Kim and her crew are one of the most friendly, professional vendors I have ever had work on my home. It is easy to see that she understands the investment being made, and doesn't not take it for granted.

When you get a roofer who says they will give you estimates for free and then charge you for the estimates that doesn't scream reliable. We didn't choose her because obviously for that reason and the way she talked to us like why are you not doing this it's obviously because of a disability felt super uncomfortable with her forcing disabled husband to do work only to charge us for estimate in end and he paid her and I was so disappointed find someone else. Also she was on the higher side of estimates and not free estimate.

BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!!! As a new homeowner discovering leaks in the roof while working up in the attic, the prospect of replacing my roof was daunting. I saw Kim's sign on one of my neighbor's lawns and thought the roof looked great so I gave her a call. Some of the other roofing contractors I spoke with used high-pressure tactics, gave crazy-high estimates, and made me uncomfortable. Kim was the opposite - her estimate came back at a very reasonable price and she encouraged me to get additional estimates. I felt so comfortable speaking with her that I added much-needed gutters to the project. She communicated very clearly every step of the way - she will tell you that once you choose her for your project, she is committed to taking care of you. She provided detailed instructions of how to prepare for project day, and her crew worked quickly, were respectful of my property, and did an amazing job. Kim, the owner of Bludog Roofing, is an absolute gem of a person. Not only is she an amazing roofer but she showed the utmost compassion by coming within minutes of informing her to rescue a cat stuck on a roof for 3 days in downtown Wilmington. It was a cold windy Friday evening a couple days ago and even the fire station, other roofers, and animal rescue refused to help. It took just one text message for Kim to come over, place a tall ladder in a precarious location, climb in the dark, grab the desperate kittie and bring her down. As new homeowners, finding a leak and learning we needed a new roof was the last thing we wanted to hear. A week before Christmas at that. The customer service was amazing! Kim was so down to earth and explained everything in great detail from what was needed and to be expected. She was so patient with our questions and quickly put us at ease at such a stressful time.
When it was time to get the job done the crew worked diligently to be sure our home was protected for the job. These guys were fast and efficient!

So far so good, it's only been about 3 weeks since gutters were installed. They came on time and price didn't change. We were told by another company that six inch gutters wouldn't look right on a normal house, so we were a little apprehensive. Well guess what, the gutters look absolutely fine. They also cleaned up well, not trash left anywhere.
Leaves still collect in gutters, it's fall time and we got LOADS of leaves.

We highly recommend BluDog Roofing. I called because I had water in my garage. Kim got back to me quickly and scheduled a visit for the next day. Even though there was a light rain Kim was up on our 4 car garage flat roof. She had to remove hundreds of pounds of leaves and ivy to discover the problem. Not only had a branch punctured the rubber membrane a seam had also failed. We discussed options and she returned a few days later when it was dry to make a repair while we prepare for the cost of a full replacement. We are so glad to see that there are some good, honest and reliable trades people left.

I can’t say anything bad about Kim and her company. A truly wonderful person and company to work with. Kim takes a personal approach to her customers. I had packages at my door getting wet from the rain, she notified me that she put them under her tarp so they didn’t get worse. She also made sure to put wood down on my new driveway so as when the dropped the dumpster off it didn’t chip it. Then when I came home when the were done, she is out in my driveway blows the dirt and debris off, not to mention that she already cleaned up leaves in my driveway previously. No one does that!!!

I was in need of a roof replacement. I work at a medical center so I have access to many colleagues and patients to get recommendations. Kim and her company, BluDog Roofing, LLC came highly recommended. I picked the top 4 companies from a lot of recommendations to come and provide quotes.

Two companies were cookie cutter in their presentation and quote. One company’s guy didn’t even get up on the roof to inspect it before giving me his sales pitch and quote. Kim, on the other hand puts the Energizer Bunny to shame with her energy and enthusiasm when it comes to roofing. She was up on the roof moving around like she was born and lived on a roof top. She made sure that I was clear on what the current roof condition was and went over different options regarding the roof replacement project.

Note this: She is the ONLY roofing contractor that I asked for quotes from that brought to my attention that I had recent hail damage to my roof. None of the other companies that provided quotes mentioned this. I asked two of the contractors about the hail damage after they finished their presentation and gave their quotes. Both said that they had not noticed hail damage. When I showed them photos that Kim took while up on my roof inspecting it and gathering information for a plan to replace the roof, the contractors acknowledged that they missed the damage, but they agreed there was hail damage. Even I could point out the damage on the roof after seeing the photos and knowing what to look for. How the other professionals missed the damage is disturbing.

Kim suggested that I check with my insurance company to see if my homeowner’s policy would cover the damage. I was pleased to find out that a significant portion of the roof replacement job was covered (paid for) by an insurance claim. Let me be clear – Kim of BluDog Roofing, LLC was the ONLY company to notice the damage. If the others missed that damage, what else might they miss on other roofs they inspect for repairs or replacements. Kim’s attention to detail saved me a lot of money too.

Kim was on the job when the roof was removed and a replacement roof installed. Her crew was the best. They were professional, hard working and respectful of my property and landscaping as they removed the old roofing materials and installed a new one. The cleanup was excellent – you would never know they were there except for the impressive new roof. Everyone in the neighborhood that commented on the new roof said that it looks much better than others that have been recently replaced in the neighborhood.

I cannot express my gratitude enough in words on how thankful I am that I chose to go with Blu Dog Roofing.  Kim and her team were incredible with the entire process, which was quick and painless.  Kim came out to my house and personally gave me an estimate for my roof, pointed out what other people had on their roofs that I may have been lacking and could be benefiting from, helped me vent out my bathroom to the external portion of the house, and gave me a few pointers on other areas of my house that connected to the roof, that she recommended a specific product or repair. I received my estimate the same day she came out and I was scheduled within a week.  Her roofing team was there at 7am sharp, ready to map and task it all out. BluDog Roofing did a fabulous job replacing the roof of my historic home. Kim is attentive to details, has a hard-working knowledgeable crew, and was not afraid to tell me she had to research something when I asked for detailed info on install (my skylights were a learning curve, but she got the info I wanted and even came to my house with "props" so she could explain it to me in a way I'd understand and be sure my mind was at ease before we started).
