We were so greatful to find a contractor like LB who was willing to complete our projects in a reasonable amount of time for an affordable price. Other contractors had come to our house to give us a quote, which was much more than we could afford, or they just would not call us back after seeing what we wanted done. But thanks to LB and Jeremiah, both of our projects were completed. And even though drywall work creates a mess, they cleaned it up each day to lessen the final cleanup. We needed the laundry room drywalled and instead of just putting drywall on the ceiling under the venting system, LB decided to frame in a soffit around it. And it came out looking amazing! He also framed in a door with a header and sides, which turned out looking like it had always been there. Couldn’t have asked for a better team to take on the plaster repairs needed in our home. After almost a year of meeting with contractors I finally met LB. He was the only contractor who explained what would be required to repair the plaster and drywall. The house was built in the late 40’s. He sent over the estimate within a few days of the walk thru. After reviewing the estimate and asking a few questions he sent a contract & I signed and he proved me a date. His team came to work daily on time and were professional. The walls and ceiling look amazing, they had to close off a door & window it does even look like a window or door was ever there. If you need work don’t hesitate to give him a call.

LB repaired two plaster ceilings in my house. Both had large cracks from water damage. He did a great job repairing the plaster, and then he matched the existing stipple perfectly. It would be difficult to find someone more skilled and professional. Highly recommended.

LB did an excellent job installing a new ceiling and patching up plaster and drywall in my 1955 bathrooms. He fixed all kinds of mistakes previous contractors had made! We had some badly damaged sections of plaster with the metal lathe exposed. Everyone else wanted to drywall over it, but LB carefully repaired the wall to the original specs in 2 days. It looks great and the finish is flawless. He sends digital quotes, which nobody around here seems to do, and was punctual and efficient.

Ta-Da!!! Called "A1 Do it All" Monday morning & that afternoon they came out for an estimate Woo-hoo! Now I have to tell ya, the quote was pricey (but I have NO IDEA how much the going rate for drywall is). By the time we were finished with the tour of the house it ended up being 10 walls and $2,700!!! I was a little nervous bc 1. They wanted 1/2 up front and 2. These walls had some tricky spots i.e., 2 flew holes, both of which needed to be ground down, a doorway to cover, stress cracks to mend, multiple pits, dings, and mishaps with previous repairs and tape... lots of tape! LB said the job would take about 4 days, W/ 2-3 men working from 8:30a-4:30p and they could start the next morning; YESSSS!
These folks were clean and organized... ok, well as much as one can be clean with drywall & plaster They came on time every day. When they took a break for lunch, they ate picnic style outside under the shade tree. They cleaned up All their trash and cigarette buts. They even moved our 2 couches back Iinto the family room AND wiped up the wood floors after they vacuumed! Now I have to say, we are overall very pleased with the plaster work especially. Some of our walls had more waves than the Pacific Ocean, but they were able to make them flat! When the crew left for the day, they cleaned their equiptment and tidyed up the space. On the last day they took down all the plastic barriers, vacuumed, and wiped down the wood floors and the bathroom!!! They left our home "man clean" but in order for me to paint, obviously I still had to wipe the walls, doors, switchplates, furnature and floors multiple times to rid the area of dust (but that's a no brainer, its drywall).
On the negative side, I wish they would have not finished early on day 3 and actually come back on day 4, because we have since noticed a couple areas that the baseboard trim will not hide, that should have been corrected .
Now the question is... would we use them again? You Betcha! A1 Do it All drywall gave us the much needed boost to get our house in order and on the path to looking good!!

This is the only company you want doing drywall work in your home.

I called on Friday and LB (the owner of the company) came out on Saturday to provide a quote. His team then started the job on Monday and they were done by Thursday! Unheard of for a contractor! Every other contractor I called did not even come out for an estimate!

LB is super conscientious about what he does and he and his team are very professional. They will keep your house clean as they work, they work quickly and their work is excellent. Plus, the prices are very, very reasonable.

Finally, I noticed a small flaw in a patch (can only be seen in a certain light and most would not even notice it). Did the company ignore my concern or give me the runaround? Absolutely not! LB made contact with me and maintained outstanding communication until he was able to come out and assess and fix the issue. This is the most critical measure of the company as far as I am concerned - how they respond to a customer's issue after the job is completed - and A1 again far exceeded my expectations.

I have more drywall work that I need done in my home and A1 is the only company I would want to do that work!

LB was a pleasure to do business with. I have done enough remodeling to know when someone knows what they are doing, and finishing drywall and matching plaster is one of the things that requires the most skill. LB is a pro. He went behind himself with a bright light to look for imperfections and refinished everything he found. I would recommend LB to anyone.

Though we kept playing phone tag, once we connected he came out the same day for an estimate and our repair was done the next week. Nice guy, very professional, and the repair he made to our plaster ceiling was so good you can't even tell where it was.

I hired this company to fix the stress cracks in our plaster walls. They said they would leave it ready for us to paint. Well not only did they not do so great with fixing the cracks and even missing certain areas they also broke our window sill and tried to tell us that they didn’t break it which lead to us having to call someone out to fix that. They massively over charged us considering the fact that we had already opened most of the the cracks before hiring them which is the most time consuming part of the job. I asked them to fill the nail holes, they did not, I asked them to get the cracks that we had not already opened and they only got a few of them and tried to tell us they didn’t see the rest of the cracks and even left holes in some of the plaster. A few weeks later and their work was already coming apart.

