We had a great experience with Dan. Expertise painting responds promptly, shows up on time and is priced reasonably for the quality of the work. Dan did a nice job repainting the ceiling and walls. He also repaired some drywall and matched the paint for the wall around our electrical panel, which was left unfinished by some prior construction, and it is completely smooth- you cannot tell that it is a patch. Dan painted the rooms on the first floor of our new house. He does excellent work, beginning with extensive prep work, followed by meticulous painting and ending with a thorough cleaning up of his work area every day. I hired Dan to complete a drywall repair on our ceiling after it had to be cut for some plumbing repairs. He offered a fair price, was flexible with scheduling, was personable, and completed the work within a week of setting a start date for the project. The work began each day as scheduled and the work was completed within the time quoted. At the end of each work day everything was cleaned up. The final outcome was terrific and more than met expectation.

this is my 2nd review. Dan repainted the porch ceiling this summer. It had been painted several times previously but the wood knots had bled through the paint despite supposedly treating the problem. Dan applied the correct product and it's still perfect. Very happy.

This was a job that had to be done a certain day with very little notice because the tenant has a difficult schedule. The owner, Dan, took some details over the phone and agreed to the day and time. He was half hour early, had all the materials and ready to go. Once he started he didn't stop for eight hours and finished the job completely before leaving that night. Dan has done a number of projects at my house but the latest was power washing and staining my deck. He also power washed the fence in my back yard and painted the frame around the basement door and doggie door. All of his work has been exceptional. Both my deck and fence look almost like new and both are over 30 years old. I would highly recommend him for any painting/staining projects.

Three years ago we were looking to paint the entire interior of the home we had recently purchased. We asked a number of friends and associates for recommendations. So, when we recently had to have the house repiped, leaving it looking like it had been vandalized there were so many holes in the walls (there are three full bathrooms along with all the usual kitchen requirements), we didn’t hesitate in calling the man who had so greatly pleased us previously. I defy anyone to even figure out where all the holes were as, once again, his work was flawless, patching and melding the paint so that everywhere it appears to be a wall made up of one piece of drywall painted a single time. An artist, I tell ya.

We will NEVER use anyone else as long as Dan Kirby is in the business.

When my son made the accidental discovery that drywall is not solid and even practice baseballs thrown hard enough can cause a near-implosion, Dan came to the rescue. He patched a very large hole, obtained a perfect paint match, and blended the paint so it looks like nothing every happened. Ditto dealing with a spot on the ceiling where a leaky roof had caused interior drywall damage. We are multiple time repeat customers. Dan has great communication and does top-quality work. And while this may not matter to everyone, he also loves dogs and my large dogs love him, which makes having him work at the house so much easier. Can't recommend him highly enough. I don't bother getting estimates from anyone else anymore for drywall or paint jobs.

I had a very strange experience with this company. We wanted our kitchen cabinets painted and Dan came out quickly. He understood what we wanted and said he would email me an estimate on Friday. On Friday he emailed me and said he needed another day. A couple of days went by with no estimate so I emailed him and received no reply. About a week after that I called and left a message, he responded by email claiming his computer was in repair, causing the delay and he would send the estimate the next day. The next day came with no estimate and the following day I get an email asking me if I am receiving his emails. I responded yes and the last email I got was him saying his computer was being repaired and I hope he could send me the estimate. I never heard from him again.

We asked for estimates from this contractor and a larger one to perform ceiling and wall repair and painting. The larger contractor told us that, after making the repairs, he would have to paint the entire ceiling and both walls for the paint to match. Dan told us that was unnecessary and quoted a price one-third that of the other contractor. Dan was right; he was able to make the repairs and repaint those surfaces without painting the entire surfaces and the paint matched. He is very professional to work with, answering all phone calls and arriving when he says he's going to arrive. During the COVID-19 crisis, he wore a mask and gloves whenever he was going to be near us. We have already booked him to do a large exterior painting job.

Dan has done multiple paint jobs for us over the years, as well as painting a kitchen backsplash. He's great at communicating, always shows up when he says he will, and his work is top notch. The work he completed several years ago looks just as good as the jobs he did last week. Highly recommend.

Dan Kirby has worked on 3 painting projects for me over the past 2 years. Last year, he painted the exterior of my house and re-glazed all of the windows and replaced part of the fascia board. It looked great and it helped to sell the house quickly when it was placed on the market. This spring, he worked on the bathroom and kitchen in my new home. He removed all of the wallpaper including on the ceiling, repaired the walls, and painted. The rooms looked like new. This summer, he painted the remaining interior rooms with a variety of colors and finishes and all came out very well.
