We were completely satisfied with Bora Construction. We had multiple, complex leaks from our roof deck.We felt Nick the owner, with an Engineering background, could find the causes and rectify. He did not disappoint. The crew did quality work with quality materials.

Nick and his team are the real deal. Nick didn't just give me an eyeball estimate, he actually put thought into what it would take to complete the project and he and his team came back to my house twice to be sure that they would have the proper materials and adequate labor. When the day came to compete the project, Bora showed up on time and finished on time, in spite of the project being larger than anticipated. After having several mixed experiences with contractors recently, I'm glad I've finally found one that is reliable and will definitely use Bora again.

I had my main roof, a lower roof, and my garage roof all completely replaced by Bora just over a year ago. I had a lot of leaks across all of the roofs that were causing further damage and hassles. Nick was great to work with - I ask a LOT of questions, and he took the time to talk through all of the answers, and provided options for me to choose from.

The work was spread across 2 days, and even through there were a few surprises when they started pulling off the old materials, they handled it quickly and professionally, always keeping me in the loop.

It’s been just over a year, and I’ve had no problems at all across any of the roof replacements. No more leaks! Big thanks to Nick and his team!

I’m not one to give reviews but I want to thank Bora construction for rebuilding part of my deck that was destroyed by a fallen tree. Hired Bora Construcrion to replace a skylight at my house that's been leaking for years. They came highly recommended from the supplier and so glad I hired them. They did a great job with the skylight and even fixed a few additional things at no extra cost. Will be hiring them again in the future

This review is long overdue! We were having a very big problem with ants entering our property due to exposures on our exterior wall. Unfortunately, we had a lot of no shows and lack of response with other contractors so after an extensive search, we found Bora Construction and we’re so happy we did! The service and response time was exceptional. Cindy was a huge help in getting us a visit with Nick right away and keeping us updated at all times for appointments. Nick was able to come out quickly, inspect our property and offer a solution that would actually fix the problem for a very great price! Nick and his team worked quickly to get the work done and we are so happy to say we no longer have the ant problem and can actually enjoy our property during the warmer season. I would definitely recommend Bora Construction to anyone looking for a great, reliable team to get work done. I definitely plan to work with Bora Construction again for future projects!

Nick and I walked the deck, discussed various options, and quickly came to a sensible starting point since I was actually slightly reducing the size of the property's previous deck. Even though we hit a small issue with existing framing (unrelated to Bora), Nick informed me of my options and we were able to proceed promptly.

Bora replaced the siding from our soffit that blew off in a recent wind storm. They were professional, came out to see & price the job (not just give us a price quote from photos like other contractors). The office staff was responsive and their price was better than a local competitor. They did the job efficiently and promptly. This met our needs.

Nick and his team have done numerous projects for our brownstone over the years including 1) painting the building (bottom half of the 1st picture), 2) installing a new gutter and downspout, 3) creating a new walkway with a french drain to help redirect water away from our building, 4) reinforcing our deck and more. Bora Construction Company is a fantastic company. We had an old deck which they turned into a work of art. Nick, the owner, was involved from start to finish.if any situation came up he was immediately on top of it. He always said he wanted to make us happy. He did!!
His crew was very professional, courteous and friendly. We love our deck.

I was very apprehensive and nervous in the beginning because of past experiences. But Nick assured that I could trust him and his team. And it was exactly that from the very beginning. I was updated daily on what was going on. His team was always on time, very respectful and listened to my requests. Never seen a rehab done so quickly and did a wonderful job. I absolutely love it.

I had a leak that some contractors dismissed, because it wasn’t obvious from my roof, where it was coming from. However, Bora was the most knowledgeable in the potential reasons why it was leaking. They were the most reasonably quoted in price and timeline for the options of an additional layer or a new roof replacement. Thankfully, I choose the latter, which after demo, revealed the plywood and chimney conditions. There were added costs and structural concerns, but Bora explained what all my options were before moving forward and showed good workmanship.

Nick, Daniela, George, Luis and the crew were respectful, communicative and professional. Since they finished in the beginning of July, the gutter has been draining properly with no leaks. My only critique is there could have been a little more effort from the crew in moving the items they rearranged back and cleaning the backyard. Bora did apologize and offered to come back, but I had already done it myself. I would still recommend and hire them again. I’ve worked with multiple contractors for interior and exterior projects of my home and compared to those experiences, the entire Bora team has been one of the better companies to work with.

Nick and team helped us with a time sensitive siding issue on short notice. They were fast, efficient, responsive, and fairly-priced. Their work fixed our leak issue at a fraction of the cost some other companies proposed charging us, because they were able to diagnose the precise problem (as opposed to replacing all of our siding). Would definitely work with them again!

