Great customer service. They explained everything very well and if I had questions and needed to connect with them the always called or emailed back in a timely manor. They made the process from beginning to end and follow up the best experience customer service wise on a project of this scale the best I have ever had.

We just completed the install and have now turned on the solar panels. Earth Right have been great to deal with. Everyone at the office have been great answering questions. The installers were great. The yard and driveway were clean and pick up. The panels look great and seem to be producing as advertised. I would strongly recommend this company.

A neighbor went solar and I saw the sign and inquired. The process was easy and straightforward, the customer service rep answered all of my questions and was eager to find a way to make a plan work for me where I was at (not too pushy for sales). Honest, professional, and friendly! After talking with all of the other solar companies in the Lynchburg area, Earth Right is the only company that is worth your time and money. No one else in this area includes home efficiency upgrades as well. The other companies will tell you that this is not important, but the truth is that it absolutely is! I had no idea how poorly my attic insulation was until Earth Right installed blown insulation with the earth shield radiant barrier. After they added the insulation last January, my heat pump only ran for an hour throughout the day on average. It used to run eight hours a day! I had 30 panels installed so that I would always make lots of power and I am very happy with the out put. I have virtually no power bill now! There's too many good things to say about this company; give them a call and see how much more awesome your home can be!

If you go with this company make sure you listen when they talk about getting money back from on your tax return because we were promised 30% of our money from the solar panels on our taxes and that money would be ours to do what we want with or mainly to go towards or loan to keep our bill at an affordable rate and we would get it the Next year when we filed our taxes, but when we went to file go figure we didn’t get it we Got about 25% of the amount back we were promised and when we called the salesman’s he swore he never told us that Information, and he said depending on your tax bracket you may not get that money back or you may get it back In increments, so we were not able to pay the loan the money they needed within the time period to keep our bill affordable so they lied about a lot of things so BUYERS BEWARE AND LISTEN VERY WELL! Solar panels are pretty good but we were lied to the entire process and were promised a big return of money for going solar and we only got back about a fourth of the money we were told we would receive! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND TO THAT THE MONEY IS ONLY A CREDIT AND NOT GUARANTEED MONEY THAT THEY ARE PROMISING CUSTOMERS IF THEY BUY! hope this helps buys in the future. We will never be tricked like this again!!!!

I only have positive things to say about Earth Right Mid-Atlantic. Some guys came to our door, and they told us that we could get a free assessment for our energy consumption. We agreed, and we scheduled an appointment. Brent Raub came to our house and showed us how we could be saving money on our power bill by switching to solar. He explained everything in simple terms so that we could understand it. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. He helped us get qualified for financing at a low interest rate. We decided to go ahead and get a new roof because we would need to do that in a couple of years anyway. Earth Right hired the roofing contractors and took care of everything for us. Everyone we encountered has been extremely professional and thorough. Our power bill went from over $200 per month down to a high of around $45-50 per month. Our lowest bill was just over $8, and our average bill has been around $25-30. Our rate is locked in with AEP, and will never increase, even if our neighbors have a rate increase. We are extremely happy with everything! Thank you to Brent and Earth Right Mid-Atlantic!

These folks did a great job adding extra insulation to my home and sealing off the doors so I won't lose as much heat in the winter or cooling in the summer. I highly recommend this company!

I just moved into my home from the northeast, so I was very aware ai would need to use more air conditioning than most folks. And all of my appliances are electric, and I work from home and have 2 businesses from home, so I knew I would want solar. I met Matt 2 days after I arrived- I was an easy sell, knowing I wanted it already, but I was so impressed by the professionalism shown at every step by every single person I encountered by EarthRight Mid Atlantic: Matt, Ryan, Scott, Benji, Connor (I feel like I missed someone)- highly recommend their service. The actual install was SO smooth and fast! I've already seen a lower electricity bill in my first month! Grateful for these folks' commitment to renewable energy!

