I’ve had a mold problem for over 5 years in my home in Slidell, LA and I called countless contractors, none of them could provide a solution. I have a big home over 5,000 sq. feet with ceilings 32 feet high and the top of the cathedral ceiling was showing a lot of mold growth. I wanted to keep on trying and I saw Sunlight Contractors had great reviews, so I decided to call them.

Clayton first came out and did a thorough inspection and he talked with the owner Ira of Sunlight Contractors about my home. They discovered that the previous spray foam contractor only sprayed 1”-3” and there were countless breaks. They left the old Batt and cellulose on the ceiling/floors and the air flow/ventilation was horrible causing high humidity in the 70”s in three of my attics. No contractor over the years has ever pointed this out. Also, the cathedral ceiling 32 feet high in my home was allowing all the hot air from the sun to penetrate and mix with my inside a/c, cold air creating a lot of mold in my home. Sunlight also sprayed my metal roof with silicone and now it’s cool to the touch. They added two whole house 130 pint a day dehumidification system with Reme-Halo’s attached to them.

All I can say is thank goodness I found Sunlight Contractors. Their teams worked tirelessly for 6 days straight, they cleaned up each day and were a pleasure to work with. I only wish I called Sunlight 5 years ago. Thanks Sunlight.

I had Sunlight Contractors give me a quote for spray foam insulation beneath my subfloor. At the time Clayton, who has been very professional throughout the entire process, took moisture readings in the low 20s. Clayton and the owner Mr Ira informed me that I was going to have to dry the moisture down to about 8%. Mr Ira was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Last week I decided to get the work done and the moisture reading was now in the 40s and 50s. Mr Ira got his crew working to take care of it and I am extremely happy with the entire process so far. The subfloors are drying as I am typing. Will provide updates once everything is done. Highly recommend.

After hurricane Ida the first floor of our home was in ruins. The water damage led to mold overtaking everything. Sunlight has done an incredible job restoring our home. With the insulation, sub flooring, drywall, and kitchen removal this was no small job. The organization and speed in which they were able to completely have our home put back together was amazing. Sunlight Contractors did an amazing job helping me put my house back together from hurricane Ida damage. They have been extremely helpful and amazingly patient helping me deal with financial hurdles and extremely frustrating process of the insurance companies. Mr. Ira has helped me every step of the way. I can't say how lucky I am that I called Sunlight Contractors. The work speaks for itself but the customer service was above and beyond. I contacted Sunlight on Thursday (4/28) and spoke to the owner of the company, Ira. I explained to Ira the work I needed done to my house and he goes into great detail about the things his company could do to handle my needs and ensured me that his company does everything the right way. I am immediately impressed with Ira's knowledge of the industry and he tells me that he will send someone out on Friday (4/29). His secretary calls me Friday morning and advises me that a technician from the company will be there between 9:30am and 10:30am.

At exactly 10:30am, the technician, Clayton, arrives at my house. Clayton is professional, friendly and ready to get under my house to
evaluate my actual needs. Clayton takes moisture readings in my subfloor and the floor joist and he examines the general area under my house. When he comes out, he says, "you are a lucky man". All the moisture readings are at 15% and he said that as long the readings were under 18%, it was a lot less expensive because they would not have to use this forced air heater they have to dry out the floors. He said that
Ira had made a long list of things that would probably need to be addressed in my crawl space, but that was not the case and with the work that was recently done under my house, it was in real good shape and the contractor knew what he was doing. Clayton stated that he would submit his findings along with some pictures to his office and I would get a detailed estimate by email that afternoon. I felt really good
about my conversation with Clayton and the work he said the company could do.

