Assured Exteriors did quality work, within the expected timeframe and at a competitve price. They were very responsive to our requests.

I had Assured Exteriors do work for me in 2022 and 2023. The work they performed was professional, on time and reasonably priced. In 2022 I needed a Bib Block Installed. In 2023 I needed them to remove and replaced cracked piece of Hardie Cemplank. I recommend them for any work that you need done.

Assured Exteriors replaced my roof and completed a privacy fence in my backyard. Both jobs went very smoothly and were completed professionally and on the timeline I was given. The roofing job was a great experience from the bidding by the owner Phil Smith to the completion of the actual work. The installation crew was friendly, polite and professional while onsite. They worked quickly and the completed roof is excellent. Clean up around my yard and home was very thorough and complete.
I would definitely use them for any future projects and have recommended them to family and friends.

They worked with us to custom build an expanded covered back patio in a newer development so that you would have assumed it was built when the home was originally constructed. Great experience with this company! We had just bought our first house and wanted to get the outside painted, and the team at Assured Exteriors were all very nice in conversation, easy to schedule with, and efficient.

Once the spring rain had passed, the painters did the whole house in one day - I expected the painting itself to take at least a few days, so was pleasantly surprised to leave for work in the morning and come home at 5pm to a fully painted house! Fully cleaned up and all.

One of the painters came by the very next day to do touchups, and was kind enough to leave us a nearly full can of paint should we need to do any touchups in the future.

I absolutely recommend this company to anybody in the Portland area looking to get house painting work done, you will not be disappointed!

The no pressure no upsell approach from Assured is what sold me and the fact that they quoted the roof job I need at half of other companies. They showed up on time and worked all day and made sure they cleaned up everything before they left. Before I signed the contract I checked other reviews and saw the only complaint was difficulty contacting them but I never had a problem Kati in the office always answered texts and emails during business hours or first thing the next morning if after hours. They did what they promised when they promised to do it and for how much they quoted, if I need other work done in the future I’ll call them first.

Phil and Randy of Assured helped us in a critical moment in our families history. Our son was involved in a car accident and is paralyzed. Phil and Randy plus others from Assured jumped in immediately without hesitation to help us get our home prepared for our son’s return. They made our bathroom ADA compliant. He is now home and he loves that bathroom. Phil and Randy were just awesome people and also helped us just by talking and encouraging our family through this very difficult time. Katie was also great to talk with and we appreciate the whole company.

After four appointment confirmation requests from the company, one of which was from the guy who was supposed to come give us the quote (all of which I confirmed), he was a no show. When I wrote him about it he said he sat in our driveway for 15 minutes before leaving. We were home all afternoon and no one came. When I asked him why he didn't call us before leaving (from wherever he was) he had no response.

and his crew were super cool - even with a few hiccups due mostly to Covid and it’s related supply issues.

Don’t go for these guys. We lost our deposit of almost 2K to get two pieces of trim done, new gutters and our house pressure washed. They were supposed to do exterior painting and window trim repair too. It’s been since February and all we got was trim, gutters and pressure washing done? It’s almost September and I’m still fighting to get replies. I should not be waiting a week+ for email replies!
I’m over the entire process. What a waste of time and money.

Phil and his team were very informative of the inspection process and provided an unbiased report of roof structure and quality. Recently sold a house and prospective buyers sent out a contractor stating that the entire roof was installed incorrectly and need to be replaced asap. Phil and his team inspected the roof (within 24 hours of previous contractor report) to find it installed correctly with years remaining in the roof's overall lifespan, though in need of some minor repairs due to age/flashing. Replaced cedar shakes with Certainteed Presidential shingles. Every interaction was professional and positive from quoting to replacement work to invoicing. Final product looks great and we would give this company our highest recommendation.

unfourtnatley we did not have a good experience with Assured exteriors. There was poor communication from the owner from the beginning. We had difficultly getting him and the office to respond to our calls and emails. This resulted in errors on our siding. That was 100% avoidable w/ communication. Although the work crew was great, friendly and respectful, they accidentally knicked our Direct TV cord, and ended up taking longer than expected because there was not enough crew members sent to our home the first 3 days. Sad to say I would not recommend Assured exteriors to my friends or family.

Never showed up

This company was recommended by a coworker, so I filled out their online form to have someone contact me. Made arrangements for someone to come out a couple days later to view the work needing to be done. On the scheduled day, I received a text to reschedule because he had "more work than he thought for a Home Show" that weekend (his exact words). He suggested Monday at 3:30 and I agreed to that date/time. He even replied that he changed it on his calendar. It's now 90 minutes past the time he was supposed to arrive and he's a no show. No message saying he would be late or needed to reschedule again. Definitely won't be using this company. You don't show, you don't get my business!

Assurant Exteriors replaced the siding and a couple of windows on our rental house. Jonathan was very attentive and responsive. My job had a lot of expected (old house, "unique" upgrades over the years, etc) and unexpected (rainy weather, wrong windows delivered, etc) quirks. Jonathan and his crew were friendly and informative and rolled with the punches. Though the job was not finished in the timeframe expected, these delays were out of Jonathan's hands and measures were taken to communicate and accommodate where possible. He stayed true to his estimate as well, even when it meant not charging for a couple of small things (but greatly appreciated by me). He is a fair, honest, and friendly person to deal with and I remained confident having him oversee the job site. And in the end, the result is beautiful, has improved my investment, and my renters and I are very happy.

I strongly recommend Assurant Exteriors; they completed a complex project on my house (sidings, windows, gutters, paint) on time and with very high quality. They were responsive and courteous throughout the project.

Assurant Exteriors has made building our dream home a joy. The initial phone call all the way through siding and painting has been a professional, friendly, high quality, on-time schedule experience. The bids have always been in-line with others or better. The final product never went over the bid and there were no hidden costs. Price is not everything though. Jonathan and his team has made even the uneasy big decisions seem simple and they have saved us on this build in more ways than I can express.

We had a leaking window on our townhouse and called several companies from Angie's List. Of all the companies we called, only Jonathan from Assurant called back. I guess the others couldn't be bothered with a small, simple job like ours.
He came out armed with a thermal camera to get an idea about what was going on behind the siding, moisture-wise, and gave us a ballpark quote on the spot. A couple of days later, the official quote came in lower than expected.
On the day before the job, the crew lead stopped by to get an idea what needed to be done, and see about access, etc. The guys showed up right on time the next morning and got right to work. They provided me with several photos of the problem as I asked, and the job was done within an hour. They left no mess behind, and everyone we spoke to from office staff to workers in the field were 100% professional.
We will not hesitate to use Assurant again if the need arises, and we'll be passing on the recommendation to our HOA board.
