After getting pretty extreme quotes from “the big guys” on our house in the Stonewall Community in Lexington, Gary came out to access the situation. He gave us an honest answer and didn’t try and sell us something we didn’t need. He fixed our issue with quality work. Very thankful.

Gary Deaton installed a new roof on our home in Gardenside in Lexington, KY on April 12, 2025. He also repaired our leaking chimney. And cleaned our gutters. We could not be any more pleased than we are. Hiring a roofing contractor felt stressful, until we met Gary. He was recommended to me by a friend who is a contractor. He told me he has used Gary Deaton Roofing for many years and would not use anyone else. He was right. Gary was easy to talk with, professional, and did exactly what he said he would do. Also, he wasn't just the sales guy. He is the company owner AND was here on the roof working with his crew. Now that we are a few weeks from the installation and have had significant rain, we know we are now leak free. I expect this new roof will be good for 30 years. He did not want any payment until the work was completed and there were no surprises. I recommend stopping the stress and calling Mr. Deaton.

Gary was doing a gutter job next door to me and I watched him and his team as they worked. Very professional and got it done in a day. Looked great when they got done. I spoke to Gary about doing my gutters. He came over as soon as he was done with that job, gave me a decent price and was at my house in just a few days to do my gutters. He done a fantastic job, got it all done in one day and cleaned up yard afterwards. I will use Deaton roofing again if ever I am in need of his services.

Well, we’ve never met a professional like Mr. Deaton. He has done work on our house twice, he has done work on the church we attend twice ( the first job he didn’t charge the church for repairs)

We had a small roof leak after the recent storms. After calling Gary, he was here within an hour. He was courteous and explained the problem. He worked in the rain and quickly repaired the issue. Highly recommend him for your roofing issues.

I was in a spot where getting my roof replaced was urgent and Deaton's was able to get me a quote quickly and do the install immediately after. Done in one day including some roof sheeting replacement. Great install and cleanup!

Gary gave us an estimate a month or two before we were ready and when we contacted him he honored the previous price. He met with us Friday @ 7:00 and had a crew at our house the next morning @ 6:30. The roofers worked until completion approximately 3:00 that same afternoon. The roof was as great as the workers. Gary noticed some bad wood and replaced it prior to installing the roof. The clean up was great and much appreciated as we have young grandchildren and a small dog that we were concerned for, but unnecessary because they were through. We would recommend Gary for anyone. He went above and beyond and even ask if he could come by to check on it. Thanks so much!

All the contractors we've ran into in the past, we had to hound them to come finish or wait for month and months to start. Then they nickel and dime ya for money through out the whole ordeal. Well that wasn't the case at all with Deaton's Roofing.

Gary had the roof redone and all the other work that he agreed to do for us before the weekend was up. That might not seem like a big deal to some but he wasn't even supposed to start till Monday. They had some extra time and got done early so they came on over and started on the work. It felt like a godsend compared to the experiences we've had with others around town that we are stilllll waiting on them getting done. Deaton's Roofing is out there running circles around the others and doing a helluva lot better job too.

Gary Deaton's crew arrived exactly when he said they would. They got to work covering shrubs and placing tarps around the house to collect any bits of the old roof that might get away from them as they removed it. They quickly and efficiently moved on to removing the old double layer roof and putting on the new roof. When the work was complete they removed the tarps from around the house and did a superb job of cleaning up the bits and pieces that had escaped the tarps and hauled away the old roof. Overall: an excellent job!

Gary was great to work with. He showed up when he said he would, gave a detailed estimate based on actual measurements and was able to get us on his schedule in just a few days. He & his team showed up when he said they would, took care to protect my landscaping and offered to remove my window screens & move any patio furniture, planters, etc. In a matter of a few hours, they had removed 2 layers of shingles & replace the shingles, underlayment & drip edge. They moved everything on the patio back to where it was so I wouldn't have to, swept up and removed all debris...and even cleaned my gutters out and put the leaf guards back on for me. About a week or 2 later, we had an awful storm...and I didn't lose any shingles or have any leaks. I would definitely call Gary at Deaton's Roofing again for any roofing or gutter needs.

I have a mid-century modern roof-partially flat and partially sloped with a sky light. It is not your average roof, making a more difficult job.

I had several roofers come LOOK at it, but Gary was able to FIX my roof beautifully. He (and crew) quickly removed three layers of roof and patch jobs, repaired areas in need and installed a new roof and gutters.