I had a very enjoyable experience working with Earth Right Mid-Atlantic (ERE) on going solar and making some energy efficiency upgrades to my home. The ERE salesman (Brent Raub) was very knowledgeable and informative. Brent kept in touch with me throughout the entire project to make sure that things were going well and to keep me updated on the project's progress. Every person with ERE that I encountered during the project (from installers to the company president) was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. I've been up and running for a little over two weeks now and my solar system seems to be producing within the range that was predicted on my solar quote. I find the MySolarEdge app very informative and enjoy being able to use the app to see exactly what is going on with my solar system's electrical production and my home's electrical usage at any given time. I would recommend ERE to anyone that is considering going solar!

I bought an Earth Right Mid Atlantic solar system for my house in December of 2022. The overall system performance has exceeded my expectations--my average electric bill with the system is $14.51 per month! I recently noticed that the production one of my panels seemed to be lagging a bit. Earth Right diagnosed the problem and acted very quickly to replace the panel. What a relief to be doing business with a company that stands behind their product! Great product, great people, great customer service--thanks Corey, Scott, and company!

The team at EarthRight was a pleasure to work with. The communication from them was clear and timely every step in the process. The savings have exceeded their estimation. With a back up generator installed by EarthRight we have the security in knowing we will have full power even when the lines are down. EarthRight is my first and only recommendation for solar and back up power installation!

When we first started thinking about going solar, it seemed like the Internet was full of companies that were either not local, turned out to be defunct, or simply did not respond to our inquiries for information. Earth Right responded immediately, sent Cody A. to our house very quickly to do an initial meeting, and then had a plan ready for us within about a week. We then visited the showroom in Lynchburg, which to us was a statement of commitment not only to energy efficiency but to longevity as a company. Since this was a big financial commitment, we took our time making a decision, and we did not feel pressured to move forward until we were ready to; we were also offered several different financing options to choose from. Was this inexpensive? No. But we have had a lot of experience going the “cheap” route on projects, and solar power was not a project we wanted to risk this on. We now have solar panels, a new roof, and a more energy-efficient attic with 25 years of customer service and warranties. The crews ran into a few headaches with our house (it’s not new, after all) and they have sent staff out promptly to deal with any problems with no charge to us. From April to July, we have been keeping a spreadsheet of electricity production and costs; even through these months of air conditioning (July was very hot!), if we factor in the SREC credits we get in our bank account each month, we have paid a total of $42.71 for electricity in that time period. If everything keeps working as it should, and their customer service continues to be as reliable as it has been so far, we will be very happy.

Earth Right is an awesome company to work with! Answering all my questions in the beginning and entertaining all the different scenarios for sizing I threw at them, they were timely with answers and they had plenty of patience! All of the team was courteous and kind! The efficiency improvements alone saved me 30% on my electric usage in July and I’m excited to see how much energy I produce with my panels! I would highly recommend this company if you are interested in solar!

I always had interest in solar panels, however, had no idea how they worked or if it would actually be worth the investment.

I had attended the Strawberry festival in downtown Roanoke. I stopped at the tent/booth set up asked a few questions about solar vs. electric. They were very informative providing me with a lot of visuals on their tablet. I was offered a free estimate, so why not hear them out?

They came to my house the following Friday. They did a thorough assessment. There were multiple steps in the process of different reps coming out and they each were responsible for their own part. All were professional, thorough, and very nice! All were so informative; their knowledge on their own products is impressive. Usually the answer is “I’m not over that area, however I can ask” they had enough knowledge across the board to answer any miscellaneous questions that came up.

The company provided an easy to understand contract it broke everything down in layman’s terms. They have different financing options to fit those with excellent/perfect credit and those with less than perfect credit!

They did an assessment on my roof, I got my 20 year old roof completely replaced and they through it in to the loan/financing option. Didn’t even change the monthly price that much! They did such a beautiful job! The roofing company went all around my house and cleaned up any debris they caused, I didn’t expect that at all!

