Big Fish did a great job fixing my roof after a massive hail storm. They came out really fast and even moved me up to be scheduled the very next week. Ryan was excellent in communicating throughout the whole process and was always available for a question, he even temporarily patched a leak in my roof before the contractors could come out.
The crew spent extra time going over my lawn and flower beds with the magnets to ensure all nails were picked up and they did a fabulous job covering up my flowers so nothing got destroyed. They even saw that I had some branches piled up from my own landscaping project and took that with them, which was incredibly kind.

Big Fish paid close attention to all the details and completed the entire roof replacement in a day. Adam went the distance to provide all the information and pictures we needed in order to make confident decisions. We continue to refer them to everyone in need of exterior remodeling!

Today, I am calling a company to fix the soffit that is falling from the underside of our roof. It was fine until Big Fish did our roof. They did a fine job on the roof, but left us with a mess of a soffit. For about two years we have emailed, called, called, and emailed, requesting them to come out and finish the job they started. They didn't refuse to come out... they just refused to respond. So now we pay to have their mistake repaired. All of the people were so nice... until they weren't. So awkward, and very frustrating.

Excellent job! Roof was completed in one day, gutters were replaced in less than 4 hours!! Great protection of my shrubs and excellent clean up. Very pleased. Thank you!!

Zach was giving a roofing estimate to my neighbor and noticed an issue with the siding that had developed that Big Fish installed a couple of years prior. He came out out and addressed the issue for us and did a great job. Thanks Zach!

Big Fish did our roof in Oconomowoc when we had the large hailstorm and we did not have great experience. Broke a piece of siding and just left open, were quick to send me bill, mentioned spot but nothing. Roof is leaking, was not before. 7 years before had new roof and never a leak. Big fish put on new roof now it leaks.

I worked with Big Fish for a roof replacement. They were an easy hire because two different friends had recommended them AND they came through with the least expensive quote. Adam was my main contact and he was straightforward, friendly, and a good communicator. He even did the communication with our solar panel company to coordinate timing of when the panels would be removed before the roofing crew came. The crew did the entire tear-off and installation in one day. They were efficient and cleaned up when they were finished. Tanya at Big Fish also helped with scheduling and answering questions. Billing was an easy process too. Hire with confidence!

I can highly recommend Big Fish without reservation. They recently finished my beautiful new roof. Several years ago they replaced my windows, siding and gutters. All of their work has been outstanding. Their roofers and carpenters are skilled , hardworking and personable. They completed my sizable roof in a day and then cleaned up everything. You could not tell that anyone had even been here. I have already received compliments on my new roof. I am very proud of it. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely call on them again if I need any further work.

Zack, our sales rep, was very knowledgeable, customer focused, and gave us needed advice. Tommy and his installation team worked tirelessly. They finished our ranch house using flashlights because the next day rain and snow were expected. They did a nice job cleaning up. The next day, being cold and rainy, we were surprised to see Tommy again going around our house picking up all of the nails! He even was taking some out between the slats in our deck! He went way beyond expectation.

Big Fish performed a siding and window replacement job for me in October, 2024. I was very satisfied with their workmanship, quality and attention to detail. Paul, the project manager, was excellent at explaining the scope of the work, coordinating the various trades involved in the work, and communicating the schedule. They cleaned up after themselves, kept the jobsite orderly, and did not drag dirt into the house. When one of the window frames was damaged during installation, the window installer acknowledged the damage and a new frame was ordered and subsequently installed. I will use Big Fish again for further window replacements. Highly recommend for quality workmanship.

After getting three quotes we had our roof and gutters replaced two years ago by Big Fish and liked them so much we had them come back (after getting another three quotes) and replace our cider and brick siding with PL smart siding. We also had them replace the cider deck and hand railings. Eric and the guys at Big Fish are top notch working with you every step of the way, if I had a question about anything it was answered within 15 minutes or less no matter what day or time.

Everything good about this company that you read in these reviews are absolutely spot on. From beginning to end, from office to installation they are what companies should aspire to be. We had delays, due to being Winter, but they were upfront and honest all the time. Communication was above and beyond. Service was above and beyond and quality was above and beyond. My only regret is that I can’t give these guys more than 5 stars.
Do yourself a favor and hire these guys. You won’t be disappointed and they take the stress of jobs of this magnitude away.

