We had a roof top ventilation fan go down and had a new one installed. But the installer didn't do the electrical connection. I called Coates Electrical Service and a very professional and friendly man showed up the next morning, when he said he would and made the connection to the new fan motor. The price was very reasonable!
I would recommend this company to everyone that needs electrical work done in their home.

James and his partner Jo arrived on schedule and worked hard all day to upgrade my breaker panel to a 200 amp capacity system to accommodate my new Generac generator. They answered my questions about the new equipment and were very professional during the project. They cleaned up the work site upon completion and they valued my business.

I called Coates to have them help with a circuit breaker that kept tripping frequently. They sent a technician on short notice and got the issue resolved quickly. The technician, Joel, was professional and helpful. He explained what the issue was and did a great job!

We had a breaker go out today, and it wouldn't let us cut it back on. Controlled all lights and outlets in our family room. James came out and fixed it for us, even though it was after his work day should have ended. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and had the lights back on quickly. Technicians James and Jodiah came over to repair my electrical wire that had gotten ripped from the house when a tree fell. They examined the situation and between them giving me a quote and the completion of the work was a couple of hours. Very professional and the work looked very nice. Even the AEP workers complimented how nice of a job they did.

Wonderful customer service. professional all the way around, even to clening up any mess made. They even came out to do the generator install a day early because I lost power. Will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

James Coates and his staff, Joel & Jodiah did great work for us. I contacted James on a Monday to schedule an estimate of work to be done. He came within two hours. He and his men came back that same week on a Friday to do the job of adding receptacles, outdoor lights on all four corners of our house and wire lights and a breaker panel for our storage shed to run a generator. They did all of this in one day and we couldn't be happier with there work!

I had Coates Electrical do a fairly small job, hooking up wiring to my electrical panel for a future portable generator. They gave me several options, and though I chose the cheapest option, they respected my decision and scheduled me in as soon as the part arrived. Joel and Joe did a great job, were very couteous and professional, and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

After a power lost during a winter storm, we had a power surge and subsequent "lost neutral" on the power company transformer. Joel came out within 24 hours and correctly diagnosed the problem, then came out again (with Joe) the following week for a full wiring inspection. Both were professional, thorough and fully transparent about everything they did to resolve our issue. I recommend Coates without hesitation.

Not only have they upgraded our 100-amp panel to 200-amp service, but they also moved the meter box to a new wall, helped change the overhead hook-up to underground, and added a generator transfer switch for us. James Coates is extremely professional, responsive, and helpful, and his crew is very knowledgeable. I’ve been working on light switches in my new house and I got to a spot where I needed a professional. I called Coates based on Google reviews. I called on a Friday evening and they set an appointment for Monday at noon. Leon arrived a few minutes early and was very pleasant and professional. He explained the issue and how best to fix it if I run into a similar situation. I recommend Coates and will call them again if I ever need an electrician.

Joe & Leon did an excellent job of installing conduit, deck lights and interior fixtures. The project was not very big but it was made up of a lot of small jobs that needed the special care and attention that the pros of Coates provided. Definitely 5 stars and will use them again

We needed a outside breaker box,our power kept flipping off the wires looked burnt,Coates Electrical service came right out asap,very nice respectful, very very affordable price quoted ,We are a family of 5 ,Coates Electrical has financing and i was approved for financing which is a blessing because this is actually helping my credit ...He did everything calling an inspector, having it inspected,handled the power company he came and replaced the box,we were displaced bc it was labor day weekend and it couldn't be inspected that day due to the holiday, and we couldn't stay home.This wonderful company Coates Electrical gave me the money for the hotel,i cant praise the company and the gentleman for everything and all that he has done again Coates Electrical is the place to go!!!
