I cannot begin to say how easy it was to work with Authority Roofing. From the first inspection to the completion, Jesse was the most professional, transparent, and respectful to work with. Everything does not always go as planned with this manner of work, but everything with Authority Roofing went as smooth as possible and I could not be happier. I would highly recommend them for any work you need done!

PLEASE READ | We chose Authority Roofing based on a recommendation, but I CANNOT recommend them. Since installation, we’ve had multiple leaks, and now, after recent storms, several shingles are coming off. They refuse to take calls and are placing the responsibility on me to fix their poor workmanship.

Installed in 2018:
- 2018–2020: Major, persistent leak (eventually hired someone else to fix it)
- 2021: Squirrels in the attic due to an unfinished eave
- 2022–Present: Large batches of shingles sliding off

After just five years, expect your roof to start failing completely.

Well I normally don't write reviews like this online, but this is the best way to tell as many people about our situation with Authority Roofing. IT WAS AMAZING & WE WERE BLESSED WITH
JESSIE HELM AS CAPTAIN OF OUR PROJECT.
Thus was the second time using Authority Roofing during our 25 years & counting living in our home. They knocked it out of the park years back when we were in the debris field from the Tornado that ripped through Forest lane area of Richardson & then this most recent storm that left us with no power for more than a week. First time we were apart of a group if three houses in a row that used them & this time we used them again on the suggestion of our insurance adjuster as he said he works use the same company right down to the same type of shingles & nails & whirly gigs on top of roof to vent our attic. Jessie made sure that the attic was properly vented by adding a third whirly gig on top of roof & took care of contracting the work to fix the damage to our daughters ceiling in her room. It looks amazing & we will hire those two women that painted her room again because I have never seen a more incredible transformation than that of our daughters room, absolutely gorgeous..they painted her ceiling & even an accent wall for her in emerald green that took our breath away.
Our roof was completed in black shingles & three whirly gigs for ventilation that truly updated the look of the exterior of our house so much that we decided to stay in our Home & not move.
Jessie Helm you went above & beyond for our roof replacement guiding us the entire way navigating the insurance company that was a huge task in of itself all the while making sure the job was done to our satisfaction as well as the satisfaction of our insurance company. Coming way out of his way on multiple occasions to pick up check payments so I didn't have to drive out of my neighborhood to take checks to there office location.
Customer Service is at the forefront of Jessie Helms mind for every family he guides through this process. Keeping you informed of any issue or delay which we had none to report.

If we go through another storm & need our roof looked at, Jessie Helm at Authority Roofing is the only person I have saved in my phone to call. I was so glad I went with this company, the entire process from beginning to end was seamless to me as a busy homeowner. Jesus Tapia, the Project Manager handled all aspects of the repairs. Replaced the roof, garage door, painted, window repair and gutter replacement. Jesus' team was very professional, meticulous, cleaned up very well, were timely and the overall product completion is fantastic. I'm very appreciative for how professional Jesus was, he stayed in contact with me before, during and after the project, he was available to answer my questions anytime time day or night. Jesse H, from Authority Roofing, made purchasing a new roof a pleasant experience. He was quick to respond to my call/text, gave a great price, and always did what he said he would do. More importantly, his crew did an amazing job putting on my new roof. They were quick and did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward. I had the best experience with Jesse Helm! He made it as simple as possible and is extremely knowledgeable in the field. My roof, gutters, and fence was stained and it only cost me the deductible after insurance, which is awesome!

I was really nervous to contact a roofer after hearing so many horror stories from others. I contacted Authority after we had some major wind damage because my parents had used them and were very pleased. We worked with Jesus (Antonio) and he was amazing! He worked with our insurance company and made the whole process so much easier than I thought it would be. He sent them pics of the damage to our fence, window screens and garage door, and he contracted the work for the screen replacement as well as the door. We did the fence separately. He came out immediately when we called and put a tarp on the roof to keep out the weather while we waited on insurance information. All the work was done in a timely manner, and he was quick to respond any time we contacted him. We had one issue with the garage door after repair that we contacted him about and he sent our guy back out immediately and got it taken care of. I would call him again in a heartbeat. We ended up needing a full roof replacement and it looks incredible. I would 100% recommend this company.

I waited until the last minute to replace my roof and screens before the insurance deadline was up. Authority Roofing got the roof done on time to meet the deadline, was very efficient and accommodating! Project Manager Jason was very helpful in helping me through the process!

I worked with this company as an HVAC contractor on a project. They were extremely professional and trustworthy. Great experience and a cut above the rest.

