I can’t say enough good things about Bear Creek Roofing! They’re honest, trustworthy, and the kind of business I feel confident recommending to others. If you think there’s an issue with your roof, definitely give them a call!

Bear Creek helped swap out my old rusted out swamp cooler and they did a tremendous job. They were very professional and everything was cleaned up quickly. Definitely will be using them again!

ETA: Editing my review to a 1 star because in working with the new roofing company I had a discussion with my insurance company who stated that they emailed Bear Creek back on Nov 10 stating that all they needed was a sample of the shingles. It was the 14th when I was told for the 3rd time by Beth that they hadn't heard anything from .y insurance and they may need to escalate to the supervisor. (Note that this was the 2nd week in a row she said this to me.) I'd be wary of working with someone who straight up lies and dismisses customers so easily.

These guys were super amazing until they just... weren't. Tim came right out and inspected my roof. He was timely, personable, and I truly thought was going to be who I was going to have repair my roof. In all honesty, if I had another conversation with him, he may have still been out here to do it, but that is where the problem is- his enthusiasm to help a single mom ended once he got in his truck and drove away.

He canceled last minute when he said he would be there to meet with the adjuster- no biggie, I figured that was just a sweet gesture. I gathered the insuranve info and sent it to his team and I have done nothing but try to follow up ever since. They have told me every time that they would reach out to me "early next week" but nobody does. Now today, a week after my last phone call- but I really don't want to pester and I keep hoping they will come through on their commitment of communicating with me- they just don't answer their phone.

I must be small potatoes for what they have going on right now but at least communicate that so I can move on before it snows and I have water damage too. I'm leaving 2 stars because I can see their quality of work is exceptional on my neighbor's house. He came highly recommended and I am frankly a little surprised it went the way it did.

I just think people looking to get their roof repaired or replaced need to know they may need a lot of time to work with these guys or may need to have extra time in their schedule to keep calling to get what they need. Regardless of whether it's an insurance slowdown or roofing company being busy, there really is no excuse for not following up with your customers on the dates you say you will.

We had Bear Creek Roofing replace our roof 5 years ago. We have had leaks in our roof over the carport, every year. Ridiculous for a new roof. We have had the latest one for over five months now. When we called about it, they sent over another contractor. Haven’t seen him either. I guess we’re going to have to get another company to take care of it, and take legal action, since we can’t get any answers from them. Don't count on them to honor any kind of warranty.

I’ve referred Bear Creek Roofing to several clients and the company is responsive and personable. They really care about people and they put others first. It is refreshing to refer a company that is so honest and conscientious of what others need.

He came out and looked to see if we were claimable and from that day to the day they were finished he was very professional. So glad we went with Bear Creek. Very professional. I called several weeks ago requesting an estimate for a new roof. I was told that an estimator would reach out to schedule an appointment. The only thing I received was several marketing/spam emails from their company about the good service they provide. I never got a call or text. I called again mentioning that and I was put on hold for a bit and then they hung up. I thought they’d be good but I won’t get a roof from them despite my efforts to get a roof.

Brett was a rock star! He was so patient and helpful as we worked through our insurance. The roof is suburb quality! It looks amazing. They were quick, yet thorough in every way. We love our new roof and would highly recommend the company! Thank you.

Everything from start to finish was easy. Prices were great. Tim educated me on the type of shingles I would want and found an issue with our ice and dam Area that no other roofers were going to repair

I called about butyl tape and she told that she answered the phone from home on the weekend she gave me the information on where I could get what I needed I was so thankful for her telling me where I could go and get what I needed I know she didn't have to help me but she did if I need help again I will go to Bear Creek roofing because they cared enough to help I can't thank her enough

Asked BCR to send someone to inspect our roof. Brett was very professional. He found that we didn't currently need any repairs or a new roof. He gave us an honest assessment that we really appreciated.

