Decks & More replaced our deck about 5 years ago, did a high quality job and we were very satisfied with their work. We recently had an issue with the deck (primarily cosmetic, not structural), and I called Frank about it. He gladly came out and took a look at it, and made the repair at no charge. Things happen, but the true test of a good company is that they will stand behind their work, and that’s exactly what they did. I continue to highly recommend them if you’re in need of a new/replacement deck!

Frank and his crew with Decks and More did an excellent job on our porch project. They screened in a previously open air back porch, added a landing and a door, and installed a gas fireplace with stonework all around it. Frank even added complimentary lighting on the outdoor railings, which looks fabulous. The subcontractors were all highly skilled and efficient, and the projected schedule was accurate. Perhaps most of all, the workers showed up when expected and completed the job! The finished product looks wonderful and we are pleased. We would strongly recommend Decks and More.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND USE DECKS AND MORE. I called in asking a question about my deck I'm wanting to screen in, then wanted a quote on it, only to realize once Frank asked me where I'm located, that I'm well out of the radius they work within (a state away, haha). Even once figuring out they couldn't get a job out of this, Frank, with over 22 years of experience to boast and numerous awards, stayed on the phone with me for over 10 minutes answering all my questions as well as offering me his expertise with answers I didn't even know I needed to ask questions about!

Frank did a great job on my deck and a slab for a garage he poured for me a while back. I can't recommend him enough; I was surprised and happy to find someone local for the project, and the quality of the work was absolutely fantastic.

I really can’t say enough good things about Decks & More. I used Frank and his team of experts for a major construction job at my home, which included a screened-in porch with fireplace, an adjoining outdoor deck with an under-deck system, and a paver patio beneath the porch and deck. The result is superb - construction quality is top notch and it looks beautiful. These guys don’t skimp on the “minor” details, whether that’s building to code or the fine cosmetic touches that make all the difference. They know what they are doing and they are a well-oiled team.

More than that, Frank is a complete gentleman, highly principled, and an excellent communicator. As a result, I found him him easy to collaborate with, super transparent about cost and pricing, always available to answer questions and provide advice, and proactive about updating me on progress. Further, he says what he means and does what he says. The job started on time, and the work has been completed on schedule, on budget, and to specifications.

As an aside, you should heavily discount if not outright dismiss the negative reviews, which in just about every instance speak to folks approaching Decks & More with unrealistic expectations. When you hear the other side of the story, you get a clear sense of Frank’s integrity. In fact, that was one of the main reasons I chose him as my contractor.

My experience was resoundingly positive and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone he actually did work for who would say different. 100% recommended.

Our Decks and More deck which is almost 3 years old had one post that was showing some deterioration and so we called Frank the owner and mentioned our concern. Within 30 minutes he had responded to my message and within 2 days, had his crew out to replace the 4x4 post. It was good to see Frank and his team again after they were here initially to replace our old deck and build the new one, which we love. Frank's commitment to customer service is the best in the business and I have recommended him to many friends over the past 3 years. This service call was just another example of how dedicated he is to is customers and to the work he stands behind.

Frank and his team remodeled all my decks on the back of my house and installed a screened-in vaulted porch. His team did an outstanding job structurally and aesthetically. We couldn't be happier with the final product. If you anyone is looking for quality work that will last for years and that has incredible curb appeal, then you really need to talk to Frank.

Frank's crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Our patio was sinking due to drainage issues and the existing porch had to be torn down. Decks & More drew up new plans and patiently navigated the Sandy Springs permitting process -providing frequent updates along the way. Construction was completed in a timely and efficient manner. Frank stayed in constant communication and quickly responded to our many questions during the process. The new patio and porch are beautiful!

I called to see if this company replaces railings on stairs and porches. He replied "this is to small a job for us" I asked what is not a small job then, he replied " we like to do full tear downs and build from the ground up"
Just a suggestion, sometimes customers like to work a small project or two to build trust in a company before shelling out thousands of dollars. This project was by no means a small one to start ( never asked how large the porch or stairs were) but if thats your answer to a question better we know now.

I hired Decks and More to rebuild the deck on the back of my home and couldn’t be HAPPIER! Frank Pologruto, responded quickly to my request and shared great design suggestions. Everyone at Decks and More was professional, friendly and amazing! Their implementation was of the highest quality and their attention to detail was incredible.