So I waited all day Friday and I never received an email from the company. Since the company advertised as being open on Saturday, I
waited till the afternoon and called again. Ira answered the phone again and stated that he was currently on a job site, but would go
back to the office when he is finished and send me the estimate. I never received anything the rest of the weekend. I waited until Monday
afternoon and after still not receiving the estimate, I called the company again. Ira answered the phone again and stated that Clayton was
suppose to have called him that morning and that they were going to put me on a 3 way call. He stated to hold on and he would get him on
the line. Clayton got on the line and Ira asked Clayton what the moisture readings were in my floor. Clayton told him 15.8 %. Ira said
he would still use the heater to dry the floor out to 6 or 7% if I plan on staying there or if you plan on selling, just spray it. I would always do the correct thing and would never pass on my problems to someone else, but Clayton had told me as long as I was under 18%, I was OK. Clayton did not speak much during the phone call and Ira threw out a lot of numbers and told me the whole project would be $15,000 to $18,000 including $4,200 for the heater. I asked Ira again to send me a detailed estimate so that I could look over it and speak to my wife about it.

I did not here anything back from Ira on Tuesday so, around 5pm, I sent him a text and asked if he had a chance to put together an
estimate and he said he would definitely have it to me before 10am on Wednesday. Well guess what, I still did not get it Wednesday or
as of the posting of this review either (Saturday 5/07). I am so disappointed because I felt like I had found a really dependable contractor for the work I needed done and they had really good reviews. Maybe the job was not big enough for them and they were just putting me off, but I was planning on getting them to put a roof on my house too if this project worked out. Would have appreciated them telling me they were not interested in the beginning instead of wasting a weeks worth of my time. Gave 2 stars because I learned a few things and because the professional interaction I had with Clayton.

Update (05/08) - Thank you Ira for the response! Received a call today from the office, on a Sunday and Mother's Day, and there was a mix up on the translation of my email. I have the quote and will be considering their offer.

Building a new home and chose Sunlight for blown in fiberglass in the walls and foam in the rafters. They finished the walls and will be doing the rafters in a couple of weeks, extremely pleased so far and looking forward to the foam phase. He managed to fit me in so I could move straight to drywall with no delays. Would recommend them to anyone needing any type of insulation.

As a contractor and having background in architecture and mitigation, I was onsite with a friend to translate any confusion and to make sure my friend was using an honest guy. I met Ira personally and he is as honest as the day. We ended up having a lot in common. We both got into construction our passion is to help people by giving them quality work.

Sunlight Contractors removed 60 + years of old insulation from my attic and sprayed in new cellulose. Ira (company manager) was very helpful in determining what was needed to obtain the results I wished for. All of the insulation crew (especially Clayton & Allen) were very professional and courteous and left the job site clean when the project was completed. Even the office personnel that I encountered over the phone were very pleasant. Although we haven't experienced full blown summer temps. yet, I have noticed that the AC is not coming on as frequently as in the past. Sunlight Contractors removed fiberglass insulation from my crawl space and installed foam insulation. Crews were friendly, prompt and professional. Job was completed as promised and work site cleaned. Will call again for insulation of our attic.

Very happy with the professional responsiveness shown by the New Orleans team. They were very helpful in helping me meet the timely requirements of my home inspection period during the purchase of a home in the area.

Several months ago we contacted Sunlight to get an estimate to apply open cell spray foam in our attic space. They quickly responded to the inquiry and setup an appointment to come out to provide the estimate. The estimate was fair, and the work was performed within a couple of weeks. Everyone we dealt with was professional and considerate. Since the foam has been in place, we've noticed a significant savings on our energy bill, and the house stays much cooler during the day. Overall we are very satisfied with the results. After the job was complete, there were just a couple of small items we were concerned about, and Sunlight was still very responsive to our calls. It's been our experience that some companies are a little less interested in any issues you may have after they have collected their fee. This was not the case with Sunlight. They came back to follow up several times just to make sure that our concerns were addressed. Based on our experience, it seems obvious that they try to ensure that their work is performed to the customers' satisfaction. We would definitely recommend them to others and consider them for future projects!

