In hindsight we never should have done business with Nick seemed very kind and nice and made a lot of promises. We gave him close to $3,000 when he started the job he didn't come back to finish the job being in breach of the contract this guy I would not do business with.

Nick was unreliable and his project of my back stairs has created steps that are too narrow, a four inch attempt at a railing which is not really a railing and risky. Also, the stairs slant in a way the collect water that puddles and freezes making using the staircase useless.

Nick did a fantastic job repairing my deck! His quote was very reasonable and even though the damage turned out to be quite a bit more than expected, Nick stuck to his original estimate and only charged for some extra wood. The craftsmanship was top notch, in fact the refurbished parts of the deck look better than the original. You can tell he loves his job. Recommend wholeheartedly.

Nick is the REAL DEAL. Good help can be hard to come by. I adopted a property with a large deck in urgent need of reinforcement & new stairs. Nick was extremely friendly & prompt to give me a quote. From there he got to work immediately with his team. The end result was so fantastic that I decided to have him & his crew stain the deck as well. 10/10, could not more highly recommend!

I am very happy with the work Nick did to replace steps for my porch and built/installed a custom screen door.
After working all day, Nick stopped at my home to review my project and give me a cost estimate. He listened to my ideas for the project. When my ideas were not "safe", he came up with recommedations that met my needs (they were pretty good ideas) and kept me within budget. The project started immediately and was done on time. The final results are great. I would recommend Nick for your project.

Nick was great. I called on a Thursday and he was there working the next day. We were in a major time crunch to get a deck to get a deck removed before selling our house. He went above and beyond to do everything he said he was going to do. We will definitely recommend Nick to anyone that needs deck work done, and in the future he will be the first we call.

Nick as looking at his phone at a red light. Rear ended me, begged me to let him cover the cost in cash otherwise he was going to lose everything including his business… (red flag). I gave him a shot despite that he couldn’t produce a valid drivers license or current insurance card. Well after getting estimates and agreeing to give him a week to come up with the funds, he disappeared and stopped communication.
If he doesn’t have car insurance what’s the chances his business insurance is valid? I’d be worried to give him a deposit on a job if he has demonstrated he will ghost his responsibilities.

I love my refinished deck! it looks fantastic and Nick turned it around in great turnaround time. i have a two tiered wood painted deck with steep stairs and it was in rough shape before i found Decks Pittsburgh. Nick is an excellent craftsman. The quality of his work and the value for your money can’t be beat. He completely replaced my deck flooring and rebuilt the steps. My deck is much better now than when it was first built. I’m very pleased with the end result and highly recommend his work. It’s nice to see someone who takes pride in his work and does things right. No shortcuts.

Nick and Jeff did a great job with demo and rebuilding essentially a new deck. All within 48 hours of original phone call and consultation, even worked in the rain. Highly recommend.

Nick and John repaired our deck, removed old wood and replaced it with composite wood. It's really a great looking deck now. Nick even made me a special gate to use when I need to get on the roof. Nice job overall.

Nick Beatty is one of the finest and most skilled contractors/carpenters I have ever worked with. HIs pricing was fair and the end product, a deck, was far more than I expected. Nick's craftsmanship is reflected in every square inch of the project. I was really impressed with Nick's ability to make adjustments to the project when unforeseen obstacles presented themselves during the construction without impacting the overall cost. I feel very fortunate to have found Decks Pittsburgh. I needed a porch beam replaced and Decks Pittsburgh did a great job. Nick responded quickly and was very communicative throughout the process, which was completed within days of the original phone call. The replacement was a big improvement over the original beam that had been there. Really happy and would use Decks Pittsburgh again.

I reached out to Nick when I noticed the wood on my front porch was rotting and the roof was starting to slouch. He informed me that the person who had previously installed the porch had used a product not intended for outdoor use! He took care of the problem in a matter of just a few days. It looks great and it's a relief to know that it was done the right way.

I had an estimate within one week of contacting Nick. My deck was completed in the next 10 days. It was very professional. Beautiful work. Cleaned up daily. I am extremely pleased with the entire project.
