Best West Roofing did a fantastic job with reroofing the leaky old roof of our house. The new roof is a 2 layer torch on roofing system with IKO ISO 3" insulation and slope package. Also, new skylight replacements and metal caps and flashing on the roof were done. The end result is outstanding and such a huge difference from our previous old roof. Rob and his team are professional, hard working and communicated clearly throughout the process. The quote was detailed and Rob answered our many questions along the way. Best West roofing did a repair on my roof last year, several months later it was leaking in the same spot. When I called them I explained the problem and was told that it likely not the same problem, we are really busy right now so it will be two weeks or more to come, and there is no warranty on this type of work. So, this has left me feeling that my previous business with them did not result in my receiving any priority for what is very possibly the same problem. I'm not particularly satisfied with best West roofing customer service.

Calvin and his staff were excellent to deal with and did extremely good and neat work. There finishing price was exactly as quoted and they were excellent to have around my home. Thanks gents

We had a significant leak in our roof. After calling two other companies and not even hearing back. I contacted Best West Roofing. Tyler contacted me the same day. Told me when he would be there, arrived on time, figured out the problem, explained what needed to be done and why, gave reasonable estimates, got the work done quickly, answered any questions I had and took photos so he could further explain the work. The current practice of many contractors now is to Google Earth your house and not even bother showing up to actually look at the work before giving you an estimate. This was not the case with your company, which I really appreciated. After explaining that we were trying to get a few more years out of our existing roof, he didn't try upselling a new roof to us. He offered workable solutions instead. It is clear he cares about doing a great job. He is professional, courteous, efficient, competent and reliable. And has a great sense of humour to boot. When I had to call him back about a problem towards the end of his shift, instead of putting me off to the next day, he explained he was on his way back from Maple Ridge via Langley and would get to our house in New West as soon as possible. Which he did. Your company is extremely fortunate to have Tyler as your representative. I have already recommended him to one person and after dealing with him, will continue to recommend Best West Roofing to friends and family. Job well done, Tyler!

We first called Rob from Best West roofing 3 or 4 years ago. We have an old house with a leak and needed a new roof. He helped us patch the leak right away, and when his team replaced our roof they were all very professional and respectful, as I was home with a 6 month old at the time. They were tidy and made a point of picking up every nail at the end of the job that dropped around our house, as we had a toddler at at time too. They even helped dispose of an old Christmas tree from the side of the house that my husband had failed to remove lol. A few weeks after we got our new roof, there was a big wind storm and a massive tree branch dropped and broke one of skylights. We called Rob and he was over within 45 min ( over the holidays), and secured the skylight to keep us dry until the replacement was ready a few days later. Flash forward to 3/4 years later- again, we live in an old house and a leak has sprung up. We called Rob who came almost immediately on the same on a rainy windy day, identified the problem and how to fix it ( it was not the roof nor his work that was the problem). We appreciate the longstanding, rapid service and high quality that Rob and Best West roofing provide. We highly recommend them!

I am very pleased with Tyler on everything from beginning to the end for my snow guards installation and other repairs on my roof. Tyler is a very nice, kind, polite, pleasant, experienced, knowledgeable, and he is the one that I feel I can trust with any roofing project. He took time to inspect my roof , explained carefully and clearly what needs to be done. He showed up as he promised, carried out the work on time and professionally. Tyler from Best West Roofing is a pleasure to deal with. He originally came out in January 2020 to address a leak we had coming through our kitchen ceiling. At first, I was a bit disappointed that Brock didn't come out when we called (because most of the reviews referred to him), but Tyler was extremely professional and took great care with his work. We are really glad he was assigned to us as he is a pleasure to deal with.

He fixed the leak we had, and then advised us what work needed to be done to prevent future issues from arising. We never felt pressured or like he was trying to make us spend unncessarily but that he sincerely wanted to help us maintain and extend the life of our roof as much as possible before having to replace it or encounter major issues.

We took our time thinking about it and had the suggested work done in September 2020 to prepare for the rainy season. We should have done it right away as there was a small wait once the busy roofing season hit over the summer, but Tyler kept us updated as to where we were in the queue and we love the extra care and attention he provided. He even removed some chicken bones that crows had carried onto our roof and caulked a small area of our gutter that was leaking. Those were small things, but I appreciate how he treated the area like it was his own and didn't just ignore the garbage on the roof or just brush it off the side nor wait until we had a more serious issue with the leaking gutter.

It's clear he cares about his work and reputation. I will definately continue to call Tyler at Best West Roofing for any issues that come up with our roof in the future as well as recommend them to family and friends.

We had a ponding/drainage issue on our rooftop patio due to original framing deficiency. Additional roofing felt was installed to reduce the ponding. Nazir and Ryan were so polite , pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this team.

I have worked with Best West roofing for at least 5 years now to address insurance claims for roof leaks and their reporting, workmanship and communication has been impecable.

I can't say enough good things about Brock and his crew. They were honest, professional and, overall, just great people to work with from start to finish.

