Big O Tires

HIGHLY recommend this location. Can’t say enough good things about them. I was traveling through Elko in the middle of the night when I got a flat. I had to get a hotel for the night and went to this location because they were the first ones open in town. When I arrived, they had a long line of customers but they were able to get me in and out in under an hour. The whole team was helpful and friendly and you can’t tell they care about their customer service. I’ve been to dozens of tire shops and that was easily the best experience I’ve ever had.

I’ve been bringing my 2014 Toyota Camry to Big O Tires for a while now, and I have to give major credit where it’s due—Johnny is an absolute gem. Every single time I come in, he goes above and beyond, not just fixing what needs fixing, but actually teaching me about my car. He makes sure I understand what Toyota specifically recommends when it comes to fluids, parts, and long-term maintenance. That kind of care and attention is rare these days.

Now let’s be clear—everyone at this location is capable and professional, but Johnny? He’s different. He doesn’t just complete the task and move on. He takes the time to explain, make jokes, go with my sass, and make sure I’m leaving confident and safe. I’m the one giving him a hard time half the time, and he rolls with it like a pro.

What really means the most to me is that he looks out not just for my car, but for my children’s cars too. He genuinely cares that our vehicles are running right and safe for the long haul. I’m not gonna lie—once Johnny leaves, I probably will too. He’s that good. Give this man a raise!

Outstanding customer service from Big O in Elko Nevada, tonight. Stopped to have my tire indicator checked and they came running out and made sure all tires were set and even reset my car settings to read properly.

Had a wonderful (as always) experience with my recent oil change, filter change, & tire rotation at the Elko Big O. The customer service team is ALWAYS kind, punctual, and ready to answer questions. I needed a pair of tires in a hurry. Of the three places I tried, they were the only ones who had them in stock. I had them back in enough time to leave on schedule. Poor planning on my part, but they got me out of a bind.

Bait & switch scam. I got a tire separation during my rv vacation & needed 2 tires 17565R18. I called & spoke with Keefer Campbell who assured me stock on the size and price. AAA changed out my spare & I drove 40 miles to Big O. Keeper wrote up the order and went to lunch getting a call from Johnny saying Keefer was out and that there was only one tire and the more expensive tires were available. I was told he could have the original tires the next day. I could not stay another day in my RV site with my disabled wife and had no choice but buy tires more than twice the price. When I complained to Tyrel Harlan the owner he appeared nonchalant and smiled. The signs say "let us earn your trust" this did not happen. The problem occurred, Mr Harlan, due to your inaccurate method of reconciliation tire inventory or you had the tires and wanted to upsale to a more $$ tire. I am also disappointed that my spare was not placed back and I had to return to correct that. The performance of the overpriced tires cause sway in the rear. I will try to correct this issue upon return to my hometown Big O and Corporate, and get the tires I originally wanted. I am a long time Big O customer. But will not recommend your location.

very helpful and efficient, went in around 1pm as a walk in for a pre travel check and tire rotation on my little bronco and johnny took it straight back right after! he’s always great and that’s why ill keep bringing my vehicles back rather than other places. :)

I made the mistake of buying wheels and tires from an online dealer. Sure they look great, but after installing my truck shook like CRAZY! Went and visited fine folks at my local Big O, Tyrel and his team immediately went to work trying to make it right. They were able to rebalance two of the tires appropriately, and start the warranty process for the other two to get me two new tires. I’ve learned a valuable lesson. If you call northern Nevada home, I encourage you to stop by Big O. They will take care of you. I will forever be a Elko Big O customer for life!

They were so friendly and helpful! I had Johnny help me find tires and rims and very good pricing. They came within 2 buisness days. They put them on very quickly. Will definitely be using them again for any of my tire needs.

Ive been a Big O Tires in Elko NV customer for over 20yrs. They always do a great job. And every team member there is awesome.

Came there at the last minute for a oil change and they were able to get me in before close. Appreciated that a lot.

Big O never disappoints. At Big o they tell me what they think or know I need but they also take the time to show me the problem and why it may need replaced or what not. The guys in there are always nice and respectful.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had getting tires!! From the greeting when I walked in to me my car up. I would recommend Big O to anyone.

I can’t thank Tyrel and whole team at Big O! I recently got a great deal on tires from Tyrel. Then a friend had a flat tire and couldn’t get the lug nuts off. Tyrel sent someone to come help, didn’t charge for the service call, and got her back on the road in no time! Everyone was wonderful!

Had gone in for a low tire pressure and they spotted a screw in the tire. Took it back to fix it. Due to the placement of the screw they were unable to repair it so gave me a new tire.

Instead of working on what I asked them to do they tried to find other things to charge me for. Waited 2 hours for an oil change. Didn't balance getting tire like asked. Couldn't fix a leak on a tire cause it was too low for their standards. Just wanted to sell me 2 new tires. The threads not even to low
They want you in to find things that are barely a problem to charge you more and increase sales.

Prices were very comparable to other tires and services than most other shops I checked around for prices. All 6 tires were in stock and they did pretty good on time getting everything completed. I will need to do a follow up however because I feel that either some weights were thrown or not quite balanced on the back wheels since I have some vibration in the seats from the back. This is minor and otherwise I feel the service was great and they were knowledgeable about everything.

First time here on a referral could not be more please. Friendly, professional and honest. They did not try to sell me something I did not need. The price was right.

I came in early and my car was serviced quickly. I got an alignment and no one tried to sell me a lot of other things I did not need. I appreciate that!

This is a different trans it was shifting very hard before but now shifting much better so far do good thanks
