How would I describe my experience with Blue Ridge & Construction? In a word, exceptional.
After abortive attempts to find a contractor for the renovation of my primary bathroom, I took a chance with this company. Ben, the project developer, came to my house the next business day to assess the project. He was pleasant and informative, and came up with some great ideas to complement my own wishes. I received the quote just a few days later. The agreed-upon budget was in the ballpark of my own rough estimate.
The renovation moved along pretty seamlessly, thanks to the sterling efforts of Jeff, the project manager. I really can’t say enough good things about him. He was always responsive and came to the house regularly to check on progress and offer suggestions. Like all the other Blue Ridge team members, and subcontractors, Jeff was friendly, courteous, and utterly professional.
The job was completed with care and diligent attention to detail. A particular shoutout to the tilers, who can only be described as craftsmen. All of my friends who have seen the renovated bathroom have been blown away by the quality of the tile work.
All in all, this was a wonderful experience, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the end result. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for home renovations.

We recently had a garage built by Blue Ridge and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. From start to finish, the service we received was outstanding. The project manager, Jeff was professional, attentive, and always kept us in the loop. Every question was answered promptly, and the whole process felt smooth and well-organized thanks to their excellent coordination.
The employees were all friendly, respectful, and they were cognizant of our dogs by doing things like always closing gates behind them and putting up temporary barriers when our fence was down due to the garage build and fence work.
A special shoutout to the carpenter, Nate, whose craftsmanship truly stood out. The attention to detail and quality of work exceeded our expectations. It’s clear they all take pride in what they do, and the final result reflects that.
Highly recommend this team if you're looking for reliability, skill, and great customer service. I can't speak for their other project managers, but if you can get Jeff, he is awesome. We’re thrilled with our new garage!

We went under contract with Blue Ridge in the summer of 2023 to undergo a variety of renovations in our home. We broke ground mid August and were told it would be done by Halloween. I was very surprised with this timeline and internally adjusted that end date to Christmas. Ultimately, they finished our project just before Christmas a year later. The work they did was good, and I encountered some very friendly employees along the way. However, we had 4 different project managers throughout our contract, 3 of whom left the company to pursue work elsewhere. For the first 10 months we had work being done maybe 1 week each month. With very little communication. I believe the business underwent some situations beyond their control during this time, but one thing they could control (IMHO) was not taking on additional new contracts while going very slowly on existing contracts. The delay in timeline was never really addressed on their end. We stayed with them instead of breaking contract because we didn't want the headache of starting over with someone mid project. However, I would not recommend this company to a friend.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