We had a dishwasher leak that uncovered moisture issues in the subfloor of our raised home. After looking at various companies we contacted Sunlight Contractors. We found them through the BBB and read most of their positive reviews. We researched on their website and found several customers that were having issues similar to ours. We felt like this was the company that would best help with the situation we were in. We first spoke to Ira who gave us some steps to take to see if the issue was coming from under our house. After taking multiple moisture readings (with the guidance of Ira) we discovered that we in fact had the incorrect type of insulation under our house and that we did in fact have high levels of moisture in our subfloors. After relaying these moisture readings to Ira we discussed the process and pricing estimates. Two days later a crew was at our house to begin inspecting the job. The crew uncovered other serious issues with our home that we would have never known about had we not contacted Sunlight. They made sure they took pictures of these issues and even had my husband go under the house with them so that he could see these issues firsthand. This hardworking crew has been under our house in the extreme LA heat for several days now working on these issues. They clean up after themselves each day and are very courteous. They have answered all of our many questions regarding these issues at our home. Ira has been great about relaying information to us daily on what has been done and what will come next. Even though the job is far from completed, we are beyond pleased with this company on what they have done so far.

Having bought a house in Uptown New Orleans, we needed to make quite a few changes to make it 'ours'. After doing our research, we chose

Sunlight Contractors does amazing work. I witnessed the results of Sunlight Contractors fixing the shoddy work of an irresponsible, negligent contractor that caused thousands of dollars in damage. I have come to learn that it is very important to remove moisture from the subfloor of a home before insulating it with spray foam. Several years back, the floors of this home were insulated with a high moisture content, eventually causing mold, rot, and the floor to buckle. After being contacted, Ira from Sunlight Contractors was very knowledgeable and immediately knew what to do to solve the problem for good. The job took three weeks, but Clayton, Ira, and the crew were on time for the duration and explained the process every step of the way. They treated the job like it was their priority and did not leave or prolong the process by taking on other jobs. The crew was required to remove spray foam installed by the previous company, remove and replace rotted flooring, and remove all mold and moisture from the flooring before applying closed cell spray foam. Unlike the previous company, Sunlight Contractors not only removed moisture from the wood, but also guaranteed in writing that there would be no future moisture issues. Do not trust just any company. Make sure you go with experts, who know what they are doing and stand behind their work, in writing.

In 2014 (6 years ago), Sunlight did spray foam insulation both in the attic and under the house of my raised 1900 shotgun. Living in south Louisiana without proper insulation is miserable. Our 2nd story where our daughters sleep had a dedicated AC unit that would never keep up with the heat. Our house was built in 1919, and, while having undergone several renovations in 101 years, the wood floors have remained unchanged. As the temperature warmed, I noticed more movement and cracking in several of the antique floorboards. When I looked under the house, it was painfully apparent that the existing insulation was deteriorating, covered with mold, and practically wet to the touch. The attic insulation was also sub-par. The fans that were supposed to keep air circulating beneath the roof have long been out of commission.

I knew I needed to invest in replacing the crawl space and attic insulation, and I had heard that spray-foam was currently the best product in the industry. Unfortunately, getting someone to spray-foam over the existing conditions was not a viable solution. In those same three days, they removed all of the crawl space insulation, treated the mold, and began the floor-drying process. The moisture of the floorboards and joists was initially around 35%. After two days of moving the heater-ducts around, it's now at 14%. Once the floors fall below 10% moisture, Ira will release the spray foam crew. All-in-all, the project duration is tracking around six days total! I'm thrilled with the quality of workmanship thus far and will follow up with my review regarding the overall improvement made to the house.

Sunlight Contractors is working in my home right now . We are doing a remodeling job throughout the entire home including all the floors throughout the home. Bathroom tiles will be demoed, bedroom floors ripped up and Sunlight Contractors is going to install brand new hardwood floors. Sunlight is also installing a whole house dehumidification system to improve our air quality. The open cell spray foam along with the whole house dehumidification system will decrease the humidity in our home and not only make our house comfortable but make our home energy efficient and reduce our energy bills. What I have experienced from sunlight already in our renovation project has been phenomenal. Sunlight has spray foamed our attic in the main house and guest house and we can feel the difference. Sunlight Contractors specializes in many facets of construction but when I was looking for a fireproofing contractor I could not have gone with a better company. I have 2 buildings in the New Orleans area, and I decided to sell one of them. I soon discovered that I could not sell just one of my properties because the buildings were to close together. I needed to fireproof in between the buildings with a 2-hour fire rating. The city needed to deem my buildings acceptable properties to be divided once it was cleared by the local New Orleans fire marshal.
Sunlight Contractors did an impeccable job on fireproofing with CAFCO Blaze shield 2. The now separated buildings look great and was done with a ton of professionalism. This company had great communication skills all the way from the owner of the company down to the crew members. Sunlight Contractors successfully and diligently completed the project in a timely manner. Ira answered all of my questions and when it came time for the fire marshal to come, we passed with flying colors. The fire marshal only had to come by one time to approve the work that was done and gave me his seal of approval so I can sell one of my buildings. I was highly impressed with Sunlight Contractors and the workmanship they provided me with the 2 week long job.