The installation of my panels took a good maybe 6 hours give or take! They were kind, courteous, even played with my German shepherd a little once they were done and the gentlemen was explaining the outside panels to me.

The owner, I believe, went out of his way to personally contact me and check on me throughout the process and to congratulate me. He walked me through how to turn on the panels once my final inspection from the county was complete. He sent me videos on how to turn it on myself, or offered to have a technician to come out and flip the switch if I wasn’t comfortable.

I’ve been trying to find some time off work so I took the chances on an electrical shock ;) Thankfully, although I had NO DOUBT, they installed everything perfectly and it was a breeze!

Hi, we had a full house solar system installed by Earth Right in the latter part of May, 2024. The entire process from initial consultation through installation was great. Everyone i dealt with was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Earth Right was also very helpful in all aspects of inspections and permitting- all i had to do was fill out a couple forms. The system has been in operation for just over two months and my electric bill has not exceeded 10.00 !! My May bill was only 10.00 and we only had the system for the last ten days of the month. For the first month, I was totally addicted to the app, always looking at how much power was being generated, versus being consumed. On a typical day i generate three times what I use, with the excess being credited for use in the winter. I am looking forward to seeing the results once a full year has passed.

I highly recommend Earth Right Mid-Atlantic. They were very upfront and honest about the process of getting solar and explaining everything thoroughly. Everything has been a positive experience.

Super professional and uber-ethical business practices from day one! We first learned about Earth Right Mid-Atlantic from a competitor of theirs, oddly enough. I was talking with a dude from a company finishing up some window work for us and mentioned that I was looking for solar quotes. The company he worked for does solar, but he said, "I know you're probably not too happy with us, so I won't suggest you call us about solar. But you might try Earth Right." That caught my attention! I actually had a quote in hand that I was very happy with from another local company, but for due diligence, I called for a second quote from Earth Right and I'm so glad I did.

Our first contact was with Matt, apparently a star already, judging by the mentions in other reviews. Matt was fantastic. He came and made a proposal and we ended up being very impressed.

First off, the ethical stand of this business can't be overstated. In our experience, they are really concerned about quality, integrity, and not over-selling anything. The proposal from Earth Right had less panels than the quote I was prepared to accept and was much less expensive. I asked why they suggested four fewer panels than the other quote, and Matt answered that looking at our energy usage, size of the house, efficiency upgrades that were part of their proposal, etc. they didn't think it was necessary. He then said that they prefer to aim a bit lower on system size since they can easily add panels if needed, but once they are up, you really can't take them away. Made perfect sense to me and showed all kinds of integrity. By the way, four months in, it seems that the number of panels was right on target - couldn't be happier.

The install process was great - super simple, GREAT CREW. All of the post-installation bits with getting the inspection and dealing with the power company was super smooth and we had permission to operate within 7 days. I also noted that when the city electrical inspector came, he made a few positive comments about the system, referring to the way that Earth Right does their installs - he apparently sees all different companies' stuff and really appreciates Earth Right's work.

In addition to the solar, we also had some efficiency work done and that was just as professionally handled. We had our old attic insulation sucked out, new insulation blown in and a radiant shield and an attic fan added to the attic. All of that was wonderfully handled by great crews. There was a concern at one point that there may have been some asbestos material in our attic, so work halted until it got tested, which Earth Right paid for (they didn't have to do that, so thanks to them). During that pause of a few days we had a couple of conversations with Mr. Argentino, the owner of the business, and he was extremely helpful and communicated openly and clearly on the status of things.

I know solar can be a bit scary because there are some janky, unethical companies out there since it is a relatively new area. That's where Earth Right stands out - you won't find a better group of people with super high business ethics. We've had a lot of work done on our house in the past year by various contractors, and Earth Right has been the easiest and most pleasurable to work with BY FAR!

