Tom came out after it was done to be sure we were happy with the work. These are are simply the best in the business. There business was started in 1915 and still doing great work. Start to finish..... Baker Home Exteriors was awesome. We had hail damage on our small office building and once cleared by our insurance company to get quotes, I reached out to Baker. Joe Claffee came out and was very through in inspection and explaining where the damage was and what the best course of repair would be. Once I got the quote....It was spot on with Insurance assessment which told me they KNOW this business. Chris & the entire install crew were unbelievable. It was almost cartoonish how the team worked together to remove & replace this roof. Under 6 hours from start to finish... and not a nail found in the yard or driveway, or debris in the flowerbeds. There was three reasons we rated Baker Roofing 5 stars;
First- The sales rep Joe Claffee and the job foreman Dalton Keezer worked well together to resolve our issue of replacing our roof and gutter guards without replacing our gutters, and did an excellent job of explaining the total process. Plus Dalton was on site all day and Joe came by to check on things. Second- How well Dalton and the roofing team they use worked together. The job was completed in one day and they cleaned up so well there was no evidence of what had happened that day. Third - Dalton and his supervisor Chris returned the next day for a follow up inspection making sure all was completed to their satisfaction.

Baker Roofing replaced the roof and gutters on our house and we could not be happier with the results. The sales representative Joe Claffee was excellent with answering all of our questions. The roofing team did a great job and was completely done in a few days including clean up. I have no doubt that I will use them for other projects in the future and recommend them highly to anyone needing roofing and repair to their home or business.

While I don't normally do reviews pro or con, I would like to share my recent experience with Baker Roofing Company's Greensboro, NC location. I researched roofing products and contractors for 18+ months because I wanted what I felt were the best roofing products available in my area for my project, and an installation by a long established and reputable roofing company. After my initial inquiry to the main office in Raleigh with Ms. Norma Lutz, I promptly received a call from Mr.Joe Claffee of Greensboro.
Joe came out and I spent two hours going over every detail and my major concern with a low-slope area. After meeting with Joe, I was confident I had selected the right company for the job even before I received a price quote. Joe provided me with an Eagleview measurement report of my roof which was dead-on, after which we exchanged numerous emails and phone calls to get the scope of work nailed down. After sealing the deal, I spoke with Project Manager Mr. Chris Hall and scheduled the install. Upon meeting Chris, I was equally impressed with his knowledge and experience, as well as his concern and attention to detail for my project. I also appreciate Project Manager Mr. Dalton Keezer's interest and input on the job. Both Chris and Dalton were on-site and hands-on throughout the day. The entire crew were polite and conscientious, completing the removal and install in one day even though I specified a hand-nailed installation. The clean-up afterwards was also impeccable. I can sleep well now knowing I also have a 10 year BRC Workmanship warranty from a three generation family owned company.
Ms. Jennifer Stephens provided me with a detailed invoice of all the components that were installed and filed the 5 Star warranty with the manufacturer on my behalf. I also received a thank you note from Mr. Keith Gregory, VP of Home Exteriors by Baker. I hope I may be afforded the opportunity one day to meet the Baker brother's and personally thank and tell them how proud they must be and blessed they are to have such professional and dedicated employees. We had out roof replaced by Baker Roofing on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Joe Claffee was the sales representative who came and gave us our estimate. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and explained the entire process to us. They showed up when they told us they would and I have never seen such teamwork! Our new roof with soffits, facia, gutters, and downspouts from Baker Roofing is the most beautiful we have ever had over our heads! Joe and Dalton of Baker's Greensboro branch went the extra mile (literally!) to be sure we had the colors that were so important to us. Chris, Jesús, and crews were hard workers, conscientious, pleasant...and tidy. Still searching for the first nail on the ground, but haven't found one, yet! The workmanship is superb, right up to the custom chimney cap on top. We are so happy that we went with such an experienced and professional company as Baker. Everything under our roof depended on it. We sleep better (and drier) now. If they could only find a way to keep leaves off the roof altogether! :D

