We hired Angel to repair,and hang drywall with mudding and texture for our bath and laundry.
Horrible installation, no called, no showed multiple times.
He kept calling repeatedly asking for money or if he can start earlier.
Called repeatedly asking Can he bring over his plumber friend to look at our bath and work on the plumbing needs. No, you can not!
He lied so often, I'm on my way to your house now. Never came.
Was reusing corner edge pieces i asked repeatedly to be replaced with new. The 2 Mexican gentlemen he did bring in spoke zero English and had no drywall experience. Should have used full sheets and they cut small pieces and put it in.
Finally fired after his 3rd no call,no show.

Picture this company like a birds nest. The boss is momma bird, whenever you request work he just pawns it off onto unbonded and unlicensed contractors, baby birds.

The initial meeting went great, the contractor (Angel of J&L Drywall and painting services) was punctual. He gave a reasonable quote (1,500 cheaper than another quote I had) and asked for 35% down for materials. His guys started work on Wednesday (Jul 29th). He then texts me, asking for a favor, and if I could loan him some extra money ($300 because of child support and his bank issues). We commented how that was extremely unprofessional to even ask

Part of the bid was to install insulation along the foundation walls. I didn't see any trash or materials laying around so I asked if it had been installed. I was told that the initial roll of drywall (that he chose) was too thick, so they "sprayed some". I grabbed a bore scope, and looked in 3 random places along the wall, and guess what, NO insulation was installed. Thursday they did very little. Friday was a no show. Saturday he gives me an excuse that his crew couldn't get their vehicle started. Later that night he says that he got into it with one of his guys and the employee quit.

Sunday he asks if he can have access to the house Monday morning. No one ever showed up at the house. He asked me for a meeting at 6:30 pm to discuss the plans moving forward. I waited 20+ minutes, and he never arrived to a meeting that HE SET!

Needless to say, I have officially terminated any further dealings with this company.