Jason and Team just finished our roof within the last week or so. Big Fish Contracting did an amazing job on our home. We signed with them to replace our roof, facia, gutters, downspouts, and trim around the home.

They did an amazing job and made a 25 year old home look new. We found the staff to be extremely friendly. They communicated with us at all phases of the project and kept us apprised of all dates as we worked through the endless rain of the spring of 2024.

Their pricing was extremely competitive with the three other contractors we sought quotes from. They have been in the business for a long time, which I find important when assessing as to whether or not they will still be around if I need help in the future.

Honest, upfront and thorough in looking beyond what most have seen for preview of job. We have 2 new skylights they are installing, and a roof with many peeks and valleys.

Big fish just recently completed the third roof for me. They do such a great job! They are organized, communicative, prompt, thorough in their work, and they clean up really well!

Jason met with me and gave me an estimate. I told him I wanted to move forward and he never reached back out. Very disappointed, hired someone else.

When they installed a new roof on my garage they compromised the integrity of the existing leaf guard system. One of the gutters is now out of alignment as well. I’ve sent pictures and emails to hopefully get this resolved. I’m hoping they get this taken cared of and if they do I’ll change my rating. Otherwise I don’t recommend this company. Update… they did try to fix it and it’s as good as it’s going to get so I updated my rating.

We had an insurance claim for a hole in our roof in September. They said they would send someone out. Jason came out and seemed very disinterested in the project from the start. There is damage inside the house, as well as a few other projects above and beyond that we wanted looked at. He told me he didn’t quote interior work, would give me to another person(never did). Told me they wouldn’t be able to get to the roof until November. We said that would be fine. Never heard anything back. Tried emailing several times to no response. Called October 19th and now told by Tonya that they are book pretty much into Winter. We have a bunch of work we are looking to get done but they have lost the opportunity to have us as a customer.

This was a roof replacement for a condo association of 20 side-by-sides, 40 owners. It was well orchestrated and stayed on schedule even with weather issues. Employees were all very respectful and kept the work area clean and safe.

I would highly recommend Big Fish Contracting to anyone looking for home improvement project/needs on their house. I had a new roof/gutters/and downspouts put on my house and Jason was great to work with before/during, and after the completion of the project. After a hailstorm did significant damage to my roof, I contacted Big Fish Contracting to figure out what to do next. They were exceptionally helpful getting the process going and got me on their schedule quickly. The work they performed was top-notch, and I couldn't be happier!

These guys are amazing. Very detailed and perfectionist which is what you want on your home. Along with outstanding workmanship, It's the things that can't be seen by the homeowner that sets them apart from others. Kick out flashing to divert water, flashings under siding to ensure water doesn't get underneath, Ice and Water shield, repairing any boards. All things that make your roof better and last longer but you would never notice. They use a high quality shingle and they work with you to make sure you select the right products

They installed roof, skylight, and gutters for me.

Their office manager sent me emails daily on when they were expected to start, and she kept me informed on any rain delays. The contractor would stop over multiple times during the work to see how it was going and to give me updates.

They cover all the windows during tear off. They pick up at the end of every day. You can't tell they were there, except for how amazing your home looks.

I know many friends who used someone else, and their contractors were constantly coming out after the fact to fix things that were missed during install. You won't get that with Big Fish.

Big Fish did a fantastic job on our home. We had damage from the recent hailstorm and they replaced our roof, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and skylight. The work was done in 2 days. The crews were very efficient. Everything ran smoothly, from the first meeting with Jason, to the delivery of the materials and the installation. They cleaned up all of the materials and covered/took special care of our plants and landscaping. We were one of the first homes in the area to have our project completed. We are very pleased with the work and how it was done and we highly recommended Big Fish Contracting.

Two big thumbs up for Big Fish Contracting! I had a complete roof tear off and replacement along with all new gutters. Jason and Tanya were always friendly, quick to respond by phone, text or email. Jason did a great job of explaining options to me, sending color examples, and keeping in touch. The quote was in line with other company quotes, but my neighbor used Big Fish a few years ago and their roof still looks great.

All materials were delivered the day before. The crew came early to avoid the 100F heat index and immediately got to work. TJ checked in to see if I had any questions. Plants and lawn were covered with large tarps. My neighbor texted me with “Wow! this crew is efficient” when ½ of the front side was already done. Even though they were speedy, care and details were taken care of. The cleanup crew were constantly filling bins and running the magnet around to collect nails. The roof was done in a day and the gutter guys came the next day. The gutter team was just as friendly and quick.

