The guys at Baseline are amazing! My inverter malfunctioned after a storm - we had just purchased the home (the previous owner ha the solar system installed and didn't leave any details on who they used for maintenance, etc.). I did a quick search on Google for someone to fix my system and by luck found Baseline. I read through their reviews and decided to contact them - it was the weekend so I sent an email with pictures of the inverter and related info. A little while later I got a call from Baseline. After giving them the details, they indicated this was a warranty issue and that they would call and get the ball rolling with the manufacturer on Monday.

Monday afternoon they called and said a replacement would be shipped out in a day or so and they would call me when it came in to make an appointment for the install.

Our installer, Gabriel was awesome. He was super patient explaiing the process and how I would make changes on my app. He got all the work done very efficiently and professionally.

Baseline has been great to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend them for any solar-related work in Christiansburg and the NRV.

I highly recommend Baseline, which installed solar on our home. Employees are extremely knowledgeable about solar energy and customer focused. Baseline is a local company that completes the project from sales through installation and servicing, so there are no subcontractors involved (definitely a good thing if you're thinking of solar for your home). We requested a couple additional features to our project, which Baseline was able to seamlessly include. Installation engineers and technicians are excellent teachers who took the time to answer all of our questions and educate us about our system. If we expand our home solar system in the future, we'll definitely call Baseline Solar Solutions.

Baseline solar is the best!! I was moving from out of state, and solar is really important to me - so much so that I was choosing my house based on solar potential. My real estate agent reached out to DeWayne, and he specced several houses. I ended up with new construction, and he worked with me, my real estate agent, and the builder to choose the best lot and final house angle. He submitted plans for HOA approval (a condition on the sale) - all before I signed a contract or paid them anything.

As the house was being built, we discussed the solar project in detail - going into the nitty gritty details of my energy uses and projections to ensure the right size array. DeWayne is also very knowledgeable about how the panels work, which I appreciate.
As soon as I moved in, they came out to do their final assessment, and 6 weeks later, they did the installation. They took care of all the permits and have been very helpful in explaining things.

Overall, I highly recommend Baseline Solar. They are super knowledgeable, and it's clear their business model prioritizes a good relationship with their customers, something I greatly value and look for.

The Baseline team was excellent from start to finish. The communication from each member of the team (quote person, installers, engineers, inspectors, etc) was very clear and immediate. It is great having such responsive and friendly people in our community to do such nice work. We got one other quote from a regional/national company with an office in Lynchburg, and there was so much more information (including technical) and high quality interactions with Baseline, and the price quoted was the same. There were a couple of hiccups with final permitting and inspections that delayed system turn-on by 2-3 weeks, and these might have been avoided, but I suspect Baseline personnel did everything they could given the approaching holidays. I highly recommend Baseline Solar!!

From the first moment Baseline Solar Solutions started to plan a new solar system for us until the day the system was turned on we had only very positive experiences with Baseline Solar. Everyone in the whole crew is extremely friendly, always helpful, very considerate of our time as well as the plants in the garden where roof access was needed. Email exchange is always spot on, answers are given quickly and thoroughly. The paperwork side is mostly done by Baseline Solar and we received help at every step along the way. Baseline Solar had done the maintenance for our previous hot water solar system and we felt very comfortable to put the design and installation of a new system in their trusted hands. We especially like the critter guard they installed to keep squirrels from building nests and nibbling on wires and insulation. We also appreciated that due to financial limits they were able to split the system over two install dates, with half of our panels installed now and the rest at a later date. Our system is now running and it is fun to check our daily generated power on the computer and see how much CO2 we were able to avoid due to the new PV system.

My home solar system was recently installed and is now fully operational. I'm very pleased with my solar system, and due to the dedicated team of installers from Baseline Solar, the installation could not have gone any better.

I was onsite for most of the installation. This allowed me to meet and interact with all or most of the installation team members. It was truly inspirational to see these hard-working individuals with great attitudes working so well together as a team. Hearing each team member speak so highly of their employer during various conversations I had had with them reassured me that I had picked the right company to install my solar system.

The project engineer, the installation manager, and all of the installers were awesome. From start to finish, I was regularly kept informed of the job progress. All of my questions during the installation were answered, and my wishes for any unique installation requests were always met with sincere consideration. The required local county permits were handled very well. The installers maintained a high level of respect for my property during their time onsite. They left the work area in a clean and orderly fashion at the end of each work day. The installation team members were enthusiastic and took pride in their work. Everyone had a very positive “can-do” attitude. Their sales and billing departments provided clear and concise communications with no surprises during the billing process. This company’s customer satisfaction level was ‘through the roof” in every way. I'm very happy I found Baseline Solar to accomplish my solar installation.

Baseline Solar installed a solar system with storage for us in December 2022. We had a fairly complicated install and we asked they run all of the wires in the walls. The crew from Baseline did a wonderful job. They took great care with the preexisting components of the house, they were easy to work with and they didn’t make a mess. They did a great job explaining how to use the system and provided excellent documentation. A+ company and A+ job.

