From start to finish their system is very efficient. All personnel in the process were professional, thorough and friendly! We were particularly pleased with the installation crew and their attention to detail and precision. Our sliding patio door and bathroom casement window are beautiful, works great and the slider is fun to just look at!

We were having problems with our slider and it needed to be replaced. We talked with 3 companies, and Thompson Creek was our first choice. Their sales representative was knowledgeable and professional, and there was no high pressure involved. Our installer, Daniel, arrived this morning along his assistant. They proceeded with the installation efficiently and effectively. Later this afternoon, John - the installation consultant- came by to inspect the job, see if we had any additional questions and to make sure we were pleased. This has been a great experience from beginning to end!

My representative, Richie Anderson, was excellent from my first conversation and also during my in-person consultation. He arrived on time, was well prepared and extremely professional and knowledgeable about your services, available products and payment plan options. He represents your organization very well. In fact, in addition to purchasing an exterior door, I also decided to purchase a new storm door. I had a very positive experience and will definitely share my experience with others.

We had TCWC come out after we was supposed to meet another window company WN did not show up or call that was the best thing that happened TCWC came out on Saturday called before and was on time measured 13 windows and 1 steel entry door gave us a great price no interest for 18 months we agreed and the workmanship was unbelievable cleaned up and that was all THOMPSON CREEK WINDOW COMPANY did . Received a quote for over $10K+. I got three other quotes for under $1,000 for the same exact work. Not sure if this company sold out to private equity - but unless you have money to burn, make sure you get multiple quotes otherwise you will get ripped off x10.

I have Thompson Creek windows so didn’t hesitate to contact them for a new front storm door and a patio sliding glass door. Sales guy was on time and helpful and I know the customer service and warranty is very good.

We had all the windows in our house done in 2021 except for the basement windows by Thompson Creek, i had great service & great communication then. We just got our basement windows done last week, we had a horrible experience with them. Their communication is a two star the reason why I’m giving this rating. Workmanship was well done & professionally completed. I left a message for the project manager to call me back and left an email for another person no response. There was a big issue with the color that they messed up and now I’m stuck with the wrong color windows from their lack of communication. Do not use this company you will not be satisfied. Chris

Ordered 10 Windows and a double French door for the basement. Contractors installed on May 12th. When finished they were missing a part for the door. You could See light coming thru the middle of the door. Job supervisor return the following day and said it was fixed. But no, still light coming thru. Finally got a hold of someone but would need to wait to June 30th to get somebody out to “LOOK AT IT” They showed up took a few pictures and said should here something next few days, Next day get a email saying they’re glad that door was fixed. Nobody answers the phone you leave a callback number. They say they will get back to you within one business day.. I’ve left my Number about 5 to 6 times with no return call. No wonder they offer a lifetime warranty because they won’t Honor it. Buyer beware!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Thompson Creek was hired to do an entire house window replacement job. They left 9 windows unfinished on the exterior and did a sloppy job on the interior with caulking and painting. We have tried nonstop to contact them about finishing the job with zero response. There is no human interaction, just us leaving messages. It has been over two weeks, and to add insult to injury, they charged our bank account--unauthorized--the remaining balance for a completed job that is not complete. We are moving ahead with a fraud case and hope this serves as a warning to those interested in hiring Thompson Creek. Don't do it, it's been a stressful and sad experience.

Although I love my Thompson Creek windows, I have had a very frustrating experience with customer service and the Sales Rep who sold me the windows. One of the windows was cracked before installation, so they went ahead and installed it and taped over the crack. There was also a part in one of the windows that was not keeping the upper window in place when it was unlatched. The installer showed me both of these issues and assured me it would be taken care of. Weeks later, I contacted the company to see the status, because I had not heard from them. Sure enough, the window and replacement parts were there. I made an appointment for the following week. No one showed up. I tried multiple times to get in touch with the company and couldn't get through. Waiting for 15 minutes or longer on hold. I finally requested a call back. No one called back. I even tried to get in touch with the sales rep via text and phone. No response! I finally tried one last time after the weekend and was able to get through and schedule another appointment and was assured that all parts were ready to be replaced. The gentleman arrived, replaced the broken window, but didn't have the replacement part for the other window. He told me that no one told him about the other issue. He took all information to get the parts and told me someone would be in touch with me before 5:00 that day. No one called. This is not the customer service I was promised by the sales representative. Even though I am very pleased with the windows, I will not be recommending Thompson Creek to any of my friends because of the poor customer service.

