I hired RBK&E/ Silver Spring Kitchens to update my kitchen. After working with them, I highly recommend this company for these 3 reasons; their creativity, their attention to detail, and how easy they are to work with. I've never had this good of an experience with contractors before. Since that 1st project, I've contracted with them eight times to do various projects around my house.
I interviewed 3 firms before I hired RBK&E for my kitchen update. They were the only company that started with my wish list. During that 1st visit, Omar and Mila began to come up with options for how we could fit them all in. I was able to get the entire wish list and some other things that they came up with. The other companies I met with simply said "No" or ignored my requests in their proposals.
My house is in Silver Spring, one of those small houses inside the beltway, built in the 1940s. Because it's so old, just about everything has to be customized now. And Omar knows these houses! He anticipates the challenges (both known and potential) and then he is meticulous in the solution execution. Uneven walls, small spaces, and corrections for previous contractors' shortcuts were all considered and addressed when we discussed the plans for the project. As a result, there were fewer change orders. And when they were done, the attention to detail was amazing! It's like I have a new house now.
During the work, Omar was onsite daily. Mila kept me informed at the beginning of the day and the end of every day of the project so I knew what they planned to do, what they actually got done, any challenges, and how to prepare for the next day. She gave me one decision at a time, so I wasn't overwhelmed. She watched over the work and the subcontractors along with Omar to ensure that the job was delivered perfectly. As a single working woman, I appreciate how easy they are to work with and (as a plus) how reasonably priced they are.

Our kitchen floor surface was very obviously water damaged. Omar from RBK gave us an estimate which we accepted; they arrived exactly when they said they would, the work was performed quickly and competently; there was no mess and the floor looks perfect.

They fixed a broken pane of glass on my front door for a fraction of other estimates, without sacrificing professionalism or promptness. Highly recommend.