From my initial contact with Matt thru the entire installation my experience was positive. Matt clearly answered my questions and assisted me thru the purchase. The crew arrived and upgraded my attic insulation barrier and installed a solar powered fan and sealed all my wall penetrations prior to the actual installation of the panels and wiring. All were done very quickly and professionally. I have always gotten quick responses from the employees at Earth Right so I would highly rate and endorse them.

We got in contact with Arron Darnell to inquire about getting solo at put on our house. We had met with him a couple times to ask questions and get a quote. While meeting with him we ran into his boss Corey one day. They both looked over information we had for Solor and realized they could save us a significant amount of money to do some energy savings assessment on our over 100 year house. Corey took the time to look at our unique situation and find us a way to save tens of thousands of overall money. They are not only in the business to sell solor but to also do it the proper way and save you money. We felt it was not all about profits but taking care of our needs with out selling us more expensive options we did not need. Definitely contact them if you want to be treated respectfully and not as a number to make money.

Matt Kime started the ball rolling for us, and the process was easy to understand, even highlighted by a visit to the showroom to see in person what was going to be happening to our house. Once the contract was signed, things moved right along with getting the various papers signed and then materials were staged and installed. Matt Kime started our adventure into solar with an opportunity to better our position in the housing market. Even though we have no plan to sell now, our home is now providing power. A future sale of this house will no doubt be quick and no electric bill will be one of those reasons to buy. The team of installers were curtious, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Moreover, their attention to detail and clean work site should be envied. My final inspection still needs to happen before we start producing power, but it looks amazing and the team made sure we knew everything that was going on. So far the work and service have been great. (It has been about 4 months since installation.) My power is now entirely covered, and I am paying less each month. I can monitor the system with an app, which is nice. And the people there also contact me from time to time to make sure things are in order. Matt Klime in particular was very helpful in negotiating and putting the package together for me. I am very pleased!

This is an excellent company, top down, and we are lucky to have them here in Lynchburg. We added panels to an older system, and the ERE team came out and put them up quickly and competently. They respected my wishes for an aesthetically pleasing arrangement, so it even looks good. The team was delightful, with experienced members. Corey was very helpful seeing this project through many changes, his flexibility and understanding are unusual in the business world. They also got our older Envoy system up and running again, so we can track our production. Going solar should be on everyone's radar, and so should Earth Right Mid Atlantic!

edit 2/6/24- Earth Right is a good company and they are very easy to work with; however our experience with solar has not been what we expected after having it for over a year. We still have a significantly high electric bill during the winter months on top of making a payment so we are still looking at $500+ a month. We are now 18 months into having solar and have run into some confusion regarding the tax credit. The information provided during the initial sales pitch was misleading and now our payment will be going up, which is less than ideal. Earth Right recognized this and connected us with other programs that would increase energy efficiency in our home and we are thankful for that.

Two months ago we were informed that we would receive a referral credit for referring a family member. Cody stopped by to "check in" one day and gave us a "golden ticket" which increased the referral payout. I asked if we could use the golden ticket for the referral we had already made and was told yes. After 6 weeks we followed up about the referral $$ and were informed that because the residence had been canvased and they received a flier from Earth Right first we had become ineligible for the referral via text message. This was unprofessional and the only reason our family member decided to get the solar panels was because of talking directly to us, not from a conversation on his lawn and a flier.

If you are choosing Solar, choose Earth Right Mid-Atlantic! Such an informative and easy process. They are straight forward and fantastic to work with from the sales to installation to getting the system up and running. Such a seamless and pleasant experience! Will update with our savings.
Update: system is working great! Staff has been informative when I’ve had questions. Our electric bill has been cut in half(it’s winter with shorter sun days) and I expect starting in Spring to have no bill. Also waiting for first SREC payment.

