Bruce came to my house within a few days, sent me a great estimate, and was able to squeeze us in for an emergency type repair quickly. Custom Craft came highly recommended to us by many people we know, and being a locally owned business, we were very excited to do business with them. The roof itself looks great and it seems to be done with care and quality. Our problems all seemed to be around lack of communication and expectations. The salesman that worked with us was great at the beginning, but didn't continue. After putting down a down payment and giving a timeline of when it needed to be done, there was no communication to us until almost a month after it was supposed to get started when we finally reached out to ask when they were going to start the project. They worked quickly and efficiently when they did get started. After the first stage, there were some issues with messes made inside of our home, during skylight replacement. They called to ask if they could lay a tarp down to cover our furniture but it never happened. We understood that this was a mistake and just asked for more clear communication for the future stages. Shortly after the shingled section was done, we had a pretty substantial leak out of one of our PVC plumbing vents into our bathroom. They came out to inspect, notified us that it wasn't their fault because it appeared that the previous owner didn't fix it correctly the first time. After some push back from us, they let us know that the office was willing to "foot the bill". When they began the metal roof section of our roof, there was zero communication. They let us know they would be starting that week, dropped off supplies on a random day (without any warning), and then began the next day (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving). The supplies and their large trailer were left right in front of our door overnight, so we assumed they would be back the next day because they said it would be finished that week completely. We purposely changed our daycare plans so our newborn and toddler wouldn't be at home with our babysitter while they were working (due to debris/noise). The inside of our living room had debris, shingles, and tar all over the floor after the tear off. We were hosting Thanksgiving so had just had our home cleaned and the tar/shingles were stuck all over our furniture. Then Wednesday, they never came back. They left the trailer and all the supplies parked directly in front of our door the entire rest of thanksgiving week. The Monday after, no workers came to work. Then at 3pm on that Monday, someone came to get the trailer. My yard is not their parking lot or storage area. If they would've asked if they could leave it, we would've had them park it on a different part of our property so that our thanksgiving guests could access our front door without stepping over roofing materials and a large dumpster trailer. After receiving our final bill, our total was not adjusted to reflect the changes that were made from a duralast roof, to a shingled roof. Luckily we caught this in time, otherwise we would have paid an extra $3,000. Again, it's all about clear communication and setting appropriate expectations. Our issues were discussed with the salesman and nothing got done. I called the office, and the office worker i spoke with was very understanding and worked with us. We did receive a credit for our inconveniences, which was appreciated, but when you are spending as much money as we did, it didn't really put a dent in it. We so badly wanted this to be a good experience, but unfortunately we are just happy to be done with it all. Running a business is just as much about the quality of the service as the communication and customer service to get there. We truly wish that this would've been less of a headache and hope that they learned from the issues that arose.

As a Realtor, I see a LOT of homes, and work with a LOT of contractors. Custom Craft is on the short list to recommend. Bruce responded right away to my inquiry, he came prepared to answer any questions and inspected a house for me and provided a quote right away. Exceeded expectations.

At the end of August I contacted roofing contractors for quotes to re-roof our house. Bruce Meyers responded for Custom Craft.

There are a variety of details associated with a project like this-permits, warranties, dumpsters, clean up. We needed a complete tear-off and several sheets of underlayment replaced. The roof had no ventilation. There was an old unused chimney we wanted to eliminate. A few pieces of aluminum facia were missing due to recent storms.

After speaking with Bruce and discussing preliminary numbers, we already knew we would be awarding the job to Custom Craft. Bruce assured us they would have the job done before winter and they were true to their word. They were here Nov 1st and the roof was completed and the last of the clean up handled on Nov 2nd. (My husband has spent his entire career in the construction industry and concurred with their construction practices.) They handled all of the details with no further effort on our part. They warranty the workmanship of the job done. That means a lot. A cheerful, hard working crew. A project manager was on site to consult and answer questions throughout the process.

