Custom Exteriors - Greenfield, IN

This is my third time utilizing Custom Exteriors.
I replaced additional windows and added a storm door with pet panel. I was particular about the storm door having strong hinges, as I did not want the door to push open when my large dogs used the pass-through. It is perfect!
I also appreciate the suggestion of a frosted window panel for the bathroom. "Problem solved"

Custom Exteriors just finished a four season room addition for us and they did an amazing job! From start to finish, the quality of their work was excellent as was their communication with us throughout the project. We recently had all of our windows and both front and back doors replaced by Custom Exteriors, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, every member of the team was incredibly professional. The installers especially stood out — they overcommunicated every step of the way, and we were impressed by how clean and organized everything was at the end of each day. When they discovered that the row of bricks above our front door hadn’t been properly installed (an issue we didn’t even know existed!), they fixed it — at no additional cost.

The quality of their work and their attention to detail were outstanding. We’re already planning another project with them based on how pleased we were with this one. Highly recommend!

Just had our siding, gutters, soffit, fascia and back door with screen door(spelling may be wrong) done by Custom Exteriors. From the first meeting to the completion they were professional and they cared about a job well done. They were the second estimate and more than reasonable. Siding was done in one day, soffit and fascia the next and gutters the third. They arrived when the said they would, which was a pleasant change from a few other companies. Tom or Jesse did inspections daily to catch any problems before they became big ones. There were few and they were small any quickly addressed. I would recommend Custom Exteriors to anyone.

I only have great things to say about Custom Exteriors. Kyle, my sales rep, and the crew were amazing and my new windows look beautiful. Could not recommend them more for any work that is needed!

Custom Exteriors exceeded my expectations. Prompt, courteous and they do great work. These Indiana boys know what they're doing. Replaced some trim boards for me and even cleaned up after themselves. Custom Exteriors has replaced our front door, two storm doors, installed mesh to our gutters, fixed a sagging gutter, and fixed a section of siding that had popped out. Jesse and Kyle and the everyone who has worked on our house has been so nice. I highly recommend Custom Exteriors!!!

Purchased new front door and replacement windows for a patio room. Extraordinary company to work with. From sales to install to follow up, Custom Exteriors is the only company to work with!

The estimate for a new roof was very quick and left with us - with 3 different options. There was absolutely no pressure to buy any of the three options We communicated which option we wanted, a repress came out to the house with a contract, and we made a down payment. Shortly afterwards, we were called and asked if we wanted the installation down on a date the following week. We set a date, the installers came out, ripped off the old shingles, installed the new shingles and vents, cleaned up, and were done in approximately 7 hours. They did a super job of cleaning up after themselves. The next day a representative came out, did an inspection, and asked if we had any questions. He then presented us the paperwork for the job that was done including the guarantee, and took our check to pay for completion of the work. Very professional and efficient process, and the roof looks great. I highly recommend Custom Exteriors, they do excellent work

I asked Custom Exteriors to build a tiny house and they delivered! The crew was great to work with and they paid attention to all the little details.

We replaced damaged wood shingles on the front of our home with siding. Jesse set up an appointment to come out. He arrived promptly and determined a perfect match to our existing siding. Communication, promptness, workmanship and follow up earned a 5 star rating from us.

Travis and Simon did an excellent job on my vinyl siding repair. Chris, the salesman, was great. He was honest and very helpful. The price was reasonable, as well. Thank you!

We used Custom Exteriors to replace a patio door. I was so pleased with the entire experience. They were on-time, communicative, and did a great job on the door installation. They even called me after the job to make sure I was happy with everything. They’ll be the first call we make the next time we need something done to our home!

We had Custom Exteriors replace our roof and give us new gutters several years ago and had had a great experience. When we decided to replace our front door of course we called them! They were super great again! Great communication, very reliable, professional, and courteous!! Custom Exteriors will stay at the top of our list of people to call when we need home repairs/improvements!

Custom Exteriors replaced our front door, sidelites and large half round transom window above and did an absolutely fantastic job.
I would trust CE with any project now given the great job they did with the front door which I considered to be a very intricate and difficult replacement. Everyone at Custom Exteriors has been extremely friendly and professional. They are very knowledgeable and expert craftsman. They are quick to respond to your questions and genuinely want to make sure you are happy and satisfied and will work to make sure of that.

