I can’t say enough about this company. My cedar roof looks brand new. Bill and Cam arrived when they said they would. The job was completed as advised. When I had questions afterwards Dave returned my calls immediately. Bill has been back twice to check things out. I totally recommend Cedar Roof’s.

The owner of the company sold me a vehicle on Craigslist lied through his teeth and swore absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle turned out to have huge amounts of engine oil leaks and a lot of problems, dealing with court procedures now but would definitely not recommend dealing with this guy in general.

Amazing service from Dave and his team at Cedar Roofs. After a major clean (11hrs!) and protective coating it's like night and day. It looks like a completely new roof. Highly recommended.

I have leaky sunroof. Cedar Roofs came and repair. They recommend color change for same price. I said fine. They changed the color alright. But sunroof leaks again after 1 heavy rain. I told them about the issue, but they never responded. I had to file complaint to BBB in order to get their attention. Now, I know what they wanted me to change my roof color. So that they can show to BBB that they did the work on my roof. But, my sunroof still leaks.
Also beware, they don't like giving receipt, probably for tax evasion purposes.

Our roof was WAY more work to clean than anticipated but they stayed committed to the job and price and cleaned up inches of muck all around the house. The roof looks brand new for a 30+ old roof! Highly recommended.

I have decided to edit my initial review and am changing the rating to 4. Even though it took a while, I did get the warranty transferred today. Also, the company confirmed that the leak had been fixed under warranty back in December, when the previous owners still lived in the house. I just wish the company reps contacted us sooner to let us know what was going on.

They clean my cedar roof and then guard it. Still unfinished job on the back and they told me that they will send someone. I am still waiting for someone to come. Overall not bad and I am satisfied from their service, but they can be better. I phoned the manager that my gutter is leaking or water is over flowing so I hope they will send someone to fix. I am recommending to take their service.

Cedar Roofs Only is a house saver for me. My furnace company put a vertical vent in for new furnace causing a leak, fixed quickly by CRO.

From the start I found the estimator to give an honest assessment of my roof. Rather than say I needed a new roof, they fixed it for a fraction of the price! I got referred to Cedar Roofs Only by a friend who they did an asphalt conversion for. My friend is a renovator and he knows quality when he see's it. With them being in business for 28 years I felt very confident they will be there if a warranty issue came up. Thanks again to a very friendly crew. I will definitely recommend you!

I would give a zero star rating for this company. The guy who owns or runs this business is extremely rude and is a poor businessman. He is a narcissist and treats his employees horribly. He doesn't pay his employees instead tells them to ask the customer to pay them. He is never seen on the jobsite instead hires retired roofers to do his work for him. Be very careful with this guy as he is a mma fighter and is gods gift to the world. Awful awful person and business.

We recently had our cedar roof cleaned and treated with a preservative. The crew, headed by Enricque, worked diligently and effectively. Great effort was made to ensure that we were satisfied with the finished product. The finished colour of the roof was important to us and Enricque ensured that we were happy with the result.

What are you talking about? You came to see the damage of the roof due to the leak and told my mum that she has to wait till rainy day to see if the leak is due to your workmanship.

They did a great job on my roof. On time.
The A+ Rating on the better business bureau made it an easy choice.And I personally know the owner.

If you have a cedar shake roof, this is the only company to deal with. Every one of the other companies that I got a quote from held themselves out as professional roofers, which I am sure they were, but they wanted to change the whole roof even though it was only 17 years old and had only leaked once.
Thank goodness I happened upon Cedar Roofs. Henry from Cedar Roofs came and had a look . He told me that he only only does cedar roofs ( for the past 13 years, I think) and said the roof was in excellent condition and needed less than 50 shakes to be replaced. They replaced those shakes, added a dozen shims, power washed it and added a preservative.

The roof looks new. All the wavy warped shakes are gone and power washing and preservative makes the roof look new. And they gave a 7 year guarantee but Henry said the roof is good for another 10-20 years. They were very prompt, responsive, knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
I never write reviews but these guys deserve a good review because the roofing industry appears to have some questionable practices. I note some weird comments about the owner and his practices and 1 star ratings.
I don't get what that is about because these guys are nothing but professional. If it weren't for them I would have spent $40,000 on a new roof I didn't need. All I can say is thank goodness there are businesses like Cedar Roof around because you obviously need expertise to assess how badly a roof is damaged and its would be very easy to mislead a customer.
Also my neighbour warned me about the preservative that is sprayed on. He said the company that did his cedar roof got the preservative all over their windows. Didn't happen with mine. Why, because at the lower levels of the roof near the gutters, the Cedar Roof guys used a brush rather than the spray gun.

