will ever call for roof related issues with my house. They are the only company I will ever recommend.

Very pleased with their work on our slate roof. Bought a new home and had these guys recommended to us for repairs on both the roof and gutters. A couple years back, we had a roof leak and called DeShazo to come look at it. They determined it was the vent pipes allowing water in at the seams. They replaced them and I thought we were squared away. Then, in 2021, we had more leaks. I called them back out and they told me the vent pipes were leaking *again*. They told me the replacement collars THEY PUT ON had cracked bc they were plastic. Essentially they put in faulty product that failed and then charged me to replace it a second time using a different material. I told them I had paid them once for this exact fix and they didn’t seem to think it mattered. They charged me again anyway. We can’t trust that whatever fixes they do are quality, so we will never hire them again.

I did call when it occurred, asked to speak to the manager/owner. They told me nothing could be done. I had to pay again. Why am I posting my review now? Because we are *still* working to repair the damage to our ceiling from the FAULTY product YOU installed. You are responsible for the products you install, period.

Not only that, I’m supposed to believe metal vent collars weren’t available in 2019?

Mr Jonathan Corker was a pleasure to work with everything went very smoothly.The crew did a great job with the roof install and cleaning up.First time I have ever just had a quote on a job from one company but after talking with Jonathan I know I wanted Deshazo roofing too do the job it was a wise decision.
