My realistic rule of thumb for most projects is to double the monetary estimate and triple the time. Deck Pros came in right on budget, and under time! I doubt I will need to use them again because of the awesome workmanship and warranty; but I highly recommend them. Great job!

I discovered Deck and Shed Pros while planning to add a garden shed to my property. After shopping the many options for fully constructed sheds, it became evident that there was not going to be an easy way to get a fully constructed shed into my fenced backyard (by accessing a neighbor’s yard, tearing down part of a privacy fence, sloping yards, etc.). I contacted Jim and Jen at Deck and Shed Pros, where they helped me to purchase a shed that was pre-fabricated in pieces and could be delivered through the existing gate! Because I had been shopping and knew what I wanted, the ordering process moved very quickly, but I noticed the company offers a full variety of sheds and buildings to choose from (identical to the fully constructed sheds I had looked at). While the shed was being constructed, Jim provided a status each week of the progress and planned delivery timeframe. On the delivery date, workers assembled the shed in under 8 hours. They were hard-working, courteous, and left the yard clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Deck and Shed Pros to anyone who is shopping for a shed or outbuilding, but most especially if you have a hard to reach area or yard! Everyone was professional, helpful, and friendly to work with and they accomplished everything as promised. Five stars to Deck and Shed Pros—I would definitely work with them again!

Deck Pros did a great job on the repair of our deck - and in the middle of February! Crews arrived by about 7:30am and worked until about 5:30pm each day to complete the job. Their project manager provided an estimate for the job. It came in on budget and for less that had been estimated by other firms. Their work quality was exceptional, especially given the temperatures. Highly recommend them for others.

At a time when it can be difficult to find companies that do good work, Deck Pros does amazing work! From our first meeting to the final day, Bob and his team were really wonderful to work with. Bob listened to all our concerns about our 20+ year old rotting decks and came up with solutions that met our needs and in the end exceeded our expectations. He provided all the necessary materials to get us through the permitting process as well as HOA needs. Joe, James and Nick did beautiful work and it felt like they were part of the family by the time they finished our two large decks. They were helpful, collaborative and responsive the entire process and made sure to keep the work area clean and picked up at the end of each day-so appreciated. Our timeline stayed true throughout, even with weather delays, material challenges as well as the addition of a large retaining wall in the middle of the process and that says a lot! Bob has all the resources to complete all the little details-electrical, roofing, gutters and everyone of them professional and efficient. Communication was consistent and timely, again something that often falls short with so many contractors. Exceptional service, exceptional professionalism. Bob with Deck Pros is one of the best home contractors we have had the pleasuring of working with. From the design stage to construction and finishing touches, Bob was exemplary in all regards. Our old deck was 23 years old and dry rotted. We designed a new deck with roof extension, multiple levels, angles, hot tub, built in kitchen with stone and granite, lighting, heating and gas lines. This was an incredible project, similar to adding an addition to your home. Bob and his team were excellent in communication, construction and clean up. James and Joe where the two primary carpenters and their carpentry skill are unparalleled. We were surprised at how the timetable was kept spot on and how the area of construction was left clean and tidy every day. Probably the most important aspect we value is communication. We have had many contractors in the past that simply did not communicate. Communication is everything and Bob went above and beyond to make sure all of the largest and smallest details were effected. There were many small details during this build that changed. Bob and his team gracefully navigated these everchanging details with precision. We could not be happier with Deck Pros. Most importantly, we have a gorgeous deck that is essentially an extension of our home. We give Deck Pros and the team 5 stars and if we could give higher stars, we would.

We recently had Deck Pros do some work on our front porch deck. We couldn't be happier with the work. Bob was very communicative and responsive throughout the whole process. James was professional and friendly. He paid great attention to detail and is a true artisan. They finished early and cleaned up the same day. If not for the beautiful porch, you'd never know they'd been there. We will definitely be using Deck Pros for our future deck projects.

