Not being one who usually takes time for reviews my wife and I felt compelled to make sure we did this time.
In this day and age we seldom have an experience with companies that deliver a 100% positive experience from start to finish.
We are blown away with CRS customer service to start our project, communication was never a short comming as with so many other contracters.
Our job was started on time and finished early!
The quality of materials and labor were both above and beyond expectations.
The clean up was so good we would never know they was on the property.
Huge thanks to Jeff and crew!
You killed it!

We've been through a lot of emotional distress because of CRS Roofing's lack of integrity and accountability. While building our home, they experienced a cybersecurity breach that exposed our personal information and led to a phishing scam, costing us nearly $44,000.

Even though CRS Roofing knew about the breach since August, they didn't inform us, leaving us open to fraud. When we asked about it, the owner denied it happened, even though a digital forensics company confirmed it. This dishonesty has caused us significant financial loss and added extra stress during an already tough time.

It's been overwhelming, affecting our daily lives and relationships. Now, we're stuck in legal battles because CRS Roofing expects us to help cover the invoice and legal fees, despite their negligence. This has made it even harder to focus on building our home and maintaining a stable family life.

I truly hope no other family has to go through what we have. Businesses have a duty to protect their clients’ information and be transparent, especially when issues like this arise.

This dispute concerns the theft of our personal information from CRS Roofing Company in Washington State, which resulted in a phishing scam costing us $43,955.77.

The digital forensics company hired by Contractors Roof Service, Archer Hall, determined that a "bad actor" compromised their system through their Corporate Controller at Contractors Roof Service, Inc., in Gig Harbor, WA.

From August until now, CRS Roofing Services was aware of the breach but failed to notify us. CRS Roofing had a duty to safeguard our information, particularly given their known vulnerabilities. Their negligence directly contributed to the fraud we suffered.

Worsening the situation, despite knowledge of the breach, the owner denied it, stating, “We are in possession of the Office 365 unified audit logs for all our email accounts and can find no breach to our system.” This denial persisted even after Archer Hall confirmed the breach and identified the compromised employee.

When we proposed hiring a neutral third-party forensic company to mediate, CRS Roofing failed to cooperate or respond to our repeated requests for resolution. Instead, the owner suggested splitting the financial loss, a proposal we cannot accept, particularly after his admission of a system compromise.

CRS Roofing failed to comply with Washington State's Data Breach Notification Laws (RCW 19.255.010), which require timely notification of affected parties.

Businesses are obligated to protect sensitive customer information. Failure to secure systems, especially when aware of risks, constitutes negligence and liability for financial losses. CRS Roofing’s lack of security measures directly led to our loss.

On time every day, on budget, highest quality work, easy to work with, cleaned up every day, exceptional assistance after the job is completed. The crew of seven (typically) was manned by experienced personnel, three of whom had over 15 years of experience with Contractors Roof Services, and two of those had over 20 years with the company. The crew worked well together, moving quickly through the various stages of the project, with each man knowing what the other was doing and pitching in when needed. This greatly increased my level of confidence in their work as I observed them on a daily basis. Every piece of material used was high quality, no cutting corners. Job safety was excellent, especially since this was steep sloped roof, with no injuries in spite of a quick steady pace each day. The job included removing an unused chimney in this 109 year old house down to the just below the roof sheathing and patching it. It looks great, without a trace of the old chimney in the new roof, and the old chimney remnant was sealed to prevent drafts. CRS demonstrated the way that we as home owners wish all contractors would perform. My 5-star rating is not an inflated rating... Contractors Roof Services definitely earned it.

Jeff and Victor installed a complex roof, involving odd angles and transitions, with a combination of composite and metal roofing material, to deliver just the look we were seeking. Their crew were courteous and very professional. Not the least expensive outfit, but well worth the price.

With the recent snowfall and rain our roof started leaking at where the electricity goes through the roof and into the panel. It was scary. They were able to send a couple guys out that day. Lisa in the office was amazingly kind and got us taken care of.

I've been working with John and Garrett at CRS to solve a vexing issue at a property I purchased recently. They have consistently explained the problems and the solutions. They've consistently done precisely what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. Can anyone really ask for better service? Thanks guys! Highly recommend.

First, their ads say Free Estimate.

So I called. Told them what was going in with my roof. They wanted my credit card info up front, but said they wouldn't charge unless their was work done and I signed off. Fine.

They come out, do nothing, and send me an invoice saying my roof needs repair and a bill for $140 for just coming out.
No repair and no estimate for what a repair would cost. Just a bill for $140. What?
I call the office, they are confused, and have me call someone else to "go over the invoice" with me. We play phone tag for a few days but still no one is telling me anything. There's no one scheduling any repair. Still no estimate. No one actually takes the time to LOOK at the "invoice" they sent me. And during this time there are literal DOWNPORES of rain.

So I give up on CRS, watch my credit card for any charges... contact Port Orchard Roofing. Got an estimate in a day and repair in like 3 days.

Avoid CRS! Nothing but incompetence.

First off, I want to thank the people at CRS, they were courteous, professional, and very helpful, and even though our roof repair/inspection was " Small Time" in other companies opinion, they treated us as if it was the biggest job they ever had, once again, Thank you CRS! Garrett Day from CRS came to our home multiple times for evaluation and then the repair work. He was thorough, courteous and knowledgeable. My husband and I were very impressed by his honesty, his work ethic and the quality he (and his team-mates) provided. He and his work convinced us to sign up for CRS maintenance program! Highly recommended!

We are extremely pleased with the quality of work provided by CRS last Spring. We had an original tile roof (30 years old) which had various leaks over the past years which was damaging our inside wall and window sills. Repair work didn't solve the problems; so we met with Jeff Rankin from CRS and his information and honesty was the positive selling point on why we chose CRS. (The job was completed on 4/15/2018). Now through storms with heavy winds coming off of Henderson Bay near Purdy, we have rested peacefully through those nights. Thank you again!!!

This company lived up to its reputation of doing quality work at a reasonable price. I had them come out to repair a leaking metal roof and install new pipe flashings for my tankless water heater's vent and air intake pipes. They showed up on time and completed the job efficiently and professionally. Everyone I spoke with at CRS was polite and professional, especially the Service Manager Garrett Day. I will definitely use this company again should the need arise in the future.

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