We are very pleased with the Land Mark Pro architectural shingles installed by Baker Roofing. Everyone at Baker Roofing from their inspector, project manager, office personnel and most of all, their installers, were exceptional. Joe Claffee was very responsive in coming out to inspect our old roof that needed replacement. He was highly knowledgeable about the different options available to us. It was apparent that he had many years of experience in the field & gave us sound, reasonable advice and was prompt in providing proposals. We were really impressed by the ability to view the pictures he took of the outside of our roof along with our attic through their photo gallery. Baker Roofings website is incredible to say the least. Along with other website options, they offer the ability to digitally view your home with the various color & brand options. Dalton, the project manager, was in frequent communication with the timeline status of our replacement. The installers were skilled, confident, professional and on time. They went above and beyond, removing some deck furniture since we were unable to do so due to our health limitations. They were friendly and efficient from the time they arrived until they left. The office personnel was quick to provide a payment receipt that we could provide to our insurance company. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Baker Roofing for any roofing project.

My experience with Baker Roofing was extraordinary. This company is certainly worthy of a 5 plus star rating.
Joe Claffee, my first point of contact, came out to my mother’s home to inspect and measure her roof. Joe was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the process of what was involved in doing a roof replacement as well as answering all of my questions about the materials being used. Afterwards, Joe provided me with a detailed estimate and samples of materials being used. Anytime I had additional questions, I could call, text or email them to Joe and within a few minutes he promptly responded.
Nine days prior to the installation of the new roof, Joe Claffee and Dalton Keezer both called me with an update as to when they would be starting the job. Dalton, who was the project manager for this install, informed me of the time materials would be delivered to the site and as to the time the roofing team would arrive to start the job. All the workers arrived on time and were very respectful of the property. I was very impressed by how extremely conscientious they were in making sure tarps were covering all shrubs and areas near the house where debris from the roof might fall. The crew was just as thorough and meticulous when cleaning up the yard at the end of the day. I really appreciated the fact that Dalton remained onsite all day long and was there up until the last worker left. Dalton then walked the property with me to make sure I was satisfied with everything that had been done that day. The gutter crew arrived the next day at exactly the time Dalton had told me they would. Again, the crew was very respectful of the property and meticulous in their cleanup. Once again, Dalton walked the property with me to make sure I was satisfied with all the work that had been done. Joe and Dalton were both great at communicating with me and the other Baker Roofing team members throughout the whole process.
I would also like to give Jennifer Stephens, Residential Coordinator at the Baker Roofing office in Raleigh a special shout-out for her quick response and follow-up to my request for getting the necessary paperwork I needed for the insurance company.

We interviewed 4 different roofing companies in Greensboro but picked Baker roofing. Joe Claffe in sales was our first contact and he was very personable, knowledgeable and all in all just a nice person. He helped me decide on the right roofing and we decided to hire them. Their supervisors Chris and Dalton came out to make sure tarps were down and the roofers protected the windows and plants and also checked that the roofers wore their harnesses on our steep roof. All nails were removed with magnets after the job and they cleaned up afterwards. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Can't believe that there's still a company that does what they say. Our church roof had extensive rot and was leaking, and the steeple had to be removed. Talking with Jason Leftwich along the way was great because of the communication was almost instant a lot of times. They arranged with the crane company etc. to be there that day. I have never seen so many hard-working people that worked over 12 hrs. to get the job done. (Saved us from having the crane company coming back the next day. ) The roofers were incredible and worked until it was done. When they left the site was like they were never there. I have a Flat Roof so my journey began June 2023. I called Baker Roofing. Jason L. came out and measured it. Because it was a rubber roof on a home, his commercial division didn’t want to touch it. Jason continued to try to help me as my roof was 50 years old. I had pots collecting water. I waited and waited. Jason L never forgot about me. He was determined to help me. He worked his magic and gave me a quote in January! It was HIGH, but that’s to be expected Post COVID. He stayed in constant contact while I was getting a loan. We projected mid March/April. A member of his team in Greensboro called me and scheduled 4-15. I was thankful! No more pots and pans. On 4-12, we had storms and high winds. One of my trees fell and blocked part of the driveway. I was worried as I was working 6 days in a row. I called a friend to come 4-15 to help me cut the tree out of the way of the driveway. I was nervous because I waited a LONG time for this roof replacement. On 4-15 I heard trucks coming up the driveway. I couldn’t believe it! Jason and Chris had a MASSIVE crew. They cut the tree up to clear the path. They were all very professional! They got the job done in less than a day and a half! I am really impressed with them. I understand why Baker Roofing has been in the business as long as they have. They have outstanding and dedicated employees! I will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs a roof. I really appreciate the whole crew and wish that you will share this with them. I can’t thank you all enough!!

