Extremely competent and professional from start to finish. Highlights: 1. Careful job analysis and bid preparation. 2. Very small down payment required as opposed to up to 50% by others. 3. Crew of 8 began arriving 15 min before schedule! 4. Gutter-hung draping protected all shrubbery close to house. 5. Every crew member knew exactly what was expected and in what order. 6. Cleanup included use of roller magnets around foundation and blowing entire property, including garage! Couldn't have been more impressed!

We recently had to replace our roof and chose Cascade Roofing. We were very impressed with the entire process. The crew was very considerate, professional, and very easy to work with. They also did some custom work to prepare for new gutters. We were very pleased with the end product and the entire process. Communications were great. The site was left clean when done. I have no complaints. You cannot go wrong with Cascade Roofing.

Starting with Daniel on the bid, the whole crew was spot on in knowledge, friendliness, always on time, and they cleaned up the yard at the end of each day.

It went well. They brought in a crew of 5 to 7 guys and completed the job in less than two days. The sales rep, office staff, and roofing crew were all great.

Nels and the crew are phenomenal. From the bidding process to the actual work, they were professional, punctual, and transparent. Nels was the only roofer who answered his phone when we called for bids. He was upfront about timing. When he did appear to give an estimate, he was detailed but not to a point where he was being a pushy salesperson. We called about eight companies to ask questions and only four actually returned our calls and came out to do the bid. One of them never submitted a written bid. His actual bid was incredibly detailed yet easy to follow. He provided really helpful documents to help us understand the whole process and answer numerous questions we didn't even know we had. He checked out with CCB and reviews on the internet. He scheduled us quickly and within a month, we had a gorgeous new composite roof. His crew was so fast, professional, and pleasant. Within three days, everything was complete, just as he promised and pretty close to his original estimate (within dollars). We had one small issue with a hole but it was patched up quickly. We hardly noticed that they were working on our roof during those three days. All the crew members were hard-working and pleasant. We've had many rainy days since early October, and the roof is holding up well. We cannot emphasize how professional, detailed, and wonderful this company is. We would use them again. They were not the most expensive but they were not the cheapest. However, you get what you pay for. Extremely high quality company with high quality work to back them up.

Left my garage roof open to the rain and I was up there at midnight in heavy downpour trying to tarp it. Did not replace all the metal hardware on the roof as they promised. Rebuilt part of roof but it was so uneven they had to do it again. Now a few years later one of the sheathing (plywood) seams is leaking because they used the wrong thickness for replacement. Just a terrible job and a terrible experience.

Cascade Roofing did a spectacular job of replacing my roof which was 22 years old and in bad shape. They were courteous and knowledgeable in the bid process, told me exactly what they would do and kept me up to date on time of installation. During the project they let me know if any sheeting needed replacing (two small spots that had started to rot) and worked fast. They also replaced all my old vents. The 2.5 day project took 1.5 days and the yard was left almost spotless. I would highly recommend them (and have) to anyone who wants a high quality roof. Love the look of it, especially the way they did the ridges!

These folks were phenomenal! I was on a tight budget for my garage roof project. Their quote was competitive and the estimating process was smooth. They did a great job on the roof and honestly left my yard cleaner than it was to start. I feel they really went above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

Cascade Roofing replaced our roof last summer and did a terrific job. Their bid was slightly higher than some others I received, but after some back and forth with a few questions I had it was clear they knew what they were doing and would deliver a high quality result. We were not disappointed! The new roof looks great, they repaired some minor sagging sections and rotting decking, and I can feel confident knowing our roof is now in great shape. They are ethical and stand by their quality work. We noted one window screen was damaged after the roof work, and they quickly arranged replacement for us. Terrible experience. Creepy older guy came to my place for a quote, stepped in my living room and started looking around asking who lives in the house. He then sees a picture of my wife and makes a comment about her attractiveness. I was stunned or I probably would kicked him out right then. Their quote was $7k above the next highest quote as well.

Last year I selected Cascade Roofing to inspect and then replace my roof in Portland. I had used them to replace another roof a few years ago and they did a great job. This time I made just one call to Cascade for this job because of the great job they did on my previous house.

When Cascade Roofing removed the old asphalt shingles they uncovered significant damage due to a troubles with the previous roofing 18 years ago. Their work was spectacular and they kept me informed as they continued to uncover the hidden and unexpected damage so that there was no surprise. They also provided photographs of what they found which really was a nice touch. They took the time to clean-up diligently and left the property in great shape. We are very satisfied, their work is top notch.

We have a top-notch roof now - vented and solidly constructed. We didn't know what we were missing.