They are a very hard working, and great to work with Company. Sometimes it seems they try a little too hard. They have so many eager employees that sometimes it is hard to figure out who you need to talk to. The good part is that no matter who you call, they will get you to the correct person! After several weeks, the laborers came back to complete the job. Unfortunately, their work looks nothing like the images that were presented to me during the proposal. None of the insulation is tucked into the walls or the crawlspace floor. There are no tight seams, only loose sections of insulation. Furthermore, I never received the attic scuttle door cover or the water heater jacket that were in the contract.

Matt kime was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions very professionally. He has made himself available if ever there is a need to reach out to him even after the install was done . The entire staff of Earth right made the whole process easy. I Highly recommend them.

I visited Earth Right Mid-Atlantic’s showroom which is a site to see especially if you’re curious about solar and how it works. Brent Raub walked me around and explained in detail how it works and all that they do. By the time it was over Brent and myself went into the conference room and talked. He asked if there were any questions that I needed to ask. Everything sounded so great (lowering my electric bill) so I signed the contract. Excited about saving money. Go check them out, you can’t lose.

Brent Raub was the first person I came in contact with , he explained to me and my wife the breakdown of the project, and the numbers on how I would save money . This company is excellent at what they do and their customer service is top notch. It is because of Energy Consultant Matt Kime that I made the decision to go Solar. He was very knowledgeable, patient, transparent, and persistent. Also, I was able to get a completely free brand new HVAC system with a smart thermometer installed through their Weatherization Program. Also, Tim the manager of the Weatherization was nice and made sure things were done correct. They have a great Weatherization team that came out and ensured excellence! Lastly, if you want free money from this company start referring some people right away:) Earth Right Mid-Atlantic you rock!!

Most recent update: we are actively working on solutions to make it all right. We are still in process with things but I have every confidence that the initial setbacks will be a blip in the big picture. We've been very pleased with the communication and efforts made.

Update: Within hours of posting this review, the owner contacted us and we are working on finding a solution to these issues. Will edit/update once things are settled.

I really want to like them. I have their panels and have since last December. The panel installation was great. Their sales guy seemed knowledgeable and wasn't pushy. Getting the attic door insulation was the biggest pain and took way more effort on our part than it ever should have. That could've been whatever, but we've been calling more than monthly since we got the panels installed to get someone to talk to us about our actual panels and the effectiveness of them. The idea is to store up credits during the sunnier months to not have a bill during that time and to help offset the electricity used in the winter months. We have not had even close to the production or whatever the right word is that the original quote promised. We've been calling and calling and getting the run around at every turn. Supposedly our contacts were moving and then we were shuffled to someone else. We are not falling through the cracks because we keep reaching out and are ignored. We went with earthright because of its reviews and the fact they're a local company that promised better customer service than the bigger names. They promised follow up when we've reached out and it's never ever happened. I want to stop being ignored and to see earthright live up to what they've promised. Right now I'm really disappointed and would not recommend earthright. I hope they change my mind and I can update this review, but I won't hold my breath.

We love our current electric bill! We have had solar panels for 3 months now and love the return. I marked it 3 stars because unfortunately it seems like they are professional, polite, quick to respond...up until you sign. Now it takes several days to respond and then it takes awhile for something to get taken care of....I'm currently still waiting and it's been about 2 months with multiple emails, phone calls, and in person meetings.

Update...they eventually took care of my issue (app communication issue)....still loving the low electric bills

In the beginning i have no complaints. The quote for the system is what was expected. The update of the progress was good. The install went ok until connecting to solar edge. The contractor had a hard time getting the connection via cell signal. The communication issue has since been resolved. It was hard wired from my router to my inverter. I am very pleased with the end result. I will say this is no fault of installer, the real issue was with solar edge inverter using a cell signal for communication.
The system is preforming as expected.
Would i use earth right mid Atlantic again in the future. The answer is yes i would and i recommend them to anyone that is thinking about going solar.

The team was very prompt to our questions, needs and concerns. They displayed thoroughness and followthrough. The team was very professional. We have been very happy with them. We have three places where we got solar panels placed in three different locations.