I would not recommend, simply because Frank was beyond rude. I was calling on behalf of my friends to set up an estimate at their home that I help manage and he was insistent on not working with a "third party." He clearly didn't listen to what I was saying so I'm glad he ruled himself out for himself. I could only imagine how this man would react if you questioned his work. Hard pass! Now that I've looked through his reviews better, It seems he has a problem with women. Stay away. I've never had any "professional" from the Atlanta area act like that to me before.

We had a positive experience with Frank of Decks and More. We replaced a 30' two tier deck and privacy wall and added a gate. Frank was very responsive and always returned calls. His carpentry crew is talented and can perform intricate woodwork. Frank handled the permitting process and there were no issues working with the City of Decatur. He stayed on schedule throughout. We had one miscommunication on the design and Frank resolved the issue without a change order. He wasn't the cheapest quote, but you get what you pay for and he delivered on a quality product.

Decks & More did an outstanding job on our project. Frank and his team carefully listened to our needs, provided options based on their vast experience and as issues were found with our old deck and Underdeck system they addressed them with our new deck and Underdeck. We are very happy with the work done and are now waiting for warmer weather so we can enjoy it.

My wooden deck was falling apart and needed replacement. I decided to go with composite decking instead of wood. His pricing was comparable to another company which provided a "general" estimate. However, I chose Frank because considering the investment, I felt more comfortable dealing directly with the owner instead of a company with a sales team where I had to leave a message and wait 2-3 days for a response. Frank met with me and was very attentive to the specific elements I wanted. He provided options with clear pricing. He communicated with me throughout the entire project in a timely fashion. The crew was excellent. The craftmanship outstanding. I am 100% pleased with what they have done. Additionally. he went the extra mile and did things like replace exterior outlets, and replaced and painted a few pieces of siding.

This is my first time ever giving a review on anyone's website, just because i never have the time. I am making the time today because i am truly shocked at how this company operates.
I called to set up an appointment, an employee or owner whoever he is named FRANK was sooooooo rude and disrespectful simply because he would not have the opportunity to initially meet with the owner of the property.
He told me you are just price shopping, "we are a high end company and this is not a good fit for us if they cannot meet with property owner directly."
I explained this is just preliminary talks and once he visits the property and determine what needs to happen he would meet with the owner. He was so disrespectful and arrogant, as though he did not need our business because they are so high end and famous!
Supporting business that feels like they can only cater to the elite is ridiculous!, The sad part is he just lost the purchase of someone that could buy his company cash! so sad when people feel like they can judge you by what they think you bank account looks like! he is a true disgrace to the American dream, folks with mid income and those who are just trying to get their dreams realized. .

WE DO NOT SUPPORT ELITIST BUSINESS MODELS AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU, THEY SHOULD EARN THEIR CLIENTS NOT BULLY THEM!!!!

Frank was great with bringing our deck idea to life. He provided 3 different options based on budget with engineering plans that made the selection process very easy. The best part was when they got to work there wasn't a moment wasted. The contractors came to work everyday and were very efficient. They actually completed the job faster than the initial estimate and threw in an arbor for free. I know who I'm going to for the 2nd phase of my deck project.

Frank wants to see how much you are wanting spend rather than actually working. During my conversation I was told what I was asking for was too small. This without even seeing the space I had to work with. He will price you out as fast as he can. That's not customer service. Find someone that will actually work with you, not your bank account.

The only experience I have with this company is the initial phone call in trying to obtain a quote. He wasn’t kind and seemed to enjoy telling me that his company only did big projects (my project involves replacing a double front porch- 480 square feet on both). So save yourself the phone call unless you want to build an entire wing on your house.

I was so pleased with the work Frank and his crew did on my home earlier this year, I called Frank once again to update/upgrade steps that lead to my backyard. The existing steps were built using railroad ties and had begun to rot. They had become an eyesore and increasingly were a safety concern for my family. I was so pleased that Frank was able to return and make suggestions for an upgrade that would coordinate nicely with the stacked stone he had added to my home’s foundation. It is such a relief to find a contractor who listens to my needs and makes suggestions that suit my needs. Frank and his crew installed large flagstone steps with a stack stone edging. I am delighted with the new steps, and I will not have to worry about them rotting in the future. I look forward to my next home improvement with Decks and More!