The whole experience of working with this company was a pleasure from the start. The technician who gave me an initial consultation was extremely knowledgeable and helped me wade through the pros and cons of different insulating materials. I ended up going with spray foam because of the price and overall effectiveness. When I was ready to schedule the insulation, Ira, the owner called me back the same day to schedule me so everything could progress smoothly in the process of renovating my home. His team took the time it was necessary to make sure the job was done right and cleaned up after themselves. It wasn't easy, some of the rooms only had partial walls, other's had drywall but required multiple cut outs to blow in the insulation because of the fire breaks. I can already hear and feel the difference. The insulation has created a sound barrier that makes me feel like I can be alone with my thoughts. Been a great experience thus far with Sunlight. My consultation and outlined plan by both the onsite crew and Ira were very helpful in deciding to go with Sunlight contractors. Sunlight did 2 open cell foam in houses for a friend so I visited one and the quality appeared to be very good. He was very pleased with the entire process so I contacted them when it was time to do my own house. Fast response, good price, lots of communication.

My husband and I recently purchased a raised home. During the winter we experienced cold floors and high energy bills due to the subfloor not being insulated. We did research and learned spray foam would be the most effective insulation solution. Because it was a big project, we requested quotes from several companies. Sunlight Contractors was way better than any other company we talked to for several reasons. Ira, on the first phone call was very helpful and knowledgeable. Clayton came out and inspected our subfloor the very next day. He discovered very high and problematic moisture levels in our subfloor. I knew this was a serious issue because the previous owners disclosed they had mold removed prior to selling the home. Clayton and Ira explained the process Sunlight Contractors would use to eliminate the moisture, insulate the home, and guarantee we would never have a moisture problem again. For years, our termite contractor warned us about all of the old insulation in our crawl space that had been drooping and touching the ground. In crawling under the house myself to inspect and make a plumbing repair, I noticed that the wood on the subfloor and joists just looked wet. I could never find anyone willing to climb under the house to clean it up, so it sat like that for years. This year, I had to decide on a new termite contractor, but they refused to work with us until it was cleaned up. I hear so much about spray foam, so I decided to look it up. Sunlight Contractors had great reviews, so I decided to give them a call. Ira answered the call on a Saturday, and was eager for me to take moisture readings, so he could get an idea of the scope of the work. Unfortunately, the wood showed 23% moisture in some areas, with some visible mold growth, so it needed to be dried and cleaned before being sprayed. Ira sent Clayton out at my earliest convenience, and quoted me the same day. After a few discussions about treating the wood, I approved the work, and again, Clayton was out to get started the very next day. The crew came out, cleared all of the debris, laid a new moisture barrier and started the drying and remediation process. Ira communicated with me every day, even sending videos, photos, and moisture readings, which are now under 10%. They were never late, and never cancelled. After having a full winter of cold floors and high energy bills in my newly purchased house I decided enough was enough and to get spray foam insulation. I contacted several companies for quotes. I contacted Sunlight Contractors for a quote to remove fiberglass batt insulation and apply closed cell foam to the subfloor of my home. My initial contact began with Mr. Ira. His knowledge base was evident as he politely addressed all of my questions and concerns. The company exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I received the quote on Friday and was scheduled on Monday for removal of the batt insulation. The spray foam installation was completed on Tuesday. The Sunlight crew was knowledgeable and the only company who measured the moisture content of the wood during the initial visit. My experience with Sunlight Contractors was beyond superb and excellent! I did not want to have anyone else deal with the mold and foam insulation. Mr. Ira is very knowledgeable and was so helpful with explaining the cost/quote. He also had great insight and advice on choosing floors in which we needed to replace. Initially I had another company to inspect and quote me for the mold treatment. That company told us that they would have to rip up our floors all the way down into our crawlspace beneath the house. I wanted a second opinion because it seemed to be extensive and expensive. Sunlight Contractors came the next day and did a full inspection: the guest room that was damaged, the crawlspace under the house. They were able to save my floors and kill all of the mold. Their staff Allen is so joyful, helpful, professional and always willing to answer my questions no matter how silly I thought it was. They made this process so much easier for my husband and I. I will always call them for any contracting or mold/spray foam installation or treatment!