When I bought my house the huge, wraparound deck needed to be completely replaced. I talked with several companies but Bob at Deck Pros earned my trust and respect immediately. He consistently communicated with me at all times, and assisted me in making modifications to fit the project into my budget. Most importantly, the deck is beautiful and the crew that did the work was very skilled and dependable. They also replaced a flagstone walkway that was falling apart. Even though they were the most professional company they were not the most expensive. It can be hard to find skilled, reliable contractors in the mountains (Conifer) but you can't go wrong with Deck Pros. You might have to wait to get your project done, but it's worth it.

I would not hesitate to use Bob w/ Deck Pros ans STRONGLY recommend him. He assisted us with the design and the Code requirements. He also had to mentor the Structural Engineer as to what would and wouldn't work.

Bob's team...Joe & Hunter...were professional and took pride in their carpentry skills.

This is a company that will do what they say they'll do. This is all anyone can ask for when taking on this kind of a project.

Creative. Professional. Builders. All of that, 100%. Bob recognized right away ways to make this detached, fully engineered project match the house and how to fulfill our desire to balance aesthetics and cost. We had a good feeling about DeckPros right from the start: only looked at a couple other competitors and did not even invite them over after talking with Bob on the phone. On time, on budget, with creative flair and brilliant little touches of individual craftsmanship from Billy and Joe, who also went out of their way to set up the rails for pre-staining, among other accommodating touches. 12" centers for the cross beams keep the deck flex to a minimum, almost undetectable. Other pleasing details are captured in the photos. Subs for electrical, roofing, and gutters were organized and precise. There was a little hitch with the masonry but the job was completed without compromise and you can see the masonry adds character of its own. DeckPros employs the most talented and reliable subcontractors we have ever encountered. The whole project turned out far more beautifully than we ever imagined it would.

Very professional and skilled team. Bob was great to work with and the build crew of David, Brian, and Chase were top notch. The quality of the deck is exceptional. We are already planning another landscaping project with them.

You can't go wrong selecting Deck Pros. After multiple discussions with several deck contractors and not getting the response I had hoped for, it is with significant relief that I came across Deck Pros. Bob and his team are professional, very meticulous, and take great pride in their work product.
Bob also worked with us to accommodate an atypical schedule requirement and personally assisted us on a design solution that was definitely above and beyond a standard install.

My decks are absolutely beautiful. Well built with quality materials. They had a lot of...interesting obstacles (read: previous owners made a mess of the previous deck) to deal with. They were professionals, explained all our options and helped us keep within our budget. I would highly recommend anyone use them. I will post pictures once the snow goes away!!!

We bought a house with a fairly large deck (1000 square feet) that needed to be replaced. After consulting with three or four deck companies, we went with Deck Pros. The other companies all seemed fine, but Bob seemed to be especially on the ball when it came to dealing with Jefferson County -- and that came in handy a number of times during the process. Whether it was dealing with uncooperative bedrock, uncooperative weather, or our well pump going out, Billy and Joe (and Dave), the crew assigned to our project, handled it with ease. And they even got water out to the site the same day the pump went out. The guys went the extra mile every step of the way and the attention to detail was impeccable. Highly recommend.

The whole experience was great… from brainstorming and budgeting through project completion. Communication was great. Any questions were answered quickly.

Bob was instrumental to the final outcome. The custom touches are what make this patio special to us… a huge 350,000 Btu fire-pit, color-changing LED waterfall, lighted columns, and a custom gate! The patio itself is beautiful, with its large pavers. Everything… the seating walls, caps, and columns! It is perfect.

Colo Deck Pros tore down our very old redwood deck and built us a 900 sq ft composite deck for our mountain home. The quality of the construction and attention to detail was amazing. This is a very professional company. I don’t know how they compare to others in terms of price, but I can tell you that the quality and structural soundness of our deck is everything we wanted, and quite frankly more than we asked. The two gentlemen who did the work, lived in our mountain home during the construction due to the remoteness of our property. I wasn’t sure about this, but they were so respectful of our home that it was like having a family member there. We completely trust Bob Orr and his workers. Absolutely would recommend this company!!

The work was a success from the start. All appointment were exactly as planned. Our deck needed repairs and before starting a thorough examination was made. They found some deteriorated board that showed no exterior indications. Work performed exactly as promised. Full explanation for everything and work was completed prior to promised date.
