This is my 2nd experience with Best Windows & Doors in the past past 5 years…. I could not be happier with their service & professionalism. AAA+++

John and Jacob were the best! They came quickly after I called and were polite and knowledgeable. Had our garage door fixed in 30 minutes!

Best Door and Window installed our garage doors when we built our home over 15 years ago. We never had an issue with the installation and function of the doors. After the tornado, we went back to Best Door and Window to replace our storm damaged doors. We had great customer service! We did need to have a minor adjust made to the tension on one of the doors but Dan was quick to take care of it. I highly recommend this company for their great customer service, and the professionalism of those who completed the installation.

Best Doors and Windows has been selling, servicing and maintaining my families homes for 30+ years. Recently had them install a rear patio door and 8 windows, all of odd different sizes. Shocked how quickly and efficiently Best Doors and Windows Install Team (Trey, James, Heath and Ethan), can get things done! Top notch professional workers whom are very hard working.
When you call to get measurements done for them to put the order in, the longest time is waiting on the order to come in and then expect it to be installed super fast! I have always been amazed at their service, which has kept me and my family as a regular customer for decades. Over the years the experience and professionalism as well as services they provide have only gotten better in quality every transaction.
Special thanks to Dan and Alan! I would recommend to anyone needing windows, doors or garage doors. I just found out they now do gutters also! Looks like I’m going to be contacting them again very soon!

The crew did another great job for us last week replacing our back door. We had ordered one through another company and after months of waiting, the door came in and was the wrong size. BD&W had replaced a window for us last year so we called them again knowing we should have just done it in the 1st place.

The new door came in, WAS THE RIGHT SIZE, and the crew installed in without issue other than some old trim that was being difficult. They were professional, polite, and cleaned up their mess when finished.

We are continuing to upgrade windows and doors in our home and will be only working with BD&W in the future.

While we haven't had any work done by Best Door and Window (yet), we would 100% NOT shop anywhere else. I have heard nothing but great things about their work and for a place to hire a young man right out of school and give him a chance holds so much value to me and my family. The way they have taken him in and help him learn, grow, and love his trade says so much about the company itself. Thank you Best Door and Window for the opportunity you provided for our son and for the quality and hard work you put into every job.

1 star because I can’t leave ZERO.

We hired Best Door & Window on October 18, 2024, to replace one broken window in our home for $2,749.47. We paid half upfront, with installation scheduled between November 25 and December 6, 2024. Reasonable enough—except we heard nothing after signing the contract.

On November 26, 2024, I reached out to the sales rep I had been in contact with (unaware he was let go) to ask for an update, since winter was approaching and this was a broken window in our son’s room. On December 3, 2024, they finally called to inform me the window hadn’t even arrived yet and blamed the lack of communication on the fired rep—despite claiming they had access to his emails the entire time. Apparently, keeping a paying customer informed was just too much effort.

Fast forward to December 23, 2024—installation day. The workmanship? Wow. We ended up with:
-Broken solid wood trim
-Cracked siding
-A damaged window sill
-Caulking that looked like a toddler applied it

We emailed Alan, the owner, on December 26, 2024, to raise our concerns. His “solution”? Pass it off to his employees, offer a laughable $374 discount, or send his crew back to “fix” the disaster. Spoiler alert: $374 wouldn’t even cover hiring a real contractor to fix this mess. But since the contract required us to give them a chance to make it right, we reluctantly agreed.

After ongoing communication a repair was scheduled for January 15, 2025, but postponed to January 17 due to weather. Dan, an employee, showed up with another worker. Dan was professional and actually the only one to apologize throughout this ordeal. He addressed the exterior issues as best he could (except for the cracked siding), but the interior was another story.

The result?
-Sloppy caulking was scraped off, taking a layer of wood with it.
-The broken trim was not replaced—just pushed closer to “hide” the gap.
-The window sill remained damaged.
-Caulking was still uneven and messy.

We contacted Alan again on January 18, 2025, to express our continued disappointment. On January 20, 2025, Alan responded by denying responsibility for the broken trim, claiming it was already damaged before their work, and insisting the matter was “concluded.” He demanded we pay the remaining balance and threatened late fees and collections, ending his email with: “We consider this matter closed and will not be responding to any further communication from you.”

If that wasn’t bad enough—we sent a certified letter on January 22, 2025, formally notifying them of the unresolved defects and that we would not pay the balance until the issues were fixed. It was delivered on February 5, 2025. No response. But guess what? Alan wasted no time putting a frivolous lien on our home the next day for non-payment.

And the cherry on top? The window itself isn’t even functional! Our kids, including the one whose room it’s in, can barely open it past 8 inches—and that requires all their strength. I can barely budge it myself using my full body weight. Of course, Alan was informed of this too. And surprise, surprise—radio silence.

