I have an old house in Shandon which means there will be quirky issues during any work. I was so grateful to have Lex's expertise when, during the remodel of the original bathroom, the old house challenges and opportunities came up. They were handled smoothly by well-vetted subcontractors.
The overall workmanship was excellent, from the attention to the precise tilework to adding a custom cupboard that made the best use of space.
Reliable, great communicator, easy to work with, doesn't settle for any sloppy work.
There are a lot of folks out there, it's great to find out one you can really trust

When I first met with Lex back in 2023,I immediately knew he was the right G.C. to execute my full lake house renovation. Lex, Josh, and the Chrome Rhino team are outstanding. As others have noted, Lex does meticulous work, including exceptional tile work. On our most recent project, the team massively upgraded our plumbing, plumbing fixtures, drywall, paint, and tile.

Lex's abilities also include fantastically well-planned and beautifully executed large-format tile work. The bathrooms he and his team upgraded for us are very satisfying to use, and look absolutely great.

We really enjoy working with Lex; he is very personable, a good listener, has good suggestions, can intuit when a different solution is preferable, and is flexible with schedules. We're actually about to begin another project with him. Most highly recommended.

Chrome Rhino renovated my guest bathroom and the outcome is amazing. This was a full renovation. The tile work is beautiful and the grout lines are seamless. Additionally, Lex (owner) discovered and repaired a couple of significant structural issues which were a result of poor decisions by previous contractors. I was so pleased with Lex and his team that I am using Chrome Rhino on a second project. I highly recommend the Chrome Rhino team.

Lex renovated our utility room into an insulated laundry room. He was very professional and kept me informed the entire time. He did quality work very timely which is hard to find these days!
He also has kept in touch to make sure we have no issues and are happy with our remodel… which we are!!

We had a bathroom total gut and expansion along with closets added to a bedroom and the bathroom becoming an en-suite to the bedroom. I can not say enough about this business, they were On Time Every Day, Never Missed a Day and even worked a Sat. We have used Chrome Rhino for two residential renovation jobs at our home. In both cases, Lex and his team went above and beyond to ensure that our project was completed on budget and to our liking. I never thought an extensive renovation of my home would be one of the best experiences of my life. With Lex/Chrome Rhino, it was. I knew Lex for many years, witnessed his creation and transformation of other homes, and had no need or desire to get bids from anyone else. I could not have been more satisfied throughout the entire experience. Lex’s craftsmanship, work ethic, honesty, integrity, dependability, exquisite taste, and flexibility turned a little old bungalow into my dream home. The only drawback, is there’s no one like him. I have since relocated to another state and have missed him terribly!

Chrome Rhino has redone my bathroom. Lex came by and we talked about what I wanted done, tub removed, install tiled shower, new chair height toilet, new sink and mirror. We talked about various types of tile and finally decided on type and color. During the tearout, the joists needed work and he did a marvelous job with sistering them to the new sill that had been installed several years before. His sub contractor plumber replumbed the house and installed a new water heater.

Several years before doing the bathroom, Lex had redone my front porch which had a leaking problem. He replace the side lights, built new railings, put up a new awning, made sure the leak was fixed, and replaced the sidelights with hardiboard. He also repainted and refurbished my side porch.

I have been extremely pleased with the work Lex and Chrome Rhino have done for me. In fact I've just contacted him again about some problems I'm having and I have no doubt he'll do his usual excellent work. I can highly recommend Lex and Chrome Rhino

Lex gutted and remodeled a kitchen for us that included knocking down 2 walls. From the very start he was communicative and responsive, organized, methodical and diligent. In addition to his contractor skills, he has an artist's aesthetic and offered suggestions along the way that we are glad we followed. His work is meticulous and he takes great pride in doing his job well. We were doing our project long distance and Lex kept us in the loop with progress photos and questions/suggestions when necessary. I trusted him totally in our absence. He did a beautiful job on our remodel, was on time and on budget. There were no complications and no surprise expenses. If you are looking for a great contractor that you can trust and that has integrity, Lex is your guy. He shows up, does great work, is on time and stays on budget. I wish I could give him 10 stars.

Lex has done so much work for me. Always replies immediately and shows up when he says he will and provides A+ work. He’s renovated two of my bathrooms, patched and painted ceilings and even saved me with a roof leak. Great work!

Lex has worked on a few projects at our house including converting a screened in porch to a sunroom. He is dependable, clean, and attentive to detail. We have always been happy with his final results!

Installed tile in two bathrooms, and completely renovated master tub/shower to a walk in tiled shower. Worked with my schedule. Anything I needed to pick out for the project, he had places to go and people readily available to help immediately. Very professional, would definitely use again. My husband Richard White and I have contracted Lex to work on our house for multiple projects - replaced and installed flooring, rebuilt the chimney and installed necessary sheathing that was ommitted by the original builder, gutted our downstairs bathroom and transformed it with: new basketweave tile flooring/reframed the walls with sheetrock, beadboard/custom small sink/reframed & installed new window/replaced the inferior ceiling light with a contemporary dimmable light/replumbed and installed a new toilet/and hung a barn door to enclose it. That bathroom is stunning and a vast improvement from what previously existed!

Whenever we want to do reno or a new build, Lex is the only person that we trust to give us a realistic idea of what is possible. And, Lex will honestly tell us if it is worth pursuing. He will then suggest better alternatives.
