I want to preface this review by sharing that I'm not in the habit of writing reviews, but I had such
a good and positive experience with this company I thought this would prove helpful for my
fellow neighbors. In May 2023 our lives were upended after a plumbing company my next door
neighbor hired to do some work on their property created havoc in mine. After the initial shock of
what had happened and gathering our bearings to create a solution for this huge problem, the
insurance company wanted us to look for bids from local contractors that could fix all the
damage that had been caused by the plumbing company. After doing our research and meeting
with various contractors, we quickly learned this part of the process was going to prove one of
the most challenging and important ones. Having a contractor that is empathetic towards every
individual situation, respects your boundaries, supports your decisions and decision making
process, has excellent communication skills, and is a highly skilled professional is no easy feat.
I felt very safe and supported throughout this entire procedure and was quite impressed at their
“Think Yes!” positive attitude. When I pointed out certain needs that other contractors were sort
of dancing around it, CKB's team explained to me all the steps needed to achieve
those results and completed the job in record time, which is so valuable.
While I was doing my research I found myself reading and listening to a lot of reviews and
experiences of contractors showing timelines that were not met, thus delaying projects a lot,
often unnecessarily. CKB Services shared a timeline with my family and not only
delivered it, but finished the whole entire project before its stated completion date! I was very
impressed with their attention to detail and how his team showed up every day with such a
positive attitude and good camaraderie. The team works tirelessly and are very accommodating
to the requests I was asking of them here and there. Before they left for the day, they sought us
out to show us what they did and also ask for feedback in case we wished for things differently.
It was entirely our pleasure to welcome such a professional team into our home. I also want to
share something that often gets brushed over during reviews: pricing! CKB quoted me with
the most competitive pricing in all of PDX. As I previously mentioned, I did my research and
homework and what took us the longest throughout all this process was finding a professional
contractor that was a good fit for our family and the needs we presented. It took us about a year
to find the perfect fit that met our needs and budget! I wish I had known of them sooner
as it would’ve saved us so much time. I almost wanted to gatekeep their services as they’re one
of the most professional and competitive companies in the greater PDX/Vancouver area, but I
also want to do the right thing and share my experience with all my fellow neighbors. If you’re
looking for legitimate experts who will do the job on time, while sticking to a budget and making
the entire process super smooth, look no further!

Fredy and his team are incredible. We had new gutters installed and the exterior of our house painted. Along with prep, they made repairs to past damage and fixed past repairs of our roof made by another company. With all they did, they still finished ahead of schedule. They went above and beyond on everything. The before and afters are incredible and CKB will be our go to for future updates to our home.

The owner, Fredy is amazing! From the very start of calling him to set up the initial consultation to the day of the gutter install - it was the best interaction I’ve experienced with any contractor. Ever! Fredy is very knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and professional. One look at our old gutters (never been replaced since the house was built in 1995) and he knew exactly what to replace it with and scheduled us very promptly for the install date. We were in a bit of a hurry to beat the Portland rain season (!) and Fredy got us scheduled in two days. Upon inspection and consultation, Fredy also was more than happy to inspect our adjoining neighbors house (we live in a townhouse) due to some of the other unit’s gutters were installed improperly. Fredy took great video to show us the problem, which was really helpful. Also, Fredy’s crew was so great! They were very early to the job, but came and was parked and ready until the actual appointment time, so they were VERY prompt! I had a lot of questions for the guys, and they answered them, were happy to hear me out, and weren’t put out at all. Which is really appreciated. Another thing that was very nice and totally unexpected, when the crew was done with the job, not only did they clean up after themselves and all debris, they came out with a leaf blower and cleared out our entire front door walkway and driveway of leaves/rocks/debris!!! This company really goes above and beyond the job, from the communication, promptness to the job site, Fredy coming to the job to inspect the work/answer any questions, the crew being so courteous, and the cleanup and departing the job, and Fredy called me once the job was done to make sure I was happy with the work and to answer any more questions. I’m so grateful to have heard about Fredy and CKB Services from my coworkers, that I will continue to use CKB services for our gutters and beyond. I’m only sad I didn’t know about Fredy and CKB Services sooner!!

CKB replaced trim and cleaned our roof. Excellent, quality work, fairly priced, great folks to work with. They discovered during the job that they’d need extra materials but did not charge beyond the original quote they gave us. Very happy with the result.