Do not use Custom Exteriors for a siding project. I am not even sure how to put this nightmare we have experienced into words. But the quick run down is we got materials dropped off in January and told our project would be a few weeks. It is now the end of April and we are just now finished. This has been months of being told our siding is done (all pictures attached are during the first 4 walk throughs after being told the project was finished) , just do another walk around finding many issues over and over again. Examples of issues were bad caulking, areas just completely not caulked, trim boards uneven and not flush, uneven cuts, raised exposed nail heads, leaking windows (that caused damage inside that we now have to fix), scraped up panels, cracked panels and so much more. After 5+ times of bringing up our concerns, people being out to “fix it”, it still not being fixed; we had to finally ask to get their owner involved. The owner spent approximately 3 weeks out fixing all of the issues. While they eventually fixed our issues, this was many months of headache for our family and we are left with siding that we are just praying was done correctly after seeing the low standards in place for our install.
We did everything right for this project. We read all of their amazing reviews, Kyle seemed like the nicest guy, and had talked to many people in our community that have loved working with them. They were even our highest bid on the project, but we went with them because of their reputation. Unfortunately, we did not see the amazing company that people rave about. When you entrust a company with such a great reputation with an almost 60k project, you expect that work to be completed at a certain standard. But I’ll let the pictures do the talking of the standard we got. We are thankful the owner was able to make things look better in the end, but we still paid full amount for a project that has been a complete nightmare for us. I will not use their company in the future, and I warn others of what we experienced.

My experience with Custom Exteriors was nothing short of dreadful. Our sales rep Kyle came out sat at our kitchen table and gave us an estimate to completely reside our house, pre-painted James Hardi board and batten, new soffits, gutter boards and gutters. We received 3 other quotes and even though their quote was the more by $5000 we went with them because we thought we could trust them to complete high quality work with a high quality product in a timely manner. We based this off the reviews online and word of mouth from people in our community. Materials were dropped off the second week of January and work commenced. The crew that showed up to our house and noticed they didn’t drive customer exteriors trucks but wore their apparel. We later we found out that they don’t actually work for them but were sub contractors, we weren’t made aware of this till after the fact. When your trusting someone with your home you expect a modicum of transparency. I wanted Custom exteriors to work on my house not some random siding crew. After work was completed per our foreman we walked through the project and what was on our house looked like used siding installed by people who either weren’t skilled enough to complete the task or didn’t care enough to take the time to do it right. The large pre-painted panels had large sections of paint scraped off due to mishandling of materials, over 90% of the house still needed caulked in, areas above windows and doors that appeared no one knew how to use a tape measure, square or cut in a straight line. The crew came back out to fix the issues but only corrected a few things. We then walked through the project with Kyle and Tom. This is where Kyle blamed our product choice of the pre-painted Hardi as the cause of all our issues, not the fact that the installers dragged the panels off the pile damaging finished surfaces or marking up panels with pencil and not cleaning it off. I feel it’s worth noting that we paid an extra $10,000 for pre-painted so we didn’t have to paint the house. After the 4th time of guys coming out to work on our house to “fix” the issues we contacted our foreman and requested the owner to look at the house. Matt came out to look at the house and by the initial tone of the conversation it was evident that he had been told our concerns weren’t valid. After the walk through and seeing all the issues he had a different view and asked for the opportunity to make it right. I will hand it to Matt. He did come and spend a few weeks out personally working on the house to correct the issues that hadn't been resolved, but it did take FOUR separate times over 3 and a half MONTHS of crews stating the job was done to get there. Unfortunately after a few hard rains we did find that we had two windows upstairs leaking due to the first installer's. The window trim was holding water to the house and not allowing it to shed. We fortunately had opened up one wall already to fix issues from old windows, but in our freshly redone nursery the damage was done. We had to remove all the completed trim, bead board, and drywall under the window and found mold had already formed. I never asked for a discount for all this trouble or the damage caused but honestly held out hope they might as a goodwill gesture. When Kyle brought our final invoice it was for the full amount, when questioned he was surprised that we would ask for a discount…..He then went on to state that they lost money on the job due to all the extra man hours they had to put in to fix all the issues. Then went on again blaming our product choice and not the hacks your company allowed to work on my house who caused all the issues in the first place. When you trust someone with your home and a lot of money you expect it to be right the first time or at least the second…..not the 5th.

They resided our home in September of 2023. They worked with us before, during and after the project. We're very pleased with the end results. The work crew were respectful and and careful of our property. We very much recommend this company.

I love this company. The people are super nice and their work is almost perfect! I am a little biased because my brother and sister-in-law work there! LOL awesome bunch of people!

My family has used Custom Exteriors for several years, and we trust them fully to do the job well, efficently and at a reasonable price.

Our house was damaged in not one, but two different hail storms over the years, and the roof needed repair both times. Matt and his crew did quality work, and our roof is in great condition still today.

We are now in the process of selling that house and we reached out to Matt for his advice on some concerns that came up in the home inspection. We trust him fully and know we would get an honest opinion. He came out the next day, looked into the problems, and gave us the help we needed. He even referred us to another contractor to help in another area.

