We were having recurring problems with rainwater flowing behind our gutters as they had slightly pulled away from the roof. One company came in, cleaned them a bit and hammered the gutters back in, but they worked their way out as hammering a nail back into an existing hole is prone to do. At our wits end, we tried a gutter cover service to see what they recommended...They recommended $8,5000 worth of covering over 10-year-old gutters; I'm sure that would be a good investment.
Chavez Brothers came on site and recommended doing 2 things: 1) Screw - not nail - the gutters back in place. 2) Go with a bigger opening on downspout due to length of gutter & amount of water needing to move (no other company recommended a larger downspout opening). For the price quoted, I asked them to proceed. A couple months...and a couple heavy rainstorms...later and the gutter system is still working like new. Water is running down & out of the gutter as opposed to BEHIND the gutter and flooding our doorways.
Not only did Chavez Brothers look at the situation and come up with a true Root Cause vs. just trying to sell us something, they fixed it for a fraction of what others wanted to charge. Go to these people first if you need roofing/gutter/siding work done.