The whole experience with Thompson Creek windows was 1st class..! From sales - tech evaluation- pre production evaluation- pre-install department and installers - everyone was first class I. Every way..! Thanks for a very smooth install..! And the windows are pretty good too.!

Thomson Creek installed 11 new windows and 2 new doors for us in 2024. The initial work was excellent and the new installation fully met our expectations. Since then, we have been trying for months to resolve a warranty issue with Thompson Creek and their follow on service does not even rise to the level of abysmal. A crack developed in one of our windows. We contacted Thompson Creek, sent them a picture of the cracked window, and they fabricated a new replacement window and sent a technician out to install the replacement window. Thompson Creek sent the wrong window, so the Technician was unable to install a replacement. Thompson Creek never contacted us after this visit to reschedule the service. After a protracted period of trying and trying to contact Thompson Creek, we finally were able to speak to a human being who checked the notes, and agreed that they needed to fabricate a new window and send someone out to install it. On the date of the scheduled installation, no one ever showed up in the four hour service window that they established. Once again, no one ever called us back to reschedule the service. After yet another protracted period of trying to contact someone, we were finally able to contact a human being and get the installation rescheduled. A technician showed up, took one look at the window, and told us that Thompson Creek had again sent the wrong window to be installed. Once again, Thompson Creek never contacted us about this third failed service attempt. We have been trying now for over 2 weeks to contact Thompson Creek, and this time we were not able to contact anyone at the company. No one answers the phone for their Project Coordination department. Their automated phone system offers to create a "call back request" for the first available person to call you back. No one ever calls you back. In short, I would never buy anything again from Thompson Creek.

The window quality is great. The installers did a really good job given that the install was a challenge. They came on time and were very professional. I am very happy with the look and installation.

The service from Thompson Creek was excellent initially, but everything changed once we signed the contract. Communication became a significant issue—no one answers the phone, returns calls, or follows up on inquiries.

Our installation date was pushed back by a month due to their miscommunication. On the day of installation, the crew complained about the heat while carelessly marching through my home in their shoes, without covers or care.

Furthermore, they failed to completely seal the basement window. I have made several attempts to reach out by phone and email, including sending pictures, yet I have received no response.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service provided and cannot recommend them to anyone.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience with this company. They have a great response time and we were able to set up all appointments quickly and with no hassle. And they were able to get us a custom door for less than other contractors. Would highly recommend and will use them again for future projects.

The installation of my new roof was made yesterday, the 26th of June. My roof was installed and christen in the same day with the herrendous storm we experienced last night.

I contacted three companies for estimates. Thompson Creek was the only one who was not aggressive in contacting me multiple times. Ben was an excellent salesman who took the time to relate to me and share anecdotes during the estimate appointment. I did not feel pressured to add on features that I did not need. The team arrived promptly at 8:00 am and completed the installation around 2:30 pm. The product appears to be excellent, as does the installation. Only time will tell. But the process was completely impersonal, with only text and generic, boilerplate, "to XXX family" (fill in the blank) emails before and after. A "rate my experience" text was received on the day of installation - when the entire house was in an upheaval, I had not even had a chance to look around, super hot day and AC units were sitting on the floor, I felt like I was in a fishbowl with all the window treatments removed and not able to be replaced until the caulk dried, everything was in disarray. I had not realized that I would not be able to even be in my house on the day of installation. So - where to go? I felt like I was alone on the day of installation and, of course, I was. The job was completed, the windows appear to be very nice, I paid my money, and that was the end. I would recommend Thompson Creek to others only if I could explain the entire process to them and let them know exactly what to expect - and what not to expect. The salesman and the men who did the measuring and installing were polite and seemingly very competent - but the rest of the process could have been AI for all I know.