They used to be good, but not anymore. A few years back, I was sold a refurbished roof. (Some re-shingling where needed, a chemical cleaning, and a 7-year no leak guarentee). This was BEFORE they were purchased by the company that now owns them.

One thing in particular was the roofer telling me that small tin plates that had been inserted instead of proper tiles were bad and should be replaced. This is because the tin being hammered up under existing tile can tear the tar paper under the shingles and cause problems. I was happy with that explanation.

I recently had a clogged gutter, and having been warned about how crazy slippery ceader roofs can get I decided to pay these guys to come clean the gutters.

The people came while i was at work and sent me a email with a quote for how much it would be to repair the roof. I replied with "Oh well it's a good thing i Have my guarantee", and their response was, "Nope not covered".

In all fairness, I go, okay, well we'll call this regular maintenance so i went ahead and paid them to repair the roof. When they came down from the roof I noticed some issues, and asked for pictures. They showed me pictures of their tin inserts, and I was a bit shocked. Their response was, it's just fine.

A few days go by and the next time it rains i notice the gutters just as clogged as ever. Despite them having charged me for cleaning.

I wrote a complaint and got no response. By sheer co-incidence I was working from home and heard noises. They were back (without appointment or approval) on the roof, and they had a power washer. I asked the workers what they were doing, and they said, "we're suppose to clean this corner"... Just the corner i was complaining about.

I asked them if they had cleaned the rest of the gutters last time they were here and they said "We were never told to", then i asked why they were here, and they were instructed to go in and out quickly.

Frustrated, I told them about the cleaning and the workers were happy to clean the whole gutters as long as i didn't tell the boss they did.

All in all, some company purchased this company from a honest guy, and now it's a scamming company. Too bad because they were going to be my go-to for roof replacement.

Cedar Roofs Only did a great job of our roof, after 2 years we are still very happy with the results. The roofing crew that came out were very courteous and professional.

Henry from CRO did a great job on pressure washing our roof and installing new ridge caps and treating the roof. Added 7 to 10 years to a 20 year old roof. Also repaired a leak. I highly recommend them.

Cedar Roofs only did a fantastic job on my already 20 year old roof! It now looks like new and they have given an 8 Year warranty on their work! I highly recommend them...actually did so to my neighbour and he is also very happy with Cedar Roof's work!

Have had my old roof treated probably extended the life of it for 10 years at least. When I finally needed a new roof Cedar Roofs did the job at the best price. The quality was excellent and clean up was spotless at the end with no damage to my landscaping. It was always easy to contact the crew and they always got right back to me even on weekends. My parents had their roof treated as well about 7 years ago now, still looks excellent and will get at least 30 years out of the roof due to treating. If you want a top quality job done by a company that stands behind their product I highly recommend Cedar Roofs Only.

I am truly surprised by some of the comments below, so simply had to respond. We have been dealing with Dave and his team for more than 10 years now and they have been excellent. Our home used to have a 50 year-old cedar roof, which we could not yet afford to replace. The guys from Scholten's came out every few years to inspect and patch the roof at extremely affordable rates. We even experienced a huge leak and Dave came out personally over the week-end to lend a hand. When the time came for a new roof, we did not even consider asking other quotations as we wanted to work with people who knew and who cared about us (Subsequently, I have compared prices and there is simply no way that we would have been able to get the same quality roof for the price Scholten's had provided.) The short of it is is that our new roof is now a year old and, despite the worst weather conditions we have experienced on the North Shore in 20 years, the Scholten's roof has stood up to the punishment perfectly ... I was in the ceiling this week to install new lights and there is not a sign of any moisture anywhere. We have a ten year guarantee and true peace of mind. If you value personalised service, look no further. Dave is a stand-up guy who has always come through for us.

When cleaning and treating the wood roof, they were able to take photos of areas of my roof that needed repair. Glad that got fixed before the rains started again.
