You can’t get a better inspection; Brad helped us not only avoid purchasing a house where he found multiple problems, but also gave us excellent information to go back to the seller with on the home we bought regarding roof and HVAC concerns.

Brad Barbour did a inspection for me recently and did not call out the utility room fan that was very loud and smelled bad , also kicked out dust. I noticed this afterward when I was showing the house to my mom. The listing agent was there and also witnessed it . I also smelled gas at the furnace in garage that he did not notice and only called for a maintenence on it. I called him to ask questions of why he did not put these things into his report and his reply was that he did not notice the gas smell or the fan. He then said that he sent me a report on what to expect from inspections and that utility fans are not apart of what should be expected to be checked. I have built homes now for 10 yrs and am very familiar with normal inspections and what they entail. I think that him saying to not expect the fans to be checked and put into reports is substandard. If he missed that what else did he miss? He would not go out and check the fan for me or the gas smell after I already paid him. He laughed at me and dissmissed my concerns and questions.

Our experience with Brad was excellent. He was thorough, professional and communicated clearly. It was an added bonus to have a slide show of the entire home. Even the most remote corners. BNB has our enthusiastic recommendation!

My wife and I used Brad for a 2nd home purchase in the Bellingham area this year. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Brad climbed through every square inch of the property and then spent an hour or more going through it with us and pointing out key areas of interest/concern. As it was a pass/fail inspection, this was very important for us.

He followed up with a very thorough report with pictures and recommendations and quickly responded to several email inquiries afterward.

Was very impressed and highly recommend!

My husband and I had Brad inspect at least 3 houses for us before we purchased our house! One we backed out of because of all the things he found. Brad is thorough, on time, and very knowledgeable. After the inspection, he provides a binder with information on home maintenance and the report comes a day or two later. Highly recommend. Oh, and If you experience the unfortunate reality of needing multiple inspections done like us, make sure to ask about a discount. Thanks Brad!

Would never buy a house on this island without calling on Brad first. We are going on inspection 4 now since last August,... He just doesn’t know about the fourth one yet.

Brad and his team did an incredibly thorough job inspecting a house for us. In the end, Brad's expertise in Wood Destroying Organisms saved us a huge headache when Brad discovered beetle issues in our foundation. We'll definitely be going back to BNB as we continue the search for our first home! Thank you so much, Brad and Ashley!

My husband and I are relocating from Arizona to Whatcom County, so we are house hunting remotely. We made an offer on a home, and Brad Barbour with BNB Home Inspection was recommended to us by our real estate agent. Brad was able to inspect the home the next day, and provided us with a thorough report that night. We greatly appreciated his expertise. He highlighted some serious issues, and we chose not to buy the house. He saved us from making a real mistake! Thank you Brad. We're still looking, and we will contact you when we find our next home.

Because I had the inspection done while living in another state I was a little skeptical. Brad and his team did a thorough inspection and return a detailed report to me to include a photo and an explanation of both the discrepancy and common construction terms. I was very impressed with the customer service and the inspection I received. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends and family.

My experience with BNB Home Inspection was very positive. The detail and time they were willing to take with my home and me were wonderful and eased a lot home buying nervousness. From the way they interacted with me and took time to explain information, I felt that I could trust them and their work now and in the future.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