Mr. Ira and his team was a pleasure to work with. We had project on a older home where moisture was coming up through the floors and making the cup up. They got under the house and sandblasted the old insulation off, dried the floors down to under 10% moisture & then sprayed the floors with closed cell insulation. I contacted Sunlight Contractors after I moved to SE Louisiana in May of 2019. The house we bought had an uninsulated crawl space, no vapor barrier and limited ventilation. We replaced 40 floor joists as well as large portions of the subfloor. I wanted those repairs to last which led me to spray foam and Sunlight Contractors.

I contacted several other companies who do this work but chose Sunlight for several reasons. First, they are incredibly responsive. They actually answer the phone when you call and they call back when needed. It has been frustrating dealing with other contractors who don’t answer when called and don’t return messages. Secondly, they actually have a schedule and will work with you to meet at an agreeable time. I had scheduled an evaluation with them and the evening before we were supposed to meet they called and asked if we could push the appointment back a couple of hours. It worked for me and I appreciated the call in advance. Lastly, service is clearly a priority with them. Every person I have dealt with during the process has been polite and respectful. They go out of their way to educate customers about the process and the product received. The project is not quite finished but to this point I am quite impressed and happy. Once it is finished and I have had a chance to evaluate everything I’ll write a detailed review of the outcome.

My fiancé and I encountered issues with our house in August – that apparently were caused by a slow but steady leak. The leak caused warping of our floors- which were a focal point of our 130 year old home in a historic district in New Orleans neighborhood. A few weeks ago, my wife and I realized that we were having some buckling issues with the hardwood floors in our house. I knew that the house had crawlspace moisture issues in the past, and decided to have someone come out and have a look. Sunlight Contractors was my first call based on the strength of their online ratings and user reviews. I called them late one afternoon and one of their guys, Clayton, was out the next morning. Clayton went under the house and took moisture readings and found high levels of moisture in my crawlspace. He called the owner, Ira, on the phone and they both described to me what would be required to truly solve the problem: drying out the moist wood with a large indirect heater and spraying closed cell foam insulation once the drying was complete. They had a detailed quote out to me that same afternoon. Of course, I got a second opinion, and it became immediately apparent that no other company I spoke with had such a strong grasp on the fundamental problem, nor did they have such a thorough plan for a solution. It was clear that Sunlight was the right choice.