The overall experience with Thompson Creek install team on 6/6/2025 was excellent. The team was punctual and the team leader took time to explain all that they were going to do on that day. Each installer was very respectful of the property. The installation of the windows and entry door was flawless. The cleanup went well, the team leader even took time to show my wife and I how to open, close, tilt and remove the windows for cleaning. In a time when customer service seems to have drastically hit rock bottom Thompson Creek is the Gold standard in service and ensuring customers are satisfied from beginning to end in the process. A text was sent this past Monday with an install window of 12-4 PM 4 Jun 2025. At 9:00 AM the doorbell rang. Two installers from Thompson Creek were here to install the windows. Because of the timeline given and no phone calls to say anything different my husband was not home. Thompson Creek states they will not take down curtains or shades in their paperwork. We had not finished doing that. When I was telling the installers our time said 12-4 PM and we hadn't finished removing the shades and I could not do it without my husband we all realized we had a communication problem. I do not speak their language, nor they are not fluent in mine. We started using Google translate to at least understand the issue on both sides.
They called someone and handed the phone to me. He asked me what the problem was, and I told him. He said the installers would take care of it and they did.
Throughout the installation we used Google translate to ask questions and get clarifications. I felt bad that these young guys were left on their own and communication between us was painful. I really feel they were done a disservice by the company. I could see they felt awkward, and it wasn’t their fault.
They worked hard and did a great job for us. After installation, a Thompson Creek truck pulled up. I told him what had happened, and he said a Project Manager should have been there the entire install and speaks both languages. We never had anyone else on sight, and I told him that. If anyone needs proof, I have cameras on the outside of the house. He was very professional and apologetic concerning this.
My concern and frustration is with management. These installers should never have been put in this position. Please pass to these guys they are not at fault for this rating, their manager is.

Positives… Experienced, locally made, affordable, and with a great warranty that transfers when we sell. No high pressure sales either, but having done our research we weren’t difficult to sell. Dealing with a Maryland company that provides a high quality product created for mid-Atlantic weather we knew what we wanted. Looking forward to seeing them installed.

Negatives… had an appt to have the windows measured and no one showed. Seems there was a miscommunication with the project mgr and no one followed up to make sure someone covered the appt. Customer service was very professional and researched what happened and got us rescheduled but still a disappointing occurrence.

This is my third project with Thompson Creek and am looking forward to my new patio doors! Great group of professionals to work with!

I had my door measurement completed today. The representative was very professional and courteous. He called to let me know he was 30 minutes out and explained the next steps in the process. I have used this company for a previous job and looking forward to another successful project.

I’m a returning customer of Thompson Creek, despite having previously decided not to use their services again. Upon reflection, I realized that my dissatisfaction stemmed from the challenges experienced during the pandemic—calls weren’t returned promptly, and installation updates were infrequent. But like many companies at the time, Thompson Creek was navigating unprecedented circumstances, and we were all adjusting to a new reality.

I’m glad I gave them another chance. I recently reached out again and was very pleased to see that Jeff is still a factory representative. His presence and professionalism reassured me that I made the right decision in coming back.

6 wks have gone by since they received HOA approval and there have been ZERO updates/communications. I had thought maybe someday things might turn around with this company and I’d increase the rating or remove the poor review. They continue to astoundingly disappoint.

Despite the platitudes, TC had all the info needed via email. Not only did I get asked for a down payment that was already paid, they continue to call and text a phone number they have been told a dozen times not to use. So far, no improvement.