Another great project with Decks and More- 1950s Ranch Facelift
When it’s time to update your home, Decks and More is the company to call. Buh-bye ugly roof over the bay window, overgrown shrubbery, and original siding and iron railings. Frank and I met to share ideas for updates to my home and developed a plan for the following changes-
• Change the roof line with a gable roof extension and roof extension on the right side
• Decorative cedar brackets under the roof extensions
• New siding and shake style siding on the front of the house
• New porch columns and rails
• Stacked stone (custom-chiseled) along the foundation
• New gutters and downspouts
• New paint on all side of the home
Once again, Frank and his crew exceeded my expectations. After designing a plan, Frank and his crew made suggestions that made the “facelift” even better than I expected. We planned for the gable extension but found the roof line needed to be extended on the right side for better balance. I continue to be amazed by how the materials are custom for each project: the cedar brackets were crafted on site and the stacked stone was chiseled on-site. The work was completed on time and the quality is outstanding. I highly recommend Decks and More!

I made contact in the online chat. Provided my information for a return call. No one called so I contacted the office 4 days later. Spoke with Frank who told me I couldn’t afford to have a deck built by Decks and More unless I had $50,000. Really? I didn’t even tell him how much I had to spend nor tell him what I’m looking for. Then he recanted his statement and said $20,000 but I need to shop around first and call him back. How rude. He has no idea what I can or can’t afford. Very offensive. I went to work the next day and my co-worker had the same experience. What a coincidence! I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Frank and his crew were fantastic. We had a new deck built with an underneath seating /patio area. His crews are professional and have great attention to detail. We are so happy with the work and highly recommend!

We had the corner of our horizontal 6ft privacy fence pulled up by a large tree during the last big storm.
Frank and his team where fast and super professional, matching the horizontal design perfectly, which is no easy feat!

Would definitely NOT recommend: after an extended phone conversation in which Frank, the owner, was a bit too condescending and cocky for my taste, he decided to schedule an appointment with us at the end of that week at a specific time. Apparently, my time, money and business was not worth his time and effort. He did not show up, nor did he call. Any business OWNER who would do business in this way is not reputable and doesn’t deserve our business. Thank you, Frank, for saving us the trouble. We were happy to find a professional contractor who will do our 40’ composite deck, extended 40’ patio, fence with 4 gates, retaining wall and steps with future projects scheduled for phase II and III for a screened in porch, 2 remodeled bathrooms, gym, and office.

Had an issue from ground settling under a post on a deck that Frank put in several years ago. Even though we were outside the warranty period, he came out the next day and had it replaced two days later for no charge.

wow, I was excited about using this company for a major outdoor job I am having done. I came to look at the reviews which are mostly great but it seems when the company gets a bad review they are extremely argumentative and defensive. I could only imagine how the transaction would turn out if a misunderstanding or disagreement of terms would be handled. we have to remember others are always watching how business and disagreement are handled when they are not pleasant that is the difference from a good company and a great one.I would not be using this company solely based on the argumentative tone of owners.

Amazing Transformation!

The original goal of our project was to replace our old deteriorating wood deck with composite, expand the footprint slightly, and add under decking to make our space below more usable. We spoke with several contractors and luckily, we ultimately found Frank. Frank had great ideas for our deck as well as for our adjacent screened-in porch. He offered multiple options and broke out the pricing so that we could review and choose what met our requirements and fit within our budget. Frank also introduced us to Moisture Shield Cool Deck composite for our deck- so glad we found it, it looks great and has stayed cool on our feet in the direct afternoon sun (no shade in sight!) Frank and his team exceeded our expectations- they did high-quality work with a lot of surprise finishing touches that we weren’t originally expecting. Our deck and porch are so much lighter and brighter now! It is a significant upgrade and is amazing to see the huge difference looking at our before and after pictures (attached below). We also love the underdeck and fans that we added below the deck and porch, it definitely expands our outside living area. Frank was very responsive and easy to get in touch with throughout the entire process from start to finish. He also stayed within our budget which was important to us for a large investment. We have already received many compliments on the project from neighbors, and we can’t wait to invite friends and family over soon once COVID settles down! We are very glad we chose Decks and More and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an upgrade. Thanks Frank and team!