We are so relieved to have all of this done before winter hits. We are very pleased with the end product and the crew of men selected to do our job. Good job guys! The roof looks great! All of the people we encountered were knowledgeable and easy to work with.

We are very happy with our new roof, gutters, soffit and fascia from Custom Craft.

We worked with Jonathan who spent time explaining all of our options and answering our questions. He made sure we were well informed on the roofing products, and how the systems worked. He explained which shingles were best for our home and provided samples for us to compare. He brought the manufactures literature and gave us time to review everything in a no pressure environment.

Paul, the roofing contracting leader, was amazing he stayed with the roofing crews, made sure that everything was done correctly.
His years of experience made me feel very confident that the job was done correctly.

There was a short delay between the roof and the fascia going onto the house and communication by the crew and Jonathan was exceptional.

The company is great. The crew did an amazing job. Paid extremely close to detail and clean up was well. The only deal I have is with the sales rep that works for the company. During install 2 gutters were bent by the workers leaning their feet against them. I get it....I am by far from perfect. Also on day of product drop off, my concrete was cracked by the garage by the crane truck. The driver immediately pointed it out to me with pictures. He said he was gonna summit it to the ins company. Anyhow I have been told multiple promises on days that they were going to come repair the gutters..still nothing. Promised 4x that the insurance company was going to call that day i was told......still nothing. Like I said I do recommend this company highly. I'm not looking to bash this company. I own my own business....and if this sales guy worked for me...it would be short lived. FOLLOW THRU IS KEY....period.

We needed to have our facia replaced on our home due to some windstorms during the course of last year and this year. I had contacted 3 other roofing companies in the Sheboygan area and none of them had the time and some didn't have the man power. I continued my search and found Custom Craft. I'll tell you what, I'm so glad I did. Peter was at our house within days of connecting and provided us a very good estimate and time frame. I think their team was out at our house in less than 2 weeks after the estimate. The work was completed that day, the team were very courteous, proficient and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this company. We reached out for a quote in mid-September and Josh with Custom Craft Roofing came out to help us. He was very professional and knowledgeable! He helped us pick out our color and style of roofing and facia. We were going to entertain multiple bids but after meeting Josh and receiving what we thought was a very reasonable quote we decided we didn't need to look any further. Expecting the job to be started in late October, we were pleasantly surprised when we received a phone call letting us know the project was moved ahead. So, bid received mid-September, project completed October 10th. (That's freakin awesome) The crew was great; you can tell they know what they're doing and are very efficient. As for clean-up, you can hardly tell they were even there. We had a great experience with this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all family and friends! I am 100% satisfied. I had a minor roof leak around a vent. I thought I would not get a responsive contractor because there was not much money to be made. Instead I got a return call within a few minutes. Josh came out to look at situation. I was so impressed we asked them to do additional work including the installation of leaf guards over our gutters. Everything turned out great.

I'm as dumb as rocks when it comes to roofing but smart enough to choose a great roofing company! Why Custom Craft? A competitive quote was close but the CC salesman showed up in person, walked my property with me, viewed my attic and offered helpful recommendations.

Supervising crew leaders were continually on site. They monitored the removal of one cedar and two layers of asphalt shingles and the installation of OSB and new shingles on the home, and a new metal roof on the garage. Custom Craft took care to cover the herb garden and shrubs on the north and south side of my home, then cleaned up the mess and used magnets to glean random nails before leaving each day.

Finally, the salesman was very accommodating to minor changes in the plan after the work began, and his recommendation of the Certainteed Landmark Pro AR shingles earned me a discount on my home owners insurance!

I was very apprehensive about replacing my roof this summer. Josh was very professional and friendly, guiding me through the process and putting my nerves at ease. The crew was efficient, conscientious of surrounding landscape, and meticulous with clean up. My laundry room light detached from the ceiling, and Josh and a service tech fixed it the following morning. I am 100% satisfied and I will definitely recommend Custom Craft Roofing.