Just to add we needed some repairs on our Educational Building. Taylor Fulton from Baker Roofing was prompt to check out the repair needs (photos included) and quickly got a team ( Timmy Hyatt and Phillip Nelson) to make the needed repairs so we could save the existing roof for a few more years before a complete roof replace. All three of these guys were very professional to deal with, very respectful , and great at communicating with me through the process. After the complete repair, pictures were taken again to show repairs made. There is always opportunity for businesses to take advantage, but Baker has done none of that. Again I will say, check Baker out. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

I had damage to my roof from a storm and called up Baker Roofing. They sent out Joe Claffee to access the damage and scope out the work. Joe was honest, personable, and knowledgeable. Atypical to industry standards, Joe did not try convince me my entire roof should be replaced. He was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process simple.

Recently Baker Roofing Company replaced the roofing shingles on our house. The appointment for the inspection was set up by the home office and quote provided by Joe Claffee. Joe arrived on time and thoroughly inspected the roof and attic space to provide the quote. Joe is very responsive and answered all our questions and concerns. We signed the contract, and the installation date was set with the project manager.

On the day of the installation the materials were delivered to our driveway and the crew of eleven, led by Mason Carrera, showed up on time and got right to work. The roof had a couple of locations that needed the decking replaced that Joe identified when providing the quote. The crew and ground team put out tarps to catch the debris from the old shingle tear off and did a fantastic job with the decking replacement. Once the crew repaired the decking, they continued with the ice and water barrier, edge guard, shingle, and roof vent installation. All the pipe flashing penetrations were replaced by the crew with new flashing covers, and they completed the installation in one day. The cleanup was very thorough by the ground crew, and all the trash and nails were removed from the yard.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have had several large thunderstorms, and I inspected the attic space checking for any leaks. No leaks found and everything looks great!

The new shingles have cut down on the outside noise including from airplanes overhead, and we could not be happier with the quality of work and professionalism of Joe, Mason, the installers, ground crew, and the office support from Tammy Martin for the invoice and warranty information.

Baker Roofing did a phenomenal job on a roof repair and now a brand new roof for us. Joe Claffee was thorough and helpful in the estimation process and worked with us to make sure we were getting what we wanted. Chris was great in scheduling and moved us without any complaints when we had to have some squirrels removed from our attic. They ended up sending a 13 person crew to complete our roof in just about 7 hours. The crew walked around the house at least 5 times with magnetic rollers to ensure that we didn’t get any nails in our tires or feet and were very respectful. Baker is not the cheapest roofing company around (about 5-10% more than other estimates), but the warranty, professionalism, and quality was worth it.

I really enjoyed working with Joe and Chris... I had a night mare on my hands... another sketchy roofing company had me on lock down since April of 2023. Once I got out from under them my neighbor gave me Baker Roofing company number. I called Joe and he came out and gave me a quote without any crazy Public adjuster interference like that other sketchy roofing company. Joe stayed in contact with me and helped me get my new roof installed. Chris was the project manager and was great during the day of install. They had 16 men on the job and Chris kept them all on track to complete the roof in one day.

From the first estimate with Joe Claffe to the roof and gutter installation with Chris Hall, Mason Carrera, and their crews, we could not have wished for a better experience. Our needs were prioritized and the entire process was one of being treated like their only customer. The quality of work was simply outstanding and they frequently went above and beyond the initial scope of work to make sure THEY could be proud of the result. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any who wish to enjoy the same results.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? Joe, Antonio and crew were fabulous. They showed up on time, covered any place that they might get debris on and started removing my hail damaged roof. They worked non-stop and completely replaced my roof before dark. They were professional and left everywhere free of any debris or nails. I would hire Baker Roofing again in a heartbeat.

These guys were Great to work with from the very first phone call to getting the receipt for the final invoice. They were quick to send somebody out to provide a detailed estimate, they were happy to explain every detail so it was clear. They weren't just trying to stack expenses onto the estimate, and they continued to communicate with us until the day they arrived to install the new roof.

They told us they would be here at 7:30 in the morning. They actually started showing up and gathering almost 30 minutes early. At exactly 7:30 Jason knocked on our door to let us know they were about to begin work and to remind us to watch our step as we exited the house.