I had one of your reps come to my house and view my deck, it just needed painting. He gave me a price, later the next day e-mailed me a contract, I agreed with his price, he responded he would call me to schedule when they would come " wash' . Almost a week later, still haven't heard back. You can't do the work say so don't waste people time. Definitely wouldn't recommend them. My personal experience.

Decks & More just re-built my 2-story deck. I bid the job to a couple different contractors and even though the overall cost was more than I wanted to spend and he wasn't the absolutely cheapest, I trusted Frank to deliver craftsmanship & value to my house (it is my biggest investment after all). He has a sample book with many design options; we went with oversized 8'x8' support posts, aluminum balusters, and night lighting. Being in the City of ATL there were a couple more hopes to jump and Frank handled everything. I recommend Frank with Decks & More.

We had a tree come through our screened porch - damaged but not destroyed. Our insurance company said, for such a small repair job, you’re better off with a company that specializes in porches and decks. We called a few contractors but Frank was the only one who seemed enthusiastic about the project. Long story short, after a lot of back and forth with the insurance company, Frank basically negotiated us a brand new deck and screened porch instead of just putting a band-aid on our 50+ year old structure. He even got insurance to cover some “pre-existing conditions” to bring the structure up to code to pass inspection, after insurance *insisted* that they would not cover that. In addition to being our insurance savior, Frank’s work is fantastic and beautiful. The screened porch has a vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling and diagonal floor decking. They also installed a new roof on the whole house, and replaced the porch gutters to match the existing gutters. Frank himself didn’t just schedule subs and walk away, he kept on top of the work and took care of all kinds of small details without nickel and diming us. The only thing we really had to do was buy a ceiling fan and some light fixtures. We couldn’t be happier with this project and have already recommended Decks & More to many neighbors who complimented the new porch and deck.

We could not be happier with the expertise and work of Decks and More.
We talked with several deck companies, and after talking with Frank (owner and founder) of Decks and More we felt he understood our needs and budget. Although not the highest bid nor the lowest bid, Frank presented a diagonal deck pattern and a gable roof with tongue & groove ceiling--options we didn’t think were available for our space.
The results were, Decks and More expanded and covered our deck and created a wonderful outdoor living area, beyond what we were expecting.
The craftmanship is total quality, such an improvement over what we had before. Their professionalism is what you would hope for. Cleaned up every day, total respect for our house and our neighbors.
At the very beginning of the project Frank supplied a detailed schedule of the project. Even with a few days missed because of bad rainy weather, Frank and his team were able to get the entire project completed two weeks ahead of schedule.

We have been working with Decks & More and Frank for several years. One attribute to look at when hiring a contractor is how they work with and treat their suppliers. They are great to work and no issues with deliveries or pickups. Also, they pay their bills!! This means no liens for their clients! Wonderful Warranty Work:
Over 8 years ago we hired Decks and More to build a sunroom and Deck for us and everything worked out very well.
We recently had some issues with water damage to our Sunroom. However, we only had a 5-year warranty with Decks and More.

We called Frank from Decks and More, he offered to come out and look at our Sunroom. And after a quick inspection,
Frank said. “Do not worry. We will fix it all and at No Cost to You”....this was 3 years out of warranty and Decks and More did not have to do anything!!
Decks and More took care of this major repair which was about $7,000.—dollars in repair work!!!

After another contractor was unresponsive, we contacted Frank and we are so glad we did. Frank gave regular updates, and did a thorough, professional job. He even sent flowers and chocolates as a thank you for doing business with him!
Frank heard our basic design concept and took it to another level. He encouraged us to increase the size (and we are much happier), add a vaulted ceiling with drop beams that are stained to match the open front curved apex along with trim detailing that perfectly matches the front porch of our home. All the installers were respectful of our home and showed great attention to detail.
Overall, Decks and More is an outstanding company that will go the extra mile for you and your family. We are ecstatic over the final product and have already started enjoying it. We highly recommend Decks & More for your next outdoor living space.

Decks + More is a great company to work with! Frank was very attentive of our project and in particular to us. He was always available when we needed to get a hold of him. Everything was completed on time + beyond our expectations! We would definitely call frank again for any other projects.