They did a fantastic job of repairing a hole in the ceiling. You would never know it was ever there! Very professional, and took care to keep area around where they were working protected & cleaned up everything before they left. Would definitely use them again & I highly recommend them!

LB is great. Very professional and does great work. Best of all he is very clean! Drywall can make an absolute mess, but he taped everything off to prevent the dust getting all throughout the house! He is also very reasonablewith his pricing. I highly recommend him.

Came promptly and gave a quote. He said he would email a contract with the quote and scope of work. He also was very reassuring that he could get the work done in the time frame we required. The contract didn’t come. Early the next week we messaged him to let him know we hadn’t received an email. We asked if we were still on. First he said he didn’t know what job I was talking about. Then he asked what he quoted. I told him the job and quote, and then he suddenly remembered the job, and he also suddenly remembered the quote being higher than we had agreed. I told him he was mistaken. He insisted that the higher total was the quote he had given. Dishonest. We’re going with a different contractor.

Update:
You’re response to this review goes to the heart of the issue. More dishonesty. You came to the house on September 19th, We talked again on September 24th. That’s 5 days. Not two and a half to three weeks. If the job was smaller than you wanted you should have said so. And you did ask me for my email so that you could send me a contract with the quote and scope of work which you never sent.

What a great company! I called them on a Sunday, he came out the next day to give me a quote, and did the job on Thursday. He was prompt, courteous, and professional with everything. I couldn't be happier with the work!

LB and his crew did an AMAZING job on our home. They worked in our home for 2 weeks and did Absolutely everything we asked of them. They did not take any short cuts and did great work!!! I would not use anyone else in this town for drywall or wall repairs! They went above and beyond!!!

LB is personable but not the best business man. He scheduled to come out and quote the work. He forgot and missed the quote date/time. He then told me he would be out on Monday (holiday) to do the work. He later change that to Tuesday. I spend the holiday getting the house ready for him an literally he texted me at the 11th hour to say he got a bigger job and he would not be doing my job as promised. I called Tommy and he did a great job at a better price. Call LB if you want to have interesting conversations but call Tommy if you need work done.

All I can say is Wow!

LB and his team were honest, on time, and did a great job. They were able to match the pattern of a stippled ceiling for 2 separate repairs. We tried no less than 5 other contractors before someone mentioned LB's group. Out of the other 5, they either never showed up to look at the job, or never followed up with an estimate. Not the case with LB, his final price was exactly as quoted and the job was done when promised.

I have a house that I bought that is 5 years old. The previous owners started construction on it in 2012 and never finished it. Some of the drywall had already been finished and painted in two of the bedrooms. The rest needed to be finished(mud/sand etc). I contacted A1 about finishing all the drywall for me as I had seen they had really good reviews online. I hired them to do the job and the initial contract consisted of a piece of notebook paper with a price on it and a list of materials that was barely legible. When they started the job, which was roughly two months later, I was then sent a contract via email with the set price and some terms and conditions. The two month delay was on me due to waiting to obtain a construction loan. Once they started, it took Lb and his crew about a week to finish which I was happy with. Upon coming to the house at the completion of his work I smelled cigarette smoke strongly as soon as I entered the house. Keep in mind I do not smoke and at the time there was some areas in the house with open insulation! Very dangerous and disrespectful. I also found in both bathrooms the had left gobs of drywall mud on the shower walls and tubs. In the contract sent to me it stated that all excess drywall mud, dust, etc would be cleaned upon completion of the job. So needless to say I was not happy. I contacted Lb and he came back and cleaned up the mud on the tubs and sprayed the house with Febreeze. But not before we had quite a few words about it. He justified his crew smoking in the house and said that was the reason why they were able to finish so quickly because they didn't have to stop and take smoke breaks. He then changed his story and said they smoked on the front porch and the smoke drifted inside the house, which I find hard to believe because we found cigarette butts in the floor of the house.He also told me he thought it was ok to smoke in the house since I didn't tell him not to. To be honest I didn't think I needed to. To me its just common sense to not smoke in a house, especially if it doesn't belong to you. He also said that the mud on the tub was the home owners responsibility and that this was the first time he had ever been asked to clean the tub although in his contact it clearly stated that he was responsible for clean up. Upon bringing up this fact he again had his own reasons why he was right and I was wrong. I was not going to write a review but now, 2-3 weeks after there are lots of cracks in the drywall. The ceiling in the living room and dining room have 3 cracks in them, each about 8-10ft long. There are 2 cracks in the ceiling in the hallway. The wall above on of the bathroom doors has a crack on either side of it. All in all I am not happy with A1 do it all. Not easy to get along with in the event you confront them about something you do not like, and the quality of the work is sub par to say the least. Keep in mind we have already painted and installed flooring since they finished so having to re-do drywall would be too messy and time consuming at this point so I'm basically just going to live with it. I am not satisfied with their work and I will not recommend them.

A1 Do It All Drywall did an excellent job on our lower level bedroom. The crew was always on time, courteous, and explained carefully how the job was going to be done. Following completion of the job, the crew meticulously cleaned the work area. I highly recommend them and will definitely call them for any future work in my home.