I recommend Big Fish for any service you need done, and will definitely use them again!

We have worked with Big Fish Contracting twice for our home. Extremely happy both times. We've had our roof replaced, new soffits and fascia and gutters installed. Couldn't be happier!

We purchased our house fall of 2020 and thought we had at least 5 years left in the roof and maybe 10 for the siding. Within a year we had water coming into our first-floor family room. We got several quotes and chose Big Fish. After we signed for the roof, we found multiple areas of rot in the cedar siding and proceeded to get quotes on siding. What impacted our decision to go with Big Fish was cost, honesty and the fact that Erik never pressured us or tried to upsell us. Over the course of several months Big Fish replaced our roof including rotten deck board, tore out and rebuilt the rotten window box in our family room (another surprise we found after a case of carpenter ants) and replaced all the cedar siding with LP.
Contract: Quote was upfront, honest, transparent and priced well. Tanya in the office was so kind and responsive with all our questions/ concerns along the way. Even with minor concerns we were never made to feel like a nuisance but always sympathized with. And in the end the final bill was in budget as planned!
Crew: Big Fish has a great crew and they know it! Of the three jobs they did for us, everyone who came out was so respectful, hardworking and took pride in what they were doing. Because we have dogs that run the yard, they always made sure to clean up at the end of each shift.
Craftmanship: We love the look and quality of our home’s exterior. Especially how Erik replaced the scalloped porch trim and replaced it with straight lines. We’ve always wanted a blue house with white trim and couldn’t be happier. We are relieved to finally have a house with a reliable exterior!

Big Fish just completed work at our house where they completed new roof, new gutters, gutter guard and some siding replacement work. Unfortunately, after MONTHS of me trying to follow up for a quote from Chad W for work on rotting wood on the exterior of our house; that he said he'd finish the next day. I contacted the owner, Erik. Erik assured me he would get Chad to get the bid over by the end of the week. It's been months and have since gone with a different company. I never received the quote. I shouldn't have to track down a company for them to do work, huge disappointment because I had heard they did good work.

I was initially very impressed with Big Fish Contracting. They completed our roof (tear off and install) without problems. My disappointment lies in the fact that we chose them because they said they would also repair missing brick on the front of our house. They reassured us that they are full service and would complete the brick repair once the roof was completed (It is a small brick job which makes it difficult for us to find a bricklayer who would do just that job). Months have passed (almost 1 year) since they completed our roof and despite multiple emails and calls to the company (including one where I was told the owner would be consulted regarding my complaint), no one has followed through on providing us with the brick repair quote and service. I am very disappointed as Chad had promised that they would provide the brick repair following the roof replacement. Once they received our check for the roof work, there has been no follow-through on that promise. Now, we are left once again, with a small brick repair job that no one will do on its own.

Big Fish did a great job installing a new roof and gutter system. Erik and I also discussed changing some gutters and he went through the calculation to determine the gutters originally put on the house were too small to handle the amount of water from the roof. Installation of the roof was completed in one day, even my neighbors couldn't believe it was done that quick. Big Fish also communicated very well once we were on the schedule, we had a few rain delays and they always let me know right away in the morning. Very satisfied with their work and the CertianTeed Northgate shingle in Driftwood, picking the shingle color was the hardest part of the whole process.

From beginning to end, Big Fish and Erik D and crew, did a great job. The price was competitive, the work was done on time, communication was great, concerns were handled appropriately, crew showed up early or on time, they were respectful of our property, and more. They did a complete tear off, and partial re-decking and installed skylights in one day. Another crew came to do gutters the next day . Looks great. Would definitely recommend Big Fish.

This morning on my way to work, my car wheels slid on icy road conditions onto the side of the road and was stuck in the snowbank. While I waiting for police to come, Erik pulled over, asked me if I was OK, and offered to get his work truck and pull me out. He drove away and the police arrived. Moments later Erik was there with his truck and chain, and my car was back on the road within minutes. Erik is a very kind person who went out of his way to help a stranger. He refused to take any payment, even when the police officer asked him to take it. The police said I was very lucky to have someone help me like that.

I will definitely contact this company if my family ever need work done on our house!

