Everyone at Costa is fantastic! We met with Tony several times before we hired Costa as our builder, so it all started with him. He is very knowledgeable and professional and walked us through the process smoothly. Tracey is also very knowledgeable and helped us with certain details as well. The construction process was very smooth and anytime I had questions they were answered quickly by Tony or Chris. Dave helped us toward the end and Dennis has been very helpful since we moved in. As we were evaluating builders and assessing the quality of their construction, commitment to high-quality construction materials, and inspection of homes being built we quickly realized that Costa Homebuilders stood out from the rest.

What truly separated Costa from other custom homebuilders was their commonsense approach to designing a true custom-built home. Although many of the builders offered attractive pricing, we quickly learned that the number presented was bare bones leaving us to wonder what the final cost would be. With Costa Homebuilders many items that are considered upgrades from other custom home builders are included in their well thought out Signature-Series package. It is both brilliant and affordable.

To help with the daunting task of building a new home Costa offered us the option of using one of their existing home plans and making changes or start from scratch with our own plan. I had the issue when first trying to find a builder that when you Google "Custom Home builders near me," you get companies that say and are labeled as custom on Google but are not. When I started my journey of looking for a home builder the number one thing I was looking for was to build a unique home that no one else has. Costa made that dream a reality. Upon my first meeting with Tracey and Tony, I knew they were the ones I wanted my home to be built by. They accommodated so much more than I expected from a home builder after talking with many others before them. Everyone else I spoke to always said "No we don't/can't/won’t do that you need to stay close to our blueprints we have" Costa on the other hand said, "Whatever you can think of we can do it."

They are always available to answer any questions/concerns you may have at the start of the project and throughout the whole building process. I had never gone a whole day without someone on their team getting back to me about numerous amount of questions I had from start to finish. When building a home there are things I had no idea the purpose of and having the peace of mind to be able to ask the question and get a response in a quick manner was amazing. I heard many times from my friends and family "Building a home must be a nightmare!" or "Aren't you stressed 24/7?" I, however, never once experienced that. Since the team is in constant communication everything was always handled professionally and very quickly.

Costa Homebuilders exceeded my expectations on the quality of their work. The materials used from the structure of the house to the interior were of high quality.

Jeff was willing to meet with me even though I was over five years out from building on a property I had purchased a few years earlier. I was unsure if I could afford a custom-built home, but many of the items I wanted in a house were included, while other builders considered them upgrades.

I spent easily over 1000 hours watching the entire construction process and got to see the expertise of the skilled tradesmen as they performed their crafts. They answered all of my questions and would ask me what I wanted if there were options.

All the suppliers gave me great assistance on making selections by narrowing down my choices after asking me what I was looking for. The results in the end are what I had pictured.

I had one unfinished room in the basement from when the house was built. I wanted Costa Homebuilders to finish this room so the quality matched the rest of the house. They did not disappoint and did a great job on everything.

After living in my house for two years, I am happy with the design and selections made (within my budget) with the help of the Costa Homebuilder's staff and suppliers. I would not change a thing.

Costa was the Builder for our new home construction in a specific location and community where we want to live. We lived close by as we waited for our new build to be completed. So firsthand, we got to witness the daily construction of our house until it was completed. The construction and craftmanship of the house exceeded our expectations. We're pleased that our home turned out as how we have envisioned it. We're particularly pleased with the craftmanship of the trim work. They work with expert sub-contractors and suppliers who are experienced and knowledgeable in their field. We appreciated that Costa was able to do the customizations we asked for. Costa are at a next level of quality compared to the standard builder grade “big box” developers.

Our new build process was overall very smooth. We appreciated how Costa did their utmost to accommodate on the schedule. Hiccups during or after construction were quickly addressed.

Costa is reliable because the people behind that name. We noticed the Costa team care about their craft and their name is backed by quality work. Chris and Michelle are great to work with and supported us on what we wanted in our home. Dave is our go to guy for all things related to our home. I have worked with Costa's for the past few years on the buy and sell sides of transactions and realized that they pay great attention to details and have exquisite choices in finishes of their homes. They are attentive, responsive and easy to work with.

We contracted with Costa to design and build a house from the ground up. They were great! I think they are a bit pricier out of the gate, but once you start to factor in customizations and extras, so much more is included and they are much more flexible than other builders we compared them with. Ultimately, we are very happy we chose Costa.

This was our second house we built with Costa and we couldn't be happier. They helped us find the perfect piece of property to build our dream home on. We hired Costa Home Builders to design and build our custom home. We’ve thought about building for years but really didn’t know where to begin. Building a house was not something we had ever really thought about until we found a community with a lot available. We talked to several builders and Costa definitely stood out as having a definitive process and roadmap for building which gave us a lot of comfort because we lacked real construction experience, so understanding that the materials would be high quality and durable was important. Designing your home you get to work with an architect to really figure out the layout you want and you can have multiple iterations working on the floor plan. They also had a very seamless connection to high quality vendors/suppliers and they had a core set of selections that were also high quality so you did not feel the need to “buy-up” on every decision from flooring to fixtures. We got a house that we are really enjoying with minimal if any surprises along the way. The Costa team is responsive and works hard to manage expectations throughout the process while also providing practical tips that will give the home more functionality and enhance the long term value.

