After a 6 month nightmare with another roofing company, we were in a time crunch and Scott worked with us so the entire project was finished 10 days from the day I called him. The crew was so professional and very tidy.

I've heard many stories lately of State Farm being extremely stingy with approving new roofs, so I was initially skeptical when Alex told us he would get us a new roof and siding when he came to assess our house after some storm damage. He was straightforward, honest and worked very hard to take care of the logistics while keeping us informed the whole time. We ended up with a beautiful new roof and siding with no surprise out-of-pocket expenses or hassles. The contractors who did the roof and siding arrived exactly when they were scheduled for and did amazing work without leaving any messes behind. Apple Exteriors did an excellent job and put on a new roof and new siding. It looks fantastic. The workers really know what they’re doing. Steve Svendsen, The guy who lined up this job, was particularly helpful in explaining things to me, and making sure that everything was completed in the best way possible.

Apple did very high quality work installing Hardy board on the front area of our house. We needed a quick job done to repair a leak due to rotted siding.
Steve, the lead contact, kept us appraised of all the progress and issues uncovered on the front porch. He did a great job.
The project took longer than expected but part of that was the issues encountered with the front porch structure.

In a word excellent. We had a home plus three outbuildings that were damaged by hail. These folks completed everything on a timely basis. Very pleased.

I worked with Alex at Apple Exteriors and he made sure the whole process was so smooth and he was very great with communicating with us and with our insurance company. We recommended them to as many people as we knew because our experience was so good. Thanks again Alex and Apple Exteriors!

Brian Cronkite handled our claim with our insurance company very well. His team did a good job - new roof etc.

I had a problem area on my roof where a previous installer had cut corners. Steve came out the same day and got the area waterproof from the rain. After that he put together a fair bid to get the area shingled and flashed properly.

The work was completed in a timely matter. I will definitely be calling him for any other roofing or exterior projects that come my way.

Alex at Apple Exteriors was great to work with! He helped meet with our claim evaluator for roof hail damage and it got approved quickly, plus it was easy and quick to get our roof replacement scheduled and completed. We would definitely choose them again for work on our house!

I had a very good experience working with Alex Lara and his crew from Apple Exteriors to replace our roof. Alex was communicative, patient, and helpful with questions that I had. I would recommend Apple Exteriors for anyone who needs the type of work done that they specialize in.

Steve S was great to work with. While he's new to working with insurance claims, he really knows construction and helped me understand everything. He didn't hesitate to climb on the roof to double-check the work, to double-check the appraiser's report, or to challenge other omissions. When it comes to the office people, I have to be honest and say I wasn't always sure they knew what they were doing. I didn't feel they were on top of my project and it seemed like they weren't aware of the status. For example they called me to say the downspout people would be out in a day or two when actually they'd completed their work a few days earlier. The project took much longer than I expected. I filed the claim with USAA in mid-June and the roof completed July 25. But the window wraps weren't done until October 3 and the downspouts October 16. Still, at the end of it all, everything is done and looks very good.

Apple Exteriors put a new roof on my house and the whole experience went very well. Alex L. was great to work with. He joined the insurance adjuster during their inspection, which was reassuring. I am very happy with my new roof.

The roof job was not the best. They screwed up a spot on the garage and patched it and it does not match. They didn't fix the fascia or put drip edge on that part of the roof. They never sent in the siding to see if it could be matched so they never fixed or replaced the siding. Ryan the sales guy said he would take care of everything and he did not. Very unhappy and not pleased with the whole process. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Steve was very helpful throughout the whole process. He answered all my questions and if he didn’t know the answer off the top of his head he’d figure it out ASAP for me. He was super friendly and super knowledgeable in the construction portion of it and able to point things out and educate me on what to look for in the future along with maintenance tips to prolong the life of my roof. My only complaint is the roofers didn’t do a very good job of cleaning up nails. Other than that, my experience was great.

Just had my roof replaced by Apple Exteriors. They were helpful with the process (and claims). The new roof looks great and they made sure to replace wood under the roofing since damage had gone below just the shingles.

Quinn was very responsive and kept in touch with us throughout the process and the roofing crew did a great job and worked very hard. I would definitely use Apple again for future projects.

Apple Exteriors will quickly pressure you to sign their contract as the verbiage locks you in to a cancelation fee if you become dissatisfied with their quoting progress or don't want to proceed with further work such as a second phase of a project.

Here is my experience with Apple Exteriors:

- They will try to force a cancelation fee on you if you become dissatisfied with their work even if they haven't ordered materials or done any labor.
-They filed an invalid lien on my home to try to get me to pay the cancelation fee.
-They tried to charge me a fee for the invalid lien.
-They misrepresented the dates when they filed the lien with the county.
-Their contract called out an illegal interest rate that violated Minnesota usury law.
-They will try to use that high interest rate along with the lien as leverage to get you to pay the cancelation fee.
-They will copy their construction law attorney on communications as a scare tactic to get you to pay the cancelation fee.

