Many reviewers appreciated the quick responses to inquiries and the meticulous cleanup after projects were completed. However, some customers reported significant issues with customer service and communication, particularly related to subcontracting and lack of support during the estimation process. While the majority of experiences were favorable, these critical reviews suggest that improvements could be made in customer service to enhance overall satisfaction.

- We were VERY disappointed in the customer service provided by Valor Homes.
- Jack was very difficult to get ahold of and didn’t seem to know what was going on.
- The company spokesman said and I quote 'google it.'
- We didn’t realize everything would be subcontracted.
- There was a lack of support during the estimation process for customers with solar panels.

The service was completed in one day was appreciated. Likewise the attention to answering her questions in the timely manner was much appreciated. Furthermore the thoroughness of the cleanup likewise as to not have refuse in the yard for mowing obstacles. Overall was a good experience and great customer service.

The Valor crew did a great job installing our new roof. They cleaned up everything and were very professional. I like the fact that Valor does a lot to help our veterans. In 1944 my dad spent the 19th year of his life fighting from the back of a B17 bomber. Thanks to all the folks at Valor.

We reached out to Valor Homes for an insurance claim for our roof. Being a military brat I was drawn to their philosophy and support for Military families. We were VERY disappointed in the customer service provided by Valor Homes & Jack. We reached out to Valor and received a call from Jack, who set up an appt for Cody to come out and give us a quote. We didn’t realize everything would be subcontracted, but even as a GC, Jack was very difficult to get ahold of and didn’t seem to know what was going on or have a handle on the situation. First, we received an email confirming our appointment with Cody, three days after he came out to the house. We continued to ask for a breakdown of the quote so we could compare it to the Insurance claim. Since nothing was ever sent from Jack I reached out to our Insurance Company to get a copy of the quote submitted to them, which had $10,000 additional recommendations. When we reached out to Jack with questions, we had to call in to the “office” and waited days for a response. We wanted to upgrade from 5 inch to 6 inch gutters with screens and we wanted to make sure all of the work covered by Insurance would be completed. Jack just sent over a single line estimate of an additional $6,000 just for the gutters. He quoted the wrong color and there was no explanation or detailed breakdown of how that would tie into the original quote of 5 inch gutters covered by Insurance. Once again I called the “office”. We never heard from Jack, instead he had Cody call us, who walked us through the process. We came to an agreement and submitted payment for the deposit. We didn’t hear anything back for a week, so I reached out to Jack to find out when the roofers would be scheduled because I would need to leave their names at the front gate, since we live in a gated community. We scheduled work for a Tuesday, the forecast was for thunderstorms and rain all day long so we figured Valor would reach out to reschedule for later in the week. Jack called Monday morning to say a crew was trying to deliver the supplies but the truck couldn’t get in the back gate. We said we had no idea they were coming and once again explained they needed to come through the front gate. We needed their names to submit to security and Jack’s response was “I don’t know their names, it’s a subcontractor with “x” company”. The roofers finally came on Thursday and replaced the roof. The next day, Friday, I received an invoice for the balance. NO phone call, NO text, NO email saying we’ve completed the work, how was your experience?, is everything to your satisfaction?, NOTHING, just a bill. We still have not received any communication from Valor & are still waiting for the paperwork & warranty information, two weeks later. We are satisfied with the work the roofers did, but we were very disappointed in the way Valor Homes, and Jack, handled the whole situation. The lack of communication was horrific and we will not use or recommend Valor Homes for any future projects. We do need to give kudos to Cody for his knowledge & professionalism. He is the only reason this project was completed. He answered our calls, texts & emails within minutes. Cody answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. We will be using Cody’s company, Level Up Innovations for any future projects.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
