Great company, Gets things done on time and always answers their phone. Not afraid to admit if things aren’t going right, but they never failed the remedy a problem. This is a great company to work with and we 100% recommend them!

I have nothing but praise for Armando and his team with Canyon Side Construction. Super professional, fast, friendly, great quality of work. I got three separate quotes for a very large concrete job. Armando actually had the job done before I even got the quotes back from the other two groups. The initial project has now expanded into at least five because I’m so happy with their service. Prices were very reasonable.
I have only praise and would recommend them to anyone. I’m planning on working with Armando and his team well in the future for all of our various projects.
One example of what a great job he does is on the shed we were working on. I noticed that there was a little damage to some of the sealing trim. Without me even mentioning anything, I went back and noticed that he had trimmed out that piece and repaired it. Never even had to Mentioning it to him. He takes pride in his work and the quality of it, and there were several details that he went above and beyond to make sure that the job turned out well. It did. He’s got a loyal customer now.

I cannot say enough good things about Armando, Adrian, and the rest of the crew. Our insurance was an absolute NIGHTMARE. It took SIX WHOLE MONTHS to get things approved and paid for. However, Armando did not hesitate to work with us and make sure that we were kept in the loop and moving along.
His team is a model of excellence, and it's something that we do not see around here. We have been in Idaho for going on six years now, and we have had SO many contractors and such come and do bids and proposals, and they either didn't show up, did crap work, or a mixture of the two. However, this has not been the case with CSC. They were always there when they said they would be. In the event they were going to be delayed, we were notified ahead of time so we were not just waiting around.
Once all the materials were ordered and came in, finishing the massive project was done quickly, efficiently, and well. What started as just a leak in the laundry room turned into a bathroom remodel, asbestos in the floor and ceilings in my son's room, AND the laundry room (because of collateral damage from our leak).
I cannot say enough good things about ALL the people we encountered, from Jessica to Holly to Edgar and Dean. I know I'm missing so many. Just know that if you go with Canyon Side, you get consummate professionalism.

Armando and Adrian and their crew are true professionals. They did everything on our proposal and went above and beyond when they saw something that needed to be done. The final bill was almost exactly what was on the proposal. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Armando was amazing! He came highly recommended and didn't disappoint whatsoever. He always answered my calls and questions and was always professional. My insurance company was a nightmare, but Armando was so patient and understanding when it came to every obstacle. 10/10 recommend!

Canyon side construction was very thorough and professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professionally handled. The team was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and always willing to listen to our ideas and concerns.What impressed me most was their commitment to staying on schedule and within budget. We are thrilled with the results and will definitely be calling them again for any future projects!

Armando,
This is why I am warning potential CSC clients about you. You have shown no accountability for the hack job CSC did to our home. The fact that you used unskilled and unlicensed workers to complete tasks that were far beyond their abilities, did not oversee their work, neglected to follow through with your promises and refuse to take responsibility for their work once we pointed out our concerns speaks loudly about your lack of professionalism. WE PAID YOU!
Now we find out the damages done to our home were avoidable. You neglected to reinstalled the sub flooring (that your guy's tore out unnecessarily) as is noted CSC's responsibility on the Rocky Mountain Flooring work order. This lead to improperly installed flooring. We payed for the flooring to be reinstalled correctly. You neglected to informed the Graciano & Brothers (your guy"s) that there was radiant heating in the ceiling. This lead to damage to the heating units. We payed for the Radiant Heating to be repaired.
Now you are attempting to deny any part of the poor workmanship and damages. I have receipts for all the work, we paid Canyon Side Construction. Please Armando, explain to me how you (and CSC) are not responsible for the complete mismanagement, poor workmanship, and damages done to our home.

Canyonside Construction: Professional pricing with DIY results. Beware.

Good try, but as the General Contractor, you are responsible for the finished product. You told us that the workers were “your guys.” As far as I know, your company does not have a dedicated construction crew. Therefore, and construction work would be subcontracted out. You cannot hire people to work on a project that you have accepted and then not take responsibility for their work. You also are saying that you want us to sign a release of liability waiver for all unforeseen issues that may occur when you allowed such shoddy work to be done to our home. Nobody in their right mind would ever sign something like that. Shame on you!

A costly mistake!
This was not a good experience. Armando’s mismanagement and refusal to rectify the issues was extremely disappointing. This job quickly went south once we started to point out the construction defects and damages “his crew” had caused; damaged property, compromised existing radiant ceiling heating, damaged personal item (furniture, appliances, clothing, etc..) poor workmanship, and a complete disregard for the trust we offered them with our home (see photos).
It started by CSC’s team mistakenly tearing out the subflooring unnecessarily and not replacing it. Followed by Armando scheduling a sub-contractor to install flooring without sub-flooring. Once the flooring was installed it became obvious that the height and spacing for the cabinet, trim, and door installations was off due to no sub-flooring. We pointed this out to Armando, and he attempted to remedy the situation through short cuts with disastrous results. The flooring was now poorly installed leaving gaps, hallow spots, uneven sections and large spacing between cabinetry, walls, and brickwork. The only solutions being to replace the damaged flooring with the original professional installation standards with sub-flooring in place (see photos), but this Armando did not want to pay for.
Next, we realize both bedrooms radiant ceiling heat had been damaged. These components were damaged by CSC’s mismanagement of ceiling fan installations. Armando ignored questions regarding their state once the fans were installed. We did not get an honest answer until we pressured Armando into bring in an Electrician we knew was licensed. It was at this point we realized that all our plumbing and electrical work had been completed by unlicensed, uncertified, and unskilled individuals. We ask for permits and licenses for the plumbing and electrical work completed, but Armando has yet to supply them. Sadly, due to the circumstance we were in we had already given Armand a large percentage of the estimate and felt forced to continue working with him.
I won’t even start with the three attempts at finishing the bathroom (please see photos). We have voiced our concerns to Armando. His response was to offer a payment for the necessary repairs to the radiant heating by his insurance and pay for the flooring to be replaced. In exchange he demanded we sign a full release of liability document for all work completed. As you can understand, this was not in our best interest as the totality of the potential long-term damages this company may have caused is at this point undetermined. Without a full inspection we cannot be sure and with no permits pulled we cannot get an inspection.
In short, we have spent over $20,000 to repair the damages caused by Armando’s mismanagement. So far, the project remains incomplete. Armando refuses to contact us via email or text. Very disappointing.
I understand that mistakes are made, and nothing is perfect. But, by the way this company handled its mistakes and continues to hide behind ambiguous contracts and vague promises I cannot recommend them. If you choose to hire this company, do not sign anything that you have not shown to lawyers, get everything in writing EVERYTHING!. Beware of potential costly outcomes!