Once they started the job, Ira and crew were in frequent contact with me, letting me know when they'd be coming by, sending me pictures of the moisture readings underneath the crawlspace, and just generally keeping me up to date with how things were progressing. I was terrified when termites were discovered in my home. Ira understood my dilemma. No other contractor could have offered what he did. I bought an older house and had high-end solid wood flooring installed in five rooms. Within a few months the new flooring in the three downstairs rooms was badly cupped. We found that it was due to open cell spray foam under the subfloor allowing moisture through. I have had some bad experiences with contractors and tradesmen, so I spent a lot of time doing my own research on subfloor insulation and spray foam in particular. I learned a lot. To remove the open cell and install closed cell, I had proposals from multiple companies specializing in spray foam. Sunlight was the only one that gave detailed and accurate information on everything to be done. Ira talked to me at length about the problems and what they would do. Based on my research, I knew their proposal was the only one that included everything needed to do the job properly. Ira was eager to explain to me every aspect of the project and answered my questions in detail. The written proposal included line item details and a separate list of additional work that may be needed with the cost for each item. After removing the old open cell they found that the moisture content of the wood was too high and the entire underside of the house would have to be dried with a special dehumidifier. That was one of the additional expense item listed on the proposal and I fully expected that one to be the case. Our raised home is not properly ventilated. From my own research, I knew the maximum moisture level of wood for closed cell spray foam and had already measured it in a few spots I could get to. (You can buy your own meter at Lowes or Home Depot.) Pleasantly, Ira reported that none of the other possible conditions existed. While the job was in progress, the crew arrived right on time every morning. Ira was there to oversee and inspect as the work progressed. He offered to show me the results as different phases were in progress or completed. The job was completed a few weeks ago and I am more than satisfied with the result. Of the multiple proposals, Sunlight was the highest quote, however, through past experiences and research, I know theirs was the only one that was accurate, complete and the only one that I could accept. Now that the project is complete I know I made the only choice I would have been satisfied with in the end. I’ll have warmer floors in the winter, I know the moisture problems are resolved and I can begin the process of redoing the cupped flooring.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Ira Bosh and his folks at Sunlight Contractors. The walk-in attic in our 2-year-old home was unbearably hot, as was the entire upstairs. Mr. Ira carefully explained the spray foam process and where the foam would be applied in our attic, and assured us that we would feel a major difference in temperature in not only the attic, but the entire upstairs. We are astounded at the difference it has made. The attic and entire upstairs is unbelievably cooler, and in fact, our entire home now is easier to keep cool . . . Amazing considering July temperatures!

I had noticed an issue with the cooling of my home. I talked with several friends who had spray foam work done in other cities, so I went online and started searching for a spray foam insulation provider in the New Orleans area. Incredibly professional company. I had insulation that had degraded after a 100 years and was a mess. The folks at Sunlight got me fixed up in no time and made sure I was always happy. Sunlight Contractors has been a breath of fresh air when compared to so many other contractors I have talk to concerning our foundation/subfloor problem. Communication has been excellent through the entire process . The workers have been knowledgeable ,very efficient and friendly .Currently, the project is ahead of schedule . They not only are repairing the rotted subfloor areas and protecting our existing floors as much as possible ,they are also addressing the cause of the problem ,humidity/dew points with closed cell foam insulation . Other contractors have offered to repair, replace and demo all the floors but offered no solution to the cause of the problem. Sunlight’s approach has been both conservative , as in preserving our existing floors as much as possible and inspired in the insulation technique to prevent air conditioning in the summer from rotting out your subfloor due to high dew points. Sunlight contractors just finished doing an insulation job in my attic. They were very informative in what needed to be done to fix our insulation issues that we were experiencing. They kept us informed of everything that was happening throughout the process and contacted us whenever issues can up. They were great to work with.

I contracted Sunlight to insulate a finished garage (it was already sheetrocked). The estimator showed up on time and answered all my questions. I decided on blow in cellulose insulation for the walls and attic. The install crew also showed up right on time. Each member introduced themselves to me by name and then started working. The job was finished in about 1/2 day. The crew did a good job on clean up but there was some fine dust. Also for blow in insulation, the customer has to patch the holes ( used to blow in the insulation) between the studs. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. I think they have the expertise to handle any type on insulation job. I recommend Sunlight without hesitation.

This is the third time that we have used Sunlight Contractors for different jobs and each time we have been very happy with the outcome. After careful research, I called Sunlight Contractors and spoke with Ira Bosh after which I had the highest confidence Sunlight Contractors was the right fit for the job.

Sunlight Contractors is a great company which took their time to completely remediate my home that was riddled with mold. Sunlight Contractors has a licensed mold remediation contractor from the IICRC, Mr. Glen Ray, who came to my home and conducted a complete evaluation. Glen performed the mold reports which were sent to a certified laboratory. Sunlight Contractors is also a licensed mold remediation contractor with the Louisiana state licensing board of contractors.

