I have been dealing with Ed, RJ, and Nita on a new home that I am building as an owner/builder, and they have been great. Very patient, helpful, and understanding. I have had many interactions with many companies during this process, but I can tell you that the staff of Banner has been exceptional.
I gave Altaquip which is now in that building a rating mostly at this point based on how friendly they were. I had a Duromax generator which served me well for nearly 12 years. Therefore, when it got cranky I bought a new one in July, same model. In about 3 or 4 months, the generator started to put fuel in the oil and I contacted the manufacturer and was told that I had to take the generator to one of their authorized service centers. Even though it was 45 minutes away from my home one way, I found a way to get my generator to this location. The generator supposedly has a 3-year warranty. As with many warranties, it does not cover replacement of general maintenance items, normal wear and tear. For crying out loud! The generator was only 3 months old and Altaquip told me that it needed a carburetor! And, by the way, that was not covered under warranty. I gave the okay for them to fix it and I got it back and guess what, it won't run! I've tried twice. I contacted Altaquip two times and left a message both times and have heard back nothing! Okay maybe Christmas gets in the way. Therefore, I sent an email to the manufacturer to see if they can get in touch with Altaquip about my concerns. We'll see if I hear anything from is them. In the meantime, I have a house that sump dependent and, if the power goes out, I have no way to get the water out of my basement. Okay, I did buy a manual bilge pump to help a little. In all probability, my experience will mean nothing to anyone but I needed to vent.