The project manager over promised and under delivered. The roof was installed beginning of July and four months later, there's still no resolution. It was easy getting a return call before the roof was installed; after installation, not so much. Jeff the project manager stated it was one price then we were told they had to do extra work and that is was over $6K more. Our old roof didn't have leaks but just a few weeks later after the new roof by Authority, we had three plus leaks and a hole in our roof that was just shingled over. We called Jarell at the time who stated it was a more efficient way and that's the reason for the hole. They came out more than four times to attempt to fix what was supposed to of been new. The person that came out identified the three leaks, the missing vent where the plywood was missing and and outr home only protected by the shingles outside. More than three trips to somewhat rectify the roofing concerns, more than 30 calls from us to them to understand their justification for charging the cost of a new roof when they installed a faulter and hap hazard job. We had to replace four tires on our riding mower due to their crew not being thorough in their cleanup. Our dogs swallowed several of the items left behind and for weeks, we had to walk the yard to pick up nails and debri some of which still under our shed. The y replaced the door and the shed at a novice level. The paint job was one my youngest child could have done better. The painter's supervisor came on a different day to inspect the work and agreed. We sent pictures of leaks, paint job, nails, etc. We called to get an itemized list of what they were charging. It was not until October that we received it. Prior to this time, Jarell told me over the phone he wanted to rectify the situation and that he would handle it. He stated he worked hard for five years to get his position and that he told Catherine the CEO that he would send the itemization and that it was his fault I had not received it. Even after informing him that all of this time we were taking away from our work to handle matters that should never happen he requested to visit in person. Ignoring my better judgement and wanting to believe in Authority Roofing's five stars, Jarell came to our home on September 19 at 10am, sat in our chair, and told me he understood cancer, told me he gets paid to make things right, and he would get back to me immediately after submitting to Catherine a request to dissolve the remaining balance due to all the issues, lack of communication and customer service. I kept his text messages inwhich he stated he submitted the request. After a couple of days, I text him back but did not receive a reply. During this time, I also talked with Michelle on several occassions. She informed me that Jarell took a job in North Carolina, not affiliated with Authority. She said it was a suprise to them as well. Again the ball was dropped. We were promised one thing and received nothing. Michelle sent the itemization and told me that she would meet with Catherine or the owner to get it worked out and how horrible she felt about the situation. I ended up calling her because several days had past. She then stated that I would need to speak with her manager Topsy or something or other. She said he would call me right back. I did not want to speak with another middle man. This situation had gone on for far too long. Approximately four days later, I have a voicemail from Topsy asking me to call him back to work things out. Four months into this mess the only thing I want now is for them to send the invoice zeroed out. It is my belief that their Five Star Rating is through selection and elimination of the less than favorable. That is why I will post this to where ever necessary so that no one else has this issue with a roofing company. I welcome the owner, the decision maker to reach out to us to confirm their shortcomings and to make right these four months of nonsense and stress they have forced upon us.

Project manager Loren Jacques was on the site, very timely and efficient, also answered and questions that I had, I'm very happy with my new roof especially the quality.

I would definitely recommend Authority Roofing. Jacob - the project manager was very knowledgeable and helpful though out the whole process. it happened to rain one of the days unexpectedly, but the roofing team adjusted the plan to only remove the shingles they could get in the dry before it started. The roof looks great, excellent job on the cleanup, and I am a very happy customer.

Trish Littlejohn was our project manager and she was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with every step of the process. We were selling our house and Trish went above and beyond to answer all of the questions that our buyers had. Trish Littlejohn was our contact from Authority. From the minute we met Trish at the Home & Garden Show in Allen she was informative and presented us with exactly what it was that we wanted and needed..never pressuring but presented all of our options to fit within our budget. At the time we met Trish, we didn't need a roof because we had been in our new home for only a year and a half. But the month after meeting her, the great March 2019 hail storms hit McKinney and our home and we knew immediately who to contact! Trish and the entire team at Authority walked us through the entire proces . The roof was completed last week and we have to say, have a better roof than we had before and one of the nicest in our neighborhood! Kenny was very professional and always prompt at answering questions or emails. Roof and gutters were done quickly and done well. They also worked with my insurance company and walked me through the whole claims process.

Our roof, gutters, fence and windows were damage from the massive hailstorm in March and after reviewing many contractors we came across Jesse H. with Authority Roofing (AR). He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very convincing about the project steps and process that we immediately decided to select him and AR to help us with our project. He was available and responsive to all of our text messages, emails and phone calls to provide the requested information and to help us complete the project. We love the work the AR teams did for our house and garden and we will always choose AR and Jesse to help us in the future. Thank you again, Jesse for your excellent assistance.

Very good experience with the roofer. Chris was very good at responding back quickly to any queries and is friendly to work with.

We're only a few more hours of subcontractor labor away from having all the work on our house completed. We were originally going to do trim repairs and complete exterior paint, but then the March 24th hail storm showed up and suddenly we were adding new roof, new gutters, new window screens, and a yard fence stain to our project list.

They say, "The devil's in the details", but I'm convinced that Catherine, our amazing Authority Roofing project manager, is a true devil-slayer!!!

Throughout our project, she has been steadfastly focused on the details. From stripping off ALL previous roofing material and discovering large gaps between sheets of plywood, to being a stickler about the look of the new chimney Cap and exhaust vent angles, she has taken care of e v e r y t h i n g ! ! !