Responsive and quality service! Had a leak in my roof and called Nick from BORA construction. He was at my property next day and was able to determine the cause (cracked sealing on one of the pipe boots). He took photos of all and recommended that they all be replaced as they could potentially leak in the future. Had a few other quotes but they were more reasonably priced-plus their professionalism was great (something you don’t get much these days :)). Scheduled and they came out the next week and completed the work in the timeframe given (had all material available and on hand-so no last minute runs to the hardware store). Great service and when needed will be using them again for other projects!

We have a flat roof and scheduled Bora Construction to checkout the roof because we suspected a potential leak issue with our chimney flashing.

When Nick came out to checkout the job, he went right up on the roof and took a look. He found a few spots where there was water present. He gave us the various options and we went with rolling on a new layer of roof.

When the crew arrived in the morning and began taking off the side flashing they discovered the there had been some water penetration from another section of the roof which had completely rotted some of the plywood.

Nick quickly ran a new estimate, got the plywood and had the roof completed that day. The flashing and roof cement were applied the next day and when they left, our yard and walkways looked like they did before the work began.

The crew were courteous and diligent. Nick was professional and stuck to the estimates he gave.

We hired Bora Construction to install a new roof and gutters. Nick was great to work with and very responsive. They completed the job on time and were prompt daily. Nick was always available during the course of the job when requested to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Overall, we would recommend Bora Construction and will use them again in the future if need be.

We worked with Bora Construction to replace the roof, gutters, and sidings. This is a big project for even an experienced homeowner, but especially nerve-wracking considering this is our first home and emotions were high. To our surprise, the project took only 2.5 weeks even with 3 days of rain. Luis and crew accounted for the weather in their roof and sidings work, and there was absolutely zero water intrusion.

Nick's top quality is that he'll always leave things better than it was. When a problem comes up, Nick addresses them quickly in a non-defensive and customer-focused way. He points out issues/risks and provides solutions to address them as if it were his own home. Nick found multiple issues with our old home's roof and repaired them. No shortcuts were taken.

The transformation of our home was huge! We had a red house before. Nick's crew installed hardie board and it came out amazing. I highly recommend Nick's crew on hardie installation - he has quite the experience and volume of hardie jobs.

While I don't have pictures of the gutters, I initially didn't realize the gutters were installed. Nick and Mario were masterful in designing the gutters to maximize showing the hardie and hid the gutters well. Mario built all the gutters on-site with thick and top quality materials. Absolutely zero joints for extending gutters - all custom. Incredible craftsmanship. Thanks team!

Replacing our roof was way overdue. In addition to the roof, the Bora team demoed a non functional chimney, fixed the gutters and installed guards on them as well. From start to finish they did an awesome job.

Nick and his team was responsive and took pride in their work. Construction/Renovations in Jersey City is a challenge given the age of buildings and nuances that come with that. Bora Construction took on that challenge and more than succeeded. They re-framed and replaced windows & painted my kitchen/living room.

What a terrific job and great outcome! The windows are perfect as well as the paint job. I would highly recommend hiring them. It is difficult to come by a great contractor but I found Bora Construction to be the best! More than pleased with their job.

We had a leaky window and had less than positive experiences with some other contracting firms, but thankfully Bora was able to come and do a thorough inspection on a quick turnaround and then have the work done. The fix definitely worked as we did not experience any leakage with some heavy rainfall that came after their work. Would recommend the group.

The guys came out to remove old and install new gutters. They surveyed the work that needed to be done, and what I liked most is that they were really concerned with the aesthetics of the install and making sure that visually it was balanced. Great work and I highly recommend.

Hired Bora Construction to install a specialized under deck drainage system. I reached out to several contractors, Nick was the first to respond and even stopped by to assess the project on a Sunday, the same day I reached out. None of the other contractors had experience with this type of work - Nick knew exactly what was needed.

Nick had search for the materials as supply chain issues had created shortages. He went above and beyond, finding the material, providing me with a reasonable quote and working with me on the install date.

You couldn’t ask for better contractors. Nick and the rest of the Bora team removed a big electric fireplace from our new home, restored the original brick fireplace that was hidden behind it, added a brick hearth, and rebuilt the surrounding walls. They were incredibly professional, polite, and a general delight to work with. Nick was very communicative, explained everything they were doing, and was fast to respond to emails. They came and started working right away and were finished in no time. Their services were very reasonably priced - we feel what we got was well worth the cost, and they were clear on the budget with no surprise or hidden costs. We will use them for any services we need in the future that they provide, and couldn’t recommend them more highly.