Thompson Creek sent a reminder the day before a measurement appointment to both the cell number provided and email address provided. Yet, the morning of the appointment canceled by calling the one phone number they were specifically told NOT to call. Lost hours from work waiting for an appointment that wasn’t going to happen. Then, they don’t bother to respond to further communications until outside the contract cancellation window - how convenient for THEM.

Seriously regret signing this contract. Now the only way out is losing more money in arbitration. Severely undermined trust and confidence in this company. Instead of looking forward to this project, dreading it.

We are extremely satisfied with the work the install crew did. They are friendly, worked as a team with speed and skill. The slider door is beautiful and lets in more light then the French doors it replaced. It is a substantial door and the multi lock system gives you a sense of security. Thank you for a 5 star experience.

The sales representative was flexible and knowledgeable of the products offered. I had questions and on the ones he couldn't answer, he called his manager and had them answered. All in all I bought a new door.

Windows were installed by Philipe and his crew. They worked tirelessly to install 11 windows and a storm door. Everything looks beautiful. They removed the old windows and cleaned up very well. We are very pleased.

I love Bob Martin he's amazing. He made me feel very at ease with no pressure. Really gave me the opportunity to help me make a choice that's best for me in every way. He stayed way longer to walk through multiple price points options to see what the best package for me and my home would be. He walked me through the product, warranty, and financing options in detail so I knew exactly what to expect with whatever decision I went with.

This is my first time using Thompson Creek and I'm very pleased with there work, I had a roof replacement as well as patio door install and shudders, everyone one was very professional and easy going. Would like to thank Will Perna who was my salesman with all his help, he even contacted me to see how everything was going with the work, wasn't expecting that. There were a few small hiccups but everyone that I talked with was a big help, especially Ms. Chant'e Thompson who was my coordinator she followed up on every question I had and got all issues resolved. Thompson Creek came out to give a quote on replacing a broken window, a broken French door and siding quote. First guy was here maybe 30 mins, took all the pictures he said he needed and gave us a quote for the window and door. He needed a couple more days for the siding. Over a month and half later we still don’t have a siding quote. The one they gave us after 5-6 emails asking for it and almost a month after the first guy was here wasn’t even for my house. The quote had everything blacked out…. My name, my address…. Every detail to confirm it was my house. Their quote was $70000 higher than the next highest quote. When I asked about it they said it was wrong house and they would get back to me. They never got back. After the first guy came out a week later another guy came out to measure and now we needed a custom door for another $1000. I said no and they decided to eat the cost. Everyone knows that means there really wasn’t a $1000 extra for the door. They wanted more profit. 6 weeks later when they came to install everything they had the wrong window. They said they loaded the wrong one on the truck. Turns out that wasn’t right either. They have to order another one with another 3 week wait time. 2 people measured this window and both got it wrong? The door install went good. Works good, but fit and finish needs work. The screen sticks a little and the installer said that was normal. Strange in my almost 50 years on earth I’ve never seen one stick like this. There are dings and black scuff all over the molding that won’t come out. We are painting here soon so no big deal for us, but not great if it was supposed to be finished product. I also measured this custom door and I could of ordered it from several big box stores and gotten it in 2 days. The only positive I’ve seen is their customer service. The lady I dealt with called when she said so would and sent tons of emails trying to figure out what was going on. Between the massive mark up on products and all the miss steps I won’t use them again. I could of gotten the EXACT same stuff from the big box stores for less money and had it installed in half the time. In general Thompson Creek talks a good game, but follow through needs a whole lot of work.

Salesman Isiah Russell was great. He was polite & professional. He answered all questions. Made sure we understood the contract. He was very informative & helpful with helping design the windows & doors.
Brett came today and did the measurements. He was professional and pleasant.

Update: the install day was excellent, the crew got started promptly in the 8 am hour on our scheduled date which was a Saturday which was very impressive in itself! Their proficiency and experience were evident the whole time in terms of courtesy, cleanliness, and diligence to complete replacement of 18 windows including some high in an attic, in a single 13-hour day! We almost couldn’t believe their efficiency and know-how, which just shows how well trained Thompson Creek’s people are. Any visible minor cracks, stresses or gaps in the (very very) old window trim were filled and covered nicely, and we expected this. The result is beautiful and we are super happy.

