Customers are fully satisfied

We did a thorough review of all roofing companies in the Charlottesville, VA before selecting Askew Roofing Solutions. They did not disappoint. They were professional, timely, efficient, responsive, and friendly to work with. They also installed new windows on our second floor and replaced siding on the exterior of our home while also replacing the roof. Their prices were the best we could find, yet they did not compromise on the product we received. I would recommend!

We chose Askew's Roofing in 2017, after receiving 3 other bids but only 1 other site visit (b/c they never showed), to remove 30+ yr old, multiple layer asphalt shingles & replace with new standing seam metal. This involved separate roof repair on 20 yr old addition to match existing home before new metal over all 2nd story roofs. We were so happy with this job we contacted them again in 2022 to replace 20+ yr old standing seam on all 1st floor porch roofs as well as total replacement of 50+ yr old metal roof on separate cabin. Always showed up, always cleaned up, all crew very personable. Never the cheapest bid but fair and no surprises.

Roy, his son & team did a great job installing a new metal roof on our old house. Roy does his work for a fair price, is responsive, and completed the job in a timely manner. The roof looks great and we've already been through major rains without an issue which is a huge improvement. Highly recommend.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