Bear creek roofing is very unprofessional and will not honor their warranty!!! We had BCR put on a new roof 3 years ago and two days after they finished the job the roof over the carport leaked. Maria S Berry not only assured us the roof would not leak but she also promised that if by chance it did leak she would personally take care of it right away. Well she didn’t take care of the problem because the carport is leaking in the same places it leaked before!! We have called BCR several times over a period of a week and Beth, Tim Berry-owner of BCR’s daughter refuses to return calls and will text saying someone will be over to look at the leak and no one has shown up. Beth also informed us that someone would call us back, by text messages and that still hasn’t happened. Please do your research because now my husband and I have to and will file all appropriate paperwork to make sure nobody else is subjected to false information and a leaking roof!! We have a 10 year warranty and if BCR cannot honor that we are prepared to go through whatever it takes to make sure the leak is fixed! Note: Brand new roof should have never leaked in the first place! Very disappointed, disgusted and dissatisfied from day one!

Update, we sued for breach of contract and won the case. We will never do business with this company again!! If something like this ever happens, don’t give up it’s worth getting justice.

Called these guys for repair on my daughter's house. The response time was second to none, super friendly took great care of my daughter. Highly recommend this company to anybody in need of roof repair.

I will never use anyone else for my roofing needs. My roof was damaged in a windstorm and Tim with Bear Creek came out to look at it the next day and then met with my insurance adjuster as well to make sure I was going to get what I needed. And then a week later my entire roof was stripped and done within a day and half. These guys are awesome and truly look out for their customers.

Where do we begin with how happy we are with the service and process of Bear Creek. The process was seamless and easy, from receiving a bid to scheduling the work.
They returned calls and texts and answered any questions or concerns we had.
Highly recommend. We wish we had a second house so we could use them again.

Update: It's been a year since our roof install. Excellent service and product. We had an issue with drainage that was not related to the new roof. The owner come out promptly to inspect. And generously and quickly fixed our issue. Thank you BCR!

Bear Creek Roofing was extremely professional and responsive when I called them for a new roof on my rental property. They did a fantastic job and always provided prompt and courteous communication. I definitely recommend them.

Last year, I had my roof and my gutters replaced by Bear Creek, when I found leaks this year it took me 3 weeks to get a call back and another week and a half to get someone to come out and look at what I thought was a problem, I was assured that it was my problem not theirs. Communications is the basis of a good relationship and yet Bear Creek seems to be unable to do that task.

Tim and Maria are a power couple! Their roofing business is on the same level! We had our roof evaluated and given the best next steps to get our roof in top shape. The work was done in a timely manner and very professional from start to finish! I highly recommend using them as their business is locally and family owned! Support small business!

Bear Creek did my roof last month and they did a phenomenal job. Beth in the office is lovely. She answered all my questions and helped me with my insurance as well. Owen was our project manager and was out at the job daily making sure it ran smoothly. When I stopped in the office Yeli assisted me and was very knowledgeable. The roof was done very fast and looks incredible. I highly recommend bear creek!!

Used Bear Creek Roofing recently for a complete tear down and new roof installation. It was after a wind storm did some damage and they were able to get my insurance to cover the cost. I worked with Taylor throughout the whole process and he and his crew knocked it out of the park from start to finish. He handled all of the insurance side of things and made sure everything with the adjuster went smooth. Great communication, quality work, timely, and clean up was perfect.

This review is a bit overdue, but I’d be remiss to not mention my exceptional experience with Bear Creek, which was unlike any of my prior experiences with contractors - in a very good way. We had significant damage to our roof during a wind storm in Sept. 2020, and we began working with Taylor Zwemke @ BCR. He was very knowledgeable and put our minds at ease. We had a horrible experience with our insurance, getting tossed from about 3-4 adjusters, and gave us a very hard time. During this period of back-and-forth, Taylor would come a few times at the drop of a hat to nail the tarps back down if they came undone, and once in the middle of a snowstorm. Thankfully, Taylor and the crew at BCR were diligent and persevered, which produced a better outcome than we ever anticipated. What could have cost us thousands only ended up costing us our deductible. All in all, I’m super grateful to them for their awesome service and will always recommend them in the future for any roofing needs. Thanks again, all.