Apple's owner Yousef Abumayaleh will back out of his demands for you to pay cancelation fees, interest, and the fee for the invalid lien if you point out that the interest rate in his contract violates state law and that the lien he filed against your home for the cancelation fee was invalid.

Be very careful when dealing with Apple Exteriors.

I am adding this statement to my review because Yousef Abumayaleh, the owner of Apple Exteriors now states he doesnt recognize me as a customer. That's true because I didn't want my name published for privacy reasons. However, he fully knows who wrote the review and that the information contained is accurate.

My roof looks great and AE took care of all the background noise with insurance. Thanks you Apple Exteriors for making this a quick and easy process. The roof was done in one day and the installers were kind and respectful. Very high quality work!

I am unable to fully express how happy both my wife and I are with the quality of workmanship performed and excellent customer service we received from Apple Exteriors! Having dealt with roofing companies "storm chasers" in the past, it was great dealing with a local company willing to work with us during each step of the process. There were three different contractors that work on the roof, facia and gutters and we were equally impressed by each on the quality and timeliness of their work!
This is the company you want working on your house!

I quoted our roof replacement to multiple firms. Apple Exteriors had the best price. Their sales team took awhile to get us on the schedule but their office manager was easy to communicate with. There were some clean up items that took a couple weeks to address. Overall we are happy with our new roof.

We are very happy that Ryan stopped at our house first. I guess luck was on our side this time, as we have dealt withmany other ' storm chasers' before, but did not get that feeling from him. He seemed sincere, and said his company would be reputable, and they sure were. They not only did storm repairs, but helped with several other issues at very affordable prices. I have had a very stress free winter knowing these things were done right. I feel Apple Exteriors is a very Quality company, and glad to have had them

Great experience from the roof inspection through completion of the project which included the house and garage roof replacement, window wraps and gutter glove. Ryan Torkelson, the Sales Representative, was professional, friendly and responded to texts within minutes. Any questions or concerns were handled promptly. I had my roof replaced by Apple Exteriors on October 9th 2020. When it came time to do the roof I called ahead of time to ask if anything needed to be moved off the deck for them to complete the job. I then found out that my roof was no longer on the schedule for the planned date and nobody ever called or left a message notifying me. I was told it was pushed back one day so my girlfriend had wasted a day of PTO due to her position working from home. The next day came and no one showed up to do the roof. I called and informed them of this and was told there was miscommunication and they were still working at another house. Again, with no notice, so my girlfriend had to waste another PTO day. Finally the roof was replaced totaling 3 days of PTO wasted when it should have only been 1. After replacing the roof there was still another document from the insurance company that needed to be given to Apple, so we scheduled a meeting with them, but no one showed up or contacted us. Next was the inspection by the city, no one called to let me know when it was scheduled or anything. A city inspector showed up out of blue and failed the roof's inspection for not having pictures of the ice and water paper or of the chimney saddle.The photos were mailed to me a few days after the roof failed. I made Apple aware of this and was told that they were going to set up another inspection. I called apple 2 weeks after the first inspection and was told that they couldn't get ahold of anyone to set it up. A 3rd week went by I called Apple again, and was told they were still working on setting up the next inspection. I got impatient and called the city myself and was able to schedule a inspection for the next day. The roof was going to fail the inspection again due to Apple not providing pictures of the chimney saddle, at which point I had to leave work to come home and take the photos myself inorder to pass inspection. While it was a very frustrating process, Apple DID pay for the failed inspection fee, and the workers did do a great job on the roof.

Work is now complete and we are finally satisfied with the work after many errors and delays and miscommunications. After the agreed upon work was finished we are now in dispute over additional charges for work not agreed upon and not performed but still they want restocking charges as they claim any supplementals are a binding contract with them. They view their contract as a blank check for anything that they can cram into it without the homeowners permission first. I would not recommend Apple to anyone looking for home improvements. Buyer beware!

Most importantly, the final completion of the work on my roof is beautiful and gives my home a fresh new look! I’m very satisfied!

The reasons why they get 5 stars:
1) Great communication, transparent and set reasonable expectations upfront - no surprises!
2) What was promised was delivered without any issues: dumpster delivered on time, permit pulled, accurate timeline (they actually completed a day early)
3) Labor team was on time, efficient, respectful and clean
4) Easy to do business with: I was given professional advice and options! From educating me on the insurance claims process, giving me financing options for out-of-pocket services to helping me choose material!

We worked directly with Quinn Evan's, he was incredibly professional and friendly! He was incredibly prompt with any questions we had and walked us through the process, making our experience with Apple Exteriors a positive one!

I can’t say enough good things about Apple Exteriors! From the start to the finished product they were professional, timely, experienced, with great attention to detail and their communication was top notch. Even with the weather not cooperating, they were able to finish the job on time and on budget which is not something I’m used to when dealing with other construction companies. Double thumbs up! Not a fan of them sticking their spam stickers on my house. “Your home may have sustained hail or wind damage... due to a recent hailstorm... can be difficult to notice and will make your home more susceptible to water leakage”. I’m pretty sure we haven’t had a single hailstorm in this area all summer but thanks anyways.
