Quality service and communication! They came out and carefully listened to my needs for a my custom-built deck. They were clear about what was possible, the pricing, and delivery timeframe. I compared them with a couple other lead railing companies in the Richmond area, and they came in at or below the competition but with much better response and service. The fit was perfect, and I couldn't be happier!

We love our front steps with the new railings and brick work. Missy in the Office was exceptional to work with. Jacob did a great job on the powder coating. We are happy with the work and highly recommend them for your job.

The office and installer are responsive/pleasant, pricing good, delivery fast. But railing itself was different than the photos I was shown of what would be installed. Also, the railing flexes a fair amount, so with the angle of the top rail (instead a straight run of rail, this is bent at a sharp angle that I was not expecting/didn’t want, but the physics of that not clear until after install) it doesn’t feel sturdy. Disappointed. You may have better luck with different style, location.

This business did a great job at a fair price. I am building a stone wall in front of my house and needed to remove the existing hand rails from the ground around the steps to make room for the wall. I'm doing the stone work myself but needed someone to reinstall the rails in the 90 year old brick steps. These folks were willing to use my old rails since they were in good condition which was nice. They sand blasted, painted, and installed them without damaging the old brick and mortar. I am very satisfied the whole job from the promptness of the estimate to the execution of the work. I highly recommend this business.

Missy, Nathan, and the crew were fantastic! We had a tree come down and take out the corner of our porch roof in June this year, including one section of railing. I was concerned because I didn't think anyone would be able to match a brand new section of railing with the rest of our 20 year old railings: Especially the mounting brackets and the top rail. I called Missy on Friday and Nathan came out on Monday. He took the damaged section of railing with him. When the crew brought the new railing I was very, very happy. They cut the mounting brackets off my original railing and installed them on the new one = automatic perfect match! They were even able to perfectly match the top rail! I am extremely pleased with the result, and the entire crew at Commonwealth Railing. Rick

I couldn’t be happier with my aluminum railing from Commonwealth Railing. It was the much needed update to our inside railing. It is well made and looks beautiful. Melissa and all of the installation staff at Commonwealth were also wonderful. They were all so very friendly and professional. Their top priority was to make sure we were happy with the end result. And we are extremely happy!

I'm a renter and my landlord had these guys come by to replace our railings yesterday. The quality of work was good, and the team was very polite. They waited to come in until after my wife's job interview, and swept up after themselves when they left.

I am so pleased with my new railings. The white rails enhance and compliment my white shutters and other trim on my house. From the estimate to the installation everything was handled in a professional manner and Nathan and his crew were prompt and efficient in installation in a timely manner. If I could give this company zero Stars I would. Nathan who claimed to be the owner was the most rudest human being who has ever stepped on my property.
He was very upset when he called and wanted to arrive 45 minutes earlier than the allotted appointment time. When he got here it was obvious the job was too complex for him involving curved railings and three different locations. He argued with me and told me things could not be done the way another company had previously given me the information that could be accomplished. His attitude was less than professional and I ran him off telling him I did not need that disrespect on my property and for him to please go elsewhere to another job there was not as complicated and seriously over his expertise. The job has been completed and is absolutely gorgeous by one of his competitors. That company I will not advertise but they did a beautiful job.
I have seriously thought of sending him the pictures of what he said could not be done but I feel I will not stoop to his level. Someone else from this company should try to sell their jobs cuz this guy has an attitude problem to say the least.

While installing they came across some challenges and made a trip to the hardware store to come back and fix the issues to install the railings. I really appreciated that. Railings look great!! My neighbors used Commonwealth Railings and did a wonderful job. When I decided to do my railings, I got several estimates. Commonwealth returned my call very quickly, scheduled the estimate, arrived on time, were professional and by far the most reasonably priced. Turn around time to fabricate the railings was only 3 weeks. Installation was done meticulously. I highly recommend Commonwealth Railings.

The Heath family are true craftsman at the craft of making and installing railing, whether your house is 6000sq ft and needing something fully custom or if you just need small sections of railing replaced. Melissa is super sharp in the office and the guys are total experts in the field, don’t make the mistake of leaving this company out of your options for custom railing for commercial or residential.

You need new railings? You can probably save some time about quotes and get these guys to make your home look beautiful. I walk by my window and I still stop to look at the job they did.

Commonwealth Railing & Rails fabricated and installed new aluminum wood-like railings for a small porch located on the back of our home. The railings are well made and look great. Mike (sales) and Nathan (installation) were easy and great to work with; and were much less expensive than their competitors. I contacted two other railing fabricators in the Richmond area that were $500 and $750 more! Great people, great products, great price.

Commonwealth Railing came out and installed new railings on our front porch. They showed up as promised and did an awesome job. It really updated the curb appeal of my home. I wouldn't hesitate hiring them again.
