I recently hired Chris's Handyman Service, LLC for a flooring project in my Tacoma home, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Chris and Paul installed luxury vinyl planks across my living room, dining room, and hallway—covering about 450 square feet of beautiful, durable flooring. They not only laid the planks flawlessly but also removed and replaced the trim, added new trim in areas that previously lacked it, re-caulked the trim and doors, and even added transition pieces where necessary.

Chris & Paul are amazing - skilled, caring, detail-oriented, friendly, funny. They have helped me with multiple projects around the house - installing outside security cameras & a keypad doorknob, replacing decaying backyard steps, improving between-studs bookshelves, replacing light fixtures & a showerhead, securing CD shelving & a shoe cabinet to walls, repairing drywall & painting, and patching garden shed walls. Their latest projects were building and installing four new large metal raised garden beds and putting together a new metal patio bench glider. They have been a joy to work with. They always listen carefully to what I envision for a project and help work through how to complete it successfully with creative suggestions and solutions. My list of projects for them continues to grow, and I have every confidence that each one will be completed in a professional and timely manner.

I called Chris to come to our rescue with a fence problem. The last two windstorms we had in Tacoma really did a number on our cedar fence. Chris made some time to look the problem over - figured out a solution and in a day it was fixed! He’s smart, efficient and a great communicator.

Chris and Paul did a great job framing a new wall off our living room, framing and installing French door in wall, installing drywall on new wall, and texturizing to match the existing walls in room.

Chris and Paul came out a couple times to look at the measurements and door to hang to make sure it was doable, and from there stuck to initial schedule and very happy with their work.

Throughout the project kept the workspace clean and was very happy with there attention to detail and skill. Chris and Paul are really nice guys but, their attention to detail didn’t seem to be there. I was in a pinch and needed some extra help completing renovations so that I could list my rental property in time.

I hired them to caulk my new trim and grout my new fireplace tile. They ended up smearing caulking all over my trim, walls, and on my freshly painted new front door. They also left grout on my freshly painted fireplace and on the face of the new tile. I did my best to clean up the mess but, I ended up having to repaint all of the trim and I was not able to get the caulk off my front door.

I picked Chris’s Handyman service because of the good reviews but, I feel like maybe a lot of those good reviews are fake. If I could go back in time I would have just done the work myself.

I needed a piece of my siding repaired when my wife noticed it had some dry rot. Chris came out the same week and fixed the issue quickly, professionally, and at an honest price. Will definitely be keeping him in mind for future projects.

We’ve worked with Chris twice now, about a year and half apart, and both times he’s been super responsive, reliable, and we’ve been very happy with his work. He’s helped us replace doors, handles, and locks and replace a bathroom exhaust fan. Recently he’s helped us clean out our attic that was inhabited by birds, sanitize, trouble shoot blocking the vent holes the birds were coming through with chicken wire, cover other vent holes, and he built us a new driveway fence that was blown down by windstorms last year. I hired Chris's Handyman Services to repair and paint the soffits, fascia, and trim on the exterior of my house in August.

Chris and Paul were wonderful and easy to have around. I felt very comfortable with both.

Chris and his partner came to rebuild a gate that repeatedly kept sagging and was not aligned well. I also wanted a garden arbor built above the new fence gate. Chris took my ideas and made them even better. It’s classic, well built and sturdy (we get high winds off the sound). He communicated well and was highly responsive and did the job in a day. When I got home everything was neat tidy and the gate closed!! Can’t wait to have him come back for other projects.

Chris helped out when during a renovation we found some water damage from an outside vent behind our kitchen wall. He gave us a very fair price when others quoted outrageous prices for the work to be done. We also called him back to have some wood trim replaced around our windows. He was very professional and provided excellent work. We will call him for any project we have in the future.

I have used Chris to repair items in my home on two occasions. He does a high quality repair and adds his own suggestions for remedying my repairs. I highly recommend him. He charges a fair price and goes beyond what is expected. I will ask him again to do some more work for me in the near future.

Chris & Paul are provided excellent work for me. They replaced a patio covering and picked up all material needed, returned any not used and did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job.

Most recently, Chris shored up my sagging fence. We had others give us quotes but wanted to replace the whole thing. Chris checked the fence completely, discovered there were only a few problematic boards and found a new way of fixing the fence that was much less than replacing the whole thing.

I already have him scheduled for more work. I recommend him highly and suggest you call for an appointment and be patient. He is busy but very reliable and does excellent work.

We had Chris's Handman Service replace
ceiling tiles with a sheetrock ceiling in a basement bedroom. Chris and Paul did an awesome job with the sheetrock, tape and texture. We also had them paint the paneling in the room. It has been transformed from a 1960 dark and dingy room, into a light, spacious room. Chris was easy to work with - they were always on time and always communicated during the process.

An excellent experience working with Chris. He repaired fencing and a broken door jam for us, and did a great job! He was flexible when additional fencing needed attention.
