The owner is a very nice guy. Clarkson replaced a large roof for me in 2020. The roof held strong during Hurricane Ida with no issues.

Several years ago I hired this Clarkson Construction LLC to do some general construction on my home and replace the roof. While the work was done, and the crews friendly, the owner is not so dependable. He never showed up on time, if at all, for our appointments, and always had excuses.

Another time I had him come over to give me an estimate on repairing a front window. He did show up on a Thursday, and said he would have a price for me on Saturday. Six weeks later I got an email with an estimate attached. By that time I had already had the work done.

Recently, we had a hurricane come through River Ridge and it did some minor damage to the ridge vent and siding of the house. My brother, who is living in my house now, called Mr. Clarkson many times, and each time he told when he would come out, and then never show up. This happened not once, not twice, not three times, but at least four times. most times he didn't call back, and when he did, he still didn't show up.

This is not a one-off. He did the same thing to me when I hired him the first time. This is baked into his cake.

I will no longer even attempt to do business with Clarkson Construction, and I would advise anyone who is contemplating such, to find someone reliable.

I first contacted Clarkson Construction regarding a leaking scupper on my flat roof. Dave quoted me about half the price of two other guys, so I thought I'd give them a shot. They did a phenomenal job and even came back twice when I wanted a few extra things added at no addition charge. No leaks since. I then called them again for some leaks I had in the flat roof (separate from the scupper area). Dave gave me estimates for patching the roof, doing a new roof, or putting a pitched roof over it. I went with a replacement because they offered me a 10 year warranty. I am out of town on business a lot and Dave was very communicative with me until we could squeeze in some days to do the work. It only took about two days, no hassles, I didn't even know they were there. Everything was cleaned up in the end and the roof looks great. I would recommend them for all your roofing needs.