When the mold reports revealed high levels of mold, Glen recommended that my family and I leave our home ASAP to be safe. I then hired Sunlight Contractors and they sprayed all the mold spores around my home with an EPA certified Mold Stat that killed the mold spores. After spraying countless times, they vacuumed and scrubbed every inch of my walls, ceilings, and floors with an EPA certified mold disinfectant. They also removed all of our family's clothing from the house along with fibrous materials and placed them in a 16 foot pod. They then scrubbed the entire home again before going through with a HEPA vacuum air scrubber to remove all the dead mold spores.

The drying process took about 2 weeks, but Sunlight Contractors wanted the job done right so they didn’t rush through my home to move onto the next project. They took their time, were patient, and gave my home the attention it really needed. They brought huge commercial dehumidifiers and high-speed commercial HEPA air purification fans into our home to bring down all the moisture and humidity levels.

After the moisture and humidity levels were brought down to acceptable levels, Sunlight Contractors inspected my home and took more moisture readings to make sure their full-proof process was working.

Sunlight Contractors also had to replace our kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops.

Without Sunlight Contractors, my family would not have known we were living in a hazardous environment that could have jeopardized our health.

Since we were disinfecting the entire house, we also decided to spray foam the attic to insure our home would be completely sealed and have assurance that the humidity would remain outside and not inside the house.

We revamped the HVAC system and completely changed our energy envelope by installing a 295-pint a day dehumidification system which, in tandem with the spray foam enclosure, will bring down our humidity level to 50% or below.

My family and I are very happy with all the work Sunlight Contractors has performed and I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

After the samples were evaluated by the laboratory, their report indicated no more elevated mold spores were found. The reason I know this is because Ira Bosh from Sunlight Contractors sent me dozens of pictures and videos everyday explaining each and every step of the process. Sunlight Contractors is one of the most transparent companies I have ever done business with and if I could, I would rate them much higher than only five stars.

We had just bought our house in December when we realized how bad the cupping of the wood floors was. In our inspection report, it was mentioned as pertaining to the moisture under the subfloor, but not as a separate issue. When I tried to google "moisture, subfloor, foundation, lot grading," I mostly just came up with landscaping companies. I had someone come look at our drainage issue and give us a quote. But as I thought about it, I knew that rerouting the gutter drainage wouldn't solve the current issue with the moisture in the subfloors. Finally, one day I googled "subfloor moisture damage". I found reviews for Sunlight Contractors that explained customers' experiences with the exact same problem that we had. I filled out an email form and got a call back right away.
Ira set up an appointment and came by a few days later. They took moisture readings all around the house and showed me the readings. They explained that ideally you want the readings to be around 10% or lower. Reading from the front were fine, but the trouble area with the floor cupping had a higher moisture content. They wrote down the process and explained it step by step. They gave me a verbal estimate, but told me they would email a detailed estimate later that day.

It was more expensive than what I was hoping for, but the steps were explained. When it comes to spray foam, the process may run a few thousand dollars, but there is the drying of the subfloor beforehand, so that the spray foam is not trapping moisture in.

Every day during the process the guys working were courteous and kept us informed, as well as Ira texting or calling.

As they ran the dryers under the house, the wood flooring started to relax. The cupping didn't disappear, but it is much flatter than before.

As a result, our bedroom is quite warm when we run the heat, and the floor is nice and warm. While not a fun expense, this was a necessary expense. We are glad Ira and the team made it as easy as possible.

Updated review: We had Sunlight insulate the underside of our house but, because of a leaking pipe, they couldn't apply the insulation around the leak. We had the leak repaired and Sunlight came back to measure the moisture, place an industrial fan to dry out the area and return again to complete the application of the insulation. Three extra trips to make sure the job was done correctly, and no extra charge. Great customer service!
Sunlight Contractors recently completed the application of closed-cell foam insulation to the underside of my house in New Orleans. From the initial visit for measurements and an estimate, everyone from the company was extremely competent, professional and friendly. Their price for the job was the best of the three estimates I received and their knowledge regarding the process of application and the peculiarities of my particular job were far superior to any other contractor I met with.

The process of the installation was smooth and completed in less time than estimated. The crew as efficient, polite and professional. On completion of the job, the property was left in a cleaner condition than when they arrived.