Awesome service from start to finish! I submitted an inquiry on the website and got an immediate response. Fredy inspected my roof and home exterior and gave me video clips and a bid. I appreciated his friendly and professional demeanor accepted his bid. He showed up before 9 am the next day. He repaired some loose, missing shingles, caulked around my roof vents, cleaned the moss and debris from the roof and gutters. His wife also power washed our entire front porch/walkway and back patio. This was quite a task as several years of moss was fully removed. I am in the trades but live in another state so I did not have my people so I looked up roofing companies in the Gresham and Portland area. I called all that had good reviews and was hoping that CKB LLC would call as I noticed he had the most reviews and he had five stars. Freddy was the business who returned my calls. I told him my needs which was cleaning and repairing a roof on my dad s home that had been neglected for thirty years. We needed quick results and help because our family was trying to move my dad from his home of forty years and get that home listed. He came out I believe that afternoon and set up to come in four days. When I met Freddy I immediately knew he had integrity but I would later learn he is a rare breed in the trade world. He always walks the extra mile and personally helps with the work. He will give it his all and where most trade s need to be watched to receive all work you request and good quality , this is not the case with Freddy. He made my dad s roof look new and immediately came back with Andreas to install the ridge shingles and fix the vents for plumbing and heat. When on the roof they noted (even tho we knew about it) that the chimney stack was in bad condition. I asked if he had anyone he knew to help us and he personally looked for us and when all that he called were too busy too help, he personally offered to fix it. When I needed a yard cleaned up he sent his uncle Francisco who also went the extra mile. Freddy worked all day past sunset pressure washing the roof in the worst kind of rain and cold, covering the plants and then coming back to clean windows and the house. His business is named after his precious girls, one Kailey was there too , taking pictures and videos so my dad who was too sick to come out could see and all the family involved could too. He understood we needed this without our asking. I was running each day with more on my plate than I could do and yet here Freddy showed up and gave me peace and help that I did not have to supervise so I could keep running in another direction. CKB is one in a million … rest assured you will not be sorry for there work. They will stand by their word and be on time and go the extra mile in all Freddy and his family and crew do. We had an absolutely amazing experience with CKB with a roof cleaning / moss treatment, gutter cleaning and some roof patching. After reaching out via the website, Fredy contacted us that day to come over and take a look at our property to give us a quote.

After spending about 10-20 min on our roof, Fredy shared a couple videos with us of the current condition. Specifically pointing out areas of concern and following with a quote for a clear scope of work.

A couple days before we were scheduled to do the job, I asked if the CKB team wanted to do the project sooner to finish before the rain came into town for a week. Fredy and the team were very flexible and able to finish the project well ahead of schedule.

CKB Services was an awesome experience for me. They replaced my old shake roofs. Fredy is very attentive to every detail and communicates very clearly. The CKB crew is incredible. The crew has unbelievable endurance and they work through whatever weather comes their way. They even covered everything up inside the attic and garage before removing the shake and then cleaned out all the mess. Fredy is really the VERY BEST you will find when you need ANY home services. He is courteous, friendly, and professional every time we need something done. I've had this company clean my roof now for several years. Have a lot of fir tress behind our property and my roof gets covered with fir needles. He has always been prompt and courteous and does a great job cleaning my roof. I would highly recommend him.

We had them come out to clean the roof, gutters, chimney, and moss treatment. They came out right away (which we were grateful for as everyone is so busy this time of year) and did an amazing job hand scrubbing the surfaces and cleaning. I have used this service in the past for gutter cleaning and was so pleased that I had them back this year to clear my roof of a heavy carpeting of moss. Fredy and his wife Rosario worked all day and when done took pictures of the finished produce so I could see what they had done. Fredy came by the same day I called and gave me a very reasonable estimate and we scheduled a day for roof/gutter cleaning and moss treatment (my relatively new roof was a mess from this past year). I would give CKB service a 6 star rating if possible. Freddy and his team were top notch, on time, above and beyond in communication, excellent value, but above all else, very high quality work. They pressure washed our tile roof cleaned thoroughly cleaning years of moss growth. Repaired a few issues that had come up over the years. They cleaned around and inspected our solar panels and installed clever low visibility tie off anchor points for future safe roof work. Ironically others near by we’re getting their roof cleaned at the same time by a competitor. I am 100% happy we went with CKB when looking at the final product. Already shared their info with a friend who is interested in getting their tile roof cleaned.

Fredy was great. Good communication, arrived on time. Gave us great advice and provided a temporary fix to small problem free of charge. We will definitely be calling Fredy again.

We employed Fredy Marcial with CKB Services LLC, he and his crew came in and got the job done, they were/are always so professional and they're genuinely concerned and invested in your satisfaction and approval. They did a roof inspection and removed the moss and treated our roof, they added permanent anchor points to our roof which will help in the future when we're ready to install a new roof and yes we will be hiring them to do that when the time comes. We are so grateful for all of the work they've done for us, we've hired them in the past and will hire them in the future.

CKB installed three permanent anchor points for safety ropes/harnesses, hand-scraped the moss off of our roof, cleaned it, applied moss-killer treatment, cleaned our skylights, checked the gutter system, and cleaned up everything all in that same afternoon (after they’d finished the neighbor’s job)!

Their work ethic was remarkable. Their equipment and vehicles were well maintained.

Our project was done far above my expectations. Fredy texted me videos of the work as it was being done. Fredy was easy to work with and we will absolutely use CKB for future maintenance and other services around our house.

Our neighbors recommended Fredy and his company to clean/pressure wash our roof, siding and driveway. Fredy gave me a very competitive bid and said his team would be here on the 5th. He showed up @ 0900 with his team and they got right to work. They had completed the whole project in 6 hours and did a fantastic job. Very definitely worth the price and we will hire them again!

Update 06/2025:
Fredy cleaned my gutters and inspected roof. We needed to replace after 26 years and Fredy was honest about all the repairs needed and sent video evidence the entire way through the project. He did not try to upsell and all recommendations were confirmed as needed. The team was very prompt, worked hard, were always courteous and completed ahead of scheduled. 2021: If you want a quality, professional service then the 2-man team led by the owner of CKB Services won’t let you down. Always prompt with calls and scheduled appointments. They worked safely on the roof with tie downs and completed all work promised with photo and video verifications sent to me. The area was cleaned up spotless before they left. I recently moved into our new neighborhood and saw Freddy cleaning the roof of ever house on our street so I figured he had to be good. I found out how good when I hired him to do my roof too.