These guys worked lightning fast. I'm not sure how many of them were on the crew, but they were all over the house working quickly and efficiently. If you have ever heard the phrase "like a well-oiled machine", this is exactly what that phrase is talking about. By 4:30 that afternoon, we had an entirely new roof and every single bit of debris was gone from our yard.

They repeated this performance a few days later to replace our gutters and fascias.

They work quickly, professionally, politely, and the end result is absolutely beautiful.

This is our second time using Baker roofing for our home improvement projects. We had them install our standing seam metal roof last December (2022), and in August of 2023 we had them replace all of our 17 windows, including our large picture window. We had such a great experience with our roof, we decided to get a quote for our window project. We were not disappointed. They are always on time and have great communication from the initial contact and quote, until the job is 100% complete. We moved into our 60 year old home last year and needed to get the house up to date. Robert Holt gave us several options and understood exactly what we were looking for. He explained what they would do to accomplish our vision.
We went with Pella replacement windows and wanted to get the black exterior color and white interior. They came in slightly ahead of schedule and within 2 days we were loving our new views! We chose the windows without grids. They are awesome! Mike Healy was our project manager. He and his crew were amazing. He is such a caring individual and wants his customers to understand the entire process. We had an add-on and asked if they could wrap our door frame. Within a few minutes Mike got us a great quote and made the change order. I cannot say enough about how refreshing it is to work with a company that does exactly what they say they will do, give a fair price, and execute it to our satisfaction. They say don't fall in love with a product, fall in love with a company. That makes sense to us. They have a great warranty and though we have not had any issues to date, I'm confident they will stand behind their work. There is a good reason they have been in business for over 100 years. Give them a chance and they will earn your respect and your business.

This is Ernie from Buena Vista neighborhood in Winston Salem North Carolina. have a roof installed back in 1928 of Lud wiki tile. I experienced a leak in my garage and scheduled repair with jason and George are Jorge for a Saturday at 8 AM. The crew arrived at 8 AM and completely repaired the j roof and much less time than I anticipated and left the area cleaner than they found it. My garage is dry and my roof looks almost as good as new saying the tile is 90+ years old. This is the second time I’ve worked with Baker Roofing. The other was on my main roof were a 10 x 10 section had to be repaired and I was shocked at how that was completed in four hours Time.

Jason Leftwich was very helpful and professional. He got here on time and had the estimate ready when promised. He also made changes upon my request and was very prompt. Mason, made sure I knew they were here to do the work, kept the crew efficient and they got the work done in a very timely manner. Mason made sure I was aware of an area that needed a little extra attention and kept me informed on when the project would be completed. All in all a very nice experience.

Jason Leftwich assessed our job and was very friendly and professional. I have no idea if the bid was a good value because we did not shop around. The workers were on time and conscientious about keeping our property clean. The work looks excellent although I have no way to know for sure until it rains I suppose. There were a few extra added expenses like plywood and two-by-fours which I was told would not increase the billed amount. I have not seen the final bill yet though. We were pleased with the job and would use Baker again if needed.

I used Baker Roofing for a roof replacement on my own home and was very pleased with the result. They were quick and professional, reasonably priced, used high quality materials, and had good safety standards for their workers. Clean up was also thorough. My only (minor) complaint is that they’re very busy, so the lead time for the job was 4-6 weeks, but they were honest and up-front about that when they gave me the quote. I would recommend them to anyone looking for roof work or repair, and might use them again when I replace the siding on my house.

Adding to my earlier review to recommend Joe Claffee and Chris (one of the project managers) who came out to fix leaks in my roof incurred from tree limb damages. They were able to get the damage fixed the same day, when other contractors hadn’t been able to help for weeks at a stretch, for which I was really grateful. Call them if you need a hand. 2024: Jason, Mason, and their team did a wonderful job ruling out a roof leak as the cause of water damage. They were very thorough and made helpful suggestions for discovering the problem. They fixed an unrelated portion of shingles that were damaged, provided photos, and were very flexible, professional, and communicative.

2022: I worked with Jason Leftwich and Baker Roofing to repair the flashing in a dead valley. He did a great job at explaining the problem and even provided requested photos. They coordinated with Piedmont Stone so that everything that needed to be done could be scheduled at once. Once the project was started, they were very efficient.