It’s truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

Do yourself a favor: RUN, don’t walk, away from Best Door & Window. If you enjoy paying top dollar for poor service, damaged property, and a side of arrogance, go ahead and give them a call. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and money go literally ANYWHERE else. If you still feel so inclined to go with this company take 300 before photos of your windows inside and out.

I have used Best Door and Window for multiple projects over the years. Just recently had them do a sliding glass door. They assured me the quality of their product and it would be installed in a timely manner. I had plans for a couple day or at least one long day for completion. After ordering and receiving the door, they came the following Friday and installed it from start to finish in less than 4 hours. We absolutely love the door and the guys were really courteous. They promptly cleaned up after finishing and asked me if I approved. Couldn't ask for a better product, service, or price for my future projects. Thanks guys. We will for sure be seeing you in the future.

Best Door and Window serviced our garage doors. The experience from start to finish, was awesome!! The young man who fixed our garage doors was professional, efficient, and explained everything that he was doing. I’m sorry that I didn’t get the service man’s name, he is definitely an asset to the company. Less than two hours, they were fixed and operational again. Would highly recommend Best Door and Window!!!

Jacob replaced the old seals on our garage doors and they are keeping out the wind, snow and water. We are very pleased with his work.

Recently purchased two exterior doors and they were installed last week. Four gentlemen came and had the job done quickly and professionally. Also the cleanup was great. We have had most of the windows in the house replaced by these folks and will be calling again in the Spring to replace the remaining windows. Top notch company and great employees. Will use again.

Best Door and Window installed all new windows in our house, a new front door, as well as new windows and a garage door in a pole barn. They are professional, responsive to questions, and all at a reasonable price. We were very satisfied with their service! Definitely recommend

Great service!!! I called in the afternoon on Thursday and John & Jacob were here Friday at 1pm. Replaced the old garage door opener. They were friendly, knowledgeable and worked in a very timely manner. By 2:30 they were cleaned up and leaving. You just don't get service like that anymore. My new windows replacing this companies best quality windows are now in and the difference is like night and day. You can actually see the difference in the installation workmanship. Look at the pics attached before you make any decisions. I had to spend another $5900 to replace and redo what Best Door and Window did.

I've added pictures that trim was removed showing no insulation or shims were used. Many people thought that was part of the problem. I've had to hire another company to fix what Best Door and Window could not resolve. This company changed hands a few years ago is my understanding. If you had something done years ago, it's not the previous owners now. The photos I have added are at the end of the pictures. I have additional photos and videos, but I don't believe that is necessary. Just be careful when hiring anyone.

I have seen the good reviews but also some really bad reviews on FB groups. Here is a video of my windows. Best Door and Window haven't done a thing to correct bc they "don't know what is wrong".. They've been here a few times, but it's not fixed.

After seeing this, you will understand why 1 star is being kind. Video attached says it all.

After months of Best Door and Window Huntsville trying to stop the unbelievable amount of wind coming in from the best windows they had. Home Guard Innovations Double Hung vinyl windows, this morning Alan Ocheltree, informed me there's nothing they can do and they WILL NOT be responding to me. So now, I suggest everyone do not use this company for anything. See pictures how I have to stop the west winds from entering my bedrooms.

Best door and windows did a great job, everything was done well, the guys was very knowledgeable, they were very respectful and professional, and were a great help in understanding the garage door and opener I purchased.

I highly recommend this place for any and all your doors and windows needs.

The name of this company includes the word Best and that they are! John and Jake worked thinking outside the box as they say to fix an unusual problem with our garage door. They are kind courteous professional detailed and they listen as the problem is explained to them . I would highly recommend them because they do an awesome job!

Found this company on Google for my clients in Lakeview and they came out the same week and gave a fair price for an upgraded insulated garage door. They exceeded all of our expectations and had the work done two weeks earlier than the projected timeline. Thank you Jake and the everyone at the company that did such great work for my clients. They came on a Monday afternoon and had it up in 2 hours! Works great so far and it is silent! Also it have much better seals than we had before

I could not be more pleased with the quality of materials and I could not be more pleased with the professionalism of the work done from beginning to end. Very polite and courteous personnel. Quick to respond to our needs on a storm damage insurance claim and also a quote for some other new windows. Professional and not looking to take advantage of you either.

The company has new ownership, beware. Jeff McGown is now gone. I needed help with a sliding door, Jeff came by and was down in 10 minutes and charged $92. New owners came out and performed same service and charged $230. We tried talking to the people but they could care less. Not the same company. Sounds like a business opportunity for someone.