The roof was completed in a day and so far no issues so I'm very happy with that aspect of the work. However I would not recommend using them for add-ons. They said they could install a Solatube but they could not. The unit they received was bent but they installed it anyway telling me they would come back later to swap it out. They never came back, never hooked up the electrical to it, and never vented it properly so now I have to crawl up into the attic and try to figure out how to vent it. I'm glad at least I noticed it wasn't vented correctly or it would have been pumping moist air into my attic causing potential issues. Unfortunately I've paid them already so they never got back to me on finishing the job. So, for a roof they are probably fine but I would not recommend that they do anything beyond that.

In response to the electrical comment, I was originally told that you would be hooking it up. I was then informed later that you were no longer working with the electrician that you had been subcontracting. So that's kind of a grey area for you to claim that you were never contracted to do the electrical. Regardless, the venting discharge was never installed and the unit that was installed does have a minor defect which no one ever returned to correct. As far as being a phone call away, several attempts were made to reach out to you and I was repeatedly told that someone would get back to me to schedule the completion, but no one ever did.

I was very impressed with the workmanship and responsiveness of the Big Fish staff and workers! They did an excellent job on our roof and gutters, and we could not be more happy! Lots of compliments from neighbors, in fact 2 of them chose to use them for their roof repair as well.

They were fantastic! I was very concerned about the landscaping around my house. They took care not to touch any of it. I could not even tell they had been there. Eric addressed all of the concerns we had with our previous roof. The roof looks awesome and it was done in 1 day!

I would recommend watching this company very closely if you choose to hire and get everything in writing. They did our siding, deck, and exterior garage door replacement. I had the following issues: damage to my driveway when the Sorce waste bin was dropped onto my driveway without any protection on day 1 of job/siding installers buried my doorbell which had to be redone/difficulty communicating with siding installers as they spoke little English/initially overcharging on electrical work for lighting under soffits over deck/difficultly getting them to put telephone box and wiring back in place/had to paint it and the electrical box myself/forgot to caulk exterior door/initially painted exterior door wrong color/placed 3 pieces of siding sideways under front window instead of vertically like the rest of the siding which looks odd.

Update: I have sent several texts and photos of the horizontal siding issue under my window to Big Fish and tried talking to the siding installer, to no avail. I now have squirrel chewing damage on my lp siding. I was told they would not work with me and would do nothing to help with either of these issues and that I was not an “upstanding” person.They would not allow me to keep any of the left over custom-colored siding at time of install for any future repairs. I was told I would be given the numbers for my job materials and to find someone else. As to the comments below by Big Fish, I have yet to hear the “other side of the story” myself and I am the client involved. I would love a little authenticity and integrity. I am simply stating the facts of what occurred in my dealings with this contractor so others may become more aware when making their decisions and avoid difficulties as it is a large investment that is usually being made.

Most recent update: Several nails used in my lp siding job are rusting and have to be sanded/caulked/painted. Siding is just a few years old.

One thing that you might find helpful is if you have a walk up attic that is in an area that is to be sided, remove any stored items such as boards from the stud bays. The fasteners used for the Tyvek and/or siding can penetrate through to the boards and make it difficult to impossible to remove them. I found this out the hard way.

Erik and the entire Big Fish Team are the real deal. We hired them to do a complete exterior makeover of our home. New roof, new siding, new windows, new doors, new front porch, new garage doors, new gutters and downspouts, facia, etc.

Our house looks amazing. Each team that was at our house was professional, clean and efficient. Communication was great all around as well.

Erik is extremely caring and only wants to make your house look it’s best. He delivered.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use Big Fish again or recommend them to anyone looking for similar project needs.

We had our roof done. Sales guy (Erik) was outstanding. They offered a good price. Not necessarily the lowest, but a decent price and he instilled trust. His crew was amazing. They worked hard and fast and did quality work. Our roof was stripped and replaced in less than 8 hours and not a trace to be found of debris. Erik also suggested a ventilation change that I believe has fixed a long standing issue we have had. Erik was also very responsive to questions both before and after the bid was won.

A warranty is only worth a much as the company who offers it and with Big Fish it's worth nothing.

We have issues with a repair that they made and left multiple messages and emails and the only time I ever received a call back was a promise that they would get back to me early the following week and never did.

I'm shocked at all the 5 star reviews as the quality of the initial work was sub par at best, took longer than promised and the end result was mediocre.

I would be very weary to have Big Fish tackle any large project you have as it doesn't seem like their work is made to last longer than it takes for the check to clear.