If you are looking for work on your home, and you want dependable, quality work done at a reasonable price and an efficient timeframe, I would wholeheartedly recommend Custom Exteriors. Matt and his staff are all friendly, hardworking dependable people who will listen to your concerns and give you longterm quality results.

I had my siding installed by Custom Exteriors, everything was great from start to finish. They were always very responsive and kept me up to date on the progress. I had a minor issue after the project was done, and they came out right away and fixed it. I highly recommend this company.

Custom Exteriors was absolutely great to work with. From our first meeting and looking at options to ordering windows and front door to installation. Kyle answered all of our questions when we were making decisions and Matt was great when scheduling installs. Everyone involved during the whole process from the office to installation had great communication. We couldn't be any happier with the product and the outstanding workmanship. We were preparing for the season's application of duct tape to our front porch windows when my wife and I started a serious discussion of our needed home improvements... of course, - long story short - saw a yard sign for Custom Exteriors down the road a ways and had a front seat for watching the progress of a brand-new roof application. I have been involved with many expert tradesmen in my life and these folks `checked all the boxes', so to speak.
Jesse came out and absorbed our requests and set about orchestrating the whirlwind about to descend upon our humble home in the wave after wave of roofing, gutters, soffits and siding. Not to mention, doors and sun-room windows. Obviously we went for the "Bundle" But seriously folks, these guys are the real-deel. They show up well equipped and ready to work... and work they do... and perfectionist they are. Who doesn't love the sounds of transistor radio and hammers? It was awesome!
I originally felt the quote was on the higher side of market rate but once I realized we were dealing with the best in the biz... it happened.
I ain't gonna lie... this was a lot of work for us. Getting the property in order to facilitate the work was my responsibility (I felt) so clearing the perimeter is something to think about... heck, they probably have a crew to help with that, I don't know... ask 'em about anything.

We have now completed the replacement of all windows and a new front door with Custom Exteriors. Jesse has been a wonderful representative and servant to us as customers. We love our PROVIA windows and front door area.

Our family decided to try Custom Exteriors to replace and upgrade doors and a sliding window going out to the patio. They also repaired our roof. We couldn't had made a better choice. A totally professional company from start to finish. All of our question answered before any work started. The price and materials where fair and the time line for work was perfect. Communications with our contactor and work crew helped setup a very positive experience. Very skill carpenters, very polite, they worked until the job was done. We were so happy with Custom Exteriors we have another contact for more improvements to our home.

Aug 1st was our fifth experience as Custom Exteriors has been remodeling our home. They are always courteous & kind when working & always considering our needs that work for all. Jessie has been a great help setting up the work to be done & helpful with the pricing, which we consider reasonable these days. I don't know all of their names but they are a GREAT crew. We had our roof replaced recently by Custom Exteriors and would highly recommend them. I was a bit nervous as we are new homeowners and have never had a roof replaced or filed a claim with our insurance but Custom Exteriors was very professional and did an excellent job explaining everything and answering our many questions.

They came and replaced rotten wood, soffits, fascia, corner trims and some siding.
The workers were efficient, the work is high quality, and they left daily with their mess cleaned up, and tools and supplies neat and orderly

The guys at Custom Exteriors put all new windows in my old home and did a fantastic job! Will definitely have them back if I need anything else in their wheelhouse done.

Custom Exteriors did some excellent work for me in 2021, so I turned to them again today for another project that requires their expertise. I have faith in them that the work will be done this time as well as it was done last year. Otherwise I would have chosen another company.

My need was only gutters, they went ahead and directly connected me to their subcontractor. Thats really nice and to me says alot of good about them.

Custom Exteriors replaced the roof on my elderly home and garage. They had to replace the shingles, decking and ventilation system. From the beginning, they were great… no high pressure, they carefully discussed options and listened to my concerns. They communicated well with me and the insurance company. The workers came to work on time. They cleaned up their mess and left me with a beautiful new roof. If you need a new roof, they deserve your consideration. Great company!

We had a homeowners claim on our room that required taking off the decking and shingles. CE had a very clean and professional crew. They always showed up on time when they said they would be here. They cleaned up well after themselves - didn’t leave cigarettes butts all of the place. Mgmt/Owner Mark made dealing with our insurance a breeze. Would definitely use again and highly recommend to others!

It was a real pleasure to work with Custom Exteriors installing my new roof. From the salesman, crew foreman, crew and clean up, it was a job well done. They treated me like family and communication was very good. Roof looks great, too!

Would highly recommend , they are fair and upfront with pricing , do yourself a favor and check with these guys before the big companies like Anderson and Pella , same or better warranty and half the cost ! Just as good or better quality also .
