My roofing project went wonderfully. The expert manager - Gage Washburn- quoted the job and was on site during the job and made sure everything was done as expected. ( Price was also better than competitors for the same roofing materials. A very important component!.) Very easy and pleasant to work with. The installers were also very very professional and skilled. I highly recommend Big Lick.

The team at big lick roofing was very communicative, easy to reach, and their team did a quick and efficient job. Obviously, I’m not able to get on our roof to inspect everything that was done, but it appears that all the flashing that we contracted them to replace, has been done as needed. Gage was very helpful in answering all questions we had. He was very patient while we chose the color we wanted to go with. He sent us pictures of roofs with similar colors that we were looking at and even got onto the roof and held the samples up to our siding to help give us a better idea of what our choice(s) would look like. Gage was present during the installation of our roof and followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy with our roof.

Over all i am very pleased with the quality. Communication between customer and workers needs improvement. Very nice people to work with. One thing i wasn't happy about was the fact that when job was quoted no roof ventilation was included and it was clear that there was clearly soffit venting around perimeter of house.

They are amazing! I worked with Gage - he was very knowledgeable and provided me in-depth information along with quotes on both asphalt and metal roofing. Their prices were surprisingly affordable, had great warranties, and even came with financing/payment plans. Amanda was pleasant, always a call away, and there to provide assistance when needed. I was told it would take up to 4 weeks for the team to get out to me, and got my roof within a week of signing the contract. Not only did the project start ahead of schedule, they were able to provide me with a new roof in roughly 5 hours with a five-man team. Absolutely amazing! I love my new roof. Didn’t do my roof personally but they replaced my man’s mom’s roof in Rocky Mount, VA and since she doesn’t do all this tech savvy stuff, she agreed that I should do a review! He and his crew arrived in a timely manner, they had the house and yard protected from any debris during all phases of the old roof coming off and new roof going on. Dakota and Big Lick Roofing came highly recommended and we quickly found out why. Our roof was replaced under an insurance claim and Dakota quickly inspected the roof and explained what was missing on the insurance claim that needed to be done. We had lots of wood rot due to years of a leaky section. The insurance was trying to ignore this and also not replace a section of the roof that had to be removed. Dakota and his team went to bat for us and despite the insurance group saying it would never be approved, Big Lick Roofing proved correct in their assessment. The replaced roof looks great, the wood was properly replaced, and we couldn't be more satisfied. Without their help, we would have either paid a lot more out of pocket or gotten less than quality work. I will use Big Lick Roofing for all of my roof related projects in the future and highly recommend you do as well.

I bought a home and had an emergency with home insurance that required my roof get done quickly, the promised it be done within about a month and a half but got me booked for only a few weeks later. I also had an active leak before they could get the roof done so they came out and put up some temporary tarps to ensure we wouldn't take on any more water damage, free of charge. They got everything delivered the day prior and got all the work done in a single day. I always had a contact to reach out to for questions or concerns, they had a few options for price and quality to make sure we got something that would work for us. I was worried that they were going to end up "needing to replace" a bunch of decking and up charging me for it, but that never happened. The job ended at exactly what I was quoted, faster than I expected, and it looks great. I would recommend to anyone.
Also the customer dashboard that they have is pretty convenient and easy to use as well.

Fantastic group to work with on our roof replacement. Dakota worked with is on our time-line and ensured the insurance company had correctly assessed the repairs needed. We were considering going with a metal roof but after seeing the GAF UHDZ shingles and how well they are made, and the feel of the materials, we chose GAF. WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Our roof looks 1 million times better than before. We had architectural shingles, but these UHDZ shingles give our home a high end custom look and I bet it has added value beyond just a new roof.

These guys were great from first to last. Very polite and friendly. The quality of the roof is wonderful. They also fixed some hidden problems we were unaware of. Yes, they were higher than other quotes we got but the materials they use far exceed the others. We plan on passing our home on to our children and we want them to have something that will last.

I knew I needed to do something about my roof, but I only realized how many issues I had once Dakota got up there and showed me. He took the time to explain and showed me the problems. Very frustrating because my roof was replaced in 2009 by a company that went out of business. Dakota gave me options to consider as I was concerned about cost. After reviewing my options we agreed on the right fit for me. THey finished in 1.5 days and cleaned up all of their mess. Unlike the last company. Everyone was very polite and I am happy.
