D & D Roofing

We knew that we needed a new roof and waited till retirement. We had seen many of D&D's post projects and decided to get an estimate. Dale was professional, knowledgeable, easy to converse with, and found we may in for a little more than originally anticipated. That being said, he and his crew made the process easy and the end product was AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!

If there is anyone in need of D&D's services, they seriously will not be disappointed with any part of the process of replacing their roofs. I can, without any hesitation, recommend D&D roofing!

D & D did a fantastic job on our roof, from tearing off the old roof, to replacing tons of wood, to making sure that our gutters we the
proper size for the amount of roof we had. They were conscientious, thorough, and timely. We highly recommend D& D
for the best roofing job in Racine.

Dale came out to check on my roof leak and he took care of the issue right away. Extremely polite and communicates well. Can’t say that for many services in the area. Will use again!

I called about a leak by a chimney. Dale stopped by fixed the leak and had my gutters cleaned and didn't ask for anything in return. No pressure to replace the roof even. I decided to have the roof and gutters replaced and the experience was great.
Dale was knowledgeable and informative during the process. He stopped by several times to personally check on the roof and gutter install. They paid attention to details and made sure everything was cleaned up when completed. Dale had references
and addresses to check out his work. Wouldn't call anyone else after this experience. D&D was the right choice.

D&D Roofing is the best company I would recommend. They worked with us with an expected expensive. That we had no control of. They were very patient with us. An worked with us. Very nice and very polite people. Very responsive when needed. An was a phone call away when needed. I highly recommend this Roofing company.

Nothing but good things to say. Was responsive, timely and did quality work. Did not nickel and dime us for small items.

They are a very professional and reliable company, but also caring. They helped us through an unexpected expense when redoing our roof. They were kind, caring and patient when working with us. I would 10/10 recommended them.

I would never even recommend them to my enemies. They chose to come do our roof even though we made it clear we wanted a discount for their terrible communication, and being 4 weeks late, or our money back. They told us AFTER they got here and started the roof that they weren't going to give us a discount, when it was too late for us to send them away.
We got an estimate in the beginning of May. We received a signed contract stating 2 to 3 weeks. Had absolutely no communication about timing changing. After 4 weeks we called and were told they would try and be out by that weekend, never showed up, never called. At 6 weeks we called again, and said we would like a discount AND it to be finished by the end of week 7 OR we would like our money back and to go else where. We received a call from Dale saying he would speak with the guy who was suppose to be doing our roof. And never heard anything back.
We received a text saying they were coming out today and we called to confirm what we said last week about discount OR money back considering our garage leaked during the 1 week of storms that could have been avoided had they come out on time.
After speaking with Dale's wife who was nothing but RUDE, we will NEVER use this roofing company again and NEVER recommend them to anyone. Our "Discount" and "them doing us a favor" was not being charged for soft wood they found after the fact but she herself said had they not found that soft wood they wouldn't have given us a discount. So even though we made it clear DISCOUNT OR MONEY BACK. They chose to still come out and do our roof, since we weren't getting a discount, they shouldn't have been here and should have been mailing us our deposit back. Which to me should be considered theft and a scam. And then I was called rude several times for trying to make it clear for what we had stated last week, as she sat there and lied and claimed to have spoken to my husband last week about this issue, when he had only spoken directly to Keith and Dale. Never spoke to her until today about everything going on. She tried blaming the weather at one point. We were in a drought during weeks 1-4 and had rain only during week 5. Not a good enough excuse when there was no rain during the time period we were told they would be out.
We never received any communication until we called and left voicemails. And most of the time what was communicated to us was false.
So if you want TERRIBLE customer service, TERRIBLE communication, and work done no where near on time and it being blamed on nonexistent weather, this is the company for you!

We hired D & D Roofing to do our new roof. We had previous bad experiences with other roofers in the past. They were very knowledgeable and reliable. As well as provided excellent customer service. They stand behind their work. Not like the other roofers that you won't hear back from. We would definitely recommend them!

There was a no call, no show, I called back to reschedule. A week later was the rescheduled appointment. Again, there was a no call and no show. I left a voicemail for the roofer and did not receive a reply at all. I called again today and I will not be using D&D in the future.

These guys actually showed up! Even earlier than they said! And guess what? They actually came back a few hrs later to finish the job! The FIRST roofers that ACTUALLY DON'T blow people off! Thanks, I hope your quick fix works, at least for now. And if I need a roof I'll call you guys first.
Well, guess what again? You guys were spot on. The snow melted, it rained, and NO leaking. I did a bit of research and found that the smell of rotten eggs in the basement was hydrogen sulfide gas, the same that comes out of the boot. We did snake it but maybe too late. In cast iron pipes, if it is oxidized,can turn into sulfuric acid. That could have caused the cast iron pipe to decompose or crack. The only thing that can neutralize sulfuric acid is baking soda. So I figured maybe if I flush a bit a few times a month it'll help prevent this. I'm unsure but it can't hurt. Thanks again.