For me, hiring trades is like going to the dentist. Since I'm 100% at their mercy, it's critical to find someone I can trust. A few months ago, my wife came across BestWest Roofing through a closed Facebook group. We were looking for the "go to" guys on the North Shore for torch-on roofs, as we wanted a quote to replace ours. It wasn't leaking or anything, but I was pretty certain it was nearing its end-of-life (our wood ceilings have water stains throughout from the roof failing on the former owners and I didn't want a repeat performance).

Fast forward and, a foot of snow later, our roof starts leaking. So I called Brock. He came out the next day and said the roof's in pretty good shape overall and that he wouldn't replace it if it were him. What?! I figure he's using reverse psychology on me, so I go through all my concerns about our current roof (small downspouts, pooling water in places, etc.). He took his time to go over the various issues, explaining them one by one (as well as what could be done about them). In the end, he convinced me it would be better to simply repair the leak and fix those issues down the road when the roof needs replacing.

As for the "fix", there was no hard sell--at all. He said I could wait to see if the leak might have been a one-off caused by the snow, pointed out where he thought the leak was coming from so that I could caulk it myself to see if that would do the trick, etc. I ended up pressing HIM to do more work than was strictly needed to fix the leak, and he suggested a custom metal chimney wrap to deal with some crumbling mortar on the fireplace that was bugging me, which would also deal with the source of the leak.

Tyler came out to measure up the chimney, checking the colour against our current flashing using a swatch (to ensure as close a match as possible), and even fixed up our crummy interim "saran wrap" job on the chimney without saying a word.  When I asked him about it, he said he couldn't just leave it like that (and wasn't sure if it was us or someone from BestWest who did it--talk about grace, because I knew he knew exactly who did that hatchet job!).  That pretty much says it all.  Fix something that isn't right, even if it's not part of "your job".  Not because you're looking for credit (he didn't even mention it), but because it's the right thing to do.

The next time the rain stopped, Tyler was back out to fix the roof and everything is now dry (and looks great!). Being curious, I had a quick peek (with a flashlight!) while the job was being done and could see the attention to detail in places that will never see the light of day with the chimney wrap in place!

I know this is a pretty wordy review, but I didn't know how else to convey just how great these guys were, from the original call/quote to the final communication/bill, everything was prompt, thorough and professional, and I was kept informed every step of the way.

Brock and his team at Best West Roofing re-roofed a Commercial Property for us recently. We are very happy with the workmanship and Professionalism that we were shown. I highly recommend them, what I am amased at they have not even scratched my Tar driveway, special thanks to Rob for his timing, coming for estimation and inspection. Brock and his team were brought in to repair our less than 5 year old roof that was leaking. He informed us that the metal roof could not be used with our relatively flat roof. Something that our previous roofer did not tell us. Now that the repair is complete I can sleep easily knowing that we won't encounter all the leaking issues we've experienced thus far. It’s unfortunate how rare it is to find people who really care about doing the job right the first time. They were very considerate in making sure there was as little debris as possible at the end of each day. We experienced very little disruption during the project. The metal trim they installed along the edges was impeccable. Very clean lines, just beautiful work. Brock and his team definitely take pride in their work and it shows in the results. We had some repair and maintenance work done on our roof by BestWest Roofing and they were great. Brock did the initial visit and the work in our case. I had some items I wanted addressed and on initial visit he investigated my concerns and checked for any other potential problems. Brock was very professional and thorough suggesting some things to be done now and some things that would be okay for now but would be good to address at the time of the next re-roof years down the road. He definitely wasn't looking to add work that didn't need to be done. He sent a quote within a day and gave an estimate of when the work could be done. Brock was also good about keeping in communication so I knew how he was tracking to the schedule and he ended up performing the work close to the original estimated date. On the job, Brock was courteous, professional and did a thorough job. You could really tell that he was thinking about what he was doing along the way. He ended up doing a few little extras from the original quote and kept to the original price. I'm very happy with the work done and would definitely recommend BestWest Roofing.

I called them and not only did they come the very next day, they have us two quotes: one a temporary fix and one a more permanent fix. I liked that they were honest and professional and very prompt. From their initial quote to the final clean-up, our experience with Best West Roofing exceeded our expectations in every way. We hired BestWest Roofing to replace our 20 years old cedar shingled roof with a new Enviroshake roof. Robert Fee and his team did an outstanding job and we are thrilled with the result. Highly recommend! We discover a leak in our roof on a Friday evening. Best West was able to come out and have a look on Saturday morning, and completed our repairs by Monday afternoon. Brock took pictures of the problem and took time to explain what was happening; there were 2 issues causing the leak - moss and the seal around our chimney. Best West completed the chimney repair and brought the moss-removal product for us to clean the moss ourselves, saving us money. We were impressed by their professional service, efficient work, and excellent customer service. We will definitely use them again when it comes time to replace the whole roof!

I found BestWest Roofing through friends. A squirrel ripped a hole in our roof during the rainiest week in Vancouver. I called BestWest Roofing in the evening and they came the next morning to see if they could fix the leak. They did, and asked if I wanted a quote on my roof. Brock was the one that did the quote. He gave me a breakdown of all the costs and gave me alternative options for costs savings. We were able to book the job while my family and I were out of town. When we came back home, a new roof was on our house, but there was no evidence that any construction had been done on our property; the yard was clean, and there was no old roof garbage.