Over the holiday Dave and I spent a lot of time reflecting on this year and the absolute insanity of it all… between Covid, raising toddlers, two dogs, the home build .. all of it has been wild. I was able to meet with an architect to design my home from scratch. I was able to make unique choices, many of which were already included. They were even open and accommodating to unusual requests (like putting our handprints in the driveway). Building a home comes with stress and, inevitably, minor issues but Costa worked with me through everything to my great satisfaction. Once my home was complete, they even provide an employee to follow up for a year to ensure that everything is working properly and to fix anything that may come up. When Susan and I decided to retire from our work in Northern Virginia, our goal was to reside in the Pittsburgh area and build a single story “ranch” style home. We approached Costa Builders because a close relative mentioned their name in passing.
From over 200 miles away, the process was executed. We were sent MLS numbers for lots and able to use Google Earth to narrow down our new home location. Greg Costa drove us through all types of weather because he knew we only had the weekend to search. The location we selected was off the beaten path, but Jeff Costa said, “No problem. Let’s make this work.”
We had a design plan in mind however the terrain was a bit difficult to negotiate but again Jeff said, “Let’s run this by our architect and make it work” and sure enough the small changes we made were hardly noticeable.
It is a challenge building a home from far away. There must be a great deal of faith and trust that things will be done correctly. That faith paid off for we reside in “The Susan Model,” truly the home of our dreams. The incredible detail and the quality of material far exceeded any of our expectations.

James Roman did an AMAZING job! He suggested what needed to be done on the first day we met. He helped me accomplish everything very quickly and went above and beyond before my open house. All of his hard work sold my house in 6 days!!

Not only is the Costa team full of amazing and wonderful to work with individuals, but their recommended vendors, and particularly their point persons for each vendor, are total pleasures to work with as well. We even went back to some of those vendors post-move in for smaller projects. We have been living in our Costa home for the past 7 months and the service we have received for the odd minor issue, post-move in, has also been incredible and quite speedy. All in all, it was a wonderful journey to build our dream home and we can't recommend Costa Homebuilders enough!!

They had the same goal as we did, which was to build us THE best home!
They have the expert knowledge to build on various terrains. They found that our land sloped much more than we thought once a topography map was obtained by Costa. Also, once excavation began, they found coal. Once Costa, their architect, and soil expert evaluated the site, they were able to overcome these obstacles and build our dream home.
We were impressed with the materials used,
and the excellent workmanship.
It was evident early on, that there was a strong commitment to service. We always knew they were working hard for us.
Every concern of ours was addressed and resolved. There were so many decisions to be made while building our home. Having understanding designers, like Tony, advising us helped in so many ways.
Costa never attempted to sell us more than we wanted. They understand having a budget. If we wanted an upgrade, we just asked and were provided with the options and costs promptly.
Even after the closing, Costa Homebuilders is there for us to insure that we are pleased! There is a one year warranty on the work they provided.

My wife and I first lived in a model home that Costa Homebuilders had built. We loved it so much we decided to build with Jeff and his team. We like to think we took our time and really did all our research. First, we purchased the lot and took a year or two before we built. This is an unusual step but helped us save for a better home and allowed the proper time to do our homework.

At the time we spoke with multiple builders and it was obvious that Costa Homebuilders were head and shoulders above the rest. The team makes a hard process easy from design to day they turn the keys over.

Our first meeting with Jeff started out by saying I like the floor plan your choose but we can do it better. He asked my wife and I about what we really wanted out of a house and I feel we have such a neat and unique house layout.

We tell all of our friends and family that someday they should build a house with Costa Homebuilders. Word of mouth is the best advertising and you can see from their activity that it is paying off.

This is our second home we built with Jeff. Obviously, if we didn't like our first experience we wouldn't have built a second time with him.

Was everything perfect on either home... no. But, any issue, change to the design or post issue (within the first year) was addressed and fixed. I think that's more important trait than trying to obtain perfection. We invested a lot in both homes and it's more important you can trust a builder than anything else. The homes he creates are beautiful and well constructed. So are other builders...the difference is the package and the trust between his company and you (the new home owner). Like I said before...we invested a lot in our homes and it's crucial when you build a new home and take out that mortgage that you have the utmost trust and confidence in the builder. That's where he differentiates himself and does it extremely well.

Our experience was positive, nerve wracking (building a home is a bit nerve wracking), fun, exciting and satisfying.

We will likely be tapping him again soon as we would like one more home to fit our changing needs in the near future. I guess that last statement is the best review I could give.