D&D was very good, my grandmother called and the guy came right out and took care of the problem. I would highly recommend them and the price was very reasonable. Great job!

We had a roof that was leaking days after a rain. I called several people looking for someone to make an emergency repair. Dale was the only one (out of 4) that returned my call. He showed up within hours (as he said he would). He said he could fix it the next day. We were in a rush, this was a Monday and we were to get more rain on Wednesday. They fixed it on Tuesday. We have had several torrential rains since then and not a drop in the house! But here is the most impressive part: Dale actually checked back with us after the rains to see how it was holding up. That is the perfect definition of above and beyond! I can't say enough about the professionalism and reliability. But I can say that we will call them next time we need his help.

These guys came out to my house because of a potential small roof leak, found by an inspector. They came out and assessed the roof and only found a small nail hole, which they calked and looked at the rest of the roof and said that it looked in good condition. They wrote up a paper stating what they found and did, and when I asked for the bill he waived his hand as if to say no charge! He said that it is not very often that he comes out to check a roof and doesn't find a problem! I was blown away at the honesty and integrity of these guys! I would recommend them for an honest and thorough job for your roof or home improvements!
And if you are thinking that I must know these guys or was referred by someone, that is not the case. Never met them or heard pf them before finding them on the internet. Made my day to meet such nice caring people!! Thumbs up!

Very horrible service. Never confirm date that they would start then they started tearing off the roof they tore my dish off so I didn’t have any TV service and then when asked to put it back on they told me it’s not their problem they don’t do that so now I have to spend the money to call the cable people to have them put my dish back on the roof. I called the number on the side of the truck and no answer no return call. very very poor service his workers don’t care they didn’t ask for permission to take it off of my roof they didn’t ask permission for anything they just did what they wanted. Would never call these people. How do you fix someone’s roof tear there tv dish off and then refuse to put it back up? It’s not always the job you do it’s how you present yourself. And your workers blow that for you.

If I could give them a BIG FAT ZERO I would. Continuously blown off and no calls returned when I needed my roof fixed last summer. I had made appointments which I had to take off of work to wait for them to come to my home. Well they blew me off and never came. No respect for anyone's time or consideration for other people. A month later they did the estimate after numerous cancellations and someone finally came by and did the estimate. I gave them the $600 to start the job. He never came when they are supposed to 2 months later some guy stopped by and dropped off supplies (which I hope equals to the amount paid). I told him to come back in 3 weeks and he never did. I called in September and noone called me back. The biggest mistake I did was not complain right away and let it go. I called and they told me they had fired the person who had screwed up their business. Just recently they said they were going to contact me right away and take care of the situation and of course I was blown off again and called today to find out that they said I had already hired an outside contractor which makes no sense at all because I hired them not some outside contractor. They also said the contract is void and I will not get a refund. Regardless I was pretty much given a run around and screwed over by this company. I want my receipt to prove that those materials they dropped off are worth 600$ and then I won't feel like it was a total loss.

UPDATE: They NEVER mailed me a receipt of the materials the man dropped off. I had a roofer come buy and he price checked the materials. They equaled less than 200$. So, once again, this company has proven to be a complete sham. AS WELL AS UNPROFESSIONAL!!! YOU SUCK!

My neighbor had their roof redone this week. Their crew had blocked off our driveway for 3 days straight and were constantly on our property. They never asked to use our property or block off our driveway and I had to get my vehicle out. When I returned yesterday, they had roofing material all over our driveway and yard. When I asked them politely to take care of their mess, I was told “we will get to it when we get to it.” Mind you they had no permission to be on my property in the first place. Beyond that, all 3 days they have left extremely late and when we go to put our vehicles in the garage, we have to take flashlights and metal sweepers with us. We have found no less than 50 nails in our driveway because of them. When confronted about this, they just shrug at me and walk away. Maybe they do decent work, but their crew treatment of neighbors around job sites is completely unacceptable. If I could give less than 1 Star I would.

I loved how owner Dale Decker recently donated a newly built ramp for a Racine man, which allows him to enter an leave his home!! AWESOME!!!!

Maybe you just don't understand how much hard work really go's into doing a roof! !!! D&D has been in business for a long time and will continue to be because of their reputation of the work that they do....