I just stopped by my 89 year old mother's house to see her new roof. It's beautiful. She said it was done so fast and everything was cleaned up right away. She was very happy. We worked with Jonathan in the fall to estimate our job, and when accepted, they scheduled the work in the spring to avoid a winter installation. Their scheduled work date ended up being during a week when we were traveling, but they came in, did the job perfectly, and we came home to a new roof. We hardly knew they had been there as everything was cleaned up. Neighbors told us that the roof looked great, and the crew was FAST... in and out in a day and a half! During the install a broken stand pipe was discovered, but we were able to coordinate a plumber and a Custom Craft repair crew, and they reopened the roof, repaired the pipe, and patched the section perfectly, all in an hour and a half. These guys know what they are doing, and are very professional, top to bottom in the organization.

I can’t say I was looking forward to replacing our roof this summer but the team at CustomCraft made it such a seamless and easy experience. Our sales rep, Josh, took the time to sit with us, thoroughly explained the process and talked through his best recommendations with us particular to our needs. He really took care of us. Our project manager, Jeff, was always on hand during the actual installation to give us updates and the team was so efficient in their high quality work. They did such an amazing job and we are so pleased with the results!

My experience with this company was amazing. I worked with Peter who was quick throughout the whole process, from getting the estimate done (in the rain), to getting the estimate back to me, to scheduling the job, and then getting the job bumped up for me too. My project was done in half a day, no issues with the cleanup, and they even worked out getting the dumpster picked up early so I could utilize my garage/vehicles. I would definitely recommend working with this company.

Josh helped us out after we needed a full roof repair due to a bad hail storm. He was responsive and transparent from the start, got us on the schedule and just a couple weeks later completed the entire roof in a single days work. The crew worked through a hot day and Josh consistently checked in during the install. Clean-up was thorough as well. Appreciate all the help!

We had a great experience with CustomCraft for our new roof (home + garage). Josh (sales) was easy to talk to, had great recommendations and was responsive. He very quickly supplied us with the addresses of roofs they completed in our neighborhood so we could see what the shingle colors looked like in person. He brought shingle samples to our home and included his personal recommendation. We went with Josh's recommendation, and we LOVE how it turned out! I didn't know I could love a roof so much.

As for the roofing crew: they were amazing! They arrived early and started covering up our landscaping to protect it from falling debris. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen another roofing crew take this extra measure, but let me tell you -- it did not go unnoticed! (I meant to cover up our bed of 80 tulips the night before, but I forgot. So this was a wonderful surprise.) The crew got down to business and didn’t stop until their much-deserved lunch break. They finished our roof and garage and cleaned up everything before 3pm. Everyone from the crew we interacted with (including our project manager) was helpful and polite. Josh stopped at our house at the end of the day to see if we were satisfied with the work (another nice touch). I highly recommend CustomCraft to anyone needing a new roof!

Jonathan and Peter were great to deal with. Jonathan did some roof repairs on our metal roof last fall to deal with some skylight leaks. That was when I found out they were starting to do gutters. Peter the sales manager came out this spring to provide an estimate. The installation was scheduled and completed this week. The gutters were cut perfectly, and the downspouts placed right where I wanted them. They did a nice job of making sure the flashing of the metal roof was inside the back of the gutter so water doesn't drip between the fascia board and gutter. The gutter caps look pretty robust too. Highly recommended for seamless gutters!

I would definitely recommend Custom Craft. Excellent job from start to finish. When Josh came out to give us an estimate, he gave a detailed explanation of the process and materials they would use. And they did exactly what they promised! The foreman and crew were very conscientious of their quality of work and clean up, even paying close attention to the weather, avoiding any chance of rain on an open roof.

I am very happy with my rubber roof, the workers always picked up stuff end of shift the yard was always left clean and the job was finished in a timely manner.