Very pleased with Bear Creek! Excellent office support and they only took a little more than two days for roof tear down and new shingles. The crew were hard workers and easy to talk to. And the roof looks great!

After the big wind storm in Sept of 2020, we noticed a lot of damage to our roof. We contacted Bear Creek and rep came out to evaluate. He stated that replacement was needed as the shingle were very dry and brittle and suggested we contact our insurance. We received our funds from the insurance and a quote from Bear Creek and they matched perfectly. The crew finished our roof after a small storm and little bit of snow after they had laid the roofing paper down. They were respectful, answered questions, were in compliance with safety standards, and did a spectacular job cleaning up on both days it took to complete. I will be recommending this company to all my neighbors.

It was great working with Bear Creek Roofing. Because of severe roof damage due to a hail and wind all over northern Utah I knew this would take some time to get to my roof. Bear Creek repaired a hole in my roof from the wind damage so I wouldn’t leak until my roof could be replaced (hail damage). Bear Creek contacted me and within a day and a half the job was done! They showed me photos of the finished product and all I can say is job well done! I would recommend them to anyone who needs roof work. Thank you Bear Creek Roofing!!!

We had hired them to do our roofing and they took months they received half of the payment $7000 and a month later still nothing we keep trying to contact them they keep ignoring us and they cashed the check but never call us to let us know when they were gonna start at first they give us a quote and months later they told us like $5000 more and they are just irresponsible and not profesional

Well in summary the roof is visually grey not dark brown (I selected dark brown material), I was pressured into using a roofing material that I wasn't originally quoted and was uncomfortable with (quoted shingles, pressured to using TPO), it took it took 3 months not 4-6 weeks. I was originally quoted to complete the job and I had been promised information multiple times which I did I unfortunately did not receive. At the end of this as the roof was installed. I told them well the roof is grey not brown, i'll just subtract the cost of paint supplies to repaint the brown features on the house from the bill and let's move on. They refused, I said ok, that's fine the consequence is that if I have to spend money out of pocket to fix something that wouldn't have been an issue if you hadn't pressured me into changing materials I will complain. I was then bounced me from person to person over a month long period, they were all highly defensive their main concern was proving they installed the correct material. I would obviously strongly recommend to not use this vendor, the experience was completely aggravating.

If you do use them here is my advice. Prior to your initial deposit make sure that you select the material you want to use, get pictures of the material on actual jobs, get whatever information you need to feel comfortable on the material you select, do not allow them to make and changes to the scope of work, find the actual scheduled date they will perform the job.

During the major wind event in September of 2020 the metal roof was completely ripped off of my home in South Ogden. I received an estimate from Andy at Bear Creek Roofing on October 7 2020. After I signed the estimate, Andy explained that no work would be started or scheduled, no dry in would be done and no materials or supplies would be ordered until I gave them 50% of the total cost of the job up front. This was an insurance claim so there would be no funds available until the job was actually started. Bear Creek Roofing was fully aware that this was an insurance claim when they wrote up the estimate. I begged for them to start the work with the cash that I had in my savings account which I have scraped to save as a school teacher for Ogden City School District. Bear Creek refused to accept my 25% down and would not order materials or give me any information about roofing color selection when I asked them to provide addresses so that I could see the roofing colors and types in person. In mid January of 2020, more than 3 months later, my home was still left exposed to winter elements and had incurred further damage to the interior due to the fact that no work had been started because Bear Creek refused to accept 25% down out of my own cash reserves. My insurance agent at Farmers Insurance became involved and sent a different contractor to start the job in order to mitigate the interior water damage from winter long snow and rain. At the end of January when Bear Creek "noticed" that someone else had replaced my roof, they started sending me bills and letters from their attorney at Irvine Legal stating that I owed them $1685 for breach of contract. However, I believe that they are the ones that are in breach of contract for NEVER starting the work on my roof. Thanks for reading.

