For such a big & large budget project, I was amazed at how seamless & problem-free our roof replacement went. Nick was fantastic to work with. Excellent communicator & on-site to oversee key phases of the project. All went even better than expected. Crew always arrived on time, worked hard & fast plus very thorough cleaning up each day. It seemed like the old roof was replaced in no time. It was an excellent choice to select Blue Goat Roofing & a pleasure working with Nick & his crew!

My steep roof was no problem for the team from Blue Goat Roofing. I had a few requirements related to my historic home and the owner Nick communicated well to both understand my needs and ensure I was aware of tradeoffs. Blue Goat really delivered and I am thankful. To top that, I think they left my property more tidy than when they started and it just shows how they take pride in doing their best for customers.

Spectacular service! They arrived at 7 a.m. on time, covered the area with blue tarps, and began work immediately. Within hours, they removed the old roof and solar panels, and started installing the new roofing. The crew was hardworking, efficient, and focused. By 7 p.m., the new roof was installed and the area was left spotless.

We highly recommend Blue Goat Roofing. Nick is a wonderful person and stays in constant contact through the whole process. His crew was wonderful and always showed up on time. They professionally installed the roof and always cleaned as they worked. We can't say enough about Nick and his crew!

I used Blue Goat Roofing Boise to install a new replacement roof that was ~24 years old. I had some leaking in an area of the roof several years ago and Nick of Blue Goat roofing came out and knowing I didn't have the funds at the time to replace the roof, he went ahead and went "above and beyond" to make the necessary repairs without charging me (~$500 repair cost). Nick did as I remember him when we were ready for a new roof. That first impression and interaction was what sold me to use Blue Goat roofing. Words cannot express my appreciation to Nick!

Fast forward, in October I called Nick at Blue Goat Roofing as I was ready to replace my roof. I am highly satisfied with the final job and look of the new roof. Nick is a great guy to deal with and is very proactive answering all my many questions. He has great integrity and really cares that his customers are looked after and kept informed. Thanks to his approach, he made us aware of any hidden issues and fixed them appropriately - i.e. adding additional vents at no cost!

The team replaced my roof at a very reasonable cost compared to other roofing companies in the Boise area. The team worked hard to a high-quality standard and took great care to tidy up the site after completion. Very highly recommended as Blue Goat roofing will exceed your expectations!

In 2022 Nick and his team put a new roof on our home in the northend of Boise which was built in the 1940s. A first generation immigrant from southeast asia , I knew nothing about roofing and old homes but Nick was very patient and clearly explained what he thought our home/roof would need. Nick was able to come up logical solutions for the issues our roof had due to prior suboptimal design. The price was fair, job was done on time. There was subsequenlty an issue with our skylight which Nick had already asked me to lookout for, this was fixed promptly , so good follow up. Nick was very professional and did not try to sell add ons. He comes across as a sincere and genuine roofer.

Nick and his crew put a new roof on our house and garage. They not only did quality work, but more importantly Nick was responsive and timely in all our dealings. I would highly recommend Blue Goat Roofing and will use them again in the future.

Blue Goat demo'ed my old roof and put a new roof on my older Bench house a couple years ago, and if you have never had this done -- I can tell you getting a new roof makes every day better. Seeing it, coming home to it, and generally just looking at it when I'm in the yard. Nick & crew got the job done in early spring, and in short order for a reasonable rate by my research -- it took three days max to strip it down and put a new roof on. Then last summer I got new siding put on the house by a separate contractor. In the recent January (2024) roof edge ice dam thaw -- I noticed some water making it's way into my kitchen... this was the result of the ice dam shifting a small piece of new siding out from a short stretch of roof edge where a gable went out from main roof... I called Nick early in the morning, and he courteously replied and promptly fit a visit in to diagnose my leak issue -- he observed the siding crew had not replaced the drip edge, and added a new drip edge with a bit of flashing -- most thankfully there's been no leak since, and it appears the water damage is minimal. Thank you Nick for fitting our house into your schedule on short notice, and to your crew et al for the initial work. Really appreciate Blue Goat. Highly recommend, these are some good guys working hard.

As part of an overall complex project (windows, stucco, roof), I started interviewing roofing companies eight months before I needed my roof replaced. Nick Hurren of Blue Goat Roofing was one of several companies I interviewed that is recognized by Certainteed as a “Select ShingleMaster”. Nick discussed options (tile, metal, shingles) and within a few days provided me with quotes for all of the options we discussed.

I ultimately chose to go with Blue Goat Roofing because of Nick’s customer service and flexibility. Whenever I had a question Nick was quick to respond. Working with our stucco contractor, Nick sent his team to replace flashing when requested, and then scheduled the roof tear off and installation while the stucco cured.

I’m the guy with binoculars who checked out the roof once it was completed, and I can tell you that I’m thrilled with my new roof.

With all of my contractors, I looked for credentials, customer reviews, quality work, professionalism, communication and flexibility. Blue Herron Roofing excelled in all areas.

I’ve had a negative experience with Blue Goat roofing! Be warned!! Blue goat roofing was highly recommended to us from a friend/neighbor/handyman whom trusted.
I spoke with Nick Hurren in November of 2021(?). He came out to assess our roof and felt that our shingles met some of the hallmarks and time frames indicated in the Certainteed shingle defect class action law suit.

Fast forward 2 weeks and it looks like the insurance company will be covering the cost of the entire roof!! With some good questions and solid relationships the new roofer solved all of our problems and we finally had our roof replaced in October 2022!!!! Lack of effort and communication were the bc breakdowns with Blue Goat & Nick!!

Please be careful in selecting Blue Goat Roofing for your roofing needs…let your fingers do a thorough online search of roofing companies in the treasure Valley…you’ll certainly find that there are some extremely high rates providers that will provide thorough communication throughout the process!! Nic was very professional and responsive to my timeline and takinbg care of the repairs in Donnelly, Idaho. His workers were on time and worked very hard and were easy to communicate with.

Nick is super to work with. He is responsive and helpful, often the one that comes out to check in . We had our roof installed two years. He came to do an inspection for me recently. He was timely and stayed in contact by email and text. I would highly recommend this company for their pride of workmanship and integrity.

I had Blue Goat Roofing replace my 20 year old roof in May 2021. I wanted to wait at least a full year before writing a review, just in case something went awry. Nothing has. My roof has performed as expected through our normal Idaho winter, a very wet spring, and two hot summers. I had the roof vented using ridge vents and I'm seeing more and more in the neighborhood that have that venting. I'm not sure if it has made that much of a difference in keeping the house cooler, but I think it looks nicer than the old style vents. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my roof, and the whole experience.

Very happy with roof repair from Nick. He saved me $ by repairing leaking sections when others wanted to do a complete reroof. His employees did top quality work and sourced replacement tiles that matched existing. He answered his phone when I called, completed the work on time and came in under budget. After the job he assisted me in getting all the matching tiles left at the supplier for future repairs. I highly recommend him.

Blue Goat Roofing installed our new shingles about 5 years ago. At the same time, they moved several vents to make more room for the solar panels that we were also planning to install. My new roof had water damage from a previous poorly done job. Blue Goat Roofing not only came in with the lowest bid, but the repair was explained in great detail and photos showed what they had done to fix and mitigate the damage. They used a few different methods and now my roof is leak proof. I also appreciated the fact that after more damage was found, Nick called to make sure it was okay to buy more wood to replace the wet wood. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hardworking, personable efficient roofing company.

I had my aging roof redone by Blue Goat last year. It looks great and I am happy with it and how the process went. The removal, install and cleanup were just a couple days.
