Very pleased with the service from start to finish with Capstone Waterproofing Solutions. Our initial communication we were pleased with the friendliness and the ease to schedule an appointment. The inspection of our property was a thorough review of our problem area, which included a detailed explanation of the possible solution. We promptly received a detailed quote. The scheduled day for the work to be performed, the company arrived on time, very professional, protected the surrounding area from dust/debris and kept us abreast of their actual findings while performing the work. At first they were very cordial. Had a nice chat with the office scheduler. Then an estimator reached out to me. I sent them videos of my basement. Then silence. A few days later they reached back and said they would have to come see the basement. They then randomly said if a Monday was available without asking me what my schedule could accommodate. Then silence. I texted. I emailed. I called. Nothing back. Very unprofessional. Fortunately I was able to avoid this company as clearly this was a sign of things to come. You should do the same.

When the weather forecast snow he let me know ahead of time to reschedule so that things wouldn't be rushed and done improperly. Joe and Mr. Jones are great guys and they really know their stuff. They were very patient with all of our questions and concerns and open and upfront about any suggestions or recommendations as the project proceeded. I am well pleased with the work and how organized and clean they kept their materials as part of their daily workflow. I also liked that everything from the contracts to daily photos of the work being done could all be accessed via an online portal that was simple and easy to navigate. It was March 2023 when I realized that the drainage system around my home I purchased in 2021 was doing everything other than moving the water away from foundation. I spoke with my broker and she told me that she had heard of company called Capstone…and she forwarded me the info…I am forever grateful that Joe and Capstone exist!

Joe got back to me quickly after my initial call and was so reassuring and help to calm my fears, as I was certain that my next step was being condemned. I was able to send photos and videos of what I was experiencing even before he came out for a site visit. I was SO nervous about price based on what I had heard from friends who had to similar work done by other companies. But once again Joe eased my fears, as he broke my very reasonable estimate up into two phases, the first to mitigate the immediate need to get the water away from my home and the second to assess the interior and get my basement protected properly.

The process leading up to the work beginning set the tone for the entire job, as Joe, Mr. Claude and the entire team were professional, timely, courteous and thorough throughout the entire time they were at my home. They even indulged my nosey need to know personality, and happily explained to me what they were doing and why, so that I could sleep easy again the next time it rained. :-) The team kept things tidy the entire time they were on site, and hit the ground running until quitting time each day. They respected my home when they needed to come inside (even putting the toilet seat back down without being asked lol), and clearly take a great deal of pride in their work.

This type of work can initially seem quite daunting and is not cheap, but you get more than your money’s worth with Capstone… And at the end of the day there really isn’t a price to put on the safety of your home and/or the health of you and your family.

I just want to thank Joe and CJ the project managers/engineer for the fantastic job the did on my garage, sub pump and drainage system, also for educating me on the sloppy job and short cuts the builder took when building my house.

I wish I had known about Capstone and had gotten their services years ago. We've been dealing with water issues in our cemented crawl space for years now. If you're in the unfortunate situation of needing a company to waterproof your basement, your search can stop right here. After the last heavy rainfall and having to wet vac my basement again, I knew I had to do something because I'd still be dealing with the problem. Basement flooded everytime it rained only to come to find out that my sump pump was not working. Because I am in the process of remodeling my home my contractor suggested I go with Capstone. Can I say that was the best option ever. Joe came by to asset the issue and provided me detailed information on what needed to be done. I was experiencing water issues in the basement unit of my duplex. Capstone came in to do an assessment and conducted a complete analysis using tools to detect moisture and a skilled visual inspection.

They gave me a recommendation and an estimated price. Then followed up with an itemized estimate that came in lower after actual materials costs were calculated.

Work was done to waterproof walls and install a sump pump with a backup battery for outages. They even have an app where they document progress and store invoices along with other important messages.

I could write a long detailed story about how Joe of Capstone waterproofing was the lowest price of 4 quoted contractors. I could go on and on about how he answered multiple phone calls from me whenever another contractor told me something they would do and I wasn't sure if Capstone did it. And in case you are wondering..yes Capstone waterproofing did everything the others did.
I could rave about Mr. Claude Jones, DJ and the rest of the crew about how they took care in keeping the area presentable when they wrapped for the day.
I could even show multiple pictures of some of the cleanest and professional work I've seen. And I could sum it up and write how once I knew what hydrostatic pressure was and Joe posed the question "If we just seal the cracks, what do you think will happen with the water?". He was the only one to ask a damn good question.
All I will write is this.
I didn't have chase Joe down, he did what he promised in the time promised. I don't know if there are better waterproofing companies. But I know its not many.

I just want to let you know if you want an awesome company to do your water proofing please give Capstone Waterproofing a call. I thought I had mold in my home so I started spraying with bleach. A couple of days later I started to sweep the wall and noticed it was crumbling and I knew it was water damage. I immediately started to call waterproofing companies. Most had a great talk game but the prices were outrageous. So my last call was to Capstone WaterProofing. I was so impressed by his demeanor and his professionalism. I even had my son sit in on my meeting because I was worried about getting ripped off. Long story short this company was so professional, punctual, and clean. When they left I didn't have to lift a finger to clean anything up. Their staff always showed up on time and got the job done. We discovered water in the basement thinking the origin was a crack in the foundation, so we contacted Capstone. Everyone was extremely professional from the first phone call through the consult and assessment. Joe called prior to arriving and arrived right on time. After a thorough assessment, he patiently explained what he discovered and answered my many questions. The issue was not a waterproofing issue, but he did make some recommendations on how to proceed with our issue. He also shared some maintenance tips and other useful information. Joe was extremely professional and provided excellent customer service.

I can not recommend this company highly enough. These guys worked so hard every day to put in the best waterproofing system. Despite how messy of a job it is, they cleaned up every day and took great care of my house and yard. They wouldn’t leave until they let me know to lock the basement door, which really made me feel they cared about my well being. Joe, the owner, walked me through the whole process and pivoted when issues came up that they couldn’t have predicted before starting. This is a 10/10 company.

My basement flooded due to the heavy rain that occurred in my area for two straight days. The cause was due to a broken sump pump. I called CAPSTONE and they got back to me right away and was able to send someone out the very next morning. They were prompt and professional. I called Joe of Capstone to have a sump pump replaced in my mother in law’s home. The sump pump wouldn’t shut off, and the motor was over heating creating steam in the sump pit. I know as a licensed home inspector, that this is a red flag and the sump pump is failing. Out of all days, this happens when we have been having non stop rain.
Needless to say, the sump pump was not only replaced, but was upgraded to a more heavy duty pump. The service tech even corrected an issue with the back flow device I didn’t see. I have watched these guys on social media for years, and I knew that’s who I wanted to use to prevent our basement from flooding. Quick turnaround, I was told the tech would be at on the site at 8am, but by 8am, he already had the old pump out!!!! KUDOS TO JOE AND CAPSTONE Property Services Group LLC, for defying the stereotypes of black businesses. I will continue to refer and call when needed.