Taylor was amazing! He worked with my insurance claims department to get my whole roof covered (all new shingles). My roof was done in 2 days and looks great!

Update; we finally have someone who can communicate and we are looking at next week for our install.

They took my deposit months ago, and I can't even get a call back as to when my roof may or may not get installed. Daniel, who was the one we were working with, is terrible with communication, at best. The office said the lady who can tell me when my install will happen, will call me right back......3 phone calls and a month and a half later I've heard nothing, again ......

Bear Creek Roofing, A family owned business. Hands down the best in the business!! Taylor Zemeke, an estimator was extremely Professional, Informative, and VERY Knowledgeable. I was so happy with the roof shingles quality and the type of roof vents they used. (They are the ones you can add attic fan to later if desired.) I had several companys come out for bids on my roof after our terrible wind storm in 2020 in Ogden. Bear Creek Roofing had the great prices, choices of shingle styles, and warranties. Their install crew took GREAT care to see that my property was left very clean before, during, and after the job. Making sure they left no nails scraps or anything at end of job. I VERY impressed! Even in my photos you can see how clean they keep their work site. Bear Creek Roofing made sure that everything was to code even when my insurance adjuster failed to do so. Bear Creek Roofing worked with my insurance to see inaccuracies with adjusters bid and cost and helped to get the money for me needed to pay the full amount. To summarize Bear Creek Roofing is the BEST ROOFING COMPANY ANYWHERE!!! You really need to call Taylor Zemeke to get your roofing needs meet.

I have known Tim and Maria for a few years now. Their reputation is fantastic. When we bought a 70 year old house (decent roof overall, but leaked around the chimney), I immediately contacted them. Taylor came out promptly and did a fantastic repair job. No more water in my house!

I've had Tim and Maria's crew repair my roof on two different occasions. Both times, they were super responsive and did excellent work. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Tim at Bear Creek went out of his way to take care of a client of mine who had storm damage from June. Tim @ Bear Creek was the 1st roofer to follow through and actually work with the insurance to get him taken care of. They are taking time out of their busy schedule to do a temporary repair until they can get on the schedule. Definitely my go to roofer as an insurance agent.

If you are needing a new roof or roof repair this is the company you want to use !! Aside from their pricing being comparable to other businesses, they have the BEST employees !!!
Taylor was awesome !! He was there from day one helping with our insurance company and leaf guard company coordinating taking down the gutters and putting them back up. There was a very small spot of tar from one of the old shingles on our front step, Brett came back a few days after the roof was complete to remove it. Thank you Brett for paying attention to even the small details.
They had to remove our satellite dish to do the shingles....they promised to have the dish back up and working in time for our Steeler game on Sunday....they had a guy here at 9:30 Saturday morning.

Taylor Zwemke Did a amazing job! Always on time for anything that was asked of him to include working with insurance companies to dispute any issues that had came up. I’d personally recommend Bear Creek roofing solely based on customer service but not only that quality of workmanship and knowledge all employees knew about roofing. Took me a long time to decide whether to write this review but in the end... I figured Tim got to save some money and I get the chance to publicly make my statement.

Good unless you have an issue. I realize most people have a good experience with Bear Creek. I almost did. But when things went south... Tim's true colors came out and let's just say there's some integrity issues.

Summary.

First day the crew removed the shingles from my roof they left the old shingles on my yard in the heat of the day and there were many large burn areas by that evening. The following days I followed the crew around and moved excess materials off my lawn to protect it. No big deal but I did show the areas to the guy who ended up doing the counterflashing.