When I contacted them regarding removing an aged solar water heater, Patrick responded within 24 hours and made a site visit within a couple of days. They showed up on time the day the work was scheduled, and the team took care of everything in about 4 hours. The team was efficient and pleasant to interact with. We needed to remove the solar collectors in preparation of getting a new roof put on, and in going the extra mile, Patrick stayed in contact with the roofing company to let them know what was done and to coordinate their efforts. I would not hesitate to contract work from them again.

It has been a lifelong dream to power my house with solar energy, but I love the tall trees in my yard and did not want to sacrifice them. Baseline Solar did an analysis from my actual rooftop, not just a Google map, and gave me small, medium, and large options to choose from, explaining how much energy would be generated with each, and also how net metering and energy tax credits work. The installation happened during covid-19, and all the engineers wore masks and gloves and were very safety conscious. There is no charge for an estimate, so I encourage anyone who is curious about a solar system to give them a call!

Baseline Solar did an excellent job with our solar system install. The workers were always on time and extremely polite. They completed the installation very quickly, while making sure everything was top quality. The inverters in the basement were arranged beautifully (see pic). Baseline installed a 5.7 kW rooftop array on my home in November, and did an absolutely amazing job! I contacted them late in the year after things fell through with a closer company I'd been working with. I thought it was a long-shot to try to get this Blacksburg company to do an install in Bristol (and on such short notice!), but they were up to the task! Patrick worked closely with me every step of the way, easily navigating all of the permitting and paperwork. He and his team came down in two trucks and knocked the project out in 24 hours, which I thought was impossible. Hats off to these guys!

We are two engineers that decided to go solar. We then chatted with Patrick at Baseline over dinner about our PV needs and went for it! (We could cover all of our current needs with a 3.1 kW system and the installation is designed for easy future expansions.)

Baseline delivered on time (prior to end of year for 2017, with time to spare); they went from start of planning to finished installation in less than a month. They answered all of our questions (did I mention that we are both engineers, we had a number), and (Sam, Miles, and Patrick) were very nice about allowing us to be extremely involved in the install.

They did an excellent job on my Solar Hot Water System. They redesigned and re-certified the 30 year old system. Updated the tank and controls for more efficient operation as well as internet monitoring. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend them for any solar project.

Baseline installed a 24-panel system on my metal roof 2.5 years ago and it has been running flawlessly. Working with Patrick and his team was a great experience. Baseline did a great job from beginning to end on setting up our solar system. After getting the system up and running they met with us to explain how to access all the information via the internet. While I've reviewed the info a couple times, the system has required no action on my part. We just enjoy the reduced power bills, YTD (thru Oct) our AEP expense is $461 for a 5,000 sq.ft. home! The Baseline Solar team has been wonderful to work with!

I had Baseline install a 6800watt array with Conext+ grid attached w 1000 amp-hr battery backup system in 2015. They gave us a price, delivered at that price and on time. They were professional, easy to work with and knowledgeable in all phases of the install, including permits ditch digging etc. A real bang up package deal. They followed up a couple of times over that past two years out of the blue just to check in.

They even put up with my incessant questions and small changes as the project went along. I had done my research on solar systems and had my specs together for them which surprised them as most folks need that figured out for them. I was pleased that they were pleased with my plan. The electrical savings were exactly or even exceeded their estimates.

I also hired them to install a heat-pump water heater and an EV car charger. Again, the work was done to spec and complete ahead of schedule.

They also installed an eGauge system which has turned out to be a wonderful addition, definitely worth the extra cost. Just knowing what things in the house are using has allowed us to shift our usage to save a few more dollars (and I am a geek, so I like data, and I like to confirm that the system is working as described.)

Baseline Solar promised and provided a turnkey operation that required little time and effort on our part. They were professional in all their work, honest in answering all our questions, and reliable in all their commitments. Our solar panel system is working superbly and providing all of our electrical needs to date; thus they sized it properly for our needs. We expect a full payback in 10 or fewer years, and we are certainly getting a better return on our investment than we would get in any bank CD. For us, we are getting financial and ecological satisfaction with their products and services.

Baseline installed our system shout 18 months ago. Even though we live out in the country, they come by periodically to make sure it's operating correctly. I like being able to monitor our production from my iPad anywhere in the world. Our system was purposely design to produce about 75% of our energy needs, but because of some changes in our habits and a new highly efficient heat pump we are almost 100% sufficient. Our bill with APCO is $10 per month for 9 months of the year. During the winter we use credits from surplus power generated over the previous 9 months.

Their installation was done professionally and quickly. Baseline also does electrical work in between installing their solar systems. They replaced our 15 year old smoke detectors at a very reasonable price. Our smoke detectors are wired into the electrical system. Smoke detectors lose their effectiveness over time and should be replaced every ten years.

We always look forward to meeting with Patrick, Sam and the rest of the crew, usually at Glade Springs farm which has a very large solar installation.