Cascade reroofed my home. They installed a new plywood deck and Malarkey shingles. My home looks 100% better. They replaced the ugly mushroom vents with a great looking ridge vent. The job was done in three days. And the cost was reasonable. There workers were pleasant to work with. And they cleaned up 100% of the debris. This company is the best.

I have an old roof that I knew had issues going into the project and even so Cascade Roofing completed the job within the estimated time. We had an awesome experience with Cascade Roofing. We had a 3 layer tear off and needed all new sheeting and roofing . The estimator came out and told us what to expect, they were competitive.

During installation the crew was clean and respectful of the property and they worked very hard to clean up from the huge tear off we had. The property was kept spotless. They worked hard every day to minimize our disruption. It was like watching a well oiled machine…they had a system in place for everything. Tarps to haul off the old and systems for adding the sheeting and roof. It was completely done in 3 days!!! They had 8 people working on our roof. It was incredible. Highly recommend!

After receiving bids from four contractors, I selected Cascade Roofing Portland. Though they were not the least expensive, they were competitive. My neighbor used them a year ago and was very pleased.

The whole process with Cascade was professional, helpful, no high pressure and top notch quality from the sales on through to installation and clean-up. They replaced the roof using their own team and did a GREAT job! They finished the roof in one day.

The only thing they subcontracted was the guttering which they disclosed from the beginning. The subcontractor however is one they have used for years and the only one they use. Great working relationship and communication between the two companies.

2017: Not the lowest bid in town, but If you want top-quality craftsmanship and customer service you can count on, give them the job. They employ their own crew, not fly-by-night guys, and they treat them right. The result is beautiful work, good old-fashioned service, and a roof you can be proud of. They have a way of letting you know they appreciate your business too. I can honestly say 4 years later, I am extremely happy with my roof!
2022 update: I sold my house and the warranty was transferable to the buyers! Carolyn was so helpful all those years later when I couldn’t find my paperwork, she was glad to help! top notch from beginning to end!

Cascade Roofing provided us the best value for our roof replacement. They provided additional contractors to replace our gutters, repair soffits and barge boards, fixed insulation that covered existing vents, and installed a solar tube in addition to replacing our skylight, making the process so simple for us. Our new roof is gorgeous. We receive lots of compliments on it. Cascade is not the cheapest way to go, but definitely the best value. The staff are professional and hard working. We could not be more pleased.

I highly recommend Cascade Roofing. I have had roofs on 3 different houses replaced with composite shingles in the past 5 years. Two of these roofs need extensive structural repairs. Cascade Roofing did it all and did a fantastic job. Francisco and his crew's carpentry and roofing work is first class. The last roof they did for me they even primed the exposed face boards and plywood overhangs, without my asking. This is not the cheapest roofing company, but their work is top quality and worth the differential.

The main reason we hired these roofers is because the warranty they offer. Hopefully we'll never need to use it, but if we do it's good to know we're backed by a roofing company that's been around in Portland for over 50 years. Two thumbs up!

After doing a bunch of research, we selected Cascade for our roof replacement project after receiving probably a half-dozen bids from other companies. Cascade was not the cheapest (nor the most expensive), but they really exceeded our expectations at every step of the way & we wound up with a stunning new roof that has totally enhanced the curb appeal of our home. I was very interested in improving our (deficient) attic/roof ventilation in order to moderate our upstairs temperatures & cooling costs during the warmer months - Cascade stood out as far as their ability to discuss potential approaches to address these concerns up-front. Daniel (sales rep) was outstanding throughout the process & was clearly focused on getting the details right in order to ensure our complete satisfaction. Installation was a breeze with their 7-8 man crew (all Cascade employees) knocking out our project in just 2-1/2 days while leaving our property looking better than it did before they started!

Bottom-line is that I would not hesitate to recommend Cascade for anyone that plans on being in their home for any length of time. There are cheaper roofing companies out there for sure, but I doubt there are many (any?) with a greater focus on quality - well done, guys!

Our roof was leaking pretty bad and with the rainy season coming, we thought we had better have our roof replaced. We called numerous roofing companies and we settled with Cascade Roofing. When Nels came to our house, he was honest and unlike the others, he took the time to explain in every detail what we would expect.
The work crew was very professional and always on time. The foreman took the time to explain everything that he was doing. From start to finish, everything worked like clockwork. You could tell the work crew cared about their product and took every step to ensure my experience was excellent. During the process, they discovered I had some poor ventilation from the attic and without a worry, they fixed my problem even when it wasn't in the bid.
When my roof was finished, Nels (the owner) even came by to ensure everything had met my expectation. This company not only made me a happy customer, I felt as if I were part of their crew. I would highly recommend Cascade Roofing over any other.