Crew comes out on July 23rd to finish the job and runs out of material. Comes back on July 24th but received no materials. After being unable to reach anyone at their office and after many calls the crew chief asks me to try and contact someone. I called Tim and he told me they were unable to get material on the 24th. But, never told his crew.

They return on July 25 and finish the job of putting on the shingles. On that final morning I wasn’t sure how much work they had left that would affect my driveway where my BMW was parked. I walked out and asked the crew if I needed to move the car and was told no. Later that day after they finished I noticed my BMW had some substantial damage on the hood from the work they had done.

July 26th they send out a guy for a “final inspection”. I talk to him about the damage to my car and also about the sheet metal step flashing that was left exposed. He said that it was not finished and that someone would be back to finish the job. But, they were still expecting to get paid in full. We paid all but $2000 since the job had not been completed and I had car damage.

No additional contact until July 31st when Tim emailed me and said the metal was being bent.

No additional contact until August 15th. By this time I had already had a rain gutter guy give me an estimate for him to do the counterflashing since I wasn’t sure they were going to return.

August 15th and 16th they completes the job. They acknowledge the damage to the car and sees the damage to the car and send me to a "friend" who is an auto guy for my repair. I go there a week later and there is a customer in the lobby who claims to have been waiting for anyone to show up for over 30 minutes… including calling several times from his cell phone while in the lobby.

I decide to go to a real auto paint shop and get 3 bids for about $2000 for the damage. That's when things changed for Tim. Suddenly it was my fault for not moving the car. Or maybe the damage was already on the car.

I would not do business with Bear Creek again because ultimately integrity counts and Tim came up short on that value when money was involved.

With no due respect. Your spin on the situation represents your dishonesty in general. You did offer to have your "colleague" repair my car. When I went to his place of business and no one was around for hours during a business day I began to get concerned about the quality of the work that would be done. I received 3 alternative bids, none of which you were willing to pursue. The car is a BMW and would require more than just a cheap paint job to fix the damage. As for moving the car... I moved it every day until the last day when your crew assured me they did not need it moved for the final clean up.

A business is not defined so much by what they do when everything goes well... but how they respond when there is a problem. On that note you fail miserably. And, your rationalized response to my post is more proof of that fact.

They came to do the work when we were told. Did a great job, we were kept informed of what they were doing, several supervisors and owner (Tim) stopped by and answered questions. Highly recommend great price, great work.

I had them replace my roof about 6 months ago. I wanted to make sure the roof survived the winter before writing my review. Edgar and his crew did an outstanding job, the roof looks great. Edgar was always available and responsive to my questions. There are so many contractors out there that just don't have the professionalism to even answer or return a phone call, you won't have that problem with Bear Creek. The crew was professional as well. They cleaned the gutters, they cleaned the yard, they cleaned everything they were involved in. The roof looks better as time goes on and the shingles settle in. Edgar showed me all of the new technology that goes into a modern roof and that piece of mind is well worth the price of a quality roof. I will recommend Bear Creek to everyone.

Highly Recommend These guys! I am a Realtor up in Ogden and was the listing agent on a property. After the appraisal was done we found out the roof needed a 2-Year certification to pass the appraisal, and because the roof was so old, it needed to be completely torn out and replaced to get the certification. I had multiple roofing companies come out and get me a quote for my client, and Bear Creek beat them all. Not only were they cheaper, but they got their guys on the job within a week, and completed a full 4-layer-shingle tear down, and fully replaced everything with new shingles in a couple days, including clean up!

I spoke with Destin on Monday about having to have my roof repaired before our closing date. Today is now Thursday of the same week and our roof is now repaired and looks amazing! He was in contact with us this entire time, not to mention the affordable price! Definitely recommend giving him a call!