I've had Frank and crew do four jobs...one for a rental unit, one for an expansion of my deck at home, one for my daughter (who was very pleased with the work) and the latest one to fix a major problem t home caused by trying to save a few bucks on installing new handrails. Turns out, saving a few bucks cost me more than a few. The cheapie folks had never installed cable railings and totally bombed the job. So I had Frank fix it 18 months later. They did an outstanding job. If you're looking for the lowball estimate, they won't compete. But if you want quality and an accurate estimate of the time involved, and an honest appraisal of your situation, these are the people I"d go to.

Had a horrible experience just trying to deal with Frank. He came out to give me and estimate for an insurance claim to replace my deck steps. I submitted the estimate to my insurance company, they replied and said they wanted a more itemized list to include, specific materials needed, taxes and labor etc. I called Frank today with this information and he refused to provide it. Was totally rude and unprofessional. Horrible communicator. He told me my job was peanuts to him. Lol. I’m sure they do good work but the major part of business is dealing with customers. He’s got a lot to learn.

Wonderful Warranty Work!

Decks and More built a beautiful 2-story deck for our home 8 years ago. Recently, we noticed some damage to a couple of our 6"x6" handrails. I called Frank, and he personally came out to inspect our concern. Upon inspection, he immediately scheduled a team to come over, Install new 6x6 handrail posts, and dispose of the damaged wood.

All of this work was completed FREE OF CHARGE, after 8 years of completing our project......An $1,800. VALUE OF WORK..... For Free !!!

Frank has done it again! I can't say enough about Decks and More. I had my deck built almost 8 years ago by them. I had a little leak at the base of the roof near the gutter. Frank and team are great. He always goes above and beyond. If you don't want someone who tells it like it is, may not be a good fit. Otherwise, communication is great and the work is always quality and in budget.
We had an inspector at our former house compliment their work as well as many visitors. The work helped sell the house. He troubleshoots and solves problems quickly. He has done a deck (3 stories high) for us and a patio for a hot tub. He also completed a deck for friends we referred him to. Wanted to share a troubling experience I had with this company. I called them at 10 this morning for a phone consultation about replacing a small elevated deck at my house.

When the rep on the phone (I didn't catch his name) learned I lived in the City of Decatur, he said that he didn't like to work there because "not to be racist, but once black people take over a city they go on a power trip and make it too difficult [to get permits]. Your little city used to be a nice place to work, but not anymore" or words to that effect.

I was appalled that someone would hold such bigoted beliefs, much less feel comfortable expressing them aloud to a stranger and a potential customer over the phone! Needless to say that was the end of our conversation. I can't speak to the quality of the decks this company constructs, but I can say that I will not patronize them because of the nature of these comments.

Decks and More was a delight to work with throughout our renovation. Our screened porch was never used, so we decided to convert it to a sunroom. We were presented a photo album which showed previously completed jobs from which to choose our new room. Frank helped to guide us in the selection process to assure the right choices were made for our space. Mike was an excellent team leader for the crew. Decks and More stands behind their work and never is satisfied until we were. I know you will be pleased using this contracting company for your project.

I would highly recommend Frank and Mike with Decks and More! Our nightmare began on Valentine’s day, with our deck falling into the house. We found Decks and More right away, but had to wait 4 weeks due to the insurance company. Frank went above and beyond, contacting the insurance on our behalf, trying to get the ball moving. After everything was signed off on, Frank move quickly to get his workers out within that same week to try and help catch up some time. Freddie started on a Thursday and completed everything by Tuesday. I’ve never seen someone work so hard and fast!! Mike checked up on the project every morning and again in the evening. Frank sent us thank you cards for both selecting his company to begin with and for actually signing his contract – who does that anymore! So very thoughtful and shows how appreciative he was in our business. At the completion of everything Frank came out a few days later to check on us, and make sure we liked the new deck. Which we absolutely love it!

Frank (owner) increased his quote by 20% when he reached back out to follow up with us, then said he would "rather blow up this bridge now than deal with indecisive people." Can't imagine what working with a team like this would be like if any issues or changes arose. We dodged a bullet here!

WOW! Just WOW! Frank told us that our deck project would take 10 days. And those guys got it done in 5! Including tearing down the old deck! And the new deck is AMAZING! It's absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship is unlike anything we've ever seen. Lupe is truly blessed with an amazing talent & gift! We will definitely have Decks & More do other projects for us. So thankful!
