Commonwealth improperly installed a drip edge on my new roof in 2020 which allowed rain to slowly leak into the walls of my home. Until exterior evidence of the ongoing leaks showed up by way of a single rotted exterior trim piece almost 4 years later, I didn’t know that the studs within the walls were slowly becoming saturated and softening into literal wood pulp. When I noticed the rotted trim piece and my contractor pulled off a piece of siding, the wood was crumbling and the insulation was saturated. I was amazed that I had not seen signs of moisture and mold on the interior of the house yet.

According to three new assessments from two roofers and a general contractor I’ve received since discovering the problem, this should have been an obvious situation to the installer.
Now almost 4 years later, the latent defect has caused thousands of dollars in damage within the walls in several areas. I reached out to Commonwealth who told me over the phone they would come assess it for $150. I agreed and made the appointment but was stood up by Berto. I called Commonwealth again and the owner, Jesus (Jessie) Ramirez apologized and said he’d be out the same day. Jessie did come out with his crew and started by blaming low gutters, then just kept saying “the fascia is rotted” as if this was the cause and not the result. My contractor was on site and able to counter his excuses and he finally ended the visit by stating that he would have his gutter guy and team lead out within a few days to assess how to fix it and he’d then “review the numbers to see if he could make it right”. He then stopped responding to me and did not make any more effort to come back out.

What an amazing experience I've had with Norberto and DJ . The customer service and attention detail they provided saved me thousands potentially. From the phone call to set the appointment, to him leaving my house nothing but top notch . Easily one of the best companies in the business.

I can't say enough good things about Commonwealth Roofing! My sales rep, Yvette, is very knowledgeable and explained the process thoroughly. She helped me pick out the perfect shingle shade and the roof turned out beautiful! There was a small hiccup with the interior work, and Jessie, the owner, came out personally and made sure it was completed to my satisfaction. I mean, who does that?!? From end to end, the Commonwealth team managed the entire project professionally and expertly, but never forgetting to keep me informed and updated during the entire project. Special kudos to Shanna, who was always ready with answers and guidance, and especially as liaison with my insurance company. The installation was completed on time and schedule, the crew was expert and professional, keeping the job well organized and neat, and the cleanup was exceptional. Kudos to Norberto as the project manager, My new roof looks great and the results really brought a new life to an aging house. I would recommend Commonwealth Roofing without hesitation. Norberto and Gabriel and their crew were fantastic! Great customer service, no loud music, great workmanship, great cleanup. Doug did a fine job of getting the estimate, contract, and coordination with the insurance company and is going to do a great job for Commonwealth in Ocala. Masha from the office went out of here way when COVID disruptions messed up the permitting process with the county. She came from Jacksonville, got our signatures and hand carried the third submittal (first two apparently lost) to the Nassau County building department. It went so smoothly almost wish I did not get the 50 year roof, it feels nice to just have good complete service these days

They were outstanding in getting the job done. One day and it was finished. The workers were very knowledgeable about the work being done and worked very profestionaly. They fixed all the problems and repaired bad wood and holes in the roof. The owner worked with me and got just what I wanted. Outstanding job. I can't say enough about how great they are!!!! Marena was outstanding and getting everything done, going over everything so we would know just what's going on. call back at the end of the job to make sure everything was good!!! She is a very hard worker. And very pleasant to work with. Good job!!!!!!

CAME TO MY HOUSE FOR A "FREE ROOF INSPECTION" TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW ROOF BECAUSE OF HURRICANE DAMAGE AND THEY WOULD WORK WITH THE INS CO. I GAVE THEM ALL THE INS INFO AND ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS LEGIT. FILED A CLAIM WITH MY INS CO. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM.

The company is wonderful to work with & our project manager, Steven, is top notch but what really impressed me was their roofers! I don’t know if they are independent of the company, but they are a great team and extremely professional, neat & courteous. They not only pay attention to every detail of the roof project they’re working on, but also to the residents and neighbors. They went above and beyond making sure I had a clear path to walk my dog during the day, they parked in a way that ensured my neighbors were not impacted while they worked on our narrow street. It was such a different experience from a previous roofing experience and I couldn’t be happier with the process and the results!

I am impressed with this company! I am reviewing on behalf of my grandparents who’s house and roof were the focus. Ms Shanna is a member of the company whom we have been communicating with. The roofing was to be replaced with the shingle style that my grandparents already had: 3-tab shingles. However, the company and Ms Shanna were able to upgrade my grandparents to the shingle style they wanted with no extra charge. We all want to say thank you, and we love the architectural shingles!