During the quoting and consulting process, it’s easy to see how this company gets the great reputation it has. My mother in law recommended them based on her best friend’s experience and we have appreciated their local roots, quality product and focus on installer training and courtesy.

We used to be anxious and put off the window replacement that the old house we are in needs, and we are already feeling very reassured by the expertise of our reps so far. Looking forward to the project!

We just had all of our fascia boards capped by the great team from Thompson Creek. As usual they completed the work in a day. I would highly recommend the Team from Thompson Creek which includes all the internal folks as well for their expertise and great customer support for any outside work on my house as they have replaced my windows, siding and capped the house for us.

The main reason, I wanted to have my door replaced was due to water leaking years ago. The day of the install by Thompson Creek, I watched them take out the old door and noticed the discoloration of the internal house frame (stud and header) and the brittleness of the wood. Despite my concern the installation continued and I was told it should be fine. As the years went on it was clear that it was not fine. The issue is that Thompson Creek installed their product in an unsecure frame. Over the years, the issue has cause warping of their external frame and storm door. When presenting them with the issue, I'm being asked to pay for something that should have been addressed when I first made the statement of concern. So much for Thompson Creek warranty. How can Thompson Creek stand by their product when they don't install it properly and in an unsecure frame? I should not have to pay for a Thompson Creek mistake. Thompson Creek doesn't understand the meaning of integrity. My next To add to the existing issue, they sent out installers to replace the frame about a month ago and did a horrible job. Yet again, they installed a product onto an unsecure frame. My front door is now very difficult to close and on rainy days I have to body slam it to close it (probably due to the door not being squared). The storm door has gap between the new frame and the hinges. It too seems like it's not centered/squared. Then Thompson Creek sent out a third-party contractor to evaluate the situation (Moz Contractors LLC), who agree with me about the damage and the that it was over years. I showed him pictures of it over the years. It was obviously absurd to the contractor. The product is not worth the money if your installers can't do the job properly. Thompson Creek should be ashamed at the quality of work and services they have provided me over the years. The work is subpar and unsafe. I will continue to warn people/media. Already reported to the BBB.

About a year later, after the original post, and the door has only gotten worse. The frame of the door is bowed so the door will not shut properly. The decorative boarder has separated from the wall. The storm door top hinge seems to coming loose, resulting in the door being uneven and therefore will not shut properly. Thompsons Creek will not honor their warranty and handle the issue. To be honest, I do not think I want any of their employees near my house again. Because the door has only gotten worse with time, I will now need to hire someone to replace everything. Truly sad that this company cannot be trusted. They don't even deserve one star for a rating.

I have a one bedroom condo and I was able to get quoted in October fairly quickly (I liked that they were locally manufactured and owned). I put down the down payment that day and made a special Saturday appointment in December as opposed to a weekday. They cancelled on me the week of and I was not able to get windows installed until February of the following year. That would have been fine except a crack developed on one of the windows in May and I let Thompson Creek know and specifically asked for a fix before August with a new tenant coming in. They couldn't get an appointment scheduled at first and after doing all the legwork, they cancelled on me again the day before our appointment. It is now scheduled for this Saturday which is the final chance before the August deadline.

Beware of this company! So please think carefully before giving them your business!

Edit: Well, they cancelled on me the day of due to a scheduling error. When they rescheduled and came, they brought the wrong parts and didn't inform me. I also submitted their form and haven't heard anything. Might lower to one star after this. Ask for another service person if you get assigned to Alexis C.

Warranty update: the window cracked and I reached out as they specify the warranty is valid only if their team replaces it. I've been reaching out for a month now with about a dozen messages through, phone, contact form, and text. All are just automated messages with no human at the other end. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