I have two seperate roof leaks. Edgar came out to give me an estimate. When he arrived, he quickly located the cause of the problem and informed me that the needed repairs were super simple and that they would be something I could easily do in an afternoon myself for less than $50 in supplies. Edgar told me he wouldn't feel right about charging me the minimum service fee of $650 to repair the two issues, so he walked me through what supplies I'd need and how to fix the problem myself. I was happy that he was honest and straight forward. I will call him in the future!

Bear Creek Roofing put a new roof on all our Holmes Creek Townhomes but still gave me, just one of the owners, personal attention and communication throughout the project. I have a skylight and I was worried about it being completely sealed. A few days after they had finished I saw the project manager and an employee up on my roof inspecting the skylight. I knew I didn't have to worry about it. They were courteous and very professional.

We inquired with several roofing companies about a roof replacement soon, and Bear Creek was the only positive response we received. Their crew did the job professionally and quickly and cleaned up well after the job was done.

I had my roof re-done four years ago. I have a spot where I have a leak. I had Bear Creek come out and see if they could give me suggestions as to how to fix it. Overall we loved working with Bear Creek Roofing, especially Edgar! He was great to work with and I felt like he really cared about our home. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because we had issues with clean up. They didn’t put down any tarps or anything, so we had a TON of nails all around the house (part of that was because of a huge wind we got). My mother in law got a flat tire and stepped on a nail, and we still find random nails. When we initially saw how many nails were on the ground, we talked to Edgar who was great and made sure the crew tried their best to clean up after that. The roof looks great though and I’m very happy with the end result.

I had a roof leak back in early March when it was raining fairly heavy. One morning I noticed a rather heavy roof leak that was leaking from the roof traveling down to levels in the house. I called Bear Creek. Edgar came out quickly and spent several hours patching the roof to stop the leak. He even came back later that day and spent more time insuring that the leak had stopped. Edgar told me I needed to contact my insurance company because I had a lot of hail damage. I had Bear Creek replace my roof. It took them three days and did an excellent job. The roof looks great and they were very meticulous about every aspect of finishing the roof perfectly. WELL DONE Bear Creek. Would not hesitate to call again.

I have a metal roof that had leaks coming in through different spots each storm. Bear Creek came in and found the issues, and more importantly, fixed them so that I have no more drips in my house.

Great job replacing our roof. Edger was great to work with. They were fast, efficient and friendly. New roof looks great and really appreciate the seamless gutters with screens. Some limited communication difficulties with some workers.

Would have been 5 star if: These guys were very hard to communicate with. The times that i did get ahold and speak with Tim he seemed like he was in such a rush that my questions and conversation was almost an annoyance. Never was informed of what exactly would be happening unless i asked them about it. They put in a new vent system (more efficient) which i think is great but those were things i would have loved to hear they were going to do.

The roof looks great and i believe they did a good job. The Roofers cleaned up well at the end of the day. The gutter guys however did not! When i called and asked them to come back and clean it.. they just swept the dirt to junk to the side of the porch.

Job was scheduled 2 weeks out: they called to ask me if they could start (today) i said "sure but i dont really know whats going on". Then they asked what color i wanted; to which i told them i have not even been shown anything about colors or samples. Then i was told i need to pick the day after they started.

I was asked for the final $Check$ before i even had an invoice or the project completed.

I was contacted again for collection; told her i needed an invoice. She sent it to me and it was incorrect. (Sales did not relay the contract to billing) So i had to send Tims email back to her to show what we had agreed on.

Over all: I believe they did good work and i love the new roof; but they are extremely lacking in the communication world.

Wow...they are great here. Communication was wonderful. They were running late and they called to let me know. Quality product with Great employee's.

They told me it would be about 3 weeks to get my roof done. The next week they called, scheduled for the next morning and had the roof completed in 3 days. They went around my yard cleaning up nails and scraps and left the area very clean with no signs of them being there. I highly recommend this company.

Tim and his team do great work. They are trustworthy and honest people. We know they will always get the job done correctly and in a timely manner. We love working with Bear Creek Roofing.
