Steve and his crew did an excellent job replacing the shingle roof on my house. I was initially expecting it to take a few days to be completed but they had it taken off and replaced before the end of the day. There was some bad wood from the old roof leaking and he and his crew replaced it without any extra charge. They cleaned up well before they left. Overall very pleased with everything.

The only word I can use is *awesome* from start to finish! We had a substantial amount of work done by this company - a newly designed and constructed front porch, all new windows and siding, plus interior ceiling fans and several closet doors. Plus also resitting the dishwasher which a previous contractor had not done properly.

We received nothing but excellent, personal service. The work was done quickly, efficiently and meticulously. Always on time. Always keeping us in touch with choices to be made. Worked long days and was always in contact. We had absolutely NO complaints on any of the work that has been done. Boyer will always be our go-to contractor in the future!

I contacted them to have some work done on a rental property I have in VB (I live in DC). Found them through HomeAdviser and I never got any follow up on the work that they were supposed to help me with. Thankfully a competitor actually responded when they said they would and finished the $8000 job I needed repaired. Good thing too because the window was leaking and the weekend after repairs were done the hurricane made landfall. They were nice over the phone and seemed genuine I guess something happened and they forgot? Maybr if you have no other choices and need work done maybe hassling will get it? idk.

Boyer Siding and windows are the BEST!! We had a room addition built on in October. He was always on time, professional, and his work was outstanding. I would definitely use them for any further repairs or work to be done, in the future.

Six and a-half years ago, Boyer Siding & Windows installed a new front door and sidelights as well as covered existing wood trim with aluminum. The initial workmanship was adequate. (We believe one of the workman punctured the vinyl siding on the house although we couldn't prove it.)

When, however, a single piece of the aluminum wrapping on the rake board recently came loose, Boyer Siding refused to repair it for free, claiming the work had been warranted for only five years. Not only was the cost of repair excessive, there was no negotiating for a discount. Boyer may be slightly cheaper than Beach Windows and Siding but at least Beach's products come with a lifetime warranty.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