Authority Roofing is a great company—we had two roofs replaced by them recently. Matt Saied, specifically, was the best project manager I have ever worked with! Project Manager Kenny also helped me a lot to understand about the Insurance Claim process. Matt was professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. During the process, he took care of everything, constantly communicating any steps or updates. He went above and beyond to ensure quality work. I know that I could trust these roofing projects in the hands of Authority Roofing. The process and results wildly surpassed my highest expectations. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I was blatantly lied to several times, customer service reps hung up on me, employees were rude, garbage was left on my property and when I finally asked to speak with someone in charge I was hung up on..... again...... please don’t believe the purchased reviews it’s not worth your time or money

After going through a horrible hail storm, we knew we needed a new roof but had never dealt with the insurance or had any idea where to start. Authority roofing made it so easy. Jesus T came over and guided us step by step, I am so glad he helped us from start to finish. Eric N, Tat N and Jesus T are amazing and not only were we able to get the roof redone but also part of our fence. I can't thank them enough for helping us through all this. I love our new roof. Chris Cox (Project Manager) was very responsive for the estimate, preparation and installation. Installed rain gutters and spouts on the committed date and time with no issues. Lots of colors offered to chose from, which I also liked.

I contracted Authority Roofing in the fall of 2018. Catherine Brenneman came out to survey our job. She was extremely knowledgeable and made the process so easy. Great company to work with. Working with Catherine Brenneman and Paul was a very smooth process. They answered all my questions along to way and were very quick to respond. Michelle was also a big help in getting the city inspection schedule and re-scheduled several times. There we there in the morning before they said they would be and knocked out my roof in one day. We recently had our roof replaced after the freakish hail storm that hit Carrollton last June. We didn't use any of the roofers who flocked to our neighborhood after the storm, thankfully. We reached out to Authority Roofing after we read their positive reviews and BBB rating. They helped us from start to finish and delivered a high-quality product and top-notch service. Trish, who works for Authority Roofing, is amazing! She remained on site to oversee the work and we felt like she was our advocate every step of the way! I am so pleased by how easy she is to reach, and also by her level of knowledge. She is straight forward, honest, professional, and a joy to work with! Authority Roofing just replace my roof and associated damage from the June hail storms. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process and the resultant work was high quality. I ended up with a much better roof than the one they replaced and it looks beautiful. Landon Moore was my project manager and he went above and beyond handling everything from scheduling the various subcontractors, resolving claims with my insurance company and even watching out for my little doggies to make sure they were safe during all the commotion. The project was delayed several times because of all the rains, and he personally patched my roof and checked up on it almost daily until it was dry enough for his workers to start. I won’t use another roofer from here on out. Chris C. came out and gave me his honest opinion on the condition of a roof and gutters—he said it was all in good shape and didn’t need any work. Most roofers will just come out and tell you that you need a new roof without even getting on the roof to take a good look—not these guys. 5 stars.

I highly recommend Authority Roofing to perform the work on your roof. In particular, ask for Christopher Cox as your project manager. Chris and his team were quickly responsive on every question I had throughout the process - determining the roofing needs, roofing installation, and working with the insurance company. In fact, Chris recommended I not comment on Google until everything (including payments) was completed. Now that's confidence in the job and quality customer service they provided! Every aspect of the roofing process was exceptional from the initial detailed bid at an excellent price, the roofing job itself over a couple days, and working with the insurance company on the payments. As a customer, Chris and the Authority Roofing Team made the entire experience seamless. One more recommendation, go to the GAF website and review their recommendations for roofing companies that install GAF roofing products. Then ask for bids from several roofing companies (including Authority Roofing) using just the same GAF roofing products and the GAF provided warranties. Then you will as the customer have "apples-to-apples" comparisons when evaluating the roofing bids. Authority Roofing for me was the best on both price and customer services without a doubt!

Chris Cox and his crew get an A+++ for their recent roofing for our house. Talk about fast and getting right to it! Excellent work! The roof installed was upgraded from the regular shingle roof all of our neighbors have and no extra cost to us. His crew also did some “extras” for us. We could not be more pleased with the whole experience from start to finish! Great work, great communication! Highly recommend!

Loren Jacques was the PM on my job. I spent a lot of time on initial inspection detailing the the things i wanted done to get a quality roofing job. Loren listened , commented and took note of everything.This included installing ice and water shield on all penetrations, 6 nails per shingle, double nailing edge shingles, resealing skylight, adding two new attic vents. l also ordered an upgraded shingle. Before quoting, Loren detailed what was standard and what was extra. It was the only bid that I received that noted everything I requested. Even though the bid did not specify removing two layers of felt, they removed both layers without adder. Further, the adders were were reasonable ( my son was an ex roofing PM and advised me what reasonable rates /prices should be). While my other bids were cheaper for the base bid, the bids with the adders were much higher. Before installing the roof, Loren not only inspected the roof from on top of the deck, but also from the attic side. After completion, everything checked out. Exposed nails used on pipe jack flashing were adequately sealed as well,. With respect to cleanup, I found no trash and no nails and only two plastic caps form the decking nails. Trustworthy, fair and competent is how I would sum up Authority roofing and Loren.

Authority Roofing did a fantastic job taking care of the roofs on all the Lakewood Village owned buildings. Chris Cox was the project manager. He was always available and made sure everything was done right the first time. Thanks Chris and thanks Authority Roofing!