Great company to deal with. They did exactly what they promised in a single day. Replaced all the sheeting since the old stuff had black mold on it; followed up with some nice architectural shingles. I particularly appreciated the fact that the guys protected the plants that were around our house, plus our heat pump. After all the work was done, they used a rolling magnet all around the house to make sure any stray nails were out of our yard and away from our one and three-year-old boys. Thanks so much for all the super effort!

UPDATE: I've since had Cascade work on our second house, and their work was again superior. Arturo (foreman) explained everything that he was doing, and went beyond what was promised. He and his crew installed new roof vents since the current bath fans weren't even hooked up. They even noticed that the chimney wasn't properly sealed around the flashing, so they cleaned that out and sealed it properly.

Overall, their work is excellent and they DON'T cut corners. A+ work yet again.

Not the cheapest contractor out there, but the best roofing contractor I've ever seen. The work of tearing off my roof, replacing weak and/or damaged sheeting, installing premium three-tab roofing and cleanup all in one day was remarkable. What else can I say? Oh, I did find one spent roofing nail from the tear off in my lawn. But they got all the rest!

I again was impressed with Cascade Roofing and the professional job they did on our roof. A great group of guys who care about their work and it shows! I love how the crew took the initiative to correct drainage issues on the roof, located and replaced plywood that was faulty and fixed some trim that was not up to par! I also appreciated the way Nels communicated with my wife and me through the process. Very thorough and personable!

Called for estimate. The guy says " we don't do residential repair". Ok, how about a quote replacing it? "Well...I'm looking at the house on google and it's too tall ! " ? I tell him, it's the carport I want done ! "
" Well, it's too small ! " Cheese-n-rice these guys tried their hardest to "not" want to look at this job.

Cascade Roofing were very professional and prompt in responding to my call. Though they declined to replace our roof due to it's dangerous slope and height with walkout basement, they offered to sit down with me and review all the other roofing estimates I received to offer their input on what type of ventilation is needed to what type of shingle is preferred. I am so appreciative of their time and honesty.

Clayton with Cascade looked at our roof several years ago & bid the cost of replacement; however he told us we did not need a new roof yet - we had a few good years left with the existing one. He was straight with us, did not pressure us to buy a roof we did not need. So in January when we thought we had a problem we called Cascade - on a weekend! - and got a person! I was amazed. Clayton came here again; turned out there was no leak, but the time had come for replacement and he quoted the job. We contacted two other companies for bids as well; the bids were comparable. We accepted Cascade's bid and waited for spring. Materials were delivered on Friday, & on Monday at 8 am the crew arrived to start work. Friendly, hard-working, competent, safe, and considerate guys. (Oh and Carolyn in the office is so nice to deal with!) It took them a day and a half to tear off the old and replace with new, which is what was quoted. When they were done, our property was scrupulously cleaned up - not a nail to be found. And they sent a thank-you gift as well! We are so pleased with Cascade & would recommend them to anyone!

Nels Goranson made a thorough inspection of the roof before giving an estimate of costs, which he explained in detail. The crew was well organized and careful to protect the property. In addition, the crew was efficient and completed the job in a timely manner. We were very impressed by the clean-up job. This is an excellent roofing company.

I am most impressed Cascade Roofing. Their quality of work, speed, price, and attentiveness to detail are all outstanding. During the consultation prior to submitting a bid, they carefully laid out our choices, associated costs, as well as their recommendations. The day they showed up, they came ready to rock and roll with a large, completely self-sufficient and self-contained crew. We have a medium large two-story house with very steep roofs. In two days they were done, including replacing a few water damaged pieces of plywood. The job they did was truly outstanding. In addition, they agreed to roof a large new attached shed I had yet to build. Six months later, when I was near completion, they provided consultation as to how best manage the attachment to the house. They completed the roofing in one day to the same high quality standards as the rest of the house. I highly recommend Cascade Roofing!

I just hung up the phone with Cascade Roofing. They replaced our roof several years ago and we were so impressed we called them to evaluate the roof on our current home. After going back and forth with the receptionist, she confirmed that no one would come out to inspect our roof because "we do not provide that service." Unbelievable. Their service has obviously changed for the worse.

I'm not easily impressed but when my mothers home needed a new roof 2,000 miles away in Portland, Cascade Roofing was as good as their reviews. The project was coordinated and executed flawlessly. This is not a typical construction company, at least not one I have ever dealt with. I only wish I lived in Oregon so I could use them for my house as well. I highly recommend Cascade Roofing.
